We typically order through DoorDash, but this time we decided to pick it up in person. The service was really slow despite there being no one else in the store at the time. It sounded like there were only two people working in that weird, back hallway area behind the counter. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured they must have plenty of online orders to work through so I gave them some time but after 5 mins had passed and no one telling us that they'd be right there, I became frustrated and called out to whoever was back there for help. Especially since we were here to pick up our food that should have been ready moments ago. This Asian lady finally comes out from the back area but tells us to hold on as she needed to wash her hands. Understandable. I just didn't understand why they couldn't have told us that when we first arrived that they'd be with us in a second. It felt like no one was there to help us. While waiting, I also noticed that their kitchen door was being held open by what looked like a gallon of sauce. If their QSC person was there, they'd surely get points off for that. Either way, we finally got our food and went on home. We typically would get the honey garlic wings - which are to die for - but this recent time, we got the soy garlic and spicy galbi wings. I've been thoroughly impressed with the tremendous growth that bb.q chicken business has had. I recall eating at their location at the Diamond Jamboree plaza to now they have so many locations across Orange County. They have also improved their menu with so many different sauces and it feels more mainstream to other taste buds now. This is my go to location now, the staff are easy going and the service is fast. I usually order the half-half or just wings. I'm still a fan of the SoyGarlic sauce and always make sure to order that flavor. We also enjoy ordering the kimchi fried rice with cheese. It's so moist and really tasty. The white radish that comes on the side is also a good crunch in between bites of Korean fried chicken. This location is also in the same plaza as 7 leaves which is one of the better boba shops in the area so if you really want to load up on calories you can get chicken there and drinks at 7 leaves. read more

Me and my friend decided to try this spot and wow, didn't disappoint. We met two of the workers and they were both very friendly and helpful. We ordered their Honey Garlic and their Hot Mala (which was a suggestion from both of them) and they were both delicious. We had cheese sticks and sweet potato fries that the kids enjoyed eating. Order was ready when I got there (I always give a little bit more time with Korean BBQ Chicken). The store is small but clean and modern. The workers there were really nice, masks were being worn. This was a great pickup experience! The good: 1. Golden Original Chicken Whole - The batter was so crispy and crunchy! The chicken had great flavors and seasoning on it's own without any sauce. My sister recommended I get it plain (to keep it crispy) and order the sauces on the side. The sauces can get pricey but during these times, I would rather support local businesses like this. The alright: 1. Secret Spicy Sauce - Was more sweet too me. Actually I didn't taste any spice at all. I felt this sauce was alright as I didn't really crave it. 2. Soy Garlic Sauce - I tried a bit by itself and it overwhelmed me with too much garlic. However after I tossed it with my chicken, it did taste better. I liked this slightly better than the Secret Sauce but still I would want to try the Honey Garlic next time. 3. Kimchi Fried Rice - I do like that they added quite a bit of chicken but I really wished they used more kimchi. The flavors just didn't have that punch I was looking for. Warning, if you place an order online through yelp, there is no guarantee that it is ready, even though it says it is ready on the app. The Yelp app told me that my order was ready at 3:30 PM. I actually arrived at 4 PM and they told me it would take another hour. So I came back an hour after, just like they instructed me. But by then, my order was getting a little soggy. Great crispy batter, juicy wings, and one of the better packaging boxes that you get for takeout. No fogging up or anything that makes it soggy. They had a combo 1/2 & 1/2 and you can only choose from the original and sweet/spicy. You can't change it, but no matter: it was still good. You get served complimentary Korean Pickled Radish with the chicken as well. Sauce is extra. Original: 5/5 Easy. Batter is on point. Chicken is one of the best fried chickens I've had. Hot Spicy: 4/5 not spicy IMO, but I still liked the sauce nonetheless. Even if it's their hottest item on the menu, it's still pretty tolerable for people even for non spicy lovers. Anyways, my biggest complaint is that the sauces were $2. Furai gives them for only $.50, and sometimes free, and at BBQ Chicken was a lot for a spot that had decent amounts of chicken. Wait time was long af too. I "only" waited 60 minutes after ordering, while after me I've heard wait times of almost 90 minutes while picking up. This was NYE on a Thursday though so I imagine weekends to be about as busy. Order over the phone next time, you'll have a better time. Amazing Korean fried chicken wings... I've been to a couple other locations of this KFC joint and I'm happy to say that the Tustin location has been consistently good the past couple visits. My favorite flavors to order are the Soy Garlic or Honey Garlic. Both are similar in terms of flavor but the soy garlic I think is more savory and umami compared to the honey garlic. The fried chicken here is absolutely incredible because of how crispy and juicy the chicken is! It stays crispy for a long time even if it sits out for a bit. If you love chicken wings this is a must try spot! I can't see how you could be disappointed with the quality of food they serve here. read more

Having recently come back from Korea and having bbq chicken in korea, this unfortunately was a bit dissapointing. Even the worker there warned us that it wasnt going to be the same. I know everyone has their preferences when it comes to fried chicken but felt that the breading was just too heavy and the chicken was underseasoned. 03/12/2021 Hubby and I decided to pick up some songs and give this new place a try. We ordered a medium order of Galbi wings with the sauce on the side. It took 20 minutes for our order. The chicken was battered and it reminded us of Pioneer Chicken thick coating. Not my favorite type of coating but it was still crispy. The chicken inside was cooked well and was very moist. Hubby said he should've ordered the golden chicken where it was bread crumb battered. I didn't see that so I'll have to check the menu again. The Galbi sauce was good, not too sweet. I don't use much, just for dipping. The container did keep the chicken warm and crispy for the drive home. It's in located in the same parking lot as Gen so it could be hectic in the lot but I've never had trouble finding parking near bb.q chicken. The inside is small but never full as people usually do take out. The staff is friendly and food takes about 20 mins or so but there's a 7 leaves so you could get boba while you wait. I think 2 orders of the chicken is enough for 2 people if you're hungry. I've tried Gangnam style, soy garlic, honey garlic and spicy galbi. I have to say spicy galbi and soy garlic are my two favorite flavors. Idk what sorcery goes into making the chicken (they have the process on the wall) but it's my favorite fried chicken wings. Even though I live in Irvine, and there is some near bb.q chicken, I would like to visit here because better taste. This shop only have a lunch set, which is 6 pics of boneless chicken and fries, it's enough for one people lunch. The kimchi fired rice is not really bad, but I don't want to order more, just chicken chicken chicken. One day I order here and cashier said it will take 10 mins. However, after 10 mins, when I ask about my chicken, she said 5 mins more. As a result, I'll get my chicken after 30 mins after I ordered it.
