The service was good -- the young man serving me was very polite. But I had albacore and salmon in a small bowl and the albacore was not fresh at all. Sometimes I can handle raw fish that's not fresh but in this case it had a weird taste and seemed like it had gone bad. I scooped out all traces of it to avoid stomach issues later. I think when you're serving raw fish, it's really important to check the quality each day. I came in at 11 am so it wasn't like it had been sitting out all day. The milk tea was strange tasting as compared to other milk tea places. I think they may have steeped it too long because each sip was bitter and had a bitter aftertaste. The cup that it came in was very cute though. I wish I could give them a better review as I had really looked forward to trying this place, but I don't think I will be coming back. read more

Updating my original review and taking away 2 stars. This place became our go-to for Poke, especially with the convenience of Door Dash, but our last several orders got screwed up. - Botched Order 1: My wife ordered a signature bowl and what came was a bowl with only rice, salmon, and seaweed salad. She was pretty livid because she was hangry. I called in and Esther took care of us, so all was forgiven. - Botched Order 2: My wife ordered her usual signature bowl and noticed that they were REALLY skimpy on the fish. Seeing is how Esther was good to us on the last mess up, she let it go. - Botched Order 3: We ordered our usual and both our orders came without the crab meat and seaweed salad. The order was also skimpy on the food, which again was pretty rare before. - Botched Order 4: They forgot to pack our boba drinks. We have two kids, one of which is a 3 month old. The days are long and the only thing we had to look forward to all day was that boba. And we didn't get it. And so we were sad. The food overall is still good, when they're not messing up the orders. read more

It is a new poke place next to the Sushi Boy and in the same plaza as the Carl's Jr. The selections here include a lot of different fish eggs and they have pineapple as a unique topping. One can also select tamago egg as a protein. It tastes as good as sushi from a sushi-go-round. The staff sounded bored, probably because it was off rush hour. There were only about 3 small tables inside, but there is a lot of seating outside in the plaza. Avocado is $1 surcharge. They have a fountain drink dispenser here. read more

It would take a lot for me to go back. My friend and I walked into this place for the first time this morning at 11. Initially i felt that the service was great but the food itself is low quality. I asked for avocado to which they said was $2 extra. I got it and went home only to realize that the avocado was hard beyond the point of being able to eat it and blackened. It's only been 30 minutes since leaving the restaurant so its not like it was sitting out or got too hot. As for the rest of the bowl, it was kind of slimy and bland which is indicative of old fish. The seaweed salad was slimy and had a strange aftertaste that i just cant explain. The rice was hard as if it was undercooked. In my overall opinion their prices are too high and their food was maybe 2 out of 5 stars. Do not bother going here, you'll be disappointed and leave with a stomach ache like I now do. read more

Came here on May 12, Sunday, 20 mins before closing. I've been here multiple times and this is the first time I'm disappointed in this place. The worker Justin told us that all rice were gone/out. However I was extremely starving so I decided to still order. When Justin was helping me out, I realized that the laddles/ spoons for each compartment of the food were not there. So he had to switch gloves every time he scoop the food. But that wasn't the worst part, every scoop he gave was a bite size. Justin is very stingy with his portions and also when I ask to put more, he give even lesser than what he originally put and this infuriated me!!! Come on you guys are closing in 20 mins and you have so much of the crab salad and shrimp, why can't you give more? Usually my poke bowl goes over the top but this bowl didn't even fill half of the bowl. Will not be coming here again read more

I use to love coming here but now the portions of fish have gotten smaller. I literally only had about 4-5 pieces of salmon in a little tiny scoop and so much rice left over. I basically only ate and consumed half my bowl because there was just too much rice and fish scoop we're tiny. Overall the quality is okay and the customer service is well. read more

First time here but it won't be the last. We did the large 4 protein bowls and they were great. Of course I had double scoops of tuna. 1 spicy tuna and the cooked shrimp and all of it was fresh and delicious. My wife had 4 scoops of salmon and she really enjoy it. Probably one of the best poke places in Irvine. Fish is usually fresh and at the perfect temperature. Tuna and salmon are my favs. Toppings and sides are good. They cut the fish to the perfect size. Today I came here for the first time! They have the best sauces that compliment the poke! I had a large with a salad base. The salmon and tuna were very fresh! I really liked the lime cream and garlic sauce! It's rare to find a poke place that has great sauces to enhance a salad! Yummy! read more

As a huge poke fan I'm always looking out for new places and I'm glad to say that Bay Poke is one of my new favorite poke spots. First off, they do not skimp on the food. I ordered a regular sized bowl (which comes with 3 proteins) and it was a lot of food! I got salmon, tuna, and yellowtail with the House sauce. They have a lot of other sauces I would like to try eventually such as spicy ponzu and gochujang. Another great thing is the fact they are really generous with the toppings. A good sauce, great sashimi, and good toppings make a great poke bowl. Tuna here has bright red color which means good grade sashimi. Salmon was firm and had good moiture content. I didn't try spicy salmon. Octopus was tender. The fresh lime smell from their Ponzu sauce was impressive. It was not too salty. I think they use less sodium soysauce. Bay poke has many good toppings and 3 kinds of fish eggs. I can't figure out how they make profit without charging extra for these. I had a great poke bowl here at reasonable price. I tried many poke places popping up recently. I love Jus Poke the best. However, among Pokinometry style build your own poke restaurants I like Bay Poke the best. Pokinometry bowl has too much oil sometimes. Spin fish's portion became so small. Mainland Poke is pricy and their sauce is not the best. Bay Poke's bowl has very large portions for the price I am paying for. It's house sauce is the bomb. I can't take too sweet or too salty food. It has the good balance of sweetness and saltiness. Tuna, shrimp, and imitation crab meat was very fresh and smelled great. Parking was good. Patio area was nice. read more

The pole place has good quality food but they put lots of rise and imitated crab... the three scoop is barely 2 scoop and I keep getting less and less salad even though I ask for half and half. I've tried Bay Poke a few times and it's always been really good but tonight was disappointing. One of our poke bowls was supposed to have half brown rice and half spring mix. Ashley K told us they were out of brown rice, which was not a big deal, but she gave us only white rice and no greens. And the Boba drink that I ordered did not come with a straw and the Boba texture was old and stale. I used to tell my friends this was my favorite poke place but now I will have to find a new go to place. read more

Yellowtail and salmon were not fresh, I was only able to eat 30% of my bowl. Bad fishy taste on both yellowtail and salmon. Since it's down the street, I gave it a second try and nothing changed. It's a shame I have a poke stop so close but I still have to drive 5 miles to another spot in order to find some decent poke. This is probably one of my favorite poke places in Irvine! The fish is so fresh. There's a good variety of toppings and sauces! I would recommend to get the garlic lemon drizzle!!!! They don't cheap out on the scoop amount. Customer service is good. Please give this place a try :) read more

I don't normally write reviews but then again, i don't normally get food poisoning. I tried this place for the first and last time yesterday because I love poke and this location is very conveniently located near my work. Later that day, I started getting very sick with sharp stomach pains. I couldn't sleep due to the pain and ended up throwing up, which is extremely rare for me. So proceed with caution friends and at the very least, don't get the spicy salmon. read more
