I bought a Canon Pixma 9120 printer on 12/1/2018, and on 5/17/2019 there is a hardware issue according to Canon support. Canon said that Beach Camera is not an authorized canon dealer, therefore there is no one year warranty for this printer. Don't buy any product from Beach Camera until you know if they are an authorized dealer for the product. Somehow I bought the printer through Amazon, but can't find the purchase on Amazon's site. Just wasted $99, and now had to order a similar replacement directly from Canon; costing 88.99. (which is what Canon calls an upgrade program ... wow! not much an upgrade). . read more

I have never dealt with a worse company. I ordered a DJI phantom through Amazon, and as of now , I do not have the product and I am out $500. Long story short, I ordered a DJI phantom through Amazon, Beach Camera processed the order. The product was not working when delivered ,I worked for hours with Manufacturer to repair it no luck. They DJI finally asked me to return for repair, the manufacturer DJI, replaced the unit, still not working , so I decided to return it to Amazon which I did, and Amazon instructed Beach to refund my $500. But as of now Beach camera is telling me to basically suck eggs because the device I returned to Amazon does not have the original serial number, I have tirelessly tried to explain the situation and how even though the original unit was broken that I tried to get it repaired rather than return it , but they ( their support team) seems to be a mindless non customer focused group of robots. All I wanted was a working unit to begin with. They are refusing to refund my money due to a serial number mis-match on the returned ( non working product) , their basic response is to take it up with DJI. I asked them to ship me back the unit in their possession with the wrong serial number since they are not going to refund anything. I can't get any response as to the status of this return. It looks like I may have to go to small claims court to get my $500 back since right now I am out $500 and the broken unit which seems to have gone down a black hole. read more

I purchased a router from Walmart.com, Sold and Shipped by Beach Camera. On receipt, the item was defective. I called Beach Camera for some advice only to learn that the stipulations of the return policy differed from Walmart.com to Beach Camera. The customer service rep was unprofessional, raising her voice at a frustrated customer. According to her, I was only to return the item with the EXACT same box that I received with (which I tossed cause it didn't say that anywhere), lest I pay a 15% restocking fee. This language was not found on the Walmart.com return policy. Needless to say, I am so glad and grateful that the management at Beach Camera put themselves in my shoes and honored my refund with no issues (sent back in whatever box I had). They were fast, snappy, and got my refund right back. I would only advise to be consistent with the return policy no matter the party selling through, discrepancies and inconsistencies lead to upset customers. read more

The worst experience of my adult life from a sack of lying jerks.... Paid extra $$$$$ to have a very expensive item shipped to my door next day...a "bundle" with an extra battery needed to complete a shoot that next day... Received an email that indicated the battery was shipping separately and immediately called salesperson Ray who assured me that they would indeed both ship together and be delivered together next day. The battery did not arrive.... At all...correction... It arrived 3 days later and was promptly stolen. I had it delivered next day because I knew I would be there to look out for it and needed it NOW. 3 days after it should have been delivered it was finally dropped on my step at 2:15...I was home by 3:00 and it was gone. Now I have to watch my back and home because it's very obviously someone who lives close by that took this. Thanks BEACH CAMERA FOR ALERTING THE LOCAL THIEVES THAT MY HOME IS A GREAT PLACE TO FIND EXPENSIVE ELECTRONICS.... Their customer service is just as bad. Idiots. Horrible experience, and at Christmas! Shame on you Beach Camera. I bought a Garmin Vivosmart from them via Amazon. The sealed package arrived from FedEx. We opened the package only to find a box from Garmin that had been torn open and, of course, no Vivosmart. I filed a claim and after blaming both Amazon and FedEx they said they would "investigate" and get back to me in 7 to 9 days. I contacted them 10 days later only to be told they had denied my claim. That's it, just "no". They said if I don't like it, take it up with Amazon, which I have done. I'm just praying Amazon comes through so my daughter can finally get her Christmas present. read more

Just recently, within the last month or so, I ordered an external hard drive from this company via Amazon. Their reviews were great, and the customers seemed pretty happy with what they got. WELL IT'S A TOTAL LIE!!! For starters the package came about 3 days after I was told it was gonna come. Then since it was a birthday gift for my boyfriend he wanted a wireless external hard drive instead. So I started the return process, and let me tell you it has been the most difficult thing that I have ever dealt with from Amazon or any company for that matter. I got the authorization code to ship the product back, and I paid the $12 for prior shipping and signature confirmation. After about 4 days of no response from them about my refund I wrote. That's what started this HORRIBLE snowball. Every response I got from them was so animated or pre-written. I heard from days that they were "investigating" the matter because they have not received the package to their warehouse, even though I have a signature from one of their employees confirming delivery. I forwarded the information to their office, and still got the "were are looking into it". And this point it had been 5 business days of investigating and no refunding. So I ended up filing a AtoZ claim with Amazon. Still another 3 days after filing the claim I FINALLY got a response that even though they could not local my return they were gonna refund my purchase, and give me $10 off my next purchase with them. Later that day I got a email from Amazon that they have cleared my refund of $10 and it will be credited to my account in 2-3 days. $10!! the external hard drive cost me $70!!! I called Amazon to straighten this out once and for all, plus sent them an email about how they shorted me BIG time!!! I finally got a response that they were clearly the rest of my refund of $59, still shorting me the $.99!!! WT......I am annoyed at this point. I am still not completed refunded after 2 weeks of returning an item. Plus I have asked 3 times to have a supervisor contact me and NEVER once did anyone call me from this business. STAY AWAY!!! If you don't stay away, at least you are fully warned. read more

Some guy who sounded like he was gnawing on a steak told me my package was going out that day. No email, no tracking number, no nothing. Waited another week. Nothing. Called again. Got another guy who whined about the Christmas rush, said my package was going out the next day. WHAT? Did the first guy LIE to me??? I finally got my package on 12/16, too late to mail it on to the person I'd bought it for. I ordered a refurbished camera from Beach. It did not work, and they would not pay for return shipping. And it's not like it worked for a few days and then broke. It didn't work from the second I took it out of the box. Couldn't someone have tested it? Crazy. It cost me $40 to ship it back to them. What a waste. I can't believe this place is still in business. Great customer service once I was finally able to speak to a supervisor after an issue with an order. They are hard to get in touch with at times but once you can actually speak to a representative they gave me a relatively quick resolution that had to be handled above the customer service phone operators. Very competitive on pricing for the product I purchased as well. read more

The Good: Beach Camera has great prices. The Bad: Let's talk about shipping. I had a camera lens shipped from Beach Camera to my apartment. My apartment is such that it's impossible to get into without someone there to let the delivery driver in. They leave a packing slip on my mailbox, and I always reroute the package to either the main UPS facility or the nearest FedEx store. In the last month, I've done this with KEH, Amazon, Borders, and twice with B&H. Not with Beach. No, Beach Camera refused to let FedEx hold the package for me at the nearest FedEx store. (I contacted FedEx, who informed me that it was Beach who made this request.) I had to let FedEx make three futile attempts to deliver the package to even have any other option. Then, I still couldn't have the package rerouted to my local FedEx store. I had to drive 30 miles round trip to get my package. Given the weather here and work conflicts, I received my lens a week and a half after I should have received it. Beach Camera will never receive my business again. read more

After two failed attempts at getting my Canon ELPH 360 HS camera from a third party service, I found what I wanted through them and went straight to their source. No middle men. The camera came in only two days and had a lot of accessories to get me started. The price was the best found for such a bundle. Their customer service was very friendly, knowledgeable and made the process easy and quickly. Christmas is coming soon kids. I would highly recommend just taking a peak at their website. Purchasing from Beach Camera has to be one of the most frustrating shopping experiences of my life. I placed an order for a t.v through a site called Greentoe where you make an offer and companies can accept or counter offer. I accepted a counter offer which came from Beach Camera. The tv took a week to ship and when it did I was double charged the $3,000. They reversed the one charge when I contacted them about it. Buyers remorse set in and I decided I'd rather save some money so I bought an OLED instead. I declined the shipment of the tv, sent it back to beach camera and emailed them notification. And then I waited for my refund....and waited. A week went by and I was told it was processed but can take 10 to 12 business days to show up. After 10 to 12 business days I was still missing my refund. Emailed again, was told it was processing. After another of week of waiting I called American Express and told them about the situation and they opened a dispute. Shortly after I contacted Beach Camera again, they referred me to buydig. I contacted buydig and they informed me they see no record of a return or a refund. Furious, I contacted beach camera again only to be told they would look into it with no response days later. I followed up with AmEx and they haven't even heard back from Beach Camera yet. A few days ago I emailed them again for an update and was told everything would be resolved by the next business day. Surprise! It wasn't :( . Tl;dr - Beach camera initially double charged me, reversed the double charge, I returned the item well within their return policy which they acknowledged and I have yet to receive my $3k refund dating back from June 12th despite numerous attempts at contact and resolution. read more

So why in the name of God were we listening to it on a pair of crappy speakers I bought at Circuit City for $20? The insanity which led to her agreeing to marry me can't last much longer.] Because my methodical nature extends even to otherwise spur-of-the-moment purchases, I hopped on CNet, typed in "best computer speakers" and instantly had a highly useful list in front of me. And lo and behold, the very very best speakers you could buy were available at Beach Camera for a mere $88. How often can you buy a "best of" consumer non-durable for so little? [I feel a little sorry for anyone who fully grasps that one.] The Logitech Z-2300 speakers are easily as good as CNet promised. I had a hard time figuring out where exactly to fit the subwoofer, which is a 1.5-foot cube, but it makes a nice foot rest under the desk. Beach Camera had the best price, a reasonable shipping rate, and they did everything super fast. I really don't know what more I could ask for. read more

NEVER AGAIN I spoke to Josh about a return today. If you get to talk to Josh on a return, I'm very sorry. I will never purchase anything from Beachcamera.com simply because the interaction with Josh made me think of the next customer service rep I may talk to will be like Josh. He was short, unpleasant, and I felt defense before I could explain everything on my end. WHAT HAPPENED I made a purchase before a long vacation. The piece we got did not work for our camera. A customer service rep, Nancy, let us know we can exchange the piece for one that worked. If we didn't get the piece in time (before we left) that we could call her again with no problem and we could extend our return time since we knew for certain it would be past the 45 days return. We didn't get the piece in time and upon our return from vacation, we called about 4-5 times with no response. Nancy was kind and patient when we first spoke to her but she never was available when we got back. Today-we got Josh. Josh let us know sometimes customer services reps are busy, their voicemail get over filled, go on vacation or they no longer work there. And the best he could do is return our product with US paying the return shipping. We just wanted to get off the phone and get Beach Camera off our minds. Purchased a TV through Walmart to be delivered from Beach Camera, waiting a week to get it (fine), then had the 3rd party delivery company call us at 4:45 before we close on Good Friday saying they were delivering Friday. Ok, well we are closed and the TV tracking was for April 2/3rd. Deliver on Monday we said. We can't they said, they are closing for a weeks vacation. Oh really, well thats unacceptable to me since I had no idea. So I call Beach Camera and give them the appropriate amount of hell as to why this is happening. They have NO IDEA their delivery company is closing for the week. The woman is going to look into and call me back. She doesn't. This morning, I email customer service about the issue and I get a response that they are crediting us $70 and delivering "sooner." So of course I'm curious as to what sooner means. I get another message back saying they tried to deliver the place of business is closed until the 9th . Um, NO, your crappy 3rd party deliver company is closed until the 9th, not my office, which I'm sitting in. So you may win the TV in their profile cover, but you may never get it actually delivered. I've seen the reviews and they seem pretty polarizing, mostly 1* and 5* and little in between. I will gladly leave 5* from a purhase over a year ago. I bought a Nikon camera (yes, a real camera) that came with a bag and a memory card. A few weeks after I received it I couldn't find the memory card, called them and said it must have been overlooked in packing. The rep (FTR, answered the phone quickly) said it should have been included and asked if I'd looked thoroughly. A thorough search was carried out said I. He said they'd ship a new card out. It arrived in a few days. All he asked was that if I should find the original card, to please send it back. Of course a few days later I found the original card, mailed it back, and sent an apologetic E-mail which they very understandingly answered. My experience was professional, any interactions were prompt and courteous, and they were very concerned with making my experience a positive one. Well done guys and highly recommended! read more

A few months ago, I bought my first entry-level digital camera, which is the Nikon Cool pix 11. That camera has been a part of me, and has been to everywhere in a short time-span including the Yelp Holiday Party of 2007. (It seems like an eternity ago, huh?) Well, I began to have the love & passion for the use of my first digital-camera everywhere family and I go. The camera is beginning to be a necessity item for me. Recently, I was reading a classified ad in a photography magazine and saw this New Jersey camera store selling cameras and other electronics and accessories at affordable prices. With their prices of cameras being cheaper than other competitors, it didn't take long for me to upgrade to a better camera. What caught my eyes is the Nikon Cool pix 50. This camera sold at other local retailers for nearly $225.00. But Beaches Camera sells this slick-looking camera for $150.00 w/ tax, and plus shipping to my crib is "free". I ordered them via online last Thursday, and received it today (Monday). I bought my 6.0 mega-pixel Nikon Cool Pix 11in San Francisco for $140.00, back in October of 2007, now that same camera is $90.00 w/ tax, also shipping is free at Beaches. This slim-black 8.1 mega-pixel camera has a 3.6 Optical Wide-angle lens and provides awesome images up to 30mm in wide-angle capability. My new camera is a major upgrade and not a bad choice for a second camera. There are many positive feedback about my new camera too. As I abovementioned, that my camera has been to many places in a short-time, including an adventurous time eating a greasy hamburger and taking a picture, therefore I gave my old camera to niece, who's enjoying her likewise first taste of owning and using a digital-camera. With the prices being so affordable here, I'll order all my necessary accessories here. And once I get the hang of my current newest toy, I'll upgrade to the newest advance model, which will be the DSLR model (Digital Single-Lens Reflex). read more

This is a quick review to comment on the excellent customer service I have received from Beach Camera. Due to a mistake by Amazon, the delivery of my new camera from Beach Camera was going to be delayed by a couple of days. Unfortunately, during that period, we would be out of town so we would not be home to get the delivery. Not wanting a camera to sit on the front doorstep for several days, I contacted Beach Camera. They arranged with the shipper (FedEx) to have it held at a local FedEx center rather than being delivered. Long story short, the arrangement to have it held at FedEx worked like a charm and I was able to get my camera with no problem. So, thanks to Beach Camera for not only having a solution but also for making sure the solution worked. Incidentally, the camera I received was exactly what I had ordered, well packaged, etc. Very satisfied with Beach Camera. read more

Disappointed with the service. Ordered a drone, the website said order today and you'll have it in two days. After 3 days it still hadn't been shipped because they never had it in stock. My refund was tied up for 5 business so I couldn't purchase anything until then. Most everytime they say "order now for two day arrival" they never have in stock. TLDR: Don't waste your time, very scammy vibes here. Thought I purchased what looked to be an okay deal for a manufacturer refurbished camera on Ebay during the Ebay bucks special promo. Here's what happened next: 1) Instead of a shipment confirmation, I receive a "Purchase Follow Up" email from the "social media team" with an unsolicited message trying to sell me other products. 2) Few days later, receive a cancellation notice "Cancellation of Backorder" notifying me that the camera was sold to someone else and to "let them know if there was something of equal or greater value in stock and they would provide me a deal in my favor." Note that this was a normal listing of a product on Ebay, not some backorder. 3) Luckily for me (or so I thought), they had the same model in stock in new condition, so I offered to buy a new one for the going market value rate on Ebay instead (even though it was significantly more than my original purchase). In response, I received a non-responsive email, telling me that "they do not match prices or price changes" and referring me to their sales number to try to get a "deal." When I tried emailing "social media" and they "escalated to their manager" I received the exact same, pre-written, nonresponsive reply. 4) Ebay then notified me shortly thereafter that the order was cancelled, for the reason "buyer requested cancellation." Reading other reviews, looks like I got lucky and just lost out on the Ebay promo value I could have gotten buying from someone else. These are not people that deal in good faith, shop elsewhere. Complete Fraud I purchased a Canon L series lens package, and they did ship the lens, only the accessories. However, they charged me for the lens. *UPDATE*- The manager called me and came up with various solutions to try and charge the batteries in the meantime until the shipment comes on Saturday. This is the service I was looking for initially. He then offered me a higher refund credit to make up for the price of a replacement battery. Thank you. He was very polite and understanding. NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER BUY FROM THEM! I will admit, when I first received my bundle package, I was amazed at everything that came with it, but I quickly realized that the batteries and charger or defective. I immediately reached out to customer support (not much support) about this issue because obviously if the charger won't charge the batteries then the camera won't work. Customer service said that they were going to send me a replacement battery and charger with expedited shipping. After two days and no replacement battery or charger, I called customer service and a gentleman on the phone told me that they sent it out the next day with regular shipping for delivery date of 7 days later! I was completely flabbergasted because I was lied to. I have not been able to use my camera since I received it which has been 2 weeks now. The gentleman on the phone was nice, and told me that he would expedite the shipping on the charger and the battery. I received a phone call today from that same gentleman and he told me that he couldn't expedite the shipping and that the best he can do is offer me a $20 credit if I find the charger and battery at a different store. A $20 credit on $50 batteries and $40 chargers?!?!?! This whole process has been UNACCEPTABLE. I am returning all of the items and I'm going to receive a full refund. So beware if you still buy from them, they might just repackage and send you my defective junk. I've bought from them twice... both through Groupon.com so I didn't know at the time who I was ordering from. My first purchase was a Nikon DSLR camera. After about a week I received a shipping notice but it was another week until it actually was given over to the shipper for shipping. The product did arrive and was as expected and I love it. I'm just a bit peeved that they said they shipped it a week before they actually did. For this I give a 1 star. I then ordered a wifi adapter thing through Groupon for the same camera. I didn't realize at the time that it was from the same retailer. This time the product arrived quickly and as expected. For this I give them 5 stars. Overall a 3 star rating. I bought 2 Fitbits for my kids for Christmas. On Christmas morning, they decided that they no longer wanted a Fitbit. So on the day after Christmas, I contacted Beach Camera to process a return. They stated that it was outside the return window. I explain to them that was bought as a Christmas gift and most other retailers have extended return windows for that very reason. They said that they can only except a return if they charge me a 30% restocking fee. This is after I had contacted somebody on December 4 explaining my dilemma because I tried to return earlier in the month and they said it shouldn't be an issue. Their solution was for me to try to sell it on eBay or on another marketplace venue. I don't think that's very good customer service in my opinion. Everything is still in its original packaging and it's not like I waited for months after Christmas to try to return it. It's literally five or six days outside of the return window.
