To make matters worse, they've advertised themselves twice on doordash under different names. One is "Beach Pit BBQ" and the other is "BBQ's". How cheesy that they would do such a thing. Their food is lazy trash. Their sausage is gray like it was microwaved, their ribs have no seasoning our smoke flavor, their brisket just tastes like roasted unseasoned meat. Their mac'n cheese tastes of wet noodles and their beans... their beans are actually not terrible. The cornbread... standard, surprisingly. And once again their spicy BBQ sauce literally tastes like tabasco. Gross. Terrible establishment. Unethical tik tok restaurant trying to make a buck off internet trends. Fake BBQ to the max. Overall, a disappointing 3 stars. Compared to all the BBQ restaurants I've visited over the past year, this one ranks at the bottom. I was really looking forward to some good smoked bbq brisket, but I was very disappointed. What legitimate bbq restaurant serves their smoked brisket chopped into small chunks? That was my first question when I received my order. EVERY bbq restaurant I've ordered from serves their brisket sliced. I could not detect any smokiness from my brisket. I also did NOT see any evidence of the characteristic of a brisket smoked for 8+ hours. The "bbq" pork ribs seem to be no different from the brisket. The pork ribs did NOT have the characteristic of ribs that have been in the smoker. I didn't see the "bark" along with the reddish edge that develops after a long, slow smoking. There was no smokiness flavor either. One of the tests I use to rate a bbq smokehouse restaurant is their potato salad. I'll give their potato salad 4 stars. It tasted like it was house made. Their cole slaw was different. It didn't have the typical creamy slaw dressing. Theirs was a sweet vinegar dressing, which made it more unique and refreshing. I'll give their cole slaw about 4.5 stars. Beach Pit BBQ has a cozy outdoor patio. I'll give that outdoor patio setup 5 stars. But, why were there virtually no patrons? For a restaurant with 4 stars on Yelp, I was expecting to see more diners. The answer: read my review above. Finally, I have noticed that all the highly-rated smokehouse bbq restaurants I've visited thus far have one thing in common. You step up to a glass-covered counter where you choose your meat. The server then turns around to pull your butcher paper-wrapped meat from a warmer rack. They then proceed to slice your meat, in my case bbq brisket, in front of you and place it onto your plate. You then order your sides and pay. Beach Pit BBQ did not have this set up. Instead, they prepare your order behind a closed-off kitchen. I am not sure if I want to share this cause if it truly is found there will be wait times. Marvin the chef knows what he is doing. We ordered the sampler so we could try all their barbecued meats; ribs, chicken, pulled pork, turkey with a side of coleslaw and Mac and cheese. The meat will melt in your mouth and the barbecue sauce is perfect. The coleslaw is a vin egret which is a nice change from chain restaurants. The service here is exceptional. I ordered to go but still had to wait about 10 min after the expected pick up time. There is a nice outdoor patio with interesting decor so the wait wasn't bad. I ordered the turkey plate which came with two sides and I chose green beans and Mac n cheese. The turkey was pleasantly moist and tender with a slight smokiness that wasn't overbearing. The green beans were not overcooked and the mac n cheese was spot on, not overly cheesy. The corn bread has blue berries so I was expecting it to be sweet but it wasn't at all and was very moist. The whole meal just came really well together and I like that they provided a pat of butter for the bread. The complaint I have would be the proportions. The turkey provided was only a few slices while the corn bread was massive in comparison. I would have preferred more of the main entree rather than the bread. I also got an additional side of Texas chilli which was full of flavor and amazing but I was surprised that it came in a shallow container that was smaller than the other 2 sides yet was $10. It was enjoyable though and I had it with some tortilla chips. Given that, I might still return when I'm in the area and feel like treating myself to some BBQ. read more

Very cool BBQ spot tucked away like a little oasis. Looks like it was a house at one time that's been converted into a restaurant. Huge comfy patio plus some inside seating. Parking is limited and you can get trapped if someone pulls in behind you so make sure to look before pulling in too far. I wasn't lucky enough to snag a spot but there was plenty of street parking. The burnt ends appetizer was 5 stars BBQ perfection. Melt in your mouth tender, saturated with smokiness, and had a delicious dry rub. Unfortunately nothing else compared. My brisket salad was truly sad and uninspired for the price. Zero creativity in this boring salad. The brisket was horrible. Zero flavor and so chewy I thought I was eating a sirloin steak at Denny's. I can't believe this was slow cooked like the burnt ends. Total waste of money. Even the honey mustard was an odd choice and did not work. My wife's two item combo was no better. Same chewy flavorless brisket along with completely flavorless sausage. She had to drown everything in BBQ sauce which was very good. We also had Fried okra which as good. You get your own drinks but they do bring out your food and clean up your table so the up front tip is warranted. Service was extremely friendly. Called to let them know I had arrived in the parking lot at 3:20, and the employee told me she would bring out the food when it was ready. It is now 3:40 and I am still waiting in my car. What is the point of having a set pick up time when you don't have the food ready within a reasonable time of the scheduled pick up? I could understand a delay of 10 minutes or less, but 25 minutes plus is outrageous. The place is super cute, The servers are nice, + everything came out quickly but The meat was lukewarm, and not very hot. The ribs were good, the had a nice smoke ring and fell off the bone, the pulled pork was a bit dry and cold , and Brisket was slightly chewy ,and the sausage wasn't great it was cold and had a weird texture. The baked beans were my fav side dish loved the addition of kidney beans and it was a nice sweetness, savory balance ! When we walked in we were greeted and were helped when we were ordering. We got the bbq sampler with all of the meat. The turkey and ribs were our favorite but everything was good. It came with a side of beans, coleslaw and blueberry cornbread which was so light and delicious. The coleslaw had just the right amount of tang and the celery seeds in it were so good too! They serve wine and beer which is nice to have those to choose from besides tea or soft drinks. The staff checked in on us a couple of times and were helpful, friendly and gracious. Parking was adequate and there was seating inside and on the patio outside. Finally decided to give them a try. The place is cool, the guy behind the counter was really helpful and had a great attitude. The experience was great. The food is just not there though. Here's what we had: Brisket-It was cut in cubes, first time I've had it like that. It was just OK, not much flavor. Pulled Pork- Looked and tasted like shredded slow cooker pork, no bark to speak of. Kinda bland. Ribs-They come dry(how I like), but very little seasoning. Meat falls off the bone like they were boiled. I'm not accusing them of boiling them, but any good BBQ ribs is going to have some "pull" to the meat. Pretty bad for me. Potato salad- Pretty "mayonaisey", zero zip so also kind of bland. Baked beans-Not bad is all I can say Jalapeno Cornbread- Dry, and had literally one spec of jalapeno in it. Texas Chili-Pretty good, but a pretty small cup for the price. This was the only thing that wasn't in line with the price. Everything else was priced well. The sauces were heavy on the vinegar, so not for me at all.
