I went here yesterday for the first time and forgot to take pictures, but this place lets you order 3 meats at a time and has a cool pan to cook things in. They don't bring panchan out to your table as they have big catering type trays in an area filled with kimchi, macaroni salad, fish cakes, really yummy cucumbers, salads and dips, beef ribs and more. Tteokbuki too. The meat here is pretty good. They are better than average cuts, but not premium prime cuts in the $40 all you can eat package, which is option B. They don't cook things for you here's you have to be aware that you'll be doing the cooking on your own. Some of the best meats we had were the short rib, the beef tongue and the brisket. I think the best thing they had there was the soybean paste soup. I finished nearly all of that myself. The dips here are okay compared to other places. Overall this place is a pretty good value. But we originally wanted to check out chubby cattle for the first time but got there too late to have a full experience, so we went here instead. I think the service is good and attentive. Came here during late lunch/HH and was able to get the HH pricing. The beef brisket and beef toro were both really good, with beautiful marbling and great flavor. One thing I loved was the self-serve side dishes and buffet-style appetizers. It gave us plenty to snack on while waiting for the meat. The servers weren't particularly friendly, but they still got the job done. We did ask for a lot of rice paper wraps because we love wrapping our brisket with them, and maybe that annoyed them a bit... but we did warn them ahead of time! Went for dinner around 5:30 pm Saturday (6/6/2026) for a party of 6. I have a high top van and parking was plenty : $3 to self park. Got seated within 5 minutes. Big spacious restaurant, clean restrooms, good ambiance, helpful staff. Self-serve salad bar : watermelon and pineapple slices were delicious, condiments for Korean buffet (sliced raw garlic + soy bean paste, chili pepper slices, etc). Also at the salad bar were white + fried rice, Japchae glass noodles (delicious, not salty), dukbokki rice cakes, and beef ribs. Choice A was around $57 for all premium choices (we got this one) which covers cold noodles also. All-Day and choice B and C were each $10 cheaper increments down to $25 (check the menu for accurate pricing), but each cold noodles would be $5 extra charge. I would get choice A again and start with wagyu beef selection as the meat were leaner and more tender than thinly sliced beef briskets (차돌배기). By 7 pm, the parking was full beyond capacity and several cars had to be moved in order to get my van out of parking. Attendant was friendly and patient. Hands down our favorite KBBQ spot! They recently started offering a new $25 special and you get everything listed in the picture, which is honestly such a good deal for the amount and variety. It also includes access to the self-serve salad bar where you can grab onions, garlic, ssamjang (Korean bean paste), and other hot foods. Such a bang for your buck. Our favorites are the brisket, honeycomb black pork, and both the small and large intestines. Pro tip: order a lot at once and order often because this place gets busy and the servers can't always come around as frequently once the rush starts. It's also great for large parties. And, she is coming all the way from out of state to see me after 15 years), and today is Buddha's Birthday. Last year Memorial Day weekend, I took a trip to Murrieta Hot Springs Spa, but this year I decided to stay in LA, hang out with friends, and visit a Buddhist temple. Yesterday, eight of us from our group got together for dinner at Cheongdam Korean BBQ. It's an AYCE (All-You-Can-Eat) BBQ place, and their pricing is structured at $56.99, $41.99, $36.99, and $24.99. We went with the $56.99 option and kept ordering the fresh sirloin and prime short ribs. They also have a self-serve salad bar where you can grab salad, tteokbokki, fried dumplings, japchae, fruit, and more. They had rice wraps (tteok-bossam), which I love--I really enjoy wrapping the meat in the rice wrap, dipping it in sesame oil, and eating it with salad. The quality of the meat was good and tasty, and I was really happy that everything at the salad bar was delicious, too. Also, all the staff members were kind, and the valet parking man in particular, was incredibly friendly, which was great. However, while the staff was friendly and brought us what we asked for, they didn't check on our table very often, and my friends frequently mentioned that this was inconvenient. Usually, Korean restaurants have call bells on the tables, but this place didn't have one. Since there was no bell and the staff rarely came by to check on us, it was quite frustrating. Still, whenever they did come by, they brought exactly what we requested and were very polite. But when they brought the check, they told us that a 20% tip had been automatically charged because we were a large group, which made my group members a bit unhappy. Since the servers didn't check on us frequently and we had to cook all the meat ourselves (since it's AYCE), some members felt the automatic 20% tip was unjustified. One person in our group even said they would never come back here. Despite that, I still enjoyed it. The meat was high quality and delicious, the staff was friendly, and when we ordered steamed eggs, everyone was able to get their own individual serving. I came on a Tuesday afternoon with friends, we are black and brown people and I feel like we didn't get good service because of that. We had to ask for water when it was just given to everyone else upon arrival. When we wanted to order they kept walking past us, and everything would take a while. The guys energy was just off and not pleasant at all. We did not appreciate being treated differently. DO NOT COME HERE. I came here because it was highly recommended online, but after my experience, I genuinely question the authenticity of those reviews. From the moment my party and I sat down, the host made us feel rushed and unwelcome. It was our first time dining here, yet she pressured us to choose our food immediately without giving us time to look over the menu, ask questions, or understand how everything worked. After we selected our meat, she told us we were not allowed to season it on the grill because it would "make smoke." That made no sense. I wasn't dumping seasoning directly onto the flames--I was seasoning my meat, which is exactly what the provided seasonings are for. Meanwhile, other tables were pouring water onto their grills, creating much more steam and smoke than anything we were doing. It felt like my party was being singled out. For context, I am Mexican, and the way we were treated made me question whether we were being treated differently than other customers. The most unacceptable part of the experience happened while we were actively eating. Without asking, the host reached across our table, grabbed our utensils, and started cutting our food herself. Even worse, she did this while wearing the same dirty gloves she had been using throughout the restaurant--touching the floor, payment machines, and countless other surfaces. Watching someone handle our food with contaminated gloves was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable from a food safety standpoint. The manager was understanding when we explained what had happened, and I appreciate that he listened. However, after such an unpleasant and unsanitary experience, I do not believe we should have been charged. They have a bar for fried dumplings, fried rice, corn with cheese, pasta, some fruits, dips for the meats and more. I came in with a party of 8 but we couldn't sit together. We were placed in back to back booths. One table wanted to order the A. Premium special and the other wanted the B. Choice special. For all you can eat Korean BBQ that can handle a crowd and has parking, Chung Dam is pretty good. We did the cheaper menu ($40 as of this visit) and while none of the meats were particularly good, just about everything was more than tasty enough. The brisket, tongue, and marinated galbi were our go-to meats over the meal, and the ribeye was also better than average for AYCE. The banchan and fruit are all buffet, quality was, well, a buffet. I visit regularly, about 1-2 times a month, but after our visit last Thursday around 11:30 AM, I honestly feel it may have been our last time. The japchae, braised beef, and fried chicken were overly sweet, and the new grill made the meat feel fried instead of grilled. The biggest disappointment was the service. I understand this is AYCE, but basic hospitality still matters. We had six people with different food preferences, and when I politely asked to add one more plate beyond the three-plate limit, the server immediately refused in an unfriendly tone. I also asked for a silverware spoon instead of a plastic one because the steamed egg was very hot, but the server brought another plastic spoon. Later, I asked for regular sea salt and was given sesame oil instead, then told I had ordered sesame oil even though everyone heard me ask for salt. We went during lunch so we didn't have to wait, but not sure how this would be like for dinner. They have their own parking lot which is rare for the area, but it is valet FYI! They have a number of menu options from $22-57. We ended up getting the prime (top tier) to get boneless short ribs and rib fingers. YUM. But even their cheapest menu has fantastic options. It's rare for me to find good large intestines at places that aren't full intestine BBQ places, but they even have it available on the lowest tier. There's also a self serve salad bar that has most sides and a few cooked options. It was great to just grab and go! A few things like rice paper and sauces weren't at the bar, but it was fine because service was quick and easy! The things I didn't like about this place was the open bar of the condiments because it just sat there for I don't know how long and wasn't fresh. The service was pretty good, the staff were attentive to us and kept the food coming quickly. I went to BBQ Chung Dam for the first time yesterday. There is a parking lot in front. We got seated right away and there was amply seating inside. I love that they have a salad bar which includes cheese corn, veggies, fried rice, macaroni salad, japchae, and much more. We got brisket, beef belly, and ribeye. Korean BBQ Chung Dam is a huge indoor dining space with outdoor patio for those who want better fresh air circulation. There are AYCE set menus differently priced based on A) Wagyū (wah ghee yu), B) Prime Grade beef, C) Choice Grade beef with options to choose all kinds of meat. We chose D) during AYCE Happy Hour 11am-4pm, weekday only excluding Holidays for $19.99/person. There are only 4 choices of freshly cut meat, 2 beef & 2 pork, but of good quality. Banchan: Wongbok/Napa cabbage Gimchi; Oi/cucumber Gimchi; Rice wrappers; Daikon Gimchi; Sweet Potato cubes braised in sweet, light soy sauce; Fish terrine braised in sweet soy sauce. The AYCE Bar is also an option with a lot of marinated meats of pork, beef, chicken, and even shrimp. Cooked foods like fried Mandu dumplings, Tempura shrimp, fried chicken, braised shortrib of beef or pork, etc. Fresh green salad, fruits to refresh the palate. Theoretical time limit of 2 hours if the restaurant is full of waiting customers, but we arrived at 3pm on a Thursday and stayed till 5:30pm. We still could savour a complimentary mini cup of ice cream since Chung Dam was still quiet before the dinner rush. The meat quality was adequate, and at $20....such a deal! The waiters here are quick and efficient. The only catch....Two order minimum which means 2 people unless you want to pay twice which defeats the purpose of a good deal. 4+ stars PS Just saw a notice by Chung Dam management that single diners have to pay a $10 supplement. read more

A pretty mid AYCE KBBQ option in Ktown in my opinion. I was enticed to come here upon seeing the ads for a $25.99 AYCE all-day special all over social media. I came around 9pm on Wednesday and upon arriving and the staff told me they will close the kitchen at 9:50pm. My party was a little hesitant at first, but we decided to quickly dine here as we were hungry. We saw this place was open until 11pm online which is why we decided to come so late. If it's clearly stated when the kitchen closes, that would've made the logistical planning a lot more seamless. The interior and seating was decent. The booth seating was comfortable. The worst part for me was the self-serve food bar. I get that it's towards the end of the day, but having stale foods out in the open for consumption is unacceptable. The fried foods like the churros and fried shrimp were all stale and hard to chew. It was not pleasant. It's as if they have been sitting out for a while. The only decent things were the japchae which was pretty tasty and the short ribs. As for the ordered meats, they were standard and good. I liked the beef belly the best. I also liked all the beef meats like the brisket and short blade. However, the thick-cut pork belly my group received was mostly fat which we didn't like. The small intestines also weren't the most appetizing. The staff were pretty friendly. As for parking, there's a free parking lot out front with ample spots which was nice. Due to this experience, I'm not sure if I would visit again, but maybe the experience is better earlier in the day. read more
