Our dog Banjo enjoying a beautiful day with Bay Cruisers

We love Bay Cruisers for a beautiful day on the water. The ease of their dog friendly boats makes it a great experience every time. Banjo is a huge fan!

We wanted to try something new during our visit to Morro, so I rented a motorboat for an hour and a half. It's private, so whoever wants to drive gets a quick 5-minute rundown of the rules and can ask any questions. It was a perfect 60-degree day at our appointment time. The three of us enjoyed the boat ride, and I loved just floating near the seals and listening to them. They are so funny and kept us entertained. You can bring your own food and drinks, and they also provide a speaker for music. I would love to bring all the kids and grandkids on our next visit. 8/5/24

Want to be your own Boat Captain...Bay Cruisers might just be the ticket. We have enjoyed this experience twice in the 14 years we have lived on the Central Coast and the only thing that has changed is, of course...the prices. We elected to rent a private electric boat for ourselves and after a brief "how to lesson" we're ready to launch from the dock. We brought "snacks" to eat during our adventure and enjoyed using a provided Bluetooth Stereo Speaker for our preferred music. It is always "cooler" on the water, so bring a jacket just in case. We enjoyed cruising along the docks of the Embarcadero and looking at all the boats, as well as, the business facing the water. After...we headed towards the piece of "dock" in the middle of the water channel where the seals were enjoying "sunning" themselves. During our journey we also had the chance to see several otters (close up) enjoying a meal, while floating on their backs. The allocated "hour" is just enough time to accomplish everything stated above and not feel rushed...all in all, a fabulous and enjoyable "on the water" experience. On this occasion, in this Yelper's opinion...Bay Cruisers Electric Boat Rentals in Morro Bay was definitely "just the right ticket" to earn this "highly recommend" 5 Star review.

The ultimate Morro Bay experience is a cruise on a Bay cruisers electric boat. Nick is the consummate host and will help you know everything you need to have a great time. I loved getting to see the otters and the sea lions up close.

Easy to operator boat and instructions from staff made me feel comfortable, for being the first on my own. Small area in the water to troll around

Camping for the weekend in Morro Bay, we decided to find a boat rental that we could cruise the harbor in. After calling a couple of boat operators, we landed on Bay Cruisers. We partly decided to go with Bay Cruisers because the cost was significantly lower. Some in Morro Bay charge a flat rate and then $10 per additional person (after the first two people). With six adults and two children we opted to go with Bay Cruisers, which charged a flat rate of $100 (plus tip, don't forget to tip). We were able to get a same day rental for that evening and everything went well. They had life jackets for our 1 and 2 year old and the boat was easy to use. We rented it for an hour and it was so nice to see all the seals and otters in the bay! Would definitely recommend and will return.

So much fun! My mom surprised us with the boat rental on our last day of vacation and this will definitely be part of our trips to Morrow Bay from now on The staff was super nice and informative, they even gave us a speaker to cruise around with. There was an ice chest on board which was cool so you can literally have lunch on the bay, I can't wait to go back!

We had such a blast riding in our Bay Cruiser for the 2023 Christmas boat parade! The whole experience from reserving the boat, the boat instructions and them helping us back into the dock was all without flaw! Thank you Bay Cruisers!! We had so much fun decorating the boat, including the lighted blow up Biker Santa on a motorcycle !

    Kayaking

Yesterday my friend and I kayaked the bay. We had such a wonderful time. Thanks Bay Cruisers, you're the best!

What an exciting experience! We were honestly a little reluctant to purchase whale watching tickets…read moresince there's no guarantee that we would actually see a whale. We found a Groupon deal, which brought the cost down a little. Before buying tickets I figured I should ask if any whales had been spotted recently and I was told that they have been seen almost daily since the whales are in constant migration throughout the year. Still a little reluctant, but bought tickets for 1:30 and I'm so glad I did. The crew was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and informative. They knew exactly how far out to go (about 3 miles out) and floated us near multiple whales. Closest one was around 20 yds from the boat. This was our first whale watching outing for my whole family and Lost Isle definitely delivered. Well worth the money. Looking forward to doing it again for sure.

We went a little over time because they were having a hard time finding a while but we eventually found one, we got a small glimpse but it was staying under or just on the surface a lot so not much to see. We did get a great look at some river otters, we had a pack of sea lions swimming alongside the boat for a while which was so cool to watch. We had a great time and it's definitely something we'd consider doing again. They told us they typically have a little better luck with the early tours so we just need to get up earlier and be ready to go next time lol.

He knew exactly where to take us, and we ended up seeing 12+ whales up close, along with dolphins and seals. It was truly an unforgettable experience. What made the trip even better was how knowledgeable Mark was. He clearly knows the area, the wildlife, and his industry extremely well. He was able to answer every question we had and gave us a ton of interesting information throughout the trip without taking away from the experience. If you're considering whale watching in the Avila Beach area, I can't recommend Captain Mark and Avila Beach Whale Watching enough. 10/10 -- we would absolutely do it again!

Overall, this was a wonderful experience…read more It was scary in the beginning because the waves were a little rough. We sat in the front and experienced "flying boat" - as in the boat was rocking so hard it left the water for a bit. Lesson learned for me - in choppy weather make sure to always ride in the back. The Captain was extremely knowledgeable and customer service was flawless. He knew the ocean very well. When he realized we were getting pretty nervous he made sure that the boat stayed in a position that limited the rocking. He kept checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. We saw whales, otters, birds, sea lions, and porpoises. It was amazing seeing them in the wild and they were beautiful. Make sure to dress in layers. It was cold in the beginning but warmer when we were heading back to the dock.

True to it's name, if you have the cash you have a seat. To begin your voyage you and your group gather outside Captain Stew's office on the wharf. For all intents and purposes his office is really just a door with a grease penned phone number on it. Apparently you call the number and some person tells you to wait for the boat to show up. We just waited outside his door and walked right on board when he landed at the dock. No reservation needed. The tour is about 45 minutes, blankets and binoculars are there for your use. The captain does a good job with facts about the bay while trying his best not to hit the many kayaks that are tootling around. You'll probably see at least fifty sea otters as they're everywhere in the Bay. There's one other stop the boat makes on this trip and that's to pick up more/drop off passengers on the other end of the wharf. - Kids get a free stuffed fish - Yes, that's a Budweiser sign above the Captain's office door.. - There are several negative reviews for this tour, mostly along the lines of cancelled reservations. Look, would you trust a pirate with a reservation? Probably not, so just show up and if he's sailing that day have fun...If not, there are other outfits you can check out.. -Recommended
