We got tired of the breakfast buffet at our hotel and decided to switch it up with something healthier. We found this little gem on yelp. We ordered iced coffee, the tropical waffle, and the paniolo bowl. The iced coffee was the best I've had so far on the island. The waffle and bowl were both really good. All of the fruits were fresh, ripe, and sweet. We ordered the large bowl and it was more than enough for two people. The waffle was a generous size too. We have been here many, many times and it never disappoints!!! The açaí bowls are to die for and the regular shaved ice just melts instantly in your mouth. It does take a while to get your order but it surely is worth the wait! This is by far THE BEST spot for your shaved ice cravings!!! read more

Amazing shave ice!!! I got the tropical fantasy and it was the heaven in my mouth. It comes with vanilla ice cream in the bottom which makes it so much better than the shave ice I ate as a kid. The employees told me they would not replace it for free, that I'd have to pay for another one, at half price. Like, seriously? Talk about leaving a negative impression. I always come here when I visit Maui. First for the shaved ice (can't go wrong!) and now as I've gotten older I go for their açaí bowels. Just how I like my açaí bowels: with lots of granola!!! In my opinion, it's part of what makes the difference in an açaí bowel. This was some GOOD CRUNCHY, CLUSTERED, GRANOLA. And lots of it! Yummmm Got the Hawaiian. Delicious. The fruit was super juicy and fresh. Could have used a little more papaya, but it was still amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Asked if I need a lid and a bag and wished me a good day. I left with a big smile on my face. Honestly just a great place with good food and drinks. Reasonably priced too. This place is great! The line was long, so we ordered online, which I highly recommend. Everything was so tasty we came back the next day. My kids had the açaí bowls and I had the cold brew, amazing! They were so helpful when they accidentally put granola on one of the bowls (one teen is allergic to nuts) and they remade it within just a few minutes and were super nice about it. The waffles were pretty good, the breakfast sandwiches were really tasty, and the banana bread was SO GOOD! read more

This place is quite good! We stopped here with our bikes as we are staying at a resort down the street. Had the Sunrise on an everything bagel and the paniolo açaí bowl. Both were delicious. Bagel was nice and chewy and I love the sweet freshness of the tomato combined with the savory creaminess of the cream cheese. Also liked how the açaí bowl had pumpkin seeds! Horrible experience here. We spent about $40 on food and drinks and our drinks tasted like milk and were white in color (we ordered a chai latte and an iced coffee). We asked if there was a way we could get our drinks re-made because they tasted like cold milk and the manager rudely said "that's how it is" and refused to re-make our drink. I asked if there was anything they can add to make it less milky and he said no unless I pay. He told me I can throw them away or do whatever I want with them. The manager is extremely rude and seems like all he cares about is money. So much for "Aloha culture." Will not be returning, there are better coffee and breakfast spots. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning and there were quite a few people! I got the Hawaiian açaí bowl and my brother got the frozen strawberry lemonade. Lemonade was good, you could tell there were real strawberries in it. Açaí bowl was decent, though I wouldn't say that the açaí base had a ton of flavor other than the açaí. We came here on a Monday morning for a $5 decaf bullet coffee and a $10 açaí bowl. We paid with a $2 tip and sat down. We get our order finally and after a couple bites, the wife realizes they made the wrong açaí bowl and so I go back to get the problem fixed. I was met with a woman who provided poor customer service by stating it was half eaten already and next time I should let them know earlier. I almost wanted to say there wouldn't be a next time (or this time) if you did the order correctly. This is the wrong attitude to any customer and management needs to address this. (1) most customers choose a small business for the experience, the quality, and the consistency of getting it right. When the small business messes up, it's up to you to fix it. (2) the cost of remaking an açaí bowl is probably $2-$3 tops, cost of losing sales in the long run is way higher. (3) the customer is almost always right. We don't gain much from eating "half a bowl" and hoping to get another one. We're not interested in getting free food. Tourists don't spend thousands of dollars to come to Maui to break even on getting an extra half of an açaí bowl so leave them with a local taste of happiness so they come back. Anyways, after all this distaste they ended up remaking the açaí bowl at the end of the day and while the coffee and bowl were good, the experience ruined the morning. read more

This place was just ehhhh for me. It wasn't terrible and it wasn't very good. It was just edible. My friend Courtney suggested that we grab an açai bowl and go to the beach. Parking at this place was a mess so that started it off stressful. The line was long but it gave us time to check out the menu. They did have lots of choices. I ended up getting a basic açai bowl... With bananas and strawberries on top. We cruised across the street to the beach and ate it quickly. The flavor tasted synthetic to me.. but not terrible. Like I said; just kinda boring. BUT! They served it in a non-styrofoam bowl and that makes me very happy!! I wouldn't be opposed to going back and trying something else but I wouldn't order another acai bowl here again. Specifically, caramel, vanilla and dark chocolate blended together with coffee until it's a perfectly-textured frappe of deliciousness, not too sweet, and full of fantastic coffee flavor!!! Mmmmm, I'm salivating just thinking about it!!! It's nothing short of amazing. And immensely addictive!! Don't start this habit unless you don't mind pacing the house late at night, craving this decadent, smooth frozen elixir, knowing full-well that they don't open again until the next morning...!!! You want more details? Fine. This is a walk-up window, WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE, with outdoor, covered seating available at a few stone table and bench sets. I went here at least 6 times during our 9 days in Maui. I tried the pina coloda (subbed soy milk for ice cream) smoothie and another one with mango, passion fruit and pineapple juice (can't recall name). Both of these were so fresh, smooth and yummy. They are fairly priced considering all the fresh fruit. You can even create your own. We also tried several of their iced coffee drinks, our fave was called something like a Monkey Mocha - a blended mocha with banana and chocolate, YUM. These were nice refreshing treats for a hot afternoon. I didn't have the shaved ice, milk shakes, breakfast sandwiches, or baked goods that all looked tempting. But I will be back to Kihei and will certainly try more. This is a great little place with delicious treats and friendly service. I'd give them 5 stars if they were open later. read more

OMG... I LOVE this place!!! They let me have as much extra haupia as I wanted and I'm blown away by the shaved ice flavor combinations every time. I was on Maui for 9 days and went to this place multiple times because of it's location and the kindness of the workers. They always have a smile and are super patient with people (like me) who can't decide what to get. My favorite flavor combo is Hula Girl--try it!!! I can't wait to go back to Maui and have more shaved ice at this lovely place! Make sure you get a punch card if you frequent this place (I got 2), you get a free item off the menu after buying 15 items. Sometimes during the hot day, there's only one table that really has any shade--don't fret though, there's two more tables on the left side of the building (if you're facing the pickup window) that has shade too. :) Extra kudos to this place for giving change. I needed a roll of quarters to do laundry and this was the only place that was kind enough to do it. Wish they were open past 6pm though. :) read more

Came here after a solo snorkel interlude and finding out that it was one of the hottest heat waves in Maui, breaking several years' records. I love the flavors of Hawaiian shaved ice and this did not fail to disappoint! I got a regular shaved ice but one of the new things I decided to try was the li hing mui powder topping. This totally now makes or breaks my shaved ice experience! It's super conveniently located next to the beach too on S. Kihei Road. Would like to try their other things next time! read more
