    Peanut Butter Acai Bowl
    Andy N.

Acai bowls have become my latest obsession and Beach Bowls really knows how to assemble and deliver a tasty and healthy treat. You select one of three sizes with the regular being the perfect portion for two or one hearty meal for one. I went with the Peanut Butter acai bowl ($12) since these make for an incredible combination. Bowls include granola, bananas, and either honey or agave (the latter is my preferred vegan option), and I added on strawberries for an additional kick in fruit content. The acai blend was fantastic and the toppings made the bowl effortlessly delicious. I was able to finish it all by myself and believe me, it was hard not to have it all in one sitting. While not really a dine-in type of spot, Beach Bowls makes a great grab-and-go stop and you can enjoy it at one of the many public benches located in the area.

Best acai bowl in town! Been coming for years and it's always been such a good spot :) large size is more cost efficient if you want 2 toppings. ($13.90). We always get it to go and eat by the beach to enjoy the views!

Haven't had açaí in a while and was craving it. I got the tropical blend with strawberries and banana mini bowl. It was just under $10, and they already include granola, banana, and honey as topping. You get to choose an additional topping for the mini. I liked how they added plenty of granola so there's the crunchy goodness in every bite. Overall sweet and yummy.

SERVICE - limited parking available in front of restaurant but more spots in the back - no restroom inside - menu posted on wall - bowls made fresh to order and quickly - limited seating inside - can get loud because blender is in the same room as the seating MENU - extensive menu of smoothies and smoothie bowls in 3 different sizes - very well priced ($8-$13) FOOD - matcha bowl with pineapple and almond butter (8/10): I picked the matcha base which has banana, acai, strawberries, matcha, soy milk. The base was really creamy and kept its texture without melting into soup. The matcha and soy milk played well together. The large bowl comes with two toppings in addition to the default banana and granola so I chose pineapple and almond butter. They are very generous with the almond butter which I appreciated. I was not a huge fan of the granola, as I would have liked one with more chunks and oat flakes. WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! I want to try some of their unique bases like cherry and orange cream.

Came by while in the area. It was a hot day at 81* so what better than a smoothie. I asked for the ladies recommendation on their popular bowl they recommended the Guarana with berries. I added hemp and chia seeds. Was great, recommend their bowls and the smoothie.

This place is a quick fix of your random açaí bowl craving... meh, this place is just okay. Covid-19 Concern: This place only takes online orders and the people inside of the cafe will pretty much ignore you if you didn't order online. I wish I knew about this b/c I was pretty stupid standing outside of the cafe trying to order a tropical fruit bowl on their website on my phone. Açaí bowl and smoothie: Honestly, I have had better açaí bowl before. This place is just alright. The fruit they use were frozen and the toppings are very generic. It was $9 bucks for a small açaí bowl. We also tried their smoothie, which was A LOT OF BLENDED ICE. Since it was pretty cold that day, we just waited for the ice to melt a bit before drinking it and you can see the water/ice separating from the dense blended fruit on the bottom. So honestly, I guess it was a cup of overpriced ice after all. I saw a lot of people going in and out at this place, the parking is convenient and easy, so it is a place for a quick fix but if you really want to have a good quality bowl of açaí, I suggest to go somewhere else. There are plenty açaí bowl places in the South Bay that can do a better job than this place just in my honest and humble opinion.

BEST AÇAÍ PLACE IN SOCAL!!!! This is by far the best açaí place in Southern California. The granola is the best in the world. I love coming here and it's just minutes from the beach. You can order and take a short drive or walk to the strand to enjoy your bowl by the beach. The basic acai is great and they have so many toping choices. They have superior açaí and put granola at the top AND BOTTOM, so you don't run out of granola. They moved their chairs for Covid but usually have indoor seating as well

With so many açaí spots to choose, this is by far my favorite one. I love the fact that the topping to acai ratio is perfect, and also the base acai has good texture and the best taste. The shop is located in a small plaza, with a few parking spots outside. Otherwise you can always park on the streets. And of course workers are always a delight. Check this gem out!

Top place to get a açaí bowl in the South Bay. Let's just state the clear differences between them and other places. 1) They don't use ice as a filler. 2) They always have fresh and ripe fruit to top the bowls. 3) The açaí mixture taste amazing, plain and simple. 4) I freaking love the granola they use. It's not too hard but it doesn't get soggy with the açaí. Can you say winner?! Winner. My go to is the tropical blend and to add mango on top.

Ask the Community - Beach Bowls Acai Cafe

When will you start opening up earlier like at 7 am?

Hi! Good question. We started opening at 9am when Covid hit because a lot of people were working from home and didn’t need to get their Acai bowl early on the way to work. We’re not sure if or when we will start opening earlier. Sorry we don’t have…

Do you use soft serve machines for your bowls? Or is it out of a tub?

    Hi, We blend our bowls.

I read that you include yogurt in your smoothies by default, but that's not mentioned on your menu. Is yogurt also included in your acai bowls too?

Hi Jeff, Thank you for reaching out. We do not include yogurt in our bowls. The only dairy in our bowls is if you have protein, but you can always request vegan protein. We…

I saw you guys are closed for maintenance.... approximate date for re-opening?

Good question! We will open in Torrance on Tuesday July 7. But for Redondo Beach, we will stay closed for about a week to complete plumbing work.

Is it possible to post a picture of the current menu? Just to make it easier to order over the phone, thank you!!

Hi! Go to our website https://www.acaibowl.com. Click on the top right corner to view the menu.

Is this place open during lockdown?

Hi, Yes! We’re open during lockdown. Takeout only or delivery through DoorDash. But we open at 9am now.

Plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon. The young employees welcomed us in. There are a few kiosks to place your order but since it was our first time, we chose to order with the gal at the front counter. I got the medium sized Sucane Delight. The base is acai, dragon fruit and mango. The fruits are banana, strawberry, and mango. Toppings are strawberry vanilla granola, coconut, sunflower seeds, and sliced almonds. The drizzle is agave honey and almond butter. Holds up to its namesake. Indeed delightful! Hubby chose the Acai Sunrise. It has a acai base with banana, strawberry, blueberry, and kiwi as the fruits. Toppings are pumpkin flaxseed granola, coconut, and almond slices. Drizzle is agave honey. Another delightful bowl! He also got the Go-Go green sugar cane drink with aloe vera. I tasted it and it was so good and refreshing! The service was kind and polite. The shop has cute decor and upbeat music playing. Would definitely come back for another bowl! 4 stars.

With enough additions, I've walked out holding a $20 bowl of fruit, granola and assorted healthy things, which is objectively a little ridiculous. And yet...I keep going back, because it's genuinely fantastic. I usually order the medium bowl with two bases--some combination of açaí, coconut and cacao--then add granola, chia pudding, fresh fruit, bee pollen, coconut shreds, cacao nibs and almond butter on top. There are plenty of choices, everything tastes incredibly fresh, and the finished bowl is basically a magnificent frozen monument to convincing yourself you've made excellent life decisions. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough that I'll sometimes bring my laptop, put on a podcast, tackle the New York Times puzzles and slowly enjoy my absurdly expensive--but absolutely worthwhile--bowl.
