Yum! My bf was looking to get a sandwich so I turned to Yelp. Our sandwiches were realllly good! I got the Surfin' Cow on toasted bread and he got the Santa Cruz. Mine was great with ripe avocado. He'll ask for pickles on his the next time because really, he likes pickles on just about all sandwiches. There were 3 size options and the smallest is probably good for most unless you're really hungry. We sat in one of the booths and...surprise...we had our own tv! The food was delicious! However, I was pretty disappointed that when there was a customer smoking on the patio nothing was done about it. I went and asked the staff if there was a policy about smoking within a certain distance from the entrance. They said there was not a rule but that the regulars know if there are children then to not smoke. This was disappointing. 1. It should not matter if there are children or not. There could be someone with severe asthma that is triggered by smoke. There could be pregnant women that aren't showing yet and the person smoking is putting both mother and baby at risk. 2. There is a law in Oregon stating there cannot be smoking within 20 feet of a public building and ORS 433.845 states it as such. read more

I'm a long time Tigard resident (30 years). I just stopped here for the first time. It's been open only 3 weeks. My neighbor reccomemded it and she was right! This is a pleasant family restaurant (not sure whether to call it a deli or a pub) with great food and a great local beer selection, all at reasonable prices. this is only the second Beach Hut Deli in Oregon (Bend is the 1st), but it's a franchise that dates back to 1981 and I think it has an excellent chance of sucess. The curved "surf board" themed bar is awesone! Music is nice not too loud and not too quiet (although I enjoy louder). They also have a selection of wines. Open and airy, its a nice place for lunch on a nice summer day, or even a rainy winter day. Friendly local student staff expertly prepare your food. It's nice to see more competition in old town Tigard and this place is well qualified not only to compete with existing Tigard patrons, but also to attract out of towners from Beaverton, Tualatin and even Portland! Great new addition to Tigard. Finally something other than Jimmy John's or Panera. So far I've been 5 times and always quality. 4 stars because onions on a Reuben that didn't settle well. Obviously I didnt look at ingredients before ordering. But onions? Their meatball is meh as well. Go small unless your starving. Ordered online takeout from Beach Hut for the first time tonight. I decided on the Mesa salad - excellent decision. Large salad full of delicious ingredients - especially the bacon! Hubby got the Surfin' Bird sandwich and said it was great. Final touch was the Beach Bites with hot marinara dipping sauce - delicious finishing touch. This place is so great! Me and my boyfriend went about 23 minutes before closing, and they were still very warm and welcoming. We did forget that it was Sunday and businesses close up rather early, especially with quarantine/COVID hours! We got our food to go and the food was done in a great amount of time. We didn't eat on their patio, because I felt so bad they'd have to clean it up past hours, but they insisted we'd have a place to sit! They were so nice and even got us a complimentary cookie because we were so thoughtful! I definitely recommend this small shop! They have lots of different warm and cold sandwiches! There's a place for adults in the back and a few small areas outside along with a bigger seated area in stores! :) Please try this place out and get the cheesey bread bites! Grabbed a coffee, and the family had sando's. The coffee was horrendous, considering they 'proudly serve Groundwork's coffee'. They microwave the water to make it; I ended up tipping in a plant pot on Main st. The sandwich looked very average, and my said it didn't live up to expectations. Great BBQ pulled pork sandwich called Pig Kahuna. They do not skimp on the beef and the pineapple was fresh. I left off the Tabasco and cheese. Hubby had it all the way and enjoyed it. The 6 inch was big and so filling I could only eat half. Made the mistake of ordering a 12 inch so I could have half the next day for lunch, but will have 4 servings off one sandwhich now it's that big! Got the LeCookie Monster cookie, but it wasn't that great tasting so will pass next time. Overall great experience. Staff was friendly and the food is fresh. Gonna try a salad next time. read more

It's about time something went in downtown Tigard I actually want to go to besides the car wash. Beach Hut Deli sandwiches are HUGE! But more importantly, they are absolutely delicious. If you order an XL sandwich and split it with someone, it's still a HUGE meal. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. Think Togos, only better. There's parking out front or park in the lot behind the building and enter through the back door. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Glad Beach Hut Deli is in Tigard.
