My pedicure was ok...but my friend's manicure was horrible. She was told it was gel but it wasn't and it came off right as we left. She redid her nails AND charged her more. The owner of BB intentionally LIED to me. Looking for BLue Ocean at #157 I asked the woman at BB Salon if she'd direct me to #157...Blue Ocean Salon. She said that they (Blue Ocean) had changed their name and that she was them!! The salon did not look like the pictures that I saw online so questioning her sneaky comment I stopped in a little business next-door. That owner directed me to the correct salon, Ocean Blue - across the parking lot- and told me that BB nail salon got terrible reviews and not to go there! First of all, the only reason I gave this a star is because I needed it to write a review, otherwise it would be zero stars. I was warned by the reviews, but I thought it would have improved since those reviews had been years old and one would figure. My sister and I were in the area and we thought,why not, let's give it a shot and thought we would get a decent foot massage...but that's not how it happened...so this is our story..it will be as an outline since there are just so many negative outcomes to this experience. * "bug water" As we walked in to sit in our chairs for a pedicure, my water had bugs in it and was cold. I had to ask the lady to clean out my tub, change the water, and even put hot water in it. Her comment to me was "oh, you so smart" * "water pipes" My sister could hear the water going through the pipes behind her chair and as she looked back to check, she could see the pipes revealed and right by it, a mess of hair products and dyes since she was also right next to the sink where they wash hair * "bare feet" As the lady finishes my sisters pedicure, note, afterward my sister noticed the terrible job she did and the lady leaving nail polish on her skin on both her mani and pedi; she asks her to walk to the chair where she can do her gel manicure but does not even give her sandals or even help her put sandals on to walk across the disgusting floor and past the area where she had just cut some guys hair 15 minutes before, and barely swept the area. * "eyebrows" The lady bluntly tells my sister to wax her eyebrows and starts asking why she doesn't wax her eyebrows and kept on insisting on it so I butt in to explain to her why we thread instead of wax and she STILL continuously insisted on it. * "bare feet part two" The guy who did my pedicure also told me to move to the chair so he can do my manicure. Again, he had offered no help to put sandals on and I even had to ask for a pair of their sandals since I had tennis shoes so I couldn't put those on, obviously, to walk across the disgusting floor. Another thing is they didn't even massage our feet or hands like a normal salon would do since we pay for it. * "manicure" He begins my manicure, and by the end of it, I had to tell him of all the spots he kept on missing in order to make them even. He would start from the middle of the nail making it clumpy and the clear coat making it worse. He'd get nail polish on my skin, not even cleaning it off and I had to ask him to clean it up with acetone. The result was them looking like something my 2 year old daughter could do. The same occurred with my sister as she had to basically tell the lady what to do. Rant over, this place should be shut down because of the terrible service, blunt comments, dirty areas and their no attempt for improvement. Can't believe I spent $100 on this !! As a new person in the PB area, I was recommended to go see Bing by someone who has been going to her for 21 years. I've now been twice (hair removal and hair cut) and I have found her to be immensely hilarious, fast in what she does, with good quality work for everything. She has made both experiences even fun. I went in the day before my wedding asking for beautiful nails (I'm from Arizona, so didn't know any good nail places in the area) They gave us a sob story the whole time while me and my husband were getting our nails done. Both of our fingers were bleeding from all the rough work she did. And she left acrylic all over my nails, and they looked HORRIBLE compared to what I asked for. I felt bad, until I realized what I even went there for. I immediately went to another salon up the road, and they fixed my toes and fingers while apologizing for this salons mess ups. This place is a complete disaster and I really think they should be closed down! My daughter and I went for a mani/pedi special for $30 (which means $60 for the two of us). There was only one lady there-I assume the owner, and a guy-I assume the husband. The wife starts manicure on my daughter, while husband starts my pedicure. Manicure is mediocre, but whatever. Husband nicks my middle toe-I say 'ow!' and he literally blames it on my skin! I tell him I've been getting pedicures for the past 20 years and no one has ever cut my skin.. again, he says it's my skin that is the problem. He the proceeds to put the 'cuticle oil' on my toes, and it starts burning the cut.. I tell him my tie is now stinging, and he says there's nothing to do about it. I ask the wife (remember, she's doing my daughter's manicure) to our something on it-she says 'we have stuff' but doesn't do anything. After filing my SKIN (this is not an exaggeration-he cut my nails so short he literally filed my skin), he then left. Wife came over to finish the polish and he used a q-tip on my toe to stop the bleeding. We went in for a mani-pedi EACH-it was so bad, we left with a mani (daughter) and pedi (me), and cut toe. $65.00!! So much for the $30 special! this has got to be the worst place to go for a wax!! i would avoid this place at all cost. i stopped in for my lip to be waxed while on a vacation. i was walked to a small crowded room by a woman with wet hair and a towel on her head. should have been my first clue. once in there she took it upon herself after asking if i wanted my eyebrows cleaned up to wax my face. not just my lip or then eyebrows but my face!! followed it up with a garbage tinted cream she globbed all over my red and rashed skin. im almost 40. im cuban and italian. im supposed to have peach fuzz on my face and i like it. i have had an uncomfortable rash for 2 days on my face. this place shouldnt even be open. i wanted to throw the business display signs that are out near the boardwalk in the trash. to top it all off i paid for this crap. do not go here. here's a pic of my before face that needed waxing and now rash i've got. my skin. hurts. so unbelievably ridiculous!!!!!! read more

My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised to happen upon a shop that was open New Years Day. We were excited to do mani-pedi together and get some quality time in. The husband and wife were the only ones working. The husband took on pedicures and the wife did our manicures. We were a bit disappointed that they split us up and didn't do both at the same time - there were no other customers. The pedicures were the least thorough, quickest pedis we have ever had. A minute of soaking, NO massaging and barely any foot filing. Same thing with the manicures - minimal attention, quick clean up and polish - no massage - and out the door we go. Additionally, my polish was chipping by the end of the day. Total cost was $75. No value, at all, for the expense. Would NOT recommend this place. read more

Bing, the owner is a great hair stylist and always makes me laugh. Prices are very reasonable and I have been coming here for over a decade. The shop is very clean in a great location. She did not do the side edges of my nails and polish was not even on my nails and toes. They should be shut down. The few positive reviews on here must be friends and lists. Very poor quality - total waste of our money! I was supposed to get a nice manicure with my daughter and we came to the door and said that we had called. My daughter showed her a picture and the end result looked nothing like it. Her nails are now broken and there is polish on my daughters skin and some places on her nails don't even have any, we will have to do it ourselves. Whilst I was doing my nails she told my daughter to sit down on a chair, but the chair had junk on it and she didn't even bother to remove it. Of corse my daughter couldn't move the things because she didn't want to ruin her manicure, therefore she had to sit on the very edge of the chair. Lastly, they didn't even have a nail dryer and let us out before they were fully dry. Very bad experience, overpriced and do not recommend. read more

I have been going to Bing at B&B for over 20 years. Haircuts are always excellent and fast. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

My sister and I came in on Fri, Oct 17, 2017, at 2PM, me for a spa pedicure, and my sister for a manicure (regular) and spa pedicure. No customers were there, just an older man and woman, assuming the owners/proprietors. We did not get gel nor did we have gel polish on. We picked from the non-gel rack of polish for color choice. First, when it was time to pay, they charged for gel polish removal on our pedicures, despite how many times they were told we had regular polish, and indeed that is easy to tell! The woman insisted over and over. Clear rip-off. She did the same thing insisting my sister pay ANOTHER $5 more for gel polish--that the polish she had selected was gel. We both know what gel polish is, we've had it on our nails--me many times, and that was not gel polish. They are rip off people racking up extra money from tourists they think are not return visitors. And we won't be repeat guests here EVER. The manicure pealed off, and they both did a poor job on the pedicure in every sense. I know they must hate doing this, but if you want repeat business, then do a decent job. This place is not good service, they overcharge, and they do poor work end to end. They do not care. You are a money source, no more. Save your time, and skip this place. A woman in this place out and out lied to me.I had called Saba Threading to get my eyebrows threaded. Her address was 4150 Mission Blvd, same as BB Beauty, but I did not have a suite number. I stopped in BB Beauty to see if it was the right place and the woman said, yes, I had called her. This seemed doubtful because her voice did not seem the same. So I read out the phone number I had called and she said it was her phone number. Then she said she did waxing, not threading. I was quite sure I had asked about threading, so I left and wandered around the shopping center until, further over in the shopping center, I found Saba in the Bella Ray salon. Nail color selections were terrible, mani/pedi was terrible not even a little rub or exfolation on my poor feet. A man and woman did it not sure the names, one on hands one on feet. They spoke to one another (in a different language) then proceeded to criticize me about my eyebrows and what not trying to get me to pay for other services I did not want. An hour after I left both my fingers and toes were not dry and the polish smuged on 4 or 5 nails total. It was a sure waste of money/time and made me extremely cranky when I was trying to get ready for vegas! If I could give this place a zero I would. This was my first and last visit there. I went in with my daughter to get a mani and pedi. I had the man do my toes and the paint job was terrible. My three year old could have done a better job. He got nail polish on my skin and didn't cover the nail 100 percent. On my big toe the polish was clumpy. I was sitting there just watching because surely he was going to redo it it wasn't hard to tell that it was not a good pedicure. Then I had the older lady do my manicure and it was just as bad. She got nail polish all over my cuticles and didn't even clean it up. My daughter's nails looked the same. Nail polish on her cuticles. I was visibly unhappy with the service but I paid and got out of there only to have to come back 30 min later because the nail polish on my toes smudged right off. It hadn't dried after 30 min? I was so upset I went back told them what happened the lady was very nice and re did the polish. It looked a lot better than what the gentleman did but still not salon quality. Not only was the pedicure and gel manicure terrible quality, the customer service was even worse! While I was there the female technician told me, "you're too young to have that much grey hair". I thought I was coming to be pampered not upsold and insulted. After the gel fell of THE NEXT DAY, I called back to ask for my money back. The guy told me we would have to come in so the technician who did the manicure could see what happened. My friend (whose gel also fell off the day after) and I went back. The guy was completely rude and said the lady wasn't there he was not going to give us our money back. Luckily she walked in as we were standing there. We told her what happend and she was also TOTALLY rude about the whole thing. Not once did she appologize for the inconvinenence, she told us she would do it again and thats ALL she could do for us. After much back and forth she offered to give us $10 back. She then told us, "what goes around comes around, and this is on our hearts". She also said we were only coming back for our money because our party was over, NOT true at all! I get gel manicure done on a regular basis and have NEVER had the gel fall off the next day... Nice people but crappy service. They convinced my fiancé to do his eyebrows which I totally don't care about but the two pedicures, manicure and eyebrow wax took under and hour. May seem ok but the woman worked on my fiancé and the man worked on my feet. My fiancé for a pedicure, manicure and eyebrow wax and that itself was as long as it normally takes me to do just my pedicure back home. Kind ridiculous because the biggggggggest issue I had was the dude clipped the sh*t out of my big toe which caused it to bleed! And no I have a open wound. Come on now! And they just in general were very persistent and because my fiancé can't say no they talked him into a brow wax and a manicure which the brow wax was great, but then again it was needed since he never got one in his life. But the manicure was under 5ish minutes, I could do that. Also the pedicure I had was about 7 min max, idk where you may go but where I'm from you pay 25 for a pedicure that last well over half hour. The pedicure is so bare minimum I think it should be complementary for cutting skin and exposing you to infection! Anyways...just no...like don't... Seriously don't go, it's not healthy. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I walked in to get one nail fixed which ended up being two because I did not want to risk it falling off at work. I told the incompetent lady that was working there that I had acrylic gel on my nails, not clear acrylic with paint. She said she could make it look the same. The color I was going for was a silver glitter because that's the original color it was! She ended up putting clear acrylic with GREY paint and sparkles on top. It looked nothing like the original color!! As they were "drying" she said it was $10, which is twice what I pay with my regular nail lady and it was just paint! I didn't really care considering it was spur of the moment and i needed them fixed. I get up after sitting there in front of a fan(which means there was no gel put on top) and they are still wet! Mind you I have to go to work and do dishes and deal with food so they wouldn't have lasted long. I tell her and she told me to HOPE they dry by the time I get to work. So I ask her well what if they don't and she didn't have an answer. I ask her what she suggests I should do and she just kept saying that's what I wanted. NOOOOOO, that was never what I wanted. So she takes it off with ONE SIMPLE WIPE and it comes right off (that's how I know it wouldn't have lasted)! She kept suggesting to do the same thing to my nails as she did before and I was already late so I didn't have time. I finally asked if they even had color gel acrylic and she said yes, so why the FUCK would you have not given me that in the first place????? She said it wouldn't work with the sparkle on top of it and in my head i'm thinking, well that's funny because my regular nail lady does that ALL THE TIME. She was the rudest nail lady I have ever encountered and I left with plain clear acrylics when my nails were BLUE AND SILVER!! No wonder the nail shop was empty, because of the horrible service! What kinda nail lady would let a PAYING customer walk out of there shop with a plain nail. I am beyond pissed and will never return there again.
