Price on the product doesn't match the price on the receipt!

Very corrupt, hideous and dishonest human nature you will meet in this place. Their listed prices don't meet the receipt price and when you tell them they continue to be deceitful and rude . This is not first time when I see this at them. I wrote in the past bad reviews for this place but I deleted and gave them a chance. They lost that chance today. Also, they don't tare the weight of the container out of the food price so you end up paying the weight of the containers as food which differs from food to food. Scam alert!

Always can find a large variety of favorite products. The store got much more organized, cleaner and customer friendly. Noticing new improvements every time I shop there in the last couple months, likely due to changes to the management...

Always check and open the pill packs! Today I bought Arbidol and together 20 tablets indicated on the package, there was exactly half inside (I was very upset because I needed to drink it in the course, I did not go back because I arrived at the opening from afar((

They also have some of the softest, most delicious pita I've tried. Part of the excitement in coming to an international market like this is getting a chance to try all kinds of foods you haven't before. I brought my bf here for the first time recently and he marveled over all the frozen appetizers. Additionally, I've gotten sugar-free chickpea cookies here that I would easily buy again. Smaller parking lot on the Vanowen side, much larger parking lot in the back.

I decided to go check it out for myself. What a find. First of all, it's not one store. It's a little international mini mall. And every single one of the merchants stores is occupied. There is a watch in time piece store. There's an international gift store. There's a dry cleaners and shoe repair. There's a kosher meat store. And I'm not sure what all else but it wasn't just a location for a grocery store. And then I walked into the grocery store and Man was I impressed. The store was laid out beautifully in a very old-school fashion where you could see all the cans in the aisles. The store proudly displayed seafood sign. Meat sign. And fresh vegetables. It was very easy to navigate the aisles as they were not overcrowded with promotional merchandise like most grocery stores. The other thing I like about this stores that you could actually touch the produce. Reminiscent of what you could do before grocery store started wrapping everything in plastic And on top of that I got three porterhouse steaks for $41. That is crazy cheap. This might be the first time I've come to the store in person but it's not gonna be the last.

Most of the items included a substantial "farmer's market premium", so it doesn't seem to be the sort of farmer's market where you're getting a bulk product for a better price by cutting out the middlemen. We paid $10 for a small container of honey, and another $10 for a few oranges. Then $16 for tacos, and $1 for bagels. Saw some poke for ~$34/lb which is also rather steep. There were also two stalls with food--fish tacos and also another stand with tamales.

Well, it's still bustling with vendors proudly showcasing their goods. Fresh grown produces straight from the farm. Farm to table to be exact. They also have a section where it's certified organic. Loads of fresh produce, fruits, veggie, eggs, pastries and so on. It does seem like they have a lot more food vendors compared to when I was last there. Also, more crafts and good as well. They have a section for that. Everything looked amazing and the colors of fresh fruits and veggies were great. There was only one vendor that sell fresh flowers. It's still busy as it alway has been. Pricewise, it's good.

Whenever I go down to the Los Angeles area to visit family I always make it a must to get some quality Jewish and/or Israeli food! Unfortunately our options for both are limited up in Northern California, but Angelenos are spoiled with their plethora of options in this space! I hadn't been to Super Sal Market in years! Probably since I had lived in the L.A. area 10 or so years ago. Super Sal is located in the South San Fernando Valley (Encino to be exact) on Ventura and White Oak. It is a Kosher/ Jewish grocery store that has a wide array of Jewish/Kosher/Israeli products! I was in the need for some Israeli spices to bring back to my wife so I knew I had to hit Super Sal up! When you walk in you're automatically amazed at how many Israeli products they've imported! Anything and everything from cereals, shampoos, cutlery, and even ice cream!!! (Seriously, someone tell me how that works?? Wouldn't it melt on the way over here?) You honestly feel like you're in Israel! They also have freshly baked breads, a deli section, and a wide variety of Sephardic foods too! I'm not as familiar with Sephardic Jewish food so it always intrigues me to see new goods I didn't know about before! Even if you're not Jewish or Israeli, a visit to Super Sal Market is still a fantastic cultural experience getting to see all the meats, foods, imported items, and more! I give Super Sal 4 out of 5 stars because they are a little expensive (which I get because a lot of their products are imported or difficult to find). And I wish their floors were a little cleaner. But at a time when antisemitism and Jew hatred is high in America it's important to support Jewish shop owners. In a nutshell, if you're in the San Fernando Valley and are looking for Jewish, Kosher, or Israeli products, hit up Super Sal for a unique shopping experience!
