The vibes of this place is definitely one worth checking out. This looks to be a new place that just opened so I knew I had to check it out. Upon entering in, the setup is clean, the service is quick, and it's all fresh looking. The menu itself reminds me of a competitor in the area but the difference is, this place has a bit more variety in terms of the noodle soup area. They offer popular noodle soup dishes which is far different from their local competitor because these are essentially Korean street food joints but BBMyun has more food selections than their competitor because with BBMyun, they offer not just ramen, but kalguksoo which is a seafood noodle soup with rice noodles, udon which is a japanese version complete their a thicker rice noodle (though they look to be the same as the kalguksoo, just different style of broth), and finally somen. Another style of noodles is the jjolmyun and bibimmyun which are sweet/spicy mixed noodle so this place has your noodle soup crave covered. But that's just half the menu! On the other side is all your favorite Korean street food fixin's like Tonkatsu, kimbbap varieties, DIY Ttukboekki (spicy rice cake), and a slew of chef specials. I opted to grab the Tonkatsu and their kalbi-cheese kimbap. The Tonkatsu dish is like anything else which is a slab of tempura fried pork cutlet slathered with a sweet sauce-like gravy which is typical of how Korea serves it. Comes with a large heap of white rice, a ginger dressed salad, and a scoop of mashed potatoes. My only complaint is that the pork was not cut and using a butter knife to cut meat isn't the best form. The kimbap was tasty! Probably shouldn't have gotten it with cheese as it was American cheese and didn't add anything other than what American cheese offers. But it was filling and that was the important thing for me when I visited. Definitely worth checking this place out for a quick bite as there's finally another Korean street food place that offers a bit more in terms of variety of food choices which I can appreciate! read more

They check your temperature as you enter, which I appreciate. I feel safer knowing everyone had their temperature checked before entering the restaurant. I ordered Tuna kimbap & spicy cheese kimbap as a takeout. Usually kimbaps come with danmooji(pickled radish) on the side, but they did not. Didn't really need it so I didn't really mind. But with two rows of kimbap, I expected two of the miso soups but only received one, so that sucked. Tuna kimbap was good, and omg I did not expect spicy cheese kimbap to be THAT spicy. & I enjoy spicy food. So beaware, it's pretty spicy and it will burn your mouth afterwards. First off, this place is totally Instagram worthy if thats your cup of tea! Everything from the decor to the plating of the food was well thought of. They take your temperature at the door. Everything is extremely clean and spaced out. Came here because i knew the owner was the same from the old Dan Moo Jii, so I had high expectations walking in. We ordered bb kimbop, tuna kimbop, bibi myun, and spicy seafood ramen. The noodles were awesome, and everything was generously portioned. However, the one thing that disappointed me was the nostalgia in me did remember the old Dan Moo Jii kimbop was THE BOMB DOT COM, it always comes with a small flavorful soup. The bb kimbop tasted stale and old, and the tuna kimbop was dry. The soup that came with it was also flavorless. (and that is me comparing to the new dan moo jii now.) read more

BBMyun serves Korean, noodle-based dishes such as * somen * ramen * kalguksu * udon * bibimmyun * jjol myun And more. They have other stuff as well like rice dishes, ddukbokki, kimbaps, and bulgogi's. It's Korean bunshik (snack) style. I think they're associated with Dan Moo Ji, which is another bunshik style place focusing less on noodles. The Korean noodles here are different from other style of Asian noodles that are popular these days. The broth is light and probably anchovy based. It's not the type of broth that's deep, rich, and full of collagen & fat. It's not like your pho or tonkotsu broth. I had a hard time figuring out how they made their broth. It taste like a typical seafood, dashi broth with maybe some mushrooms and/or kelp. Maybe it's a package? I don't know. To me, it's a little too light. I don't get deep umami flavors I'm looking for in a seafood broth. I tried their somen and kalguksu. The noodles came with kimchi, julienne egg, and seaweed. The kalguksu noodle looks like it came straight from a package. Their noodles are a bit too perfect. It doesn't seem like it's traditionally knife cut. The flavor was also a bit flat. I think they can up the quality if they use homemade noodles. It isn't that hard to make homemade kalguksu. Then again, this is more of a "cheap" bunshik style Korean restaurant, not a "proper" Korean restaurant that wants to elevate their foods or keep it super traditional. But if they did use homemade noodles, I apologize. They must cut the noodles very precisely, maybe they have a machine in the back. Their somen is definitely store bought, but that's more common. I don't fault them for that. The somen and kalguksu comes in the exact same broth. They're basically the same noodle soup except with different style noodles. I also tried their beef bulgogi. It's marinated beef with bokchoy and nappa cabbage. It's fine. It's like any other bulgogi. I think it's a bit too sweet. They must have used a lot of sugar in the marinade. But I still recommend it if you need some protein. Their kimbap is standard fare. There are like a million kimbap places in Duluth, and they all taste the same. I don't think BB Myun does anything special. Thanks to Netflix's Squid Game, Dalgona is getting popular. Their iced Dalgona milk is the bomb. It is probably one of my favorite drinks I've tried in years. I used to eat Dalgona back in the 80's in Seoul. And this brought back memories. I remember the adults hated us eating Dalgona. They just told us it was very bad for us. I think that's true. It's basically pure sugar. But man the toasty flavor is so good. The drink had chunks of Dalgona in it to give the texture. Their staff is nice. They package up to-go order very securely. Their online ordering system is convenient. Overall, their food is ok. I feel like it's missing some oomph in their foods. I grew up eating some of these noodles, and it didn't give me the nostalgic, comforting feeling in the noodle soups. Maybe if you didn't grow up eating these foods, you'll like it. But since I'm Korean and grew up eating these noodles at home, I have to be a snob. I give 3 stars for the food and 4 stars for the Dalgona Milk. read more

This cold noodle is a different genre than the soupy one with clear noodle (if you know you know what i am talking about) i asked for separate sauce that that was the best move of the day, sauce is really reach so I didn't use even half of it. The beef kalguksu is better, i like the noodle texture, but the rib barely has any meat on it. So basically with the 2 noodles, if you want any kind of protein you wil need to order separately. Kimbap was ordinary, nothing to complain or complement. The best dish of that meal was the fried whole squid. The portion is huge though, for 2 people you should share 1 noodle and 1 kind of protein dish. I like the interior, very modern and clean. You can get some privacy in the booths too. My server was nice, I just wish he explain a little bit when he brought things put because I was confused with the soup. My boyfriend and I recently started coming not too long ago, and the service was amazing. Great pricing for food and the food was delicious. We came this morning with a friend of ours, and everyone got their food before me and the waitress keeps apologizing and said the food was going to be ready asap. BB Myun offers a large variety of Korean snacks/food. I enjoyed the bulgogi fried rice, but the beef udon was underwhelming. They also had an option of rice cakes which you can cook yourself almost KBBQ style. Will definitely go back to try the other varieties they have. read more

One of my favorite restaurants. I've come back over 3 times because I can't get enough of their omurice. Most of the other menu items are average but the omurice is what I have gotten every time i've come. I've tried the jjolmyun, tteokbokki, udon, and tonkatsu which were all just okay. Not bad but also not amazing. The omurice though is my recommendation for everyone. Pricing and portion sizes here are also great and I would recommend sharing one item with someone if you're not too hungry since it's difficult to finish one on your own. read more

WOW! Absolutely love the ambience and atmosphere of BBMyun! Feels very classy and service is top-notch! The presentation of the food is amazing as well. Everything looks amazing and is as good as it's shown. I tried their Tuna Kimchi Kimbap, maybe I should've opted out of the kimchi but the tuna still tasted good. I finally got a chance to check this new place out with my bestie. I went for the tonkatsu omurice and bestie went for the spicy beef bone noodle. Flavour wise it was good for my omurice but there was a lot of left over oils that sunk to the bottom so it tasted pretty oily towards the end. My friends noodle dish she finished it all up but she said because it was so spicy the broth just tasted like spicy flakes instead of a beef bone broth. She said she would get the regular one next time to see if she can taste the beef broth a little better. Overall, we did enjoy our meal and would definitely come back. Service was not too bad and staff wasn't rude either. It was quite busy so it was alright they were not as attentive but they still got us everything we needed. Food quality has gone down....the Seafood ramen for example now I see half an octopus only whereas before I get a good amount of seafood, whole octopus and a bunch of octopus legs but that is no longer and I'm very disappointed. Service seems to have gone down cause now I only see 1 waitress which is a bit crazy and I know she going her best but 1 cannot do it all. Please bring back the hood food and good service!! read more
