I've been coming to Be My Nails for few years now through the recommendation of my sister. I always have a pleasant experience whenever I come here, and today's visit was no exception. I walked in wanting to get a pedicure before my therapy appointment (because you know . . . You gotta pamper yourself before you're about to cry it all out). I checked in on the iPad and was directed to sit at Kayla's station. I pulled out my laptop to get some work done, check my emails, and start working on my lesson plans for the next school year. Kayla did such a great job with my toenails, and I never had to worry once about her cutting too deep or far into my cuticles. I was able to get a lot of work because of how swift but gentle she was. But let me tell you my favorite part of the whole experience: the massage!!! Kayla massaged the heck out of my legs. Pressure was firm but not too firm, and gentle in all the right spots. She even noticed that I got ticklish when she was scrubbing the bottom of my feet, so she lessened the pressure on the scrubber to make it not so uncomfortable for me. With the new management this place has changed alot. A lot of the techs I liked to go to aren't there anymore. Last time I was there the vibe wasn't there like it used to me. It took longer than 2 hours for a new set and a simple design. Was not a fan of how they ended up turning out! I specifically asked for a certain color acrylic but tech said no. Even before covid, my gf and I loved going here. It's very clean and hospitable and the decoration is so nice! I'm so happy to see that they are operating again. We always feel so pampered here. They do really nice work and the language barrier with some of the techs doesn't matter to me because the nail art is great. Just goCheck out some designs on their insta! I went here for a gel manicure and pedicure and it was definitely not the same as my previous experiences. This is not my regular nail place, I come here when my person is not open or booked up. But I have always been happy or at least satisfied with their work. I think they may have changed owners or something. They inside was set up different and the check in desk was moved. The services also looked like they changed and it looked a little less than clean. Not only did they try to sell me on the most expensive pedicure, the middle-range one I paid for was not worth the money. And then, to top it all off, the paint job was awful on my toes and hands. I did gel on my hands and that was okay, but the edges were not done correctly and the coat was uneven. For my toes, I have always done regular polish and never had a problem. I got my pedicure at 10 AM and at 5 PM when I went to change my shoes, the polish smeared. It never dried. So overall, I just would not recommend going here if you want attention to detail. Worth the drive from Concord! I was referred by a friend who lives in SJ. Very easy to text or call them to schedule an appointment. They do a temperature check and offer hand sanitizer upon arrival and before getting the manicure. I also got the honey and milk pedicure and the lady who helped me took her time to make sure my toes were perfect and the experience was amazing! I wanted to love this place , being that I had heard decent things about it. Though it was a bit expensive. The decor and layout lead me to believe I would have a great experience. Unfortunately I was not satisfied . The owner, of which I assume was the owner, was not welcoming at all, pointing to direct and aura did not give a welcoming vibe. respectfully paid my $90 dollar tab and tipped Nina $10 dollars in cash. Overall with the pandemic and everything else going on , the last thing I want to do is not show appreciation for someones time and efforts. Nina did a decent job though the steps in which she did my gel pedicure was completely backwards. Before any treatment to toe , nails and the surrounding area she did not clean them up. Yes, she literally clipped my nails and painted them, when I asked about the process she said "That comes later" being my first time here. I just allowed for her to do what she felt was her best practice. After allowing for the gel to dry on my toes she then moved on the clipping around the nails and literally went forward and backwards on my heel twice. I purchased the deluxe and she proceeded with wrapping it up with a mask and hot rock massage which was pleasant. Followed by this, I was lead to my seat to have a gel manicure, which lasted 3 days. Yes, after 3 days the nail polish has chipped off 6 of the nails, and my cuticles look battered. The shape and cut of the actually nail is desirable though I am not satisfied over all with quality. I came here last minute at 5p on Saturday and Tracy did my nails. I needed a dip refill and had called a couple of other places but this was the only one with availability on short notice. I think this is going to be my go to salon in South Bay because the level of service and the quality of my nails was unparalleled. I feel like it was more expensive than some of the smaller salons I've been to but the work was great. Most places end up giving you really thick nails if you choose acrylic or dip and on my refill Tracy made them so much thinner and lighter. The color is 170 and it's so pretty. I sadly ended up breaking a nail the day after and may go back to get it fixed if I have the time. They're doing a great job with the covid rules and regulations and their sanitation procedures are great. Everyone's wearing a mask, they take temperatures, have dividers, and ask that everyone calls ahead or makes an appointment. Beautiful nail salon in a great location. I just got my hair cut down the street and was looking to get my nails done last minute. I called first and was told I can go in now so I drove there in 5 minutes and was seating right away. The experience was nice and relaxing and I was very comfortable with the covid safety measures they have in place. They have hand sanitizer upon walking in and acrylic dividers between guest and between the technician. I loved how my gel manicure came out and so much that I came back a few days later die a pedicure with my mom and sister! The pedicure was wonderful and well priced. I honestly only had one other pedicure before so I'm not sure how pricing goes but I thought the prices for everything was good. I'm giving four stars because my gel manicure chipped within 5 days and 2 weeks later I have 2 nails left. I came last Thursday for a new set. I wasn't sure who was in charge that day but it wasn't Tyra. I think there was a little miss communication. Since I wanted to soak off my old mani and get dip powder again. Which the person in charge knew but when I got to my station my old tips were reshaped and I got colored acrylics instead. Got a pedicure today. My nail tech person was a little aggressive with the cuticle nail. She noticed me flinch and she basically implied that she had to because of the condition of my feet. At one point she was pulling instead of cutting. My appointment was at 2:30 and currently at 7:00pm. My big toe feels raw around the edges where she cut. I also know she went too deep because when she cleaned with thr alcohol it stung. The pedicure is nice, but not being responsive to a client is not professional.. This is definitely one of the best nail salons I have been to! It was here that I was introduced to dip powder nails, and I have never went back to any other forms of manicures just because it is what works best for me. They have a pretty wide selection of colors here from glitters to plain colors. I do really wish they would have a baby blue color. All the techs here do a fairly good job, but I have extra sensitive skin so I request a specific one that does an excellent job for me. What I like about dip powder is that it lasts a very long time (3-4 weeks minimum), your nails do not break easily nor do they lift up as often. I always know its time to go get a new set when it starts pulling out my hair but with dip it will take a while for it to start doing that especially if your dip powder nails are done right. Coming here will exceed your expectations for long lasting dip powder manicures. I would say pedis here are a bit on the pricier side and they are decent. I would say this is the place for manis though. They offer a bunch of different designs that are super trendy as well. They are a popular salon so it does get busy. Love this spot. This place is a little pricier than my normal nail salon, so I treat this as my "special occasion" place. The perks: they've got a lot of technicians, they are well versed on different styles, they're extremely clean and they take credit card. The only con is they're a little pricey--to me at least. I usually end up spending about $60-$70 for a full set of acrylics. I've also had pedicures here and they do an excellent job. They do not do a lot of digging though, so if you've got ingrowns and want them to dig it out, this isn't the spot for that. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon on and off for the past 3 years. Whenever I decided to get a full set or gel pedi this place is my go to! Whenever I get my gel pedicures, they last for so long while still looking nice. I can go about a month to a month and a half before going in to change the color. Whatever nail tech I receive takes their time and makes sure i'm in love with the color and the amount of coats they apply. As for full sets, they always last me a long time as well. Luckily I have never had a nail break on me or lift too early. They always take their time to shape them to my preference. This set picture was done by cindy. She did an excellent job. She can constantly checking to make sure the length on both sides along with the shape was the same. She then did a wonderful job on the design I asked for. She took her time and made sure I was happy with my nails before I left. This will forever be my go to spot because they always give wonderful service. First time here. Took my niece with me to get our nails done and it was a great experience. My niece goes here a lot and she's been telling me about it so I finally had the chance to try it. First impression: ambience is so nice. It's a clean salon which is very important to me. We got seated right away and the decor is so cute. Love it. Experience: got acrylic overlay and a full set since I wasn't feeling my old set anymore. I decided to do an ombré nails and it took a while to get everything done. My niece got matte nails and turned out great. My nail technician was Lisa and she was so patient with me. I asked for coffin nails and even cut my cuticles. She made sure to perfect everything. I feel like she was filing for days. She kinda hurt me a bit on my thumb while filing but it's okay. It didn't bleed out or anything. Just a minor thing. No biggie. Pricing: decent. Not bad for a full set and ombré with cut cuticles for $58. My niece's nails were $38 for a fill and cuticles cut too. The salon I go to would probably charge me more than that. Final product was great. Will definitely come back here. They have a rewards program so that's also good. The owner even wanted to take a picture of our nails to post on their Instagram. I don't think I've ever had a bitchier person working on my nails. Unreal! I swear it was like she was doing me some type of favor. For a $20 polish change I would assume it's the easiest quickest money a manicurist could make and I'd be helping her make a quick buck. I could've done it myself but just wanted to not doing another errand while I'm busy with my own children, work and life itself. I went to do a smog check across the street and remembered I had a good experience at be my nails before so figured it's a good way to kill 15 mins. But geez was I wrong. The entire experience left me anxious and angry why I didn't just walk out. I came with my daughter so wanted a quick polish change. The manicurist came over and just proceeded. No conversation or anything. Which is fine with me. But within less then a minutes looked down and she was already polishing the nails. Usually I've had other manicurist at least file and shape them but nope. Quick buff and uneven. She went straight to polishing with this off brand polish... empty and chunky. I saw lint all over the nails she just kept painting over it. Then before the second coat she added nail polish thinner. I could tell she was painting sloppily. But I just left it be. Then she rushed to put the disposable sandals on and touched the toe and she just went to add more thick polish and more clear polish to cover the mistake and that when I was like like no... you can't just add more thick polish.. 2 extra coats over it. It'll never dry. As I'm literally sitting there with a toddler. Doesn't she know what will happen if it's that thick and the toddler touches it?! It's like throwing away $20. Unbelievable. She was upset I made her take it off and start over. She rushed it again and then wasn't happy I didn't tip her. I should've told her your tip is in a service business you shouldn't treat your clients like you're doing them a favor. I've never had anyone there treat me like this but never again. Perhaps the quality depends on which Nail Technician you get. On one of my cuticles, the Nail Technician cut too deep, and it bled. No apologies and didn't make a big deal out of it. Then when I pointed it out, she seemed annoyed. The quality of work isn't that great -- there are bumps on a few nails. The customer experience varies by customer/nail tech. I have naturally long nails and I've found that the thing that works best on them without damaging is dipped powder. I found Be My Nail Salon in instagram and chose it based off how beautiful the work was on natural nails. But the day after getting them done I had to find another option and have it taken off for the simple fact that the dip powder was overpowering my natural nail and that it was actually digging into my cuticle. After putting on the powder I felt like the end process of filing it down and actually letting it sit under the lamp was rushed. Outside of that the customer was amazing however I do feel like that was just icing for a tip. My old salon was getting a bit busy and rushed and I never felt like I had control over what I wanted when I would go there, so my sister and I decided to try Be My Nails. The first time I went, it was pretty painful because my nails were messed up from too much acrylic. I ended up trying out dip powder and I really liked it. Much gentler on my nails and less painful, since my hands are so sensitive. The first nail set was great. No complaints. Second nail set was pretty, but the shape and length was off. Third set was the best - I keep forgetting which nail artist it is because I think I get a different person each time. The place is really clean and nice but make sure you have ample time. Sometimes making an appointment doesn't mean much - they might take someone before you or not have enough ladies. Overall a pretty good experience and I look forward to going back. I'm originally from the Bay Area but moved to LA several years ago, so I don't have a go-to nail place whenever I'm up here visiting my parents. I randomly discovered Be My Nails on Instagram from someone I know who frequents this salon. Now that I'm up here for my wedding, I needed to find a nail salon that would do a great job with nails that will essentially be engrained in my wedding photos forever. I'm glad to say that BMN did a fantastic job and I'm super pleased with the results! We called to make a same day appointment and fortunately they were available! I ended up getting acrylics + a gel pedi. I already had acrylics on from my go-to salon in LA, but Jenny was able to re-use them and shape them into what could possibly be better than the place I've been going to for 5+ years down in LA! She filed them down, touched up the shape, and did a beautiful white/pink ombre. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she copied it perfectly! They didn't have the right shade of pink I wanted, so she actually created a custom color with a mix of different white/pink acrylic powder. I've never had a nail technician do that before, but it was awesome and turned out just like the photo! After, she gave me a pedi. I'm normally a quick get in/get out pedi type of person so I don't usually go for the nice packages. However, they had a bunch of different ones and they were reasonably priced, so I decided to go with the charcoal one! It came with a scrub, mask, and a massage w/hot stones, which was 100% worth the price! For a gel pedi, it was only $55 which was much cheaper than I had expected for such a thorough pedi. I could easily see something like this be $80+ in LA. Jenny did an amazing job with the spa package + my gel mani! I was so nervous about trying to find a good nail salon in the South Bay to do my wedding nails since I wasn't able to go to my go-to place, but I'm so relieved and happy that BMN did such an amazing job! Pretty crappy job, even after she "fixed" it, and she talked crap about me and my sister in Vietnamese not knowing we understood. Smh. And they didn't put the price of the standard pedicure on the sheet they give making you select the "Deluxe" option if you dont specifically ask for a standard pedicure. I can still see residual nail polish of my old color. And man was she rough filing and cutting my cuticles. I actually blurted out "Ow" at one point because I was so surprised at the force. This was the worst experience at a nail salon in SJ I've ever had. And it was so promising with all the good reviews, but I'm def not going back. Also, if your client asks you to fix a nail you should fix it, not try to paint over it and then not fix it. Then roll your eyes and mutter insulting Vietnamese phrases when you're asked again.
