If you order through Doordash, you have an option to add the free vanilla ice cream dessert. When you're at the restaurant, there's an ice cream machine in the lobby next to some sugar cones. The ribs are my usual go to at any bbq joint. Bbq Pete's pork ribs are tender, soft and pre sauced while cooking. I do like it saucy so I always add more. The loaded potato salad is so good! Creamy, crunchy bacon and flavorful enough where it's not salty. They also have a lot of sandwich options and they always hit the spot. Price wise- it is on the high side but the food is good. Sandwiches price is a little high with the portion of the sandwich and the fact that fries are extra $4.99. And for the amount of fries you receive it's not really worth it. Another WA BBQ restaurant that fails to impress. Let's start with the lack of customer service. The tattooed guy at the register apparently thinks everyone is beneath him. He barely responds to anything you say and when he does it's with the worst attitude and condescending tone. I came here for the first time and asked questions about their "secret menu" and he just stared at me as if I was the stupidest person on the planet. He then just rings me up and asked "anything else" without answering my questions. As for the food, the brisket is really what makes or breaks a BBQ restaurant. Anyone can make pulled pork or ribs. But brisket actually is difficult to get right. At this place, they thin slice the brisket here as if its deli meat. It ends up being so dry that it's almost inedible. If I can make a better brisket on my traeger in my backyard, then that's pretty sad for a restaurant that supposedly specializes in BBQ. read more

Ok being from TX I have a great taste and respect for BBQ. I came to this place in Washington and lets just say the best thing I had was the ice cream. Got a rib dinner with baked beans and potato salad all the way. Not sure what it was. Ribs came with six pieces. Ate two and a half. No flavor and had to put salt on it just to spruce it up. Baked Beans has pork and brisket pieces in it. Nothing sweet and savory about them. No brown sugar or anything. Not a good product. Super delicious food with solid portions. 4 stars is driven by the price - was $55 for two sandwiches + two drinks so definitely pricer than we'd think. I have to be honest that BBQ Pete's was not the first choice for my food adventure today. Since another restaurant in the area was not open, I checked out BBQ Pete's.. really glad I did! The two sandwiches that we tried were really good - Boss Hog and No Name we're both excellent in their own right. If you're into a spicy kick, definitely try the Boss Hog as it comes with a spicy link sausage and pulled pork. I did find the No Name Sandwich to be just a little tastier because the fried onion strings just really pulled together all the flavors...and the brisket was delicious. The corn muffin was really good and had a nice crispy crust on the outside. Fries are thick cut and flavorful...almost like steak fries. The loaded baked potato salad was unique in that they transfomed a cold potato salad topped with shredded cheese, bacon, and scallions. The only negative was the cole slaw. It was really bitter and was not good. Not sure if the cabbage was the cause of the bitterness, but will pick a different side next time. There are 5 different BBQ sauces, pickles, and condiments after you order. One final perk was that they give customers free self serve ice cream! Food prices in the area are obviously high, often with poor or substandard quality and service. Pete's is no exception on the high prices. However; the food quality here is high as well. Great BBQ, we go about once or twice a month for our Southern flavored BBQ fix. The children always love the complementary soft serve ice cream with purchase. My #1 go is always The Sandwich with No Name, potato salas, and some fries for their fry sauce and BBQ dips on the side. We don't have a lot of locations with fry dip so if that's your thing TRY SOME. I went to drive thru on the right side of the restaurant and ordered half slave ribs and half lb of brisket, side for BBQ beans and Loaded baked potatoes salad to take it home. When I ordered there, I waited in the usual parking lot and the employee carried what I ordered. The employees were very nice. The store looks casual and has picnic-style benches and tables outside. Well, I went home and tried BBQ. Compared to other BBQ places, Ribs here are thick and elastic and I was very satisfied. However, Brisket was disappointed because it was dry and sliced too thin. The taste, texture and appearance were poor. I wonder how delicious this Brisket would have been if it were a little thicker and had the sauce. I didn't have enough taste of BBQ sauce, so I added my BBQ sauce at home, but it didn't make sense what I went to the restaurant for. There's not enough free ice cream cones to make this good bbq. The brisket is drier than the Arizona desert and a choice of sides just as sparse of variety or flavor. Once we landed at SeaTac and on our way to Puyallup we were starving! We found this location on Yelp and my husband is always ready for BBQ. My husband and I shared a 3 meat plate with 2 sides and added a hit link. We were so happy we stopped! The sauces were delicious, everything was amazing! My friend got the corn bread muffins-so good she stopped at the BBQ Pete's at the Washington State Fair to get more to take home! I loved the hand washing sink and the free ice cream cone! Very good at barbecue at BBQ Pete's. It's extremely busy at lunch time, which is the only time that I've gone here and a couple of times at that. The ribs were tender and flavorful, good smoky flavor and the right level of fall-off-the-boneness. The fries were very salty for some reason so I had to scrap off a lot of excess salt. They were nice and crispy at least. The serving size is quite a bit for lunch but you'll probably end up eating everything because it's that good. read more

The prices are outrageous, and to make matters worse, the food is, in my opinion, terrible. For the amount they charge, you'd expect top-tier BBQ, but what I got was far from it. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and had zero tenderness. The sides? Mediocre at best--nothing special, certainly not worth the premium price tag. And let's not even talk about the portions... for what you pay, you'd think you'd get a decent amount, but nope--small portions and big disappointment. Service was fine, but nothing could make up for the sticker shock and underwhelming meal. If you're craving BBQ, save your money and go elsewhere. Wow! We have almost never found very good BBQ locally. My husband did some digging and found Pete's so we decided to go check it out. We were very impressed and can't wait to go back! First timer at Pete's and likely won't be the last. I will say, though, the ribs aren't as fall-off-the-bone as I'd prefer it but it's still tasty. It's also a lot more smokier than I prefer, but again, it's still good and this is only to my preference. I also got the classic slaw, fries, corn bread muffin, and loaded potato salad that I shared with a friend. All of the sides were good, but I likely wouldn't order the fries again -- it's a little on the oily side. Overall, good place if you're craving bbq.
