    HiHo Double but triple

This place share a space with Matu cheesesteak. We got two burgers and the flavor and freshness is really good but I did not like the fact that my burger was soggy on the bottom. My burger fell apart after the first bite. Really messy but flavor and texture is good. Now those fries, do not share, get your own. Really good crispy and yummy! Seating is limit so if you come with someone, one can wait for food and the other can look for a spot to sit.

    Hiho burger.

Classsic burger taste profile, executed perfectly. A little disappointed by the lemonade. I know beef tallow fried fries are trendy, but I gotta admit these were really good. The only downside is the loud and cramped dining area. Next time I'll get it to go.

First the bad: I had to deduct a star because the ranch dipping sauce they charge you $2.05 for ($1.75 plus 6% fee and sales tax) is TINNNNNNYYYY.. see photo.. I get you need to charge for sauce but that's over kill. Now the good: My husband said their burger was really good. He'd come back for that. The customer service was really good too even tho they were busy they kept cool under pressure.

I have been wanting to try this since they opened in Pas Got the HiHo burger, the flavor of the meat was good and the bun was soft. But the bottom bun got so soggy, I took it off to eat the other half of my burger. The chicken tenders are pretty good, they come with honey on it and have a different batter on them. But they were a good size and were yummy! Fries were solid The service was fast, you just go up to order. But we went on a weekday so I'm sure it's busier on the weekend. I was pretty disappointed in how soggy the burger was, I was really looking forward to trying this place. But the chicken tenders and fries were pretty good. I am not sure if I would go back

Sharing the same space as Cheesesteak by Matu, HiHo usually doesn't have much of a line, so you can simply walk up and place your order. I thought the burgers were just okay, on the smaller side, and the lettuce in it was a bit soggy, which is a big no-no for me. My husband, on the other hand, isn't picky about burgers and happily finished them without complaint. What really earns this place five stars for me are the Willie Mae chicken tenders and the chicken sandwich. Holy moly! I've had Willie Mae's in New Orleans before, and this version is just as good if not better. The chicken is hot, crispy, and incredibly flavorful. Honestly, it was worth the three pimples that popped up on my chin the next day. I'm not sure how they brought it to LA or if they're using the same recipe, but whatever they're doing, don't skip the Willie Mae chicken tenders here!

A friend and I tried to come to cheesesteaks by Matu and it's only open during lunch time So we tried HiHo burger. It shares the same space, almost like a mini food court but with just two options The cashier we spoke was nice and helpful. Standard smash burger. Reminds me very much of For the Win. Quality tasted. I like that the fries are fried in beef tallow.

We happened upon this place tonight after our movie when we realized that we might get hangry on the way home. Glad we tried it out! Staff were amazing--greeted us warmly, explained the menu, that the burgers are 100% grass fed Wagyu beef and that the Hiho smash burger is the most popular order. Food was hot and ready within 10 minutes. Customer service (5/5). Ambience is just warehouse vibes dimly lit in greys and blacks but at least it was clean (including the bathroom), plenty of seating, EDM music too loud to really talk. (4/5) Hiho burger, Single tender hot chicken sandwich, hand cut fries, and house made pickles were all super flavorful. Kudos to the owners who decided to specialize in a couple really excellent items rather than having a 6-page menu. Pickles and chicken were a bit sweet for me but definitely crispy. Burger was savory and delicious. Fries were slightly sweet as well (maybe the oil they use), perfectly hot and crispy. All in all a very satisfying meal on a cold rainy evening. Come check it out!

Enjoyed one of the best smash burgers & fries that I've ever had at HiHo Cheeseburger today on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena! I don't know if it was the special skills of the young man in the kitchen today, or if the burgers are always this good but the food was on point & I'm a Fan! I see why there's always a line! The buns are special too- toasted & smashed. My husband loved the chocolate shake. We even got the Banana Cream Pie to bring home- Delicious!

This is a great burger. Juicy. A bit salty - but I guess people like that sort of thing. Fries were natural cut and pretty good. $9.45 for the classic and it came with two patties and two slices of thick American cheese. I'd get this again. I was debating getting the chicken and I saw the guy next table eating a Willie Mae fried chicken sandwich. Looked a bit greasy and crispy on the outside with a tender chunk of chicken inside, he left half on his plate but he said it was really good - pioneer chicken style. He said it wasn't greasy, so I guess I'll have to try it next time to find out

Came to HiHo burger for the first time and it was sooo good! I didn't know what to get so I opted for their HiHo burger and it did not disappoint. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The burgers come double double unless you order the kids for a single burger. Staff was welcoming and the establishment was clean. The place does share seating with Matū Cheesesteaks but they were closed to there was a lot of seating. HiHo burger + pastrami: 7.8/10 ; the flavor was very good and enjoyable. I couldn't really taste the actual pastrami thought besides the texture of it. Overall it was good. Fries: 10/10 ; when I want fries this is what I want! Hiho burger: 8.6/10 ; the flavor was very good and packed well. I'm not sure if there was water remaining from the lettuce or some oil from the burger but there was a lot dripping. Overall, I would get again though! This place was amazing and I'd definitely be back!

Can't believe Pasadena finally has its own HiHo. There's a lot of hype around this place and it's been busy every time I've gone, which is already three visits in. I can see why people either love it or hate it. Yes, the burgers are on the smaller side and yeah, it's a bit pricey for what it is, but I've been really enjoying it lately. They specialize in Wagyu beef smash burgers, and so far I've tried the HiHo burger, which reminds me of a classic double cheeseburger with mustard, and the Big Matty, which gives Big Mac vibes. I've also had the chicken tenders sandwich, and it honestly reminds me of Korean fried chicken. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The space itself is pretty small with limited seating. You order at the window and then find a seat, which gives it that casual walk up burger stand vibe. What I'm really in love with are their beef tallow fries. I actually enjoy that slightly soggy crispiness and they're super addicting. Overall, this spot definitely hits the spot. Just be prepared for a wait because it's pretty popping right now.

I finally made it to HiHo cheeseburger in Pasadena to see if the hype is real. HiHo cheeseburger has been called the best burger in California. They're known for the Wagyu beef and simple, quality ingredients. I wanted to love this place but the burger was underwhelming. The Wagyu patty itself was the only part that lived up to the hype; it's juicy, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, and cooked to a perfect medium. It was all downhill after that though; the bun was not toasted, the shredded lettuce was wet which made the bottom bum soggy. The pickles were thick and mushy with no crunch, so instead of a balanced, satisfying bite you get a soft mush of ingredients. The thick cut fries were much better than expected. They're nicely fried and well seasoned. They were the best part of the meal, and I hate thick cut fries. I paid around $25 for a Mexican Coke, a HiHo Double, and the fries, and for that price it didn't feel worth it. It wasn't even as good as a picanha burger and fries you can get for $10 at Fogo de Chao down the street. Service was friendly, the food came out fast, and the place is run well. They have a limited but well balanced menu. They've got house made desserts like banana cream and key lime pies and from scratch milkshakes, which looked tempting and might be worth coming back for. They have a chicken sandwich too, if that's your thing. Overall, I'm glad I tried it but the burger didn't live up to the hype for me. Worth a shot if you're curious. Give the fries, shakes, or pies a try but don't go in expecting the best burger in California.

Was having lunch next door and noticed a short line so picked up a few burgers to take home to try. Ended up waiting ~20 mins for the food. Tried both the Hiho double and the Matty burgers along with a side of fries. Both burgers were good and actually prefer the Hiho over the Matty as I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. Fries were decent but prefer them fried a bit more so that they'll be crispier. Will be back but will likely dine there as the buns were a tad soggy on the 15 min walk home.

Although there's no dress code, most folks dressed in business casual or nicer. The food was delicious. Because it was shared family style, they split it across two plates, which kept the presentation nice and clean. The corn agnolotti is a must - the brown butter sauce, roasted corn, shallot, and ricotta cheese combination was perfection. The shrimp penne was also excellently executed. I also ordered the sea bass. The fish was good, but the sauce and vegetables lacked flavor depth. The drinks were also great. I got the berry mojito mocktail - it was one of the best mocktails I had. The service was above and beyond in all aspects. Think of the most ideal type of service at a restaurant - that's what I received. Overall, I had an incredible meal and dining experience at The Arbour. I'd come back for a special occasion and I recommend others to visit.

However, I came tonight with my sister, and it started off wrong. The valet guy was very unprofessional and disrespectful towards my sister. He let a person in front of her valet park, and then when she came after that person/car, he had told her that the valet was full. However, it was two people/cars behind her that he told them they can park and he will be right with them. He had said that it's because they are related to the owners, but I felt that was quite unreasonable to say mainly when you have people dining out to have a good experience, and spend their money. This put a bad taste in my mouth, but we still decided to stay because we love the food and we haven't been for a while. Luckily, out of all the employees the hostess was the best. Very nice and sat us down rapidly. Unfortunately, for our server, Carolyn I'll give a 2 1/2 star for her. I felt that she kept moving fast and wasn't really passionate about her job. We wanted light sauce and no cheese on one of our entrees and she basically said that it's best to order something else since the chef couldn't do it. She took the plate back, and my sister decide to get devil eggs. They were delicious though, I Just felt she wasn't accommodating at all. Even when we ordered the lava cake and on the menu it didn't mention that it had caramel on it, we don't eat caramel at all and it did not mention on menu, and she simply said all the ingredients are not on the menu all the time. So what made this annoying is that we asked her about and what was on the lava cake and she said it was just a plain lava cake. Hmmm just felt that she was very dry and nonchalant and did not care. Made me feel uncomfortable to tell her about the food. Shouldn't feel that way as a patron. I ordered the lemon herb chicken w/ sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. It was great and tasted delicious!! Happy of my choice! For my drink I had Prosecco and a lemon drop, that was very tasty. Will try that again the bartender was on point. The ambiance was perfect they have a nice seating outside with tv, and nice indoor seating. The bar has a tv and a good hang out spot. They have brunch on the weekends that looks delicious so I would want to try again, but after today I'm not sure because of the service from valet and our server. I really love Foothill!! Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

LATE REVIEW…read more Finding little neighborhood gems when it comes to food has always been an exciting experience for me. Having family alongside makes the journey more special. We chose Holy Saints to announce our baby's gender with our parents and we had an amazing time during our intimate dinner here. The restaurant's ambiance was the perfect combination of homey and inviting. It is a smaller place and the number of tables are limited so I highly suggest making a reservation when dining here. During our dinner, it was a bit difficult to have a full blown conversation as the place was packed with guests when we came plus the loud background music that was playing the whole night. Service and food were nothing but amazing! Their menu is very limited. Maybe not everyone will appreciate that, but I think it is more intentional on what is being served to the table. Our highlight of the night was the Grandpa's Pan Roasted Duck Magret Au Poivre for sure. It was so tender on the inside and crispy on the outer edges! We never had a meal like that elsewhere and we will for sure be back just because of it.

Dishes tried: - Sourdough bread and bbq butter, solid for a bread dish, butter is definitely unique, reminded me of Lay's BBQ chips in a good way - Grandma's Risotto w/ prosciutto, okay for me? Prosciutto was a supplement here and needs it imo for that oomph, otherwise a fine risotto dish but would pass unless it speaks to you - Barnyard Bolognese - a bit underwhelming to start, just too one-note for me, but it eventually grew on me and would get it again if I wanted a rich pasta - Duck Magret Au Poivre - easily my favorite dish here and what I would come back for and recommend for people, tender duck with the right amount of fat and a great sauce. Fries are a bit thicker than I would like, but still enjoyed it. - Seasonal apple pie - more of a danish if I had to describe it to someone, but nice texture and more importantly, not too sweet!
