First time at Rack Shack BBQ, and I was wowed!…read more The place gives me dive bar but homie feel. Differently family centered you can see it on the walls. The guy taking my order I don't know if he was the owner, but he was quiet. The true test for ribs, in my opinion, is getting them with the sauce on the side, and these ribs passed with flying colors. Rubbed to perfection, tender, flavorful, and smoky in all the right ways. Then I tried the Savannah Heat homemade sauce... the perfect cherry on top. I noticed they've won several competitions, and I can absolutely see why. Everything tasted award-worthy. I'll definitely be back!

Wings - my kids liked them, I thought they were good as well. Would order again. Tater tots - good and crispy, well seasoned. Would order again. Corn bread - flavor was really good, but it fell apart pretty fast after the first bite. 2 meat hobo meal - this is what dropped it down to 3 stars. So much potential but it missed the mark. The sausage, brisket, and mac and cheese all went well together. The coleslaw, corn, and baked potato seemed random and not complimentary to the dish/didn't tie it all together. If I got this again I would skip the corn for sure and request coleslaw be on the side. This ends up tasting like a loaded baked potato with random ingredients, which some people might like, but I wasn't a huge fan.

My dinner was especially good....the chicken fried perfectly...all dark meat the way I like it. The potato salad was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm used to a mayo based potato salad but this was even better with lots of flavor! The corn was also delicious. Everyone was very happy with their dinners. The chicken and waffle dish was also good. Ratio of breading to chicken was perfect and perfectly seasoned. The honey butter that came with it was also delicious. The New Orleans shrimp bowl was great too. The ratio of shrimp, which was perfectly cooked, to rice was good. Lots of great flavor. I think that everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. The only "ding" would be the service. We had to ask for silverware so we could eat and had to wait for straws because she forgot. I'm still going to give it 5 stars even though the service was lacking a bit. She was very nice but seemed rushed.

I ordered the Social salad. It was good but the presentation was trash. I also got a cup of the She - Crab soup. It was also just okay and certainly overpriced. Husband got the Pork Belly Burnt Ends at my suggestion. He asked if they had sauce added to them and if so, to get it on the side. Our server said they are prepared and the sauce caramelizes so no, no sauce. He asked due to being a type 1 diabetic and needed to calculate his insulin. Well, they came out covered in fresh sauce and were too dry to swallow. There were six chewed up bits of pork left on his plate when it was cleaned away. The Texas toast was the only redemption. Lastly the two others shared the half bird entree. Presentation was haphazard and the chicken was visually dry looking. They ate most of it and said the biscuit and sweet potatoes were good. The food alone wasn't bad enough to keep me away; but combining it with the service was. Our server Laura (sp?) didn't make her debut well after we've been sitting 10 minutes. We were there at 5:30 on Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. She was very nice. Her second stop was to take our orders. Food runner came and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for water as my glass was bone dry (I even ate my ice) and others' were 1/4-1/3 full. She said she couldn't bring beverages. It's water...not vodka. Weird. So Laura eventually comes back and filled our drinks and left the bill. She did overhear the birthday happenings and was nice enough to offer a free dessert. She got her cash payment and we never saw her again. Maybe it was the end of her shift? It just felt off. The table next to us had quite a few complaints and had a different server, so maybe there was just a bad vibe with the staff today? Hopefully management can figure it out. Bathrooms were nice and decor was nice throughout the restaurant.

While it's on a busy street, it's protected and has a nice mix of sun and shade. They have two for one beers all the time. It was also happy hour when we were there so we had the dry rub wings, the house red wine and a daiquiri, each for $8. The wings were a bit over spiced but they were good and you got 8 in a serving. So good. We had to get a burger for our dinner, so we split a bacon burger with kettle chips. To make a long story short, splitting a burger involves getting a bunch of stuff on the side (my fault) and they accommodated every request. The home made kettle chips were outstanding. They've got pretty much any SE Asian pantry item you could want in addition to loads of snacks, drinks, and frozen foods. The owners are insanely nice, helpful, and willing to answer any questions you have. I'd called a few times to ask about their, very rotational, grilled squid. After not calling for a few weeks they even called me yesterday to let me know they'd have it all weekend! Speaking of... It's amazing. Really nice grill flavor with a lightly sweet BBQ sauce that's not slathered on. It's stuffed with peppers and some garlic, red pepper, and some herbs that keep it moist and add a lot of flavor. It's huge and lasted me two meals. Very tender and not too chewy like a lot of places. Perfectly cooked. I'll definitely get it next time it comes around. They've got Halo Halo, pan de sal, and loads of other house made desserts to go with the lechon, whole fried fish, and other deli foods. I'll be back soon since there are too many options for only one or two trips!

They also have some fresh baked goods and foods like barbeque, atchara, hopia, and more. Make sure to look at the expiration dates on everything you buy because I did notice some expired things. They have so many different, foods, drinks, pastries, deli items, it's definitely worth exploring before or after dinner! There is free parking but the lot is not very big. You may need to park in the street (also free). Upon walking in, we were greeted by several employees! We opted to sit out on the patio, since it was a gorgeous night! After 10 minutes no one had come to the table... 15 minutes... still no one. No water, drinks or their complimentary chips. They weren't overly busy, so this didn't make sense to us. At minute 20 I got up to talk to a manger. The waitress saw me go up to the front and tried to wave me down to say "I got you." I'm sorry but 20 minutes in a restaurant that isn't packed is ridiculous. At the very least she could have brought water and said she would be with us soon, but she never acknowledged we were there. I spoke with the manager and noted that it had been 20 minutes with no one coming to our table. I told him i understood she had other tables but that we just hadn't even been acknowledged. He said "she doesn't have that many tables! Let's go!" He took our order on the spot! He brought us complimentary guacamole and horchata with our chips! That was a very nice gesture! I assured him we weren't out for freebies, we just wanted to order our food. He was very friendly and definitely took care of us! Our food came out very quickly and we were checked on multiple times. He definitely turned what was a very negative experience around! The vibes here are really great! The patio was so nice! It was well maintained and clean! The food: I got the pulpo (octopus) tacos! They had a tropical and buttery flavor to them! I opted to take the picked onion off mine but I'm sure that's tasty as well! The chips had a nice crisp and saltiness to them and the salad was one of the best complimentary ones we have tried! My boyfriend had the chicken fajitas and noted they were tasty with a solid portion. The horchata here is also pretty solid! Overall, this place is worth the try! Tip: don't get the dessert at the restaurant, grab it to go from the bodega! It's about $4-$5 cheaper!

They have a great variety of choices on their menu. I went basic and ordered a chicken burrito - it's huge! You do have a variety of chicken to choose from. My Son ordered the Octopus and said it was really good and enjoyed the smoky flavor. It comes with green beans and they were good. Hubby ordered the flank steak, ordered it medium, it did come out medium rare, he didn't complain but he left a lot on the plate because of how rare it is. We usually speak up but he was full regardless. The service was great. The drinks were fun. I will definitely be back

The only thing is I am looking for state fair worthy pickles but these were no where near that. We were told there was not much parking since it's attached to India palace but it was decent when we got there. They had parking in back and in front so at the time we went it wasn't too busy. Overall good experience, this place is great for a big party or we saw lots of couples there enjoying a quiet night out.

The food selection is outstanding and the planning stage is smooth. You couldn't ask for more consistent and reliable communication. What I loved best about using This Little Piggy was that for the first time ever overseeing employee appreciation events, I didn't have to do a single thing. The stellar employees took care of EVERYTHING. They arrived on site, surveyed the venue and went to work. Tables were wiped down, bar was set up, food service area was laid out and they were in business. Our guests arrived and drinks were served. The aroma from the food kept everyone anticipating their meal. And the food was exceptional. Truthfully, I didn't even have high expectations for the meal, but the pork and chicken made everyone happy. The sides were fantastic-the mashed potato bar was a huge hit. The staff even cleaned the tables as everyone finished! Never have I had so much time to mingle with our guests and enjoy myself at these events. I was so happy-and not exhausted! The attention to detail every step of the way impressed me beyond belief. I would confidently hire This Little Piggy for a wedding, or more high end event and would be able to sit back and relax, knowing the process was in the best hands possible. The staff is so professional, friendly and capable. I should mention-our event was held at the height of the pandemic-when staffing and supply chain shortages could have easily disrupted our celebration.
