This is the worst job we've ever had. Not only is there grease still inside, there are areas that still have black on them because he didn't scrub it off, there is grease all over the wall next to the bbq, which if it doesn't come off we will be going after him for the cost of repainting, left parts off the bbq which didn't get cleaned like the rotisserie engine, he poured out grease and solvent into our bushes with steel wool that our dog ate and has thrown up all afternoon. Brought his own dog into our yard without us approving. This guy is a joke. And watch, he will blame the bbq for being dirty and "the worst he has seen" like he does with all bad reviews. BBQ REPAIR PROS is a class act. They did an incredible job of restoring my old DCS Built-in BBQ Grill.   My grill was not turning on, and everytime it would, it would make a very weird sound. When I called and explained the problem about my grill to the call operator, they explained why this may be happening and told me they will be able to come and do an inspection and estimate free of charge. The person over the phone was extremely helpful and seemed very polite / professional. After the call, my appointment was 3 days later and they came to do an estimate and within 10 minutes figured out why my barbecue wasn't working correctly, explained to me what needed to be done, the parts that needed to be ordered, how long it would take to arrive, and gave me a quote, with everything that needs to be done. Last Friday, I entered a request for service on Yelp for my old DCS outdoor counter grill. Immediately I got an email setting an appointment. BJ, the owner, came at the time set and we both looked at my grill and instantly agreed the any repairs would be pointless and I should have a new grill. He didn't pitch it but I realized that my grill was disgusting and old. So he proposed a new DCS and a Diablo Bull, which was about $ 2500 less and looked great. Today is Thursday and his guys, led by Jose, have just installed it and it fits and looks beautiful ! They cleaned out the entire outdoor counter area and cleaned up spotlessly. Then BJ came over to check their work and make sure I was satisfied. Oh yes, the grill I bought was sold to me at about a 4.5% discount to the same grill being sold online at Lowes ! BJ calls it the friends and family discount or wholesale to the public. The software they use for signed agreements, deposits and payments is as good an interface and as easy and no hassle as any I've encountered. I know they only have 5 star reviews but here's another. We reached out to this company to dismantle and move an existing bbq island bar along with DCS grill and components to a new location. They came to see the set up and gave us a quote to dismantle, move and reassemble. They seemed to take time taking it all apart, but when it came to moving to the new location, the crew didn't know how to move the bar units into the backyard and they dropped it cracking the tile on the counter along with tile all along the bottom. They broke two dolly's and had to ask to use ours. Then they had the audacity to try and charge us another $800 to repair what they broke, which we refused. His workers also borrowed some of our tools. Which wouldn't have been a problem if they had done a good job. My husband who is a retired contractor is having to clean and fix up what they left. We have brand new pavers that he didn't protect while working and we're stained with cleaning solution. We had agreed to pay another $750 to clean and repair broken parts. But when the job was finished, there was blue painter tape on everything and where the grill was supposed to be cleaned, gunk was left which is very noticeable. There is much more to complain about so please beware. If the job was too big for them, they should've told us and we would've hired another company. I contacted them via Yelp and got a quick response to come by and give me a quote. The salesperson joked about my home address. I live in a back house in Corona del Mar and then he complained that my BBQ was upstairs. Evidently, they don't do much work in CDM as all back houses are upstairs. He was very negative about how his techs could clean the grill. He left the house and never followed up with a quote - not even an overpriced quote or suggestion to get a new grill. I have hired another company, which gave me a quote and had no complaints. I guess these guys don't want to work in CDM. UPDATE: I apologize. I did get a quote. It went to my SPAM box and I just saw it. The pricing is fine. It is a little higher than the company I chose to use. However, it still doesn't change that the salesperson was rude. read more

This company is one of those small contractors who have no sense of customer service or professionalism on their work. It is run by a middle aged man who took the money and never finished the work. My built-in BBQ grill repair was done but it didn't work. He came back and tried to fix it by manipulating whatever was installed instead of replacing them with new parts because it costs him money. Eventually he stopped all communication and never responded. The parts he used I looked up in the internet was cheap made in China products. Don't be fooled by his smiling face, gentle gesture, cash discount and their advertisement of "We use American products".
