Okay, so this place completely exceeded my expectations. It has a drive through and I expected it to be fast food. First, the vibe is so much fun. We were just going to grab lunch but they had a happy hour with B1G1 beers and they have $5 frozen raspberry margaritas. My hubs and I were super excited to try a chicken place so close to the house. We didn't know it was fast casual, so we were a bit confused when we were instructed by the staff, sitting at a table, to sit at the bar. The guy behind the bar was very nice. I think more people use the drive thru than come in. They were quite busy with to go orders. We started with beer and wine. I got the last rose which was the display and warm... we also got a dozen wings. They definitely had a baked vibe, but were good. They do have a ton of sauces, but the good ol wing sauce was my fav. I love this place and it is conveniently located next door to my work. First off, the staff is amazing. Everyone has a great attitude and makes you feel welcome when you are there. The food is soooooo good. I love the tenders so much. And the variety of sauces are great. I like the buttermilk ranch, the buffalo sauce and the comeback sauce. Those are my go tos but they have a bunch of great options. Everything I have had their had been fresh, delicious and comes out quickly. The main event... the Waldoritas. Frozen margs for only $5 cannot be beat. I like to stop in for happy hour too. 2-4-1 draft beers. I honestly cannot get enough of this place. Amazing food! Great service! I ordered the Tender box with 3 tenders, a side, and two sauces. I chose the Mac n' cheese and added ranch as well as a jalapeño ranch. I also opted for a sweet tea. All was so so good! The chicken was fresh and tasty! Not soggy at all. The mac n cheese was yummy. The jalapeño sauce was my favorite, a staff even let me have 2 extra of them to go. Just had a great first experience at Waldo's Chicken & Beer sitting at the bar with Azzy's service! She took the time to chat with us and have great suggestions. My colleague and I ordered their OG chicken sandwich, the chicken tenders, and fried pickles. The rocket sauce and jalapeño sauce were the perfect amount of heat with great flavor. The chicken was great as both the breast in the tender and thigh on the sandwich. The pickles potato wedges, and fries were also all really good! Though the first time, it will surely become a staple in our work lunch spots. read more

6/1/26-I was so happy when I found this location, but was super disappointed. The staff was ok, but where they lost points was on the food. The batter was falling off the chicken, the coleslaw was bland and gritty, the fries were limp, and the fruit tea was watered down and not sweet at all. This locations food was so bad when compared to the Southlands location. When people go to a chain they expect consistency in the product, and this location fails in the food. I'd recommend avoiding this location and going to one of the others. read more

Chicken places are omnipresent these days. And this is another mediocre example of yet another chicken chain that has tenders. My friend wanted to try a takeout experience. Their self proclaimed differentiator is that they fry their food in beef tallow. I couldn't tell the difference with the exception of the french fries. The chicken tenders were seasoned well and inline with average. They are breaded and fresh. Some of the breading fell off which tells me the proper technique wasn't followed. The fries were slim and limp which made them difficult to eat. They pleasantly tasted like potato though. Most of the sauces were fairly thin and not well balanced. We tried ranch, blue cheese, comeback, honey mustard, tender and white bbq. The honey mustard and ranch were the most successful. The chicken wings were very bland. They claim they are brined overnight but it wasn't evident. Note that they don't seem to be breaded. If you opt for the wings, you'd be better off getting them tossed in something probably. The mac & cheese was fine. They forgot our biscuit but I didn't have high hopes anyway. They did not charge the PIF that is customarily charged in this cluster of businesses called Glendale CitySet. This is a charge mandated by the property owner here on top of tax. This was great because we actively avoid businesses in this section because of it. read more

Denver has many good fried chicken places, but Waldo's blows away the competition. The moment you walk in and see crates of freshly harvested potatoes, you realize their commitment to their "scratch kitchen" ethos. These spuds will be processed for five days before hand-cutting, and the result is perfection. The same goes for the brining process they use for all chicken offerings and even the onion rings are freshly cut and hand-battered with a remarkable, light, yet crunchy coating. Seriously - the food is remarkable, matched only by the very personal, attentive service by the entire staff. I haven't tried the beer offerings, but the bar looks super cool too! read more
