Galbi combo(Marinated Galbi, Beef Rib Finger, Fresh Galbi)

Hands down the BEST charcoal grill KBBQ place I've been in the US. The marinated galbi here truly hits the spot. The meat is tender and juicy, you can definitely tell that it's high quality. The sweet and savory marinate goes amazingly well with the smoky charcoal flavor. The service is also good. The server is very attentive, keeps checking for the side dishes and water, refilling more charcoal when the grill gets weaker over time.

Takeout review. Doc said I needed to beef up on protein... pun intended :) Beef bulgogi and wings was heavy on my mind. I like the beef bulgogi here. I chose "no spicy" but they top off the dish with some sort of spicy sauce. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good sauce, but has a spicy kick. Now the wings, JUMBO af. Lol, I love it! Honey garlic is my fave flavor. The sweet & spicy is not bad, but for you heat lovers, it's like a level 1 spicy. I will say the banchan dishes missed the mark for me. I've ordered here 3-4 times, and they rarely ever hit. The kimchi had a weird taste. The fish cakes were "stiff", and tasted old. I came to pick up once and the server was friendly and efficient. The interior looks like your old school traditional KBBQ place. Decorated for the holidays, along with your service push buttons. I do want to come back one day to try the other dishes. For now, I'm just obsessed with the bulgogi bowls & JUMBO wings. :)

Pros: solid prices for decent-quality meat. I appreciate good meat cooked over charcoal and that smoky flavor. Cons: the smoke was so intense I felt like I was being slow-cooked myself. Someone please fix the vents. I came for BBQ, not a personal smoke sauna. That said, the bang for the buck is real, and I'd come back to give it another shot (hopefully with clearer air).

My wife and I tried this restaurant on a lark. We were originally planning on eating at Hellowingz, but they were closed for renovations, and luckily this place was in the same strip mall! We ordered soju, bibimbap, and dry aged beef, and it was an order worth repeating! We will definitely be coming back here again when we get the craving for Korean barbecue! The service was also great. The staff gave helpful suggestions, and the wait was not long. The restaurant has tables in rooms with sliding doors that can be closed if so desired, but everyone we saw had theirs open. I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

My family and I love BBQ Garden! It has been our go-to spot for kbbq for years. The food quality and incredible service have always been consistent. Our meats come out quickly, and the staff is attentive and checks in with us often. There's also a bell at the table you can ring when you need service. Most of the tables are in private booths, which creates a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that's perfect for conversation and an enjoyable dining experience. We usually order the pork brisket, beef brisket, fresh galbi, pork belly, and beef tongue. The charcoal grill is a great touch and gives the meat a rich, savory flavor! We've also tried their seafood pancake, tofu soup, steamed egg, and spicy cold noodles during previous visits, and everything has been delicious. I highly recommend BBQ Garden for your next kbbq dinner!

Went for their lunch BBQ option and I personally think it's worth it. The BBQ is consistently good and flavor is on point and the meats were well-prepared. Portions are generous for lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful in introducing the menu, and the environment felt pretty traditional. Overall, it was a good experience.

Food Cheese Tteokboki (spicy) 4.5/5 Chewy rice cakes with spicy sauce. It was moderately spicy with a nice savory flavor with egg and fish cake...drizzle the sauce over rice and it is ABSOLUTELY delicious. Beef dolsot 5/5 They asked whether we wanted spicy or not and we opted for no spice but it was still soo fulfilling. They put ample amount of beef slices and it tasted fresh with a sweet soy flavor. Mix in the banchans and it is a flavor BOMB / bibimbap haha! Their side dishes are not to be missed: we were offered potatos, sesame oil brocoli, lettuce kimchi, cucumber kimchi, sweet soy fish cake, and jeon. All got refilled twice! So great!!!! For desert shikhye (rice water) was offered and it was really refreshing! The atmosphere was really chill. We went on a saturday night and thankfully they opened until midnight!! We sat in a table where we could pull sliding doors and my sister and I enjoyed our time eating without other people looking haha. The servers did check many times to make sure we had everything we needed. They played kpop but it wasn't too loud which was pleasing. The service was great and everyone was super kind. Definitely I need to come back to try other dishes since they look so yummy in the menu and business hours.

Live coal adds to the experience and flavor

I have really been on a Korean barbecue kick lately (you can't eat tacos everyday) so doing my research through Yelp, I found this place that a lot of people had been talking about, and boy, the positive reviews were correct. An older place, with not much in the way of decor, but they have the live coal grill which makes this place unique and special since the live coals does add to the flavor and experience. I've enjoyed the meats and the banchan selections with my favorite being the pork bulgogi and the beef bulgogi.... Okay and also the Galbi .... and the rib fingers... Geez, it was all pretty good. I've been there twice and the same guy has helped me both times. I never wanted for a thing. So far so good!

The food and service was good. We didn't have issues finding a parking spot and we were seated right away. The meats and sides filled us up and we still had left overs. The sides are free to refill which is a bonus. The seafood pancake was decent but I've had better at other KBBQ spots. I was expecting a clean and flavorful taste but there was a slight "ocean" taste to it. It wasn't bad and it might not be a big deal to others but growing up in the islands has made me a tad sensitive to seafood flavors. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by.

Galbi Meal Set - meat, soup, rice, lettuce and banchan
    Candy C.

Friendly and accommodating service. A family friendly place. Located in an unassuming shopping strip it is shared parking lot. Look for the door signs. We walked in and were greeted and ushered to a table. We ordered the Galbi meal which came with rice, choice of soup, 3 types of meat and banchan. All the meat was very tender and easy to eat. I like that there is a call button but we didn't need to use it because the servers checked on us regularly. The meat was cooked over a charcoal grill. I am definitely coming back.

    Anthea R.

Love coming here because of their charcoal grill style. So wear clothes you wouldn't mind smelling like smoked meat. Love getting the galbi, pork belly, seafood pancake, and kimchi fried rice. One order portions of each are great for 3 people to share and be full. They also have soju and beer options to choose from. Banchan is unlimited refills too. Great place to go with friends and family. The fried chicken texture is good but we prefer seasoning inside the meat instead of having to sprinkle outside. They finish the meal with a sweet drink that's nice to pair with all the savoury foods.

The food was great! Service is attentive. The stir fried seafood pancakes is our favorite and the stir fried octopus delicious! We been going here for a long time. This is our go to place when we want Korean food and do not want to drive to bellaire

Most places can't do a mac the way i like it, but the cheese stayed moist and creamy and the noodles were tender. the flavor was phenomenal. all of the meats were tender and fall off the bone and juicy. While you're waiting in line, they hand out samples of the brisket so you can decide whether you want lean or fatty. Fatty all day for me. The beef rib was massive and had an incredible smoky flavor, but low-key, I think the sausages ended up being my favorite meat of the day. They were juicy, flavorful, and didn't get overshadowed by everything else. We got there around 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday and waited about an hour in line. After doing my research and seeing food bloggers post online about this place, I decided to try it! We went on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm - packed! There were no tables available inside and there were people inside and outside waiting for their orders. That's something to be ready for if you come on a Saturday. Our order didn't actually take that long. Or maybe it took a little while and we didn't mind waiting. Either way, it wasn't that bad! Luckily it's located in a shopping area so there's always parking. My main gripe is that they close at 7pm. I'm sure there's a good reason for that but I've wanted to try it multiple times before but they've been closed! I ended up going with the infamous brisket and fried rice. The brisket was super tender - I was able to pull it apart with my fork. I typically shy away from brisket because usually it's tough. But this was delicious - tender and had a nice smoky flavor. Not overwhelming or too salty. The rice had a great flavor too. There were chunks of meat in that as well and the rice had a nice smoky flavor. Not too salty or greasy. It also came with some accoutrements - pickled onions, fresh pickled cucumbers, jalapeños, bbq sauce and bread. The cucumbers and onions stole the show - very fresh and refreshing. We were surprised at the pickled onions - they were soo good! Overall - worth the hype! I'll definitely be back to try ribs, chicken or pulled pork sandwich. I heard everything is good here!!

The sausage had a great bite to it. Although we felt the brisket was lacking, the fried rice, chicken and sausage made up for it. Killen's never disappoints…read more Their beef ribs were just short of amazing. Juicy, succulent, tender. For a giant piece of meat on the bone, they worked wonders. You can ask to see the piece of rib before they cut it for you and they will happily oblige (patrons behind you might not be so thrilled with that move, but they'll live). Sides were excellent as were the mashed potatoes with white gravy on the side, green beans that were just tender enough, but also a bit crunchy. Perfect. They were seasoned with pork, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip it. We also ordered their shareable onion rings, easily enough for three people that were huge, hot, and crispy. Let's get this out of the way, some of their prices are a little up there, but if you're anything like me, and don't frequent BBQ places often, it's a rare but enjoyable treat. Sometimes you have to splurge and live a little. Also, they have their regular sauce on tables, but you now have to ask the cashier for their sublime coffee BBQ sauce. Don't be shy, ask. It's worth it. Oh, pro tip: If you want beef ribs, the 'plate' is actually cheaper and a better deal than 'by the pound', so save a little money and get two sides.

I arrived around 5:35 PM, about 25 minutes before closing, and ordered 1/2 lb of brisket and 1/2 lb of ribs. The brisket was $17, and unfortunately it was extremely greasy and so overcooked that the meat had become mushy. It still had good flavor, but the texture was nothing like the brisket I've normally gotten here. Judging by what I received, it felt like I may have gotten what was left at the end of the day. The ribs were $12, and my "1/2 lb" consisted of two individual ribs. They tasted good, but they weren't nearly as tender as I've had here before. I paid about $29 just for the meat, and for that price I expected much better quality and portioning. I understand that I came close to closing time, but I still paid full price and should receive the same quality of food as any other customer. If the brisket is past its best or there isn't enough left to make a proper order, I'd rather be told that so I can order something else. I'm not writing the place off because they've been good to me many times before. But this particular order was definitely not up to their usual standard, and the pictures speak for themselves.

Visiting from out of town and decided to give this place a try. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I was not sure what I wanted to try, so Sam, the owner, gave me a sampling of everything; brisket sandwich, spare rib, potato, salad, coleslaw, beans, macaroni and cheese, jambalaya rice, and french fries. Everything tasted better than expected, especially the french fries, as few BBQ restaurants are able to get these just right. I will definitely return tomorrow to try something new. Definitely ordering the macaroni and cheese and potato salad again. Special thanks to Sam, the owner, who definitely took care of me. He knew I was from out of town, but treated me like a long time customer, which I greatly appreciate. Give this place a try... You will not be disappointed!

The chicken was so tender and sweet but savory. The brisket was good but better with the barbecue sauce. The greens just tasted like onions. I added salt that helped a little. Also wanna note I don't eat just mustard greens alone , they' re usually mixed so that may be the reason why I personally didn't care for them. The jambalaya rice was spicy but seasoned, definitely loved that. I'd have them again just switch out some things. The establishment packed my bag with everything I needed. Very neat and intentional and I appreciate that when dining out through delivery.

Authentic Texas Barbecue. Very good food, and awesomely messy. Got the pulled pork, brisket,…read moresausage, and other meats. All were well seasoned and the sauce was incredible. Sides were ok, rice was incredibly well seasoned but the Mac and cheese was a bit underwhelming. I think the only thing would be the cost; quite pricey for barbecue. Additionally the service was pretty good - friendly staff who were more than willing to help. Very busy in the restaurant - definitely seemed like a staple in the community. Every table had paper towels, and while some of the tables were a little dirty, we were able to find a clean table to eat at.

The environment is super cool, plenty of seating, a bar, private rooms, a dessert bar. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the workers spoke Spanish to each other the whole time until it was time to check out, so there wasn't much engagement. Which lead to a mix up of my order that we had to fix. What we are all here for, the FOOD: Chicken: Very juicy, tender, basic chicken, a great portion. I was grossed out by the amount of blood under the skin. (I KNOW it's an animal with blood but I've never had bbq with that amount of blood on the meat) but I'm not penalizing them for it. Def 7/10! Brisket: Super tender, melted in the mouth, great taste. 8/10 Green beans: Not greasy, tender (not mushy or undercooked). I think they may have spilled the seasoning into the batch they main because holy moly, a TON of pepper and salt. I'm heavy handed with my seasonings but that amount didn't seem intentional. I'd never thought I'd say this but the flavor would've been great with less seasoning. 5/10 Mac&cheese: Nothing special but definitely better than most bbq spots. I enjoy the texture and light flavor 7/10 Elote: Yummy but where's the beloved cilantro?! 8/10 Cornbread: Great flavor, not dry, and had jalapeno peppers in it! Super yummy 9/10. My only thing too, they had only 2 bbq sauce options, a bourbon coffee and their house bbq. To me, they were not good at all. I was extremely disappointed in that. Other bbq spots have like 8 different bbq sauces
