    4 giant naans - $4

Came here on a whim because I had never heard or it before and I was intrigued that they didn't have a website or any online presence at all. This place is a Kurdish bakery that sells sandwiches and has a few frozen items as well. The vibe fits the area pretty well. No frills, and clearly not trying to assimilate to impress the American market. There are two large display case against the back wall. One holds pastries (baklava and the like) and one is completely full of freshly baked naans in 4-packs. The only "menu" or label of any kind is 5 pieces of printer paper taped to the wall above the kitchen listing the sandwiches they offer. Again, they're not trying to impress anyone with the current decor--but the food speaks for itself. I got a bag of massive naans for $4, and wow. I've never had anything quite like it. Picture your standard Indian naan, a little buttery, and completely covered in sesame seeds. So it has a really nice nutty smell and taste that I haven't had in naan before. I wish I'd been hungry enough to try the pastries or a sandwich, but it was worth it to try the naan. Highly recommended to stop by and pick up a bag if you're in the area.

The inside is what you would expect from your typical bar, dark moody atmosphere with several tv screens, billiard games, etc. We tried an order of mozzarella sticks, the fried catfish snack which came with a side of fries and Texas toast, added a side of loaded grits, and finally one of their most popular dishes, the chicken & shrimp gumbo. Everything tasted very good. The grits had strips of crisped collard greens which I thought were very unique and had a nice taste. Their chicken & shrimp gumbo I also enjoyed, but it was different than the traditional style. A little too heavy on the chicken and lighter on the roux, which was very thick, but I still loved the meal and would definitely return to try more!

The wait staff seem to also be bartenders, so they generally are busting their butts keeping the bar customers and food customers helped. Service isn't necessarily prompt or attentive but they are all really friendly and helpful. Given these conditions, the service is good. The food is decent. I don't remember what I ordered on a previous visit, but I regretted not getting something cajun, as I am a huge fan and it is a lot of the menu. This time I did get the chicken and shrimp gumbo and it was OK, but kind of bland. The portions are reasonable. Next time I would probably get a burger or something more grill specific and probably have a better meal.

The food is consistently amazing, with a menu that offers something for everyone. But what truly keeps us coming back is the incredible staff! Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and always wears a smile. A special shout-out to Nisa, who is absolutely wonderful! Her service and the team's genuine hospitality make every visit feel special. If you are looking for top-tier food and even better service in the NW Columbus area, this is the place to be! We cannot recommend them enough.

TL/DR Great food but rude server and very loud atmosphere…read more We had a reservation for 5:45 for a party of 7. There is literally no where to stand while you wait for your table...and wait we did. We were shown to our table at 6:10. The hostess told us they had a party of 30 and party of 40, so we tried to be understanding but also-they accepted the reservations-so kind of on them. Our server had an attitude from the moment she approached our table. She was waiting on one of the parties, but still... We were sitting in the back room and it was LOUD. Like couldn't hear other people at our own table loud. We had an older person in our party and when we asked our server to come to the other side of the table so he could hear her, she didn't-so she ended up misunderstanding and bringing him the wrong drink. There was a guy who we *think* may have been a manager hanging around, but he never did a table touch, so hard to tell. We had questions because gluten free food is offered but not marked on the menu or online, it said ask your server. She was annoyed but we have allergies so...I will say they have really good gluten free options; however when we reconfirmed that she had gotten the gluten free bun she was annoyed again. The only reason I gave 2 stars (the one redeeming quality) was the food. It was all excellent and cooked perfectly. The server didn't come back to check how things tasted-but someone in our party flagged her down to get lemon wedges for her seafood pasta. The waitress literally rolled her eyes, grabbed lemons wedges from the bar and brought them in a cup that she slammed down and walked away without a word. We ordered dessert because we were there to celebrate a birthday. Before dessert came, our server cashed us all out. This is what put me over the edge: WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING she slammed down a reserved sign. When we started standing up, she picked it up. Most restaurants allow for 90 minutes for reservations to turn a table. We were only at the table for 70, so we totally weren't lingering. I might give this place another try because the food was so good, but because of this experience, I'd definitely think twice.
