We…read morehave purchased many appliances from Airport Home Appliance, going back 2015 --a time when the older gentleman operated the stores on the other side of the street. During January 2026, I purchased a new LG dishwasher from Homewise Appliance (formerly Airport). About a week ago, our dishwasher motor began making a high-pitched sound and in three to four days stopped working. We called them immediately sharing our concerns that this is happening within the warranty period. I have elderly people at home for whom I care, and this is a major inconvenience for us. Erik, my sales manager had provided a very good sales experience and spoke very highly of LG. Homewise Appliance also sold me an additional service plan at an "additional cost." I was specifically told that purchasing this service would get us immediate attention from technicians who worked closely with Homewise Appliance, instead of our having to rely on a home-warranty company or find our own appliance-repair technician. I was also told that if the appliance could not be repaired, it would be replaced. I verified these assurances multiple times and paid extra because home-warranty companies do not generally show any urgency. I have now called Homewise Appliance several times, but no one seems concerned about resolving the problem. I am now being told that Homewise has no control over the repair company and I need to deal with LG myself. If that is true, why was I sold any additional service plan besides the basic warranty at all? The truth is that many independent appliance-repair companies in the Pleasanton area will respond within 24 to 48 hours. There is no reason for customers to pay Homewise Appliance for an additional service plan if the company cannot provide the prompt and reliable assistance promised during the sale. A good sales experience with a family-owned business means very little if the company disappears when the customer actually needs the service for which they paid. I expect Homewise Appliance to arrange an immediate inspection of my dishwasher and honor the terms and representations under which this additional service was sold to me. Instead, I am now faced with having to deal with LG directly, without any support from Homewise, while Erik is away on vacation.

For the first purchase we selected on Sharon's recommendation a complete KitchenAid suite consisting of double oven, dishwasher, stovetop, refrigerator and microwave. Plus a stove hood and a few other pieces. Excellent selection and very competitive pricing. For our new home we swapped out some crappy appliances pre-selected by the builder and purchased a GE refrigerator and our first Miele dishwasher, and chose a Speed Queen ensemble for laundry. Couldn't be happier with any of the selections. I want to note that our move took us east of Sacramento from the Bay Area, and we were able to select our appliances from their Livermore store with products shipped to, held, and delivered from their Rocklin location, and everything went smoothly and professionally, from start to finish. Sharon even hooked us up with a top notch installer, who after installing new appliances, took our new but swapped-out appliances to local family, installed them at their locations, and then took away their old appliances. We weren't sure…read moreif it was time to get a new dryer or to repair it, but since we repaired our dryer once by ourselves, we thought we'd searched online for the issue and try to find the parts at Home Depot for repair. They didn't carry what we need but referred us to APD Appliance Parts Distributor. When I dropped by, I was really impressed by Jim, who when I showed him a video of our dryer and the model number, he was completely familiar with our dryer model, and knew what was wrong. He found the kit we need with all the pieces we need to repair and priced very reasonably. He also told me exactly where I can find more info for how to repair, and was super patient to explain all the details until I felt comfortable. Because we were also experiencing another issue with the dryer needing several cycles to dry (even after servicing our dryer with a dryer vent cleaner company), he also explained how to clean the lint from inside the machine. We took this weekend to repair the dryer and it is now working. We are super grateful for the help from Jim and would not hesitate to recommend this store!
