They also somehow locked in stains into the clear coat of my hood. They tried to gaslight me and say the windshield was like this to start(!), and that the hood couldn't be cleaned--yet they managed to clean the rest of the car without leaving permanent stains because it only had dust and pollen. The worse service I have ever had and my car was left dirty. I went there for a wash and told them I wanted all the yellow bug marks off the car. They said that I needed to pay 40$ more. I said okay. When I got the car, it still had all the little bug marks--can't miss it on a black car. The interior was not cleaned well at all. They never touched the trunk and they did not bother to do anything but wash the tires leaving them and the car dripping with water. I told them I needed all the yellow bug marks removed, that I paid for that, and it needed to get done. They refused. They were rude. Another manager came by and said he was not doing anything and had run my credit card. I asked for a refund for the extra money for the yellow little dot stains. They refused. I was forced to dispute this on my credit card and it took a long time for the bank to finally agree and refund what I asked for. That day I took the car to Playa Car wash, paid for just a regular wash, and no bug marks and they cleaned the inside and it was not wet. It was done. So, if you don't want to get ripped off, don't go to Beach Cities. They are just awful. read more

Terrible experience. They scratched my car. Avoid at all costs. I arrived at 4:45pm on a Tuesday and they close at 6:00pm. I asked them if it was a hand wash. "Yes." I proceed to the ticket kiosk and ask for the silver package and ask what is included. He tells me, "It's an automatic wash through the tunnel. If you want a hand wash that's $60." I say that's fine, pay the $60 and take a walk around the block. I come back an hour later and my car is still in the bay with no one working on it. They tell me it will be 20 minutes longer - which is fine. I come back in 20 minutes and all the employees have gone home except for one guy with my keys, who hands them off and promptly leaves. I get in my car and immediately notice the interior has not been vacuumed. They wiped down the dashboard and that's IT. On top of that, there are water stains on my seats and scratches on the exterior clear-coat. See pictures for how they absolutely botched this wash and charged me extra for it. All pictures are AFTER the "wash." I wouldn't come back here for another car wash unless it was free and came with an apology and clear-coat touch ups to fix the scratches they made. read more

I regularly come here to get my car washed. It's fast, pricing is reasonable and job is generally good. Also, all the workers are very nice. The only reason I don't rate it higher is cause the work can be inconsistent. I will fully admit I'm type A and after my car is cleaned I want it perfect. I have on more than one occasion asked to used their rag to wipe down the inside myself or gone and vacuumed it myself after. I once asked about it not being wiped down and was told that was a lot more for a deep wiped down, so I opted not to do it. I prefer not to get the air freshener because I feel like it smells really fake & strong. My gripes aside, I don't go anywhere else. It's convenient and quick! read more

First they charged my 5 passenger kia sportage car, no longer than a camry a Large car fee? Not the fee the principal! I got into the car the floor didn't even look like it was throughly vacuumed. I've been coming here for over a decade. I left town for 4 years and on my return to Beach Cities..I have to say, I'm disappointed. It used to be fun, grabbing a coffee and cookie and chatting it up with the girls behind the counter and sharing laughs. but alas, all things end at some point. The whole visit seem to go sideways from the first guy I met when I went to vacum my car to ' poppy ' the older mexican gentleman who I usually chat with for a short time before giving him a tip. Even ' Poppy'? my car came out and was still went - I walked over and grabbed a towel to dry my car off myself? So, I doubt I'll be going back...I can pay $15 with a $3 tip just about anywhere in the city closer to home. Post covid LA :( read more

First time and loving it! Juan at car dropoff is super friendly and professional. He offered me options and gave me the best deal for a regular car wash and seat shampoo. I like that he came to find me to let me know about some ink stains that won't come off. The car was done within 45mins but the seats were still wet and needed another hour to dry off. I left the car and came back no problem after 1.5hrs to pick up. This is my goto car wash place. They track points using your license plate and you get a free car wash after every 150 points (i think?). I usually just get the express wash and going through the tunnel reminds me of when I was a kid. If you do go inside they have lots of knock knacks and accessories for you car. Sunshades, steering wheel covers, air freshners etc. They also have coffee and cookies. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean and thwy have some charges at the end where you can pay to have a five minutes massage. Decent value dont forget to tip the hand dryers. read more

First off I've been coming to this place for many years , probably almost 10 years. I recently sold my black sports car which I took to this car wash many times. Having said that the last time I was there, there's some scratches on my back bumper that happened during the car wash . I didn't make a big deal about it I just told the gentleman And they got a buffer and some compound and were able to get the scratches out. Obviously, this is a big deal to them. It wasn't such a big deal to me until I went back today with a different car. First I pull in and the young man says oh you were here before we noticed with your license plate. And there were some problems with your car right? Some scratches on it. I said no that was a car I had before this is a brand new car. I've never brought it here before, he says oh and then went to grab his boss. The gentleman says to me oh, we need you to sign a waiver before you can wash your car here in case there's any damage we're not liable for it . I said, why would I do that? That would be your responsibility if your car wash damages my car right ?? Then he says oh some cars we recommended be hand washed, and this is one of them. I was like wow man I've been coming here for at least 10 years and I've never had you guys asked me to do this before. The top it off a hand wash is $65.03 times as much as a normal wash. I bet they do want me to get a hand wash ha ha. I told him I'm not gonna sign any waiver . He was like OK then. so then I left. Seems like this place doesn't care about good customer service. If they ask everybody to sign a waiver who washes there car here they wouldn't have any customers Looks like they just lost a great customer today. Damn shame. I recommend to stay away from this place. Millennium car wash, which is two blocks before this place on Lincoln does a much better job , better customer service ,and way nicer to people. The car washes are what I expect, and the staff in the office has been kind and helpful. During my last visit, my experience was extremely disturbing. I have lived in the Venice area for nearly 20 years, and have visited many businesses, but the manager at Beach Cities was the most disrespectful person I have ever encountered as a customer. I drive a Tesla and went through the car wash today with my phone as a key. I have been a frequent customer for several years now. I typically don't have any incidences. They are all hard-working men and women and do a great job. I purchased the most expensive package (Diamond, I believe it's called), and I watched the entire cleaning/wash process. The outside of the car looks fine. However, the inside looks like it was virtually untouched, and that's because I only saw them working on the inside for a total of 2 minutes--maximum. There are dirt and footprint marks that were not even touched with the rag. This is completely unacceptable when purchasing the most expensive package that a carwash has to offer. This is the 2nd place i went for car wash and im disappointed...like they say "one is enough, two is too much" ...i don't think i will ever go back and find another car wash in the west part of l.a. In this car wash, i went ahead and paid $29.99 ..even tipped the guy for "cleaning" my car. The guy waived his rug as a signal that the "cleaning" is done, i went and check, opened the trunk and voila...the trunk wasn't fully vacuum, smudges on the inside door of the trunk, even told the guy that the car is dripping, pounted him the smudges, told him about the crumbs/dirt in the trunk...he told me that if i want it vacuumed, he pointed me to the vacuum area where you first stop and get the ticket. Then he called the other hmguy, told him about the issue, the other guy said that it's bec my duffle bag was in there and don't touch it...i told him "well how about the other side? I've gone to this car wash for years when I lived closer to it. Wow how times have changed. I went in on Sunday and most of the employees were just lounging around. I like that they let you vacuum your own car, I know I'm doing a better job! Well I had a coupon for $3.00 for any tunnel car wash. The guy that helped said he can take $2.00 off!!! These guys are great- I'm not sure what all the gripe is about. They get your car wash done quickly and thoroughly. I got interior detailing and all surfaces are spotless. There is a bit of residue with the cleaning products and the seats are a little wet for a day or two after so I use a towel. Also, hard working people! Make sure to give a tip. read more

I bought the $35 wash. So it wasn't the cheapest wash. They did a very subpar job for the money. If you have anything on any of the seats, (like a dog travel seat) they won't lift up the bed and wipe down the seat. I lifted the dog seat up to discover dirt, dust, fur, crumbs. When vacuuming they do only what is in sight. I lifted up the seats in the rear to have a look to see a pile of dirt and rocks from my recent camping trip. They would have only had to slide their vacuum and hand UNDER the seat as a normal person would, even if you didn't know the seats lifted up. They don't actually wipe down the inside of your cup holders or little notches on the door. They just do the most subpar job ever. I tried this place after the last place got new ownership and started doing subpar work only. I find these places only put effort in when you buy the $200 washes. This really sucks.. They simply don't clean your car well. No matter how much you pay. The guy suggested I paid $260 (!) to get a "special pet hair removal service". As if. But it's not the lack any effort on the interior, it's also driving off with a grubby windscreen too. Why did I pay them anything at all? I used to bring my car and my wifes car here once a week for the last few years. I get the most Expensive car wash and I tip $5 - $10 like clockwork and usually do a decent job, but occasionally forget to clean cup holders, center consoles, rearview mirrors, etc.. I get that happens from time to time, but at nearly $40 a wash they really should not miss that as often as they do. Due to the convenience factor, it was fine for me to continue giving them business...... until.... recently when I pulled up my car after a road trip to Palm Springs I asked the guy in the front "can you power spray the windshield and grill for a few moments longer to get the bugs." The guy started questioning me about how I treat my car and accusing me of neglect. It was the oddest exchange and he was incredibly rude to me. I felt like this was a hidden camera prank show, it was so strange the behavior of this employee. Thinking this was a one-off odd experience, a few weeks later with a different guy a very similar situation occurred where they argued with me over a simple request. I WILL NEVER give them another penny. Why are you rude to your customers??? I've never been this upset to write YELP review in my life. I could not believe they were so rude and disrespectful.
