I think it's important folks know…read moreabout this experience so see below: ______________________ I had such a bad experience with Mission Home which I know will look bonkers given the 5 star reviews. I was definitely persuaded by these reviews - and now will question every business that has 5 star reviews. Do your homework and don't be fooled. Project took much longer than what it should have because they were disorganized and would forget certain things (the foreman would even admit that the PM should have told me certain things!) that I would have imagined a contractor had down pat in terms of sequencing. They use some subcontractors and you are at the mercy of their schedules. They just are not organized (you will do a lot of the reminding, checking in, following up, and certain things still may not happen). They failed inspections meaning more cost (it is their job to pass these! It says this in any contract!) If it seemed as though I was questioning something, the PM got defensive and sometimes unprofessional, gaslighting me in a very aggressive manner. I saved the communication, in fact. The people I worked with directly were young and it showed in the almost-too-casual style of communication and lack of professionalism. I surrendered towards the end and just wanted the project done and everyone gone. I feel completely foolish that I went with the significantly higher estimate thinking it would offer a smooth, superior experience. The actual people who did the work worked hard though and did nice work - hence the two stars. But at the end of the day, it's actually hard to enjoy the work as I am reminded by the months of bad experiences - up to the very end. You can find more experienced contractors out there for equal quality of workmanship and for a more competitive price. I am using a different contractor now for other work at the property - it's a 180 degree difference - they have a dedicated team for my project, meaning time to completion is more accurate and on time; they have a dedicated person to procure the finishes and fixtures, not myself; they are way more organized and even provided me a timeline of what to expect and communicate with me what time they are showing up and what progress was made that day (!!); they are bringing a truly expert eye with attention to detail that ELEVATES the space and are teaching me to ask things I didn't even know I should KNOW to ask; and most importantly, I feel truly comfortable asking questions without defensiveness and aggressive steamrolling in their answers. I received none of this level of care or expertise with MHR, and I want you to know that you should expect these things!!!

This makes no sense because we just want to get a ballpark to see if it's even make sense to continue. But anyway, on the date of the site visit, the guy come without any tool for measurements and for note taking. The guy just spent like 20 mins walking around the house and said he will get back to us with a quote. But I never hear back from them since. I think the company is very picky on clients and like to see if they have enough money to pay for their service. If they think we cannot afford it, they will just cut all the communications. This is also mentioned by other 1 star reviews.

There work was top notch and I really feel like I got my dream kitchen and bathroom. Throughout the process Yosef kept saying they wouldn't leave until I was happy, and they stayed true to their word. You don't hear many, if any, businesses say something like that anymore, much less mean it. When we hit speed bumps, as all remodel projects do, the team was great at adjusting and finding solutions. It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

A few days later, Yuvi came back with two detailed quotes and patiently walked us through both options. He answered all our questions and helped us choose what would work best for our home and budget. From there, everything moved smoothly. The permitting took around three weeks, and construction was finished in about two and a half months, right on schedule and with no surprises. We also want to mention Adrian, the designer, who was such a pleasure to work with. He helped us choose all the materials and finishes while staying within our budget. His eye for design and attention to detail made the whole process so much easier and enjoyable. The combination of functionality and style he brought to the project made a huge difference. Sometimes I work with contracting firms where an attentive sales person asks about your project, and then a separate team (plus an annoying game of telephone) comes to actually work on the project. My home is an upper unit of a 2 unit, 115 year old building in the Castro. You can see from the photos below that Gregory did a beautiful professional job on my project, working with the architect/designer who had suggested the built-ins, and responding to my particular requests. Fitting new cabinetry into an old wooden building required a lot of customization during installation, and Gregory was definitely up to the task - as mentioned by other reviewers he is easy to work with, creative, flexible, with an "incredible eye." He did all the installation and finishing himself (with a helper). To be fair, it took Gregory longer than he had estimated to make and install the cabinetry, but it was definitely worth the wait and he was very responsive and obliging throughout the process. The quality and value were top notch; the cost was about 50-60% that of the estimates I received from online cabinetry firms I contacted. Definitely a 5 star experience - thank you Gregory!

The bookcases on each side of the center chest piece was his idea too and it was such a clever use of space and it looks great. He is one of the most honest and quality-focused contractors I have ever worked with. During planning, I spoke to a number of other contractors who wanted to use retrofit windows and just leave the siding in place. Alan took the time to explain the proper way that the building wrap, siding and windows had to interface to get waterproofing, and how we were better off replacing all three if we wanted to be sure we'd fix our problem. Even with this extra scope, Alan's pricing was very fair. Thank god we went with Alan. When they removed the existing siding, they found severe water damage underneath the siding and a subpar earlier repair job. When this surprise came up, Alan talked us through the damage and gave us our options. They ended up ripping up two layers of existing siding, cutting out damaged building sheathing and replacing it with new plywood, before proceeding with the job. The overrun costs were very reasonable and we never felt like Alan was taking advantage of us. The end result was great quality at a fair price, and peace of mind that our issues have been resolved and we won't have to worry about the front / roof for a long time now. I would definitely hire Alan again and would recommend him to anyone looking for this kind of work.

Alex is hands down the best handyman I've ever worked with! I reached out to them via their Instagram and texted them per the instructions on the website. They don't answer the phone. Correspondence via texts was painfully slow with 2-3 days taking to respond to one text at a time and to make a decision on whether they wanted to take a straightforward bathroom remodel job. To make things even worse, they asked if I was working with a designer as one of their requirements. So Fancy. Due to their unresponsiveness, when pressed to get back to me if they want to take a project, they said they are not interested. So much for providing unmatched customer service. A contractor's responsiveness is a direct reflection of their organizational skills and how they will manage your project. Poor communication early on is a leading indicator that milestones will be missed, crews will not show up, and the job will drag on. Stay away from these guys.

He considers everything and is a thoughtful problem solver. We had a stairway painted, a new handrail fabricated, some very large heavy pictures hung. He installed a faucet and fixed a few plumbing valve issues in the building. My brother in law decided to do a larger bathroom renovation with Nick to repair water damage. Work included complete overhaul of plumbing, floor repair work, proper routing of ventilation (very hard problem, and Nick figured it out!) mold mitigation and window replacement. The level of finish was fantastic, and as surprises came up, Nick always had a solution to present us. It took them more time than it should have taken to complete the issue and unnecessary grief for me. I had to call them several times before they would do anything. Then part of the grout in the shower is cracking after they did the job in Dec 2025. This should not me happening. I contacted them immediately about it. Its been a month and they have not attempted to try to fix it. They said someone would be here on a certain day and time but the person did not show. This is how bad their customer service is. As for the new window screen they gave me with a hole in it. Well, it still has not been replaced. I don't have much faith that it will be replaced by them. I do not recommend this company! They have very poor customer service! They delay on fixing problems that are caused my there mistakes if they actually go through with fixing the problem.
