Visited midweek for lunch and the service was immediately welcoming. Parking was strange but once you get passed that, you are met with an extensive menu. I learned that they were known for their ribs an got a half rack that lasted me a few days along with sides of mac and cheese, creamed corn (super super sweet), and a blueberry cornbread (super dry and crumbly, not sure what the hype is on that one). Discovered this spot randomly through maps app. Went to check it out and was pleasantly surprised!! Cute bbq place - themed decor. Ample seating outside and some seats inside. The lights and atmosphere are set for a fun friendly bbq vibe along with a calmness. The food was good! We tried the chicken, brisket, and ribs. Came with cornbread, coleslaw, sweet potatoes fries. Had my order delivered through DoorDash today and it arrived in half an hour. The food came with bbq sauce and ranch sauce. The ribs are really tender and good. Fries are a bit soft and not crispy. For the chicken, the breast part is dry but still good overall, especially the drumsticks are juicy and tender. I should have them microwaved before eating them, because I am hungry today. Delicious food and GREAT experience with catering. Everyone on their team was easy to work with, super focused on providing a great experience for us. For example, we ordered food for 40 people for a party, and since it was a kids party, they just threw in extra Mac n cheese! So nice and accommodating. Okay no no no. RUN, don't walk, far away from this place. Wanted bbq and the reviews were mixed so thought we'd try it out. First thing I notice about this place is there's a huge swarm of flies outside on the ground as we walk in to order. Kind of gross. We sit outside, the ambiance outside is quite nice. Food comes out quick and I open up my sandwich and see a piece of HAIR in my chicken!!!! Ew. I bring it to the guy behind the counter to let him know and he examines it closely, almost as if he's skeptical or doesn't believe me? I get a half hearted apology and he says he'll bring me out a new sandwich. I didn't get a pic because I'm trying to be good about not being on my phone all the freaking time so I left my phone in the car, ugh. So hair in my food- umm I guess I'll let it pass? As we're finishing our meal, my husband goes "I think I just saw a rat" and I'm like, omg my brain cannot even go there right now. He gets up to go take a closer look and sure enough, there's a little mouse in the bushes. So make that hair in my food and a mouse...!!?! Just your friendly neighbood mice coming around for scrapes. Look I'm an animal lover through and through, I have 4 dogs! But I've never seen a mouse just come out broad daylight while I'm eating outside. Beach Pit BBQ has been regular family favorite for a decade. Our favorites include BBQ chicken, brisket sandwich. We like the outdoor seating and have only ever eaten inside once or twice. The heat lamps are great on cold winter evenings. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I do not like that they use a lot of Styrofoam products for carryout orders (this could have changed as I have not ordered carryout from here in a while due to the Styrofoam packaging). read more

We were looking for a place to cater a retirement party/bithday party. My wife and I came across Beach Pit BBQ by accident. We went there for lunch to give it a try. We ordered the BBQ Sampler. It was amazing. The ribs were tender and juicy. All the meat that came out was terrific. It was easy to make a decision that we wanted to use them to cater our party. Everyone at the restaurant was so nice and accommodating. We were going to host a party of about 40 people. We wanted to make sure we had enough for everyone. We ordered (2) of the 20 person party pack along with 5 extra racks of ribs and a tray of pulled pork. Again everyone was terrific and kind to us when it came to ordering and delivery. Everyone at the party loved the food all of it, the ribs, the chicken, the brisket and pulled pork. In truth we didn't need the additional Racks and extra meat. Even so the cost was very reasonable. The amount of food and sides could have fed alot more then 40 people. We had plenty of left over food. Every person at the party kept asking where we got the food and how terrific it all was. It was a great spread. Brian who took the lead called me 2 or 3 times to coordinate and was so helpful when he arrived. These guys are great. Excellent food! All the meats are smoked by the chef (Marvin) for 8-10 hours. The server (Christian) was really friendly and gave us a quick tour of the smoker. We got the meat sampler for lunch. The server, Christian, was immaculate in helping us decide in what to get so being indecisive was not an issue at all for us. The banana pudding is the tuffest pudding i've ever tasted. I had high hopes to be honest since they had a solid 4.0/5 rating. Unfortunately that was generous. The tri-tip was terrible. Likely could have made a better tip on a countertop oven. Super dry and no smoke flavor. The Ribs were damn decent lacked a bit of dry rub but that's okay. Pulled pork was super dry! Turkey sausage was okay. Chicken was dry almost hard from sitting for so long. In the end, the show stopper was the dang Cole slaw. Wow.... So incredibly good. Generous use of celery seeds and a good vinegar base! The best BBQ experience. The food is top tier -- the ribs especially are so full of flavor and fall right off the bone! Every table is also set up so perfectly with both mild and spicy BBQ sauce on every table as well as a much needed roll of paper towels. The service is always amazing every time too. Food, let's start with what we are all here for. The turkey brings you back or leaps you forward to grandmas thanksgiving. The ribs barely hang on by a pinky so it's the perfect point of slurping it off the bones not so dry with a great good balance of flavor and moisture. The chicken was slightly less than satisfactory to be honest but adding the table sauce brings it back to life with the overall nice texture. The brisket, I, to be honest have never really been a fan of for its dryness... but to my rescue comes my food critic wife, who, with a dash of salt made me realize what my favorite bbq meat is. Seriously the way the brisket is made is great, I would recommend adding salt to really bring out the flavors in the fat, no sauce needed! The pulled park was not my favorite again for the dryness but for my wife she was okay with it, adding their house sauce makes it better for sure. Sausage was so tender and tasty, I don't think I've ever had such a good sausage in my mouth.... Let's keep our minds on food please. Service from beginning to end from every person was exemplary. They talk to you like your an old friend coming back even though it was our first time. They don't pressure you into trying anything too expensive, in fact they recommend this plate for the two of us two get a full meat experience to see what we prefer over others. The ambiance is great whether you choose inside our out. Outside is great for a cozy date with a great amount of heaters wherever you sit and ample lighting. The inside really feels like a country barn with deer mantels and TV's comfortably nestled on the walls. Needless to say I will definitely be coming back for the 3 meat platter going for the brisket, ribs and sausage. This doesn't mean the other meats aren't good! You need to try them too! read more

We used to love this place. Started to eat their food the first month they opened. We haven't ordered here lately as we moved away so we're seldom near enough to get dinner. Tonight however, everyone at home really wanted ribs from Beach Pit BBQ. The food is still good, don't get me wrong. The portions have changed. A $30 full rack of ribs which comes with two sides & corn bread is disappointing. A side of the baked beans is about a half a cup. Same size for all side choices. Then you get one piece of corn bread roughly 2.5" x 3" (I measured). I guess these are meals meant for one person now. Unlike the Combo Meat meal that boasts two sides & cornbread, Enough for Two! After ordering $100 of food and enough meat for four we each got 4-5 tablespoons of beans and a 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" (3 small bites) of corn bread.
