Wish I could give this place a zero star rating. Worst customer service I've ever encountered. My boyfriend ordered the French Dip. When it arrived it was open-faced with thick dry slices of grey beef on what looked to be a hamburger bun. When he told the waiter it was inedible the waiter quickly turned away. A manager came and said "that's our version of a French Dip and look, I took it off your bill." Never once did we hear "is their something else I can get for you?" In fact, we were then completely ignored. When I waved the waiter over he didn't want to talk with us. He walked away from us before I could say anything. I was stunned. Then the restaurant manager appeared and said "I understand there was a commotion at your table." WHAT? My boyfriend said we came for dinner for two, not one. I told her our waiter never asked if there was anything else he could get for him. She said she'd take care of our bill. She didn't apologize or even acknowledge that we'd been poorly served. I walked out stunned by this experience. At this restaurant the customer is not king nor always right. Here, the customer is reviled and wrong. This restaurant does not deserve your business. Food was poor. My eggs and hasbrowns did not taste fresh . Neither did the fruit it tasted like it was made hours earlier . We ate here over Fourth of July weekend for breakfast. It has since gone downhill since our last river trip. Service is slower and food is just ok, you can make better breakfast at home. They only serve breakfast unless you come after 11am. Our party of 6 was seated in a few minutes. I ordered a Belgium Waffle and I'll post a pic of what my husband ordered since I can't remember the name. Others had omelette and the country fried steak. All orders came out together which is nice. Also if you have a players card you get a $1 off each entree which isn't much but it adds up. My waffle was just boring wish it came with fruit on top. Twice the host sat us at a table then asked us to move when someone else wanted it. We sat at the final table for 8 minutes before someone showed up. He took our drink order then cleaned 5 tables before bringing them. When dropped off, he said he would be back. He continued cleaning tables and never returned. I stopped the manager who was aware of it and did nothing. She sent another waitress to us and I never received all my order. She said "no problem, I didn't charge you". I told her we couldn't cut the steak with a knife and the carrots were rubber. She said "Aww". Then she complained about the place and the chaos. Every employee was stressed or about to cry. It's 3:00 PM and I'm hungry, Room service doesn't start until after 5 PM, The Steakhouse and Mexican Restaurant are both closed until 5 PM I'm not feeling the buffet, And I don't want McDonalds. Where do I eat? Drum roll please...Beach Cafe it is. I was dreading this because all I thought I'd be receiving was bad service and even worse food. Yes, I've been here before. To my surprise, I receive great service and possibly one of the best tasting salmon filets ever. Their salmon was thick, flakey, not fishy, and seasoned to perfection. The one thing about salmon that you have to love is its high protein, high omegas, and low calories. Top that off with it prepared to perfection and you got a happy Mel C. The salmon was so good that regret not getting seconds. I had this with a cup of chowder which was okay and some white rice. My only suggestion to the Beach Cafe regarding their salmon is that it should be served with a different type of rice. Sticky white rice just doesn't work with salmon. Now for the service. 5 stars to service, specially for Dawn. I got some of the best service and watched her give the same to other patrons. She knows her regulars and called them by first name. But she also treats her other customers, aka me, just as good. I've had a below average burger here last year with snotty service. Today changed my attitude. TIP: The menu is your basic type list that you'll find any other hotel/casino cafes out here. Nothing really out of the ordinary here, but still a large enough of a selection to please everyone. read more

While staying at Harah's we ate here twice. On our first visit I ordered the French Dip Sandwich and French Fries ($7.99 with players card discount). It had sliced roast beef and was served on a warm roll with au jus sauce. You can add cheese, mushrooms, etc., for an additional cost. I loved this sandwich! On my second trip I tried the Sampler Platter which included the following: Potato skins, chicken tenders and a cheese quesadilla served with sour cream and ranch dressing ($13.99 with players card discount). The chicken tenders were decent, the potato skins were bland, and the quesadilla was too greasy for my tastes. The service was great both times. We had female servers on both visits who were both attentive and friendly. The décor of the restaurant was cute also. I would probably return if I stay at Harrah's in the future but will stick with the French Dip. *Tip: Use your Harrah's players card for a discount! read more

Great breakfast at lunch time. Billy my server was passionate about great service and food. He knew the menu, great recommendations, friendly and attentive. Came here this Sat. morning since we stayed at the casino, Harrahs in Laughlin. Got seated right away. Our service was a tad slow at first, but once we got our server it was full steam ahead... So it was good... I had the veggie omelet, that came with hashbrowns and toast. Very good. This is the second time i have this here, so it must be good ;). There coffee here is really tasty as well here. Not sure what the roast is, but very good. All in all, good experience, and good prices. We didn't have a great experience at Harrah's, period, but this place wasn't that bad. The service was okay. When we arrived there were two lines - one for people with platinum member cards and one for regular ol' little people like me and the woman helping seat people let us know that she had to take everyone in that line before she could get to us because "they have a card and you don't." I'm sorry I don't take Harrah's seriously enough to become a platinum member. I'm 26, not 65. Anyway, another waiter heard that and took us to a table immediately. There was nothing wrong with the food but the tables are SO close together. My GF and I were seated at a small two-person table and next to us was a table for four. Had someone sat there, their hair would've been in our drinks. I ordered the Ranchero Burrito. It was good - I can't complain. And my girlfriend ordered an omelet I belive. Also good. Our waiter was attentive and quick. He even offered to go to a different restaurants because they were out of a hot sauce we requested (we didn't let him do it - don't worry). I gave the restaurant a second chance and tried the spinach artichoke dip. It was inedible. It was cold, chunky (not creamy with chunks, just chunky cold mush). Nothing good about it. After spending the evening drinking at one of the hotel bars , I needed something to eat before heading up to the room. I decided to eat at the Beach Cafe, as it is open 24 hours. The host was friendly, and the server, I think was the manager, was also friendly. Late at night / morning, around 1am, I had ordered the Corned Beef Hash, scrambled eggs, hash browns with an english muffin. Maybe I had too much to drink, but you know, at this point, everything tasted so good. The Corned Beef hash was chunky, not shredded, Hash browns were crispy, the way I like it, and you know, scrambled eggs are scrambled eggs! The Decor reminds me of Island's Restaurant with the Hawaiian surf thing going on, ya know. At 1am in the morning, there were a lot of tables, but earlier, around 6-8pm, the place was full. My order was taken quickly, and the food arrived quickly as well. This was a good stop, cuz I can't imagine stopping at McDonald's eating a Big Mac and fries after drinking all evening. We came in with good energy wanting to have dinner & the server we got had such a dry attitude. The beach cafe is a simple sandwich hamburger place and the sandwich was reasonably nice. I had the club sandwich, we split it because it is a big sandwich. And it was pretty meaty I have to admit. The service is well just okay, two mediocre. So even though there's not much of a crowd it's a bit slow. Oh well sometimes the big casinos and a little casinos both have that slow process of helping the customer get back out to those slot machines read more

My in-laws and I met friends for a late morning meal. On entering entrance is very narrow and the seating for waiting is not adequate. However once seated the tables and chairs are comfortable there themed in a tropical decor. Our server was friendly and efficient. I wanted to healthy start breakfast which came out perfect. The fruit cup was filled with big slices of melon & pineapple. My ice tea was in a big huge tumbler. The chicken breast was larger than average size and grilled to perfection with a light but tasty seasoning. The hashbrowns were a little greasy and could've been prepared crispier. Weirdest Taco Salad that I have ever had. Salad in a tortilla shell, but absolutely no salsa, picante, avocado, Mexican seasonings, or anything else that would remind you of Mexican food other than the shell. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, cooked chicken (with no spices added to it), shredded carrots, and blue cheese dressing on the side. My omelet was hard, had no taste, and the avocado I couldn't eat because it was do hard. It was gross! But my poor husband food was worst than mine. The roast beef had a bad smell, and looked like it had been sitting out side for a month. My husband took one bite, and said he couldn't eat it. Food like this will get customers sick, very sick.
