Just for context, I usually don't enjoy breakfast burritos. They are heavy and literally make me lazy for several hours after I eat one. Most breakfast burritos are filled with 70% potato, 20% egg and the last 10% protein and cheese. Enter BBAD and their take on a breakfast burrito. You truly need to appreciate good food to enjoy this burrito. I ordered the chile verde pork belly and I had no regrets at all. First and foremost, you need to see the process of how they make their potato's. These are Michelin restaurant potato's. I wish I ordered a whole side of it just to snack on. But here's the best part. The burrito has a fantastic portion of egg/protein/starch and The sauce finishes off this sexy piece of tortilla wrapped breakfast that did not stand a chance in my firm grip. I was stoked to go try this spot because it's close to my place and I looovvveee a good breakfast burrito. I was hoping it would actually be flavorful (unlike the Lucky Boy burritos, unsure why people love those so much other than the sheer size). I went with the Chili Verde Pork option because it seemed unique. It was good, and the potatoes were BOMB, but I expected more flavor for chili verde. And there wasn't much pork in there for $16, it was mostly egg. Maybe a green salsa could be given with it? Or maybe I should have purchased the chipotle aioli? Will try next time! Got the mushroom chorizo burrito. A few bites in, and I was already tired of eating it. I appreciate the time and care in making those potatoes, instead of using run of the mill tots like everyone else. But inside a burrito, those potatoes made the whole thing a grease bomb. They doused the burrito with the chipotle mayo ("aoli"). I couldn't taste anything else, especially not the mushrooms, and I tried so hard to taste those mushrooms. Why not just let me add the mayo if I want to, instead of drowning everything in it. I didn't notice on the menu, and found out days later that I had an option for how I wanted the eggs cooked. The woman who took my order did not ask. My coffee took forever, I think the order was never put in. Put in means immediately to the right of the woman who took my order. The mayo burrito was getting colder by the minute while I waited for my coffee. But the burrito is huge, so there's that for the high price. read more

Ordered online for convenience, pick up was quick, and service was nice. First bite was AMAZING - I ordered the Chile Verde with Braised Pork. Second bite onward - the pieces of meat were so salty. I thought that the salt would die down as I ate the meat - sometimes when I cook, there could be patches of salt concentration - but it didn't die down throughout the burrito. The meat was all salty - to the point where it hurt to continue to eat. I tried calling but could not find their phone number online. I don't have time to go back to ask for a refund. Delicious food, prepared swiftly, with kind service. Enjoyed the lovely patio. We tried BBAD after reading several positive reviews and being local to the area, we were excited to try it out. So glad that we did. Everything went smoothly, from ordering the burritos, waiting for the food, and taking that first bite. Wow!! What a treat! We tried the BEC and the Basic Bae-con burritos. From the first taste, I knew it was going to be special. The flavors all blended so well together with the special chipotle and habanero sauces. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were divine + crunchy. The portions were generous; I was surprised that we both only finished about half onsite and took the rest home. We could have pushed through and eaten it all; however, it was nice to savor things a bit and we enjoyed the rest later. (Note: the burritos still tasted amazing and kept their shape and flavor hours later for a snack) We enjoyed the outdoor courtyard for eating which really pulled the whole morning together. A very nice location. Saw the sign as I was driving by and had to try it. I am very much a breakfast burrito guy. I ordered the BEC burrito. This burrito has the overeasy or scrambled egg option... which I love the option and think it is fun.. so decided to do overeasy for the first time. But what I didn't realize is that the BET by default has no potatoes. And so I think the overeasy without potatoes definitely compromises the structure of the burrito. It was still good... just not great. Also I think I would definitely go extra crispy on the tortilla. I love the idea of this business and look forward to trying the other burritos.. I will be back. I went here on Saturday to try this place out for the first time with a couple of friends. Saw videos on tiktok about the burritos and how they make their potatoes and was excited to try. The menu is very limited but I went with the chili verde pork burrito. The food was served shortly after I ordered and I ate the burrito in their small lobby. The burrito itself was very good i must say. The pork with the sauce was delicious. I'd gotta say overall my biggest grievance with this place is the price. I understand prices going up with inflation but $17 for a single breakfast burrito is absolutely absurd. I did overall enjoy the environment and the food. It's nice walking through the Pasadena hotel where the restaurant is located within. They have a seating area in their courtyard for people to eat as well. But yeah with all that. What is the hype about this place? After reading Jenn Harris' article, I ran to this restaurant. I ordered the Chile Verde and I was very disappointed, my expectations were too high. We tried BBAD today and WOW! So good. The burritos were super hearty and delicious. We loved the crispy potatoes pave. They really set the bfast burritos apart from others we've had. I got a veganized version of their regular breakfast burrito last week. There was no actual replacement for the egg they put on their regular burritos, just a "sub avocado" option that really meant they added a soupy guacamole to the burrito. Instead they really needed to increase the amount of potatoes they gave to offset the missing bulk from the egg because those were delicious. Their mushroom chorizo was really tasty but it was drowned out by soooo much sauce. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because of how amazing this breakfast burrito could have been if it was made properly, but I won't be going back to spend $17 for one burrito to see if they took my advice. read more

Definitely the best breakfast burrito I've had in Los Angeles. Not to mention, the staff is very attentive, polite, and the music themed artwork scattered throughout was very creative. Best breakfast burrito in SoCal! Every component of the burrito was perfect: the bacon was the right amount of crispy, the hash browns provided a great crunch, and lots of sauce and egg. The aioli and hot sauce were also very good and added a good flavor the burrito. I also liked the fact that the eggs could be scrambled or over easy, not many other places provide that option! We also got the verde burrito with slow cooked pork, very unique and balanced flavors. Food was made pretty fast and everything tasted fresh. The Chile Verde Pork bb is a really great non traditional breakfast burrito. The flavor combinations of chile and pork with their pave potatoes make for a solid taste. This is definitely a fancy burrito. I got the pork chile verde burrito and the ingredients were definitely high quality but lacked flavor/juiciness unless you add the chile verde sauce.
