This is always one of my go to spots for consistency in a well prepared dish, and great customer service. It's not quite your high dollar restaurant $$$, nor your typical greasy fast food place. My usual menu choice is chicken nachos, which is more than enough for one person, usually. My food was brought out relatively quickly, and perfectly combined pinto beans, Jack cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and plenty of chicken. The dining room was bustling with crowds coming and going, and the outdoor seating area was well occupied as well. I went around dinner time (6:30/7), and despite how full the restaurant was, there was still enough room to fit our party of four with multiple tables still open. They do serve your usual fountain drinks, sangria, and Jarritos, while also offering a variety of beers both domestic, and imported. The food tasted right there and is not overly salty. Wasted my money here. If you want to try baja fish tacos don't go to the tustin branch go to the santa ana branch. Solid spot for Baja-Style Mexican grub! The restaurant itself was very organized and clean as you walk in which is always pleasing and the staff were efficient and friendly. I ordered the 2 taco combo which consisted of an Ensenada style fish taco and shrimp taco. The fish taco had that perfect fish-to-batter ratio where it didn't taste like pure batter and you can actually enjoy the fish which was excellent. It could have used a bit more of that famous white sauce that I enjoy but the salsas they offer at the bar made up for that, so all good. The shrimp taco was the show stealer though; on a flour tortilla, the shrimp was wonderfully seasoned in a blackened sort of way and they were definitely generous with the amount of shrimp and was perfect with the green salsa they provided at the bar. This particular location can be found near the intersection of Jamboree Road and Irvine Blvd. I always order the Taco & Enchilada Combo when I visit any of their locations - cheese enchilada, all rice and no beans, and a fish taco Ensenada style is where it's at! You can't go wrong with a cheese quesadilla for the kiddos. My daughter and I also tried their cheese nachos, but it was disappointing because all the cheese turned into a solid sticky mass. We washed down our meal with a fountain beverage. I found both the cashier and restaurant staff at this location to be super friendly and helpful. The original Lake Forest location was may favorite lunch spot for the last 10 years. Was excited to learn they were opening one in Tustin Ranch. I finally had the chance to visit and ordered my go to dish, blackened fish burrito with green enchilada sauce on top. The taste was exactly like I remembered. Their salsa bar is consistently being restocked with fresh pico de gallo and is probably my favorite part about this spot. Other notable dishes are their original fish taco and fresh ceviche. I've been to their other location and so I knew this spot was a safe call for lunch. Their fish tacos are pretty good. I enjoy both the blackened and charbroiled. I got the plate and it comes with a good portion of rice and beans. I usually will also order a side of chip and salsa so that you can have a bigger container to put the self-serve pico de gallo in. Huh, how have I not written a review for this place yet! It finally opened in 2025. I've been here a couple of times now. I love the location since I live near by. The prices are a little high, however, the food is good. I've gotten their taco plates where I sub for salad and it's really good. I believe they even offered taco tuesday price which was nice. I just tried their baja salad with a protein as well and it was good. A little on the smaller side for the price for everything was fresh. They have a salsa bar so help yourself. I had a great experience and really need to come here more often! All I ordered was one street fish taco and it was all I needed! My family told me they load up each taco and they certainly did! Since the tacos come on 2 corn tortillas, I separated the tortillas and basically had 2 full fish tacos. That with the chips and guac we shared was plenty of food for me! I liked the self serve salad bar so we were never short of any salsa or toppings. It was a very hot day when we visited so I was very happy to see plenty of seating inside. For nicer days, there is also plenty of seating outside. It does seem to be a popular lunch spot so it does get crowdesd during peak times so prepare for that! I understand why this place is always packed with a line out the door. My husband and I came for dinner tonight (Friday) around 6:30pm. Everything was delicious, soooo flavorful, and FRESH. We got the 2 taco combo (shrimp taco, Ensenada style fish taco, black beans), one blackened fish taco, and an order of the tacos de papa. My favorites were the Ensenada style fish taco and the tacos de papa, but everything we ordered was amazing. The salsa bar was fully stocked and everything was fresh. The portions were generous. Flavors were perfect. Service was fast, super friendly, and warm. It was so busy but all the workers were locked in. Went there on a Friday at 6pm and the place was packed. My wife ordered an enchilada w rice & beans and I ordered a charbroiled fish burrito wet. They severed her plate at least 15 minutes before mine, I'm ok with that if mine takes longer to prepare. However my burrito wasn't hot. Its temperature was indicative that it was ready 15 minutes earlier. I requested a new one which they readily agreed. It was more than 20 minutes before the replacement burrito arrived. The steak tacos are #1 here. Cheese melted on two tortillas, LOTS OF meat seasoned and charred, some chopped lettuce and their house pico. So simple, done to perfection. I really love their steak, it's really good quality and they give so much of it on your taco (for $17 a plate it better be loaded...) The blackened fish taco was also grilled and seasoned extremely well, underneath a bed of chopped cabbage, everything was fresh. The red salsa was smokier and spicier, while the green salsa was pretty ZESTYYYY, I preferred this one over the red, but both tasted great with the chips. I loved the pico as well, so yummy. Their salsa bar also had whole peppers, limes, onion and cilantro, and they also had Mr. Pibb! Service is always so friendly and efficient, and the shop is so so clean. they always are restocking something or sweeping somewhere and the cleanliness of the place also stands out to me. I got a one taco (chicken) one enchilada (cheese) combo. It came with rice and beans. My partner got a two enchilada (chicken) combo. We split a side of chips. They bring you a large salsa container that you can fill with their house made salsa when you get the chips -- highly recommend the red salsa! I am used to tiny tacos. Not the case here! I'm a bit surprised by the high ratings of this new restaurant. I ordered a combo plate consisting of a charbroiled fish taco, ensenada style enchilada, beans and rice. The taco is plain by itself so you have to add lime and salsa for it to have any flavor. $5 for that taco alone is diabolical. In contrast, the plate had somewhat more depth and texture. Overall, the high price of their combo plate did not meet my expectations. I can go to Miguel's or a Mexican fast food chain with a coupon instead for half of the price we paid. On the upside, the restaurant is clean and the staff are very nice and efficient.
