Have been wanting to try this place for awhile now & finally got to stop and enjoy. Excellent Rueben! Putting it at the top of my best Rueben list. My picky, picky son had the meatball sandwich and they altered it to his exact preference (thank you!) Fun vibe/decor. Love the individual TV's at the booth tables. My husband got a chicken salad and liked it. I got a half sandwich which was small but exactly what I was looking for. I asked about the meats and they sounded like nice quality brands and roasted. I liked the ham I got. I wish they had different chip options as most were "Dirty Chips" which are fried in peanut oil so be aware. The food is FANTASTIC! Big giant sandwiches that are custom tweaked to your liking and great prices. I always get the Cali Caprese sandwich with added avocado - like biting into heaven every time. And their Marley nachos are crazy good. They don't just dribble a bit of cheese on top. The entire nachos are mixed well so you get a bit of everything from the top of the nachos down to the last few. It's a HUGE serving and can easily feed three or four people. I love this place and I love the food. It's my go-to place for sandwiches and nachos always. I love beach hut deli. We used to go to one in Granite Bay, California and were so glad to find one in Bend when visiting and then found one in Tigard close to home. We went today and it was great, consistent with the others and so good. We will definitely drive to Tigard to get it. I've driven past this place several times, but forgot about it until doing a google search for delis in the area. We decided to give it a try for a work lunch. The menu is probably the most expansive of any deli I've been to. All of the normal classics but so many great hot sandwiches. I walked into the restaurant and instantly the smell of pulled pork and hot pastrami took over my senses. Beautiful surfboard booths with TVs and your own remote. Your favorite beers on tap as well as cocktails. The island music adds greatly to the experience. I've been back several times and even had the vegan sandwich, which was excellent as well. I go every once in awhile because just for me to eat it's $18+ for a 6" sandwich, cup of soup and a soda. Today I ordered the clam chowder. All I can say is clam chowder is one of my favorite soups. Their clam chowder isn't good. It's watery and I couldn't find a clam to save my life. I tried to eat it because the meal is more than I cared to waste, but couldn't. Really yummy sandwiches at good prices. They are a good size too. Service is always solid, no complaints there. I've never stayed for the live music, we always just stop by and eat outside when we go for a long walk to downtown Tigard from our house. Good amount of indoor seating during the winter. Hmmm...This place lost its first glow with me. For one, they've hiked their prices ridiculously if you order via DoorDash. Why do that? We are paying extra for the delivery. Why should we also pay extra for the food just because someone other than myself is picking it up? We ordered this week for an office meeting. Here's what I don't like about the sandwiches: They don't have the basics of sandwich-making down. I got a sandwich with turkey and avocado. They were nice, thick slices of turkey. But all the turkey was stacked on the outside of the sandwich and all the avocado was lining the inside of the bun, so when you took a bite, you didn't get all the layers in one bite: turkey, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato. You got a mouthful of turkey in one bite. You got a mouthful of avocado in another. And all of this was drowning in a gloppy sea of excess mayonnaise. Between price gauging and poor sandwich making, I'm skipping Beach Hut from now on. read more
