I love how the place is connected to the Pasadena hotel. It was really nice sitting in the lobby eating the food from this place. They have amazing breakfast burritos. A simple menu with not that many choices which is perfect for somebody like me. The workers there are also very nice and friendly. Being attached to the Pasadena Hotel was nice. Great place to have a Saturday morning breakfast burrito. Hotel lobby had a lot of vintage decor and games. Courtyard was nice and peaceful. Now the burrito. It was tasty. Got the pork chile verde with sunny side egg. Had good flavor and the potatoes were bomb. Crunchy and flavorful. Egg was nice and runny and made a good sauce and kept the burrito moist. However. I think I counted 2 pieces of pork. I got 1 piece on my first bite and found another piece at the end of the burrito. For a $16 burrito 2 pieces of pork! So for a potato and egg breakfast burrito. It was very good. Update! I changed my 3 stars to a 5. Went back for this epic burrito. They changed the pork on the Chile Verde burrito to pork shoulder and it's much better I think. It's a little messy but with the over easy egg it's so juicy and full of flavor. It's one of the best breakfast burritos in the SGV. I noticed that there are two kinds of potatoes but both are really good. We'll definitely be returning again. read more

The spot is located on the corner of the Pasadena Hotel. While it's not affiliated with the hotel, you do get access to the courtyard--which I'll get to in a moment. I received my burrito in a reasonable amount of time, even though there were plenty of walk-up and pickup orders. When we asked if there was seating, we were directed to the courtyard, which was spacious with plenty of tables and shade. Strolling through the Pasadena Hotel, you'll notice everything is well-maintained and clean. Now, onto the burrito! We unwrapped it, and wow--those potatoes were delicious! The way they prepare their potatoes is noticeably different from what you'd find at most local spots. Typically, other places that use potatoes in their burritos rely on frozen hashbrowns, but not here! This place uses freshly prepared, layered, crispy potatoes that add a whole new level of flavor. But I can't get on board with places like this - that overcharge for a stingy portion of food. Where to start!? The burritos are delicious and you can really see the time and effort they put into making them. I get the braised pork with scrambled eggs. The potato pavé is really an amazing touch to the burrito! Don't be scared of the habanero salsa because it's not spicy. If you want something spicy to add to your burrito they do offer hot sauce packets. The coffee is also amazing and you can tell the barista loves his job and truly wants you to enjoy your drink. The vibes are immaculate! There is indoor and outdoor areas to eat within the Pasadena hotel and if it's not too busy they will even deliver your food to you with a smile. This place is a must visit. Not one to write reviews but I was pretty unsatisfied. I got the pork burrito and the meat was all fatty, potato's were soggy, and the eggs were mid. They also forgot to put cheese on mine so that was disappointing. Salsa also didn't live up to expectations-- sour flavor not much spice. Wouldn't come back again but maybe I went on a bad day???? Tried this place for the first time. Its connected to the beautiful Pasadena Hotel and I was excited to try it out. The BBAD staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. The portion was generous, but I was taken aback by the $17 price for a Bae-con (bacon) burrito at an order-at-the-counter restaurant. The burrito was okay, but with perhaps too much sour cream, for my taste. The nice thing is that you can eat in the hotel lobby (tables are available) or in the hotel courtyard, which are both beautiful. Had high hopes for this place and really wanted to like it, but it was just mediocre and a bad value for the price. The potatoes inside are pretty tasty, but they missed the mark when they made a burrito place without offering any spice whatsoever. The salsa they provided was bland and the "hot" sauce the gave me was only slightly less bland. There's really no excuse for a burrito place to mess up hot sauce and salsa that bad when you can literally buy bottles of Yucateco hot sauce at any nearby grocery store for $2-3 a bottle. Lucky Boy remains the spot in Pasadena for breakfast burritos. Compared to BBAD, Lucky Boy has larger sized burritos, cheaper price, a way better salsa, and also offers spicy yellow peppers to snack on for added flavor. If you are going to eat here, be sure to buy a bottle of Yucateco hot sauce at a nearby supermarket and bring it with you. read more

I may not be the first to review but I'm proud to say I believe I received the first burrito sold at this spot during the soft opening a couple weeks ago. I got the pork belly, because, when something like that is on the menu you have to go for it. It was by far the best breakfast burrito I've had in LA - which is to say it's the best I've ever had. The potatoes are amazing - no tater tots here - these are high end dining stile pave potatoes in a burrito that is at the same or better price point than most of the other specialty breakfast burrito spots in LA. I've had most of them and these are the best potatoes. The pork belly may be the star of the show, but the most unique part of this specific burrito is the slow cooked chile verde. You have to try it to understand - it adds a new level of savory and delicious flavor and acid that goes perfectly with the rich pork. I loved it so much I took another pork belly and a bacon burrito to go to share with my wife. They do reheat pretty well, but I highly recommend eating on site for full effect. The shop also has an amazing vibe with chips and snacks as well as cold drinks. I paired my pork belly burrito with a cane sugar coke and it was perfect. The team is super nice and the service was quick and top notch even during the soft opening. The ambiance is themed around music, culture, and tattoos with concert style posters on the wall. It's also in a great historic hotel if you need a nice spot to enjoy your burrito immediately. I plan to return this weekend to try the rest of the menu. Brunch at this place was a good idea, plus you can eat inside the Pasadena Hotel which boasts a nice interior like a blast from the past. The outdoor garden is also a nice spot to hang out. The Tortilla is soft just how I like it and the potatoes are crispy which I think stood up the most. The egg was overpowering because it took up the largest ingredient and little of the others. We got Chili Verde with Braised Pork and Mushroom Chorizo. Service is swift and the staff is nice. Parking around the area is not that bad in the morning. read more

They are located on first floor of building easy to find with entrance through side or in front on main street. They have 4 different breakfast burritos you can order with scrambled eggs or over easy with runny yoke which is already a cool different option than most breakfast burritos. I ordered their bac-con burrito for 15$ and I thought it was a little steep at first . The order was ready in about 10 minutes. Once I took The first bite i understood it was well worth it ! Today, a miracle occurred. I visited Bbad for the first time and, shortly after biting into the Bae-con-a burrito recommended by the staff on-site-I died and went to heaven. In heaven, the Lord Almighty herself appeared to me and asked me, "Why are you here so soon, child? I wasn't expecting you for some time." I looked at her adoringly, partially because she acknowledged I had yet a life to live and because, well... I was at the pearly gates, and then replied, "Lord, I bit into the best breakfast burrito I've ever tasted and my body knew that it would never find a better breakfast burrito in all the land, so it was ready to depart. And now... well... I'm here." I returned from this out-of-body experience and, fortunately, still had more bites left of my tasty Bae-con burrito to enjoy. I suppose what made this experience so other-worldly, after some prayer and contemplation, was that finally, finally... a damn breakfast burrito place offered burritos with over easy eggs. It wasn't just that, though. It wasn't dry and nasty as "insert pretty much every LA place". It was fresh, filled with golden caramelized onions, fine potatoes cut with the sharpest blade that would make Samwise repeat on loop "Po-ta-toes" with dead meme yearnings the internet craves each week, everything was homemade (even the sauces!), and it was worth every penny. The pork was definitely flavorful and not dry at all, eggs fluffy and the extra crispy and buttery potatoes top tier. Definitely far superior than a nearly $20 breakfast burrito west on Colorado. Only thing is I asked for cheese and sour cream and they forgot the cheese. Then again, those were free so I can't really complain too much. They need to have the door open with a clear line leading outside and someone telling customers where to go. There was one girl who acted like she kind of knew what she was doing. Other than that the workers are almost no help. They let people just scramble around inside asking who's in line and who's waiting. It's extremely small inside. Parking is difficult as it's in an extremely busy part of town. The burrito itself pretty good but not really worth the $19 or 20 after tax.
