Chicken Tikka Masala and Mix Grill

Went for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday at 3. After another recommendation was closed. I was worried because I read on Reddit that food was ok but customer service was terrible. Well I'm writing this so more folx know how great this place was. We loved our entrees especially the mixed grill! It was so tasty. You'd think everything would taste similar but each item was delicious and unique our favorite was the lamb (both ways) and the shrimp, but everything was tasty. We also got the chicken tika masala and it was delicious. We didn't love the samosas BUT the mint sauce it came with was some of the best I've ever tasted that wasn't from someone's home. The service was friendly and an appropriate speed for a sit down meal.

This place is a flavor bomb... Amazing food to begin! We come here a good bit and I can say that I'm always excited when my partner asks "can we get Indian food today?" We got the Tiki Masallah and Butter Curry with cheese Nan. Safe to say it was a great choice as we both cleaned our plates. The ambiance is very laid back, it's a mix between business casual and some people just dressed causal! Very welcoming! The service here tends to be on the slower side at time! Maybe they are short staffed cause there seems to be a server usually and some help from what look like the managers. Honestly the food is worth the wait though! It's also one of the only and best Indians spots in Baton Rouge. The others really don't compare to how good they make the food here.

Inedible. Made me sick even after I tried to put it out. This was $21. No naan. SMH.

I used to love this place. They're too expensive and the food is not cooked with love. I got lectured for ordering online on their website. I didn't know they didn't like that. I ordered 30 minutes in advance and when I got there, it wasn't even made!!. When I did get it, it was so full of greasy oil, it made me super sick. I think I got paid at work to sh*t half the day. Sorry for offensive language. The $21 meal DID NOT come with naan. I will not be back.

Sag Panneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Lamb Pasanda

Good place to meet friends for dinner in Baton Rouge on the way home from New Orleans. The food was really good, fresh and hot. Nice to grab a selection of veg and non-veg entrees. The masala chai tea was perfect for a chilly spring day. Sag Paneer is always one of our favorites and this one did not disappoint. Baby spinach with large cubes of homemade paneer cheese sautéed with creamy curry sauce. So yummy especially with the onion kulcha. The Chicken Tikka Masala, with chunks of chicken breast marinated in a yogurt sauce, baked in a tandoor and then curried in a creamy tomato base masala "mixture of spices" sauce, was so tender. So delicious. The Aloo Gobi Peas were also good and a bit spicy. Lots of potatoes, cauliflower and green peas cooked in a tomato and onion base sauce. The Lamb Pasanda was the least favorite of our entrees although the sauce was good. The lamb is marinated in cashmere spices, prepared with saffron and an almond sauce. Would not order this one again. We also ordered both the onion kulcha, whole wheat bread stuffed with finely chopped onions and spices, and the paneer kulcha, whole wheat bread stuffed with goat cheese, raisins and green herbs. Unfortunately, they brought out two orders of onion kulcha, because they could not tell the difference between the baskets of kulcha. Nice place for traditional Indian food in Baton Rouge.

This is most definitely the very best in Baton Rouge!! The food is always fresh. It's always served piping hot and that's what I like today. Me and my husband went for our wedding anniversary and we had lamb vindaloo, tandoori, chicken, saag paneer, garlic naan and those Indian sweet dumpling balls in honey syrup OMG DELICIOUS

This food was soooo good! I went with colleagues from India and they agree! My favorite thing I tried was the chili paneer, 10/10!!!! I also loved both the butter chicken and the chicken tikki masala. Will be back.

The food here was amazing. We got the chick tikka and the chicken curry for quick bite, I definitely recommend it. The staff is super super sweet but there is very few of them so if you come make sure you aren't in a rush. Overall you could the food was fresh and the experience was great. We will be coming back for sure !

    Is the lunch buffet reopened?

No, not yet. They're pretty strict in adherence to Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions. Hopefully soon though!

What is the current price for the lunch buffet? Is it same price on weekends and weekdays?

It's roughly $12 weekdays and I'm not sure how much it is on Saturday's . They do not offer a buffet option on Sunday. Thursday is a great day to go because they have the extra side dish with the potatoes and bread.

I also ordered the chili chicken I've usually had Sichuan style so I didn't know it would come in sauce but it was really good! Not too spicy. For my main I got the malai kofta and paired it with the paratha. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. The dumplings were perfectly spiced and soft. The buttery paratha paired so well with the rich sauce. It also made enough for leftovers the next day which I always love. Not in the area often but highly recommend to anyone who is!

Then I remembered this Indian restaurant that I tried before, even though my husband has not. I visited this place back when it was still smaller and had not expanded yet. I still remember the food being delicious so I was really excited to come back. We went around lunch time and it was not too busy. We decided to do the buffet since I knew they added it after the expansion, but I never got a chance to return until now. The buffet was 19.99 per person. I am not sure if that was a holiday price or the regular price. The food was amazing and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the mushroom masala and the butter chicken. Their goat curry was also very good, the meat did not have any strange taste or smell. I do not usually like goat so I was hesitant, but this one surprised me and I actually liked it. The service was super nice and attentive. The server noticed we did not have naan because they were out at the moment, and when the fresh batch came out he brought it to our table right away. He talked to every table and made sure everyone was doing good, and he also listened to feedback. Everything was great, but me and my husband both felt that having a few more food options would make the buffet even better. The selection was still on the smaller side, although I do understand Indian food can be more expensive and time consuming to prepare. I do wish they had samosas and garlic naan. The regular naan is good but garlic naan always hits different. If you do not want buffet you can also order plates instead. After about thirty minutes I noticed a lot more people started coming in, which means this place is well loved and popular. Overall it was a good experience. The price is a little high for the amount of selection, but the food quality is top tier so it still feels worth dining in. We would definitely come back again

Priya puts a lot of care and love into every single dish and you can tell that she truly wants everyone to have a good experience. That said, upon arrival, we did wait about 10 minutes before the server finally came over to take our orders. This place is extremely understaffed given the demand so the food also took a while to arrive at our tables. We ordered the butter chicken and the yellow cauliflower, two dishes that were warm and flavorful but not completely transformative. The roti bread was also a bit underwhelming as it lacked flavor and puffiness. The naan was a little bit more promising but given the price point--left much to be desired. We also noticed that all drink options are grab-and-go but nobody tells you that when you walk in. (We figured this out after watching a few of the regulars grab their beverages from the fridge.) One high point is that the service was friendly enough and there was a complimentary soup brought out to the tables before the meal is presented. All in all, while it is easy to enjoy the samosas and hummus dips sold by Priya at the farmer's market, the dining experience of being in her actual restaurant needs a bit more fine-tuning. 5/10 for this one ~

There was only one young guy taking all the orders , bringing the food, bussing the tables, and taking the checks. He had an adorable little girl who was also helping (she's another reason the rating isn't lower--she was a darling!) The guy was pleasant, but it took a long time to even take our order.
