I am so sad writing this bc I wish my experience was different. Last year my husband and I came in for a wedding ring update for our 10 year anniversary. We walked in and found one ring right then and there, it was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. We also purchased an additional ring to go with the new ring. My husband also brought his Super Bowl ring to sized. We were happy. With 2-3 months, while I was shutting our closet door, I moved my hand awkwardly, hit my hand on the door (not enough to hurt) but I noticed a one of the diamonds had fell off my diamond wrapped band (luckily, when I noticed I found it on the ground). Later that week, I noticed a tiny diamond and fallen off the petite ring. I was heartbroken-- I am pretty rough with my hands and have two little kids so my hands get a lot of action but I had never had actual diamonds fall off rings. I called my jeweler, let her know and she said to bring them in. She offered to fix it and change the style of ring for the petite to make it more secure. She told me she would send me the design before creating it. That same day we went to pick up my husbands ring -- when we got home, we found water damage inside of the ring (writhing a hallow part of the design). Our jeweler took many months to fix my ring -- so much I had to follow up with her twice. She never sent me the design before creating. Months later she sent me a photo of the finished product and told me to come in and get my rings. We did but the entire time, I was irritated. I didn't like the look the re-designed ring but at that point I didn't even say anything bc I wanted to leave. I have been waiting 10 years for the upgrade and I wanted it to be special. Now every time I look at my rings I either worry that a diamond is going to fall off or it reminds me that I never want to go to the jeweler again. And probably going to getting a new rain eventually -- but I'm mostly just so unhappy with the service. I expected a lot more. And now, my husbands ring has dried water stains inside the design for life -- this is a family heirloom. My jeweler was Callie -- very nice but not a great experience and not very apologetic at all. I wish my experience was different. I'm still upset about it a year later. read more

This review is well overdo, but a big thank you to Kali at Blue Diamond! My wedding band (an oval infinity band from a different jeweler) had had a stone fall out on 3 separate occasions over only 3 years since my wedding. The first two times I was lucky enough to find the stone, and had taken it to the original jeweler to be reinforced, but it kept happening. The last time, I unfortunately lost the diamond that popped out. I found Blue Diamond on yelp and dropped by as a walk-in and met Kali. She quickly pointed out that the stones in my ring were too large for the settings, and we decided a new custom band using my existing stones (plus a replacement for the lost stone) was the best way forward to ensure the integrity of the ring and safety of the stones. Within two weeks, with text updates along the way, my new band was ready and so perfect! The diamonds are arranged so evenly, and the band allows so much light under the stones that it reads so much brighter too. I take my rings off when I workout, but I'm pretty active and do a lot with my hands, and after a few months I can confidently say this new setting is so much more secure! Hello, I just wanted to share a wonderful experience that my wife and I enjoyed because of Altaf Amlani, the charming owner and designer of Blue Diamond Jewellers of Manhattan Beach. As we were visiting from Vancouver, Canada, we decided to drive down and visit Manhattan Beach. During our casual stroll through the town, we happened to pass by Blue Diamond's storefront. After seeing a couple of spectacular pieces in the window, we decided to venture inside, expecting the typical hard-sell from the man behind the counter who greeted us. Well, much to our surprise, nothing could have been further from the truth. Altaf gave us a professional explanation of the two pieces in which we expressed interest, and then encouraged my wife to try it on and view it outside, in a more natural setting, away from his showroom's bright lights. Suffice it to say, that's all it took to convince me that this would be the perfect gift to give to my wife to celebrate our pending 40th Anniversary. With that decision made, Altaf offered us a price that was more than fair, and allowed me to cinch the deal. When he told us that a portion of my purchase would be donated to a school to help provide those less fortunate with some nourishing meals, it was the proverbial icing on the cake. In closing, although I seldom write reviews of this nature, I wouldn't hesitate to strongly recommend Altaf, and Blue Diamond jewellers, to anyone interested in beautiful jewelry, sold at a fair price, without the typical strong-arm sales pitch. From our very first experience (which was walking off the street on a whim with no appointment), the entire Blue Diamond team made this a wonderful experience.
