This is the best bar ever! There's a pool table that takes me back to my childhood! Grace is the most hospitable bartender. The owner Joe is always in house and makes us feel welcomed. He remembered me the last time I came in! Thank you for not looking at me as if I'm just a number and valuing me as a customer: the place is so clean, will be back next week!

Came here for a friend's birthday a few weekends ago & there was a live band, and it was an absolute BLAST. I may have been the youngest person there but there was no lack of energy by any means. Obsessed is a understatement. Wish i could post videos! Will be back when the band is there again.

Aloha, there are 2 bars in walking distance from our Airbnb on Mission beach, the Beachcomber has better beers, nice IPAs, yes! Only drawback is no food, but they do let you bring in. And now that we know there's food next door, we'll be back. Fun "beachcomber" funny money was seen passed around, not sure how that works, but would love to become a regular to find out. The bartender was fun & friendly as well as the regulars we met. Fun people watching here for sure.

A whole vibe. Absolutely perfect in this regard. I would myself go back for the vibe and ambiance. A few firepit tables, nice views. Service 5/5 Servers were warm, accommodating, so attentive from start to finish. Amazing service. Even from initially calling to coordinate - they were kind, helpful, set a custom menu and really was a fantastic experience. Food 2/5 ... maybe 3 for some *Beverages were fine *We ordered mainly the following: American breakfast: Eggs unseasoned, potatoes unseasoned, bacon burnt beyond edible, a few opened jams had mold in them Eggs Benedict: no complaints Fish n chips: Small portions overall, overly breaded, tiny fish portions. You have to request fries or these are served with chips. Chicken n waffles: Most people enjoyed but felt like a child sized portion. One said the waffles were incredibly sweet. Caesar salad: unsure Egg sandwich: fine I don't know if it was an off day because this was my first experience here but I feel like you pay for the vibe, food may be meh. Parking is free and plentiful. Overall a lovely party and was happy with the venue overall.

Why 3 stars? When we had made our reservation days before we had requested a table next to the water and were told that would not be a problem. When we arrived, both hostesses did not acknowledge us, instead they stood in conversation with each other. Perhaps talking about restaurant business, I'm not sure, but to stand there and not be acknowledged for what felt like quite awhile felt odd. When we gave our name and said that we had spoken to someone on the phone (while also using an app and mentioning the seating request) that we would like to have a table next to the water, and when we arrived, one hostess acted completely annoyed that we asked if we were getting a table by the water. We sat in a back table outside, which honestly was fine. Our server was fantastic, attentive, and friendly, checking on us often. Only other fail for food was the shrimp cocktail, it tasted really fishy and was warm, even though it was on ice. We only ate half of one, but we didn't mention it to the server. The hummus with crudite was delicious, and the rosemary bread was outstanding! Mains were a wedge salad with grilled chicken which was very good! The hot honey salmon with quinoa we ordered and shared was also delicious.

As a girl who was born and raised in the Midwest with immaculate BBQ, I was skeptical that San Diego BBQ could be good (no offense I miss you Porky Butts in Omaha, Nebraska... this was the food I had at my wedding...lots of love!). But wow! I was super impressed by their brisket! Prime rib brisket...? Never had heard of her but wow was it so good. It wasn't dry which is easy to do with brisket and it was flavorful. Their BBQ sauce was good. Another amazing thing about Coaster Saloon is they have homemade ranch!!!! :') That was really good with their fries which were also good. The mac n cheese was also incredible. Food was great! Service was also amazing! We had a great server who was friendly and personable. They have lots of cool photos of Belmont Park from years ago as well as an open air concept with lots of seating. There is a big bar as well as lots of tvs inside. The virgin piña colada was probably the worst one I've had. It wasn't a typical white color of a piña colada and wasn't creamy it tasted more like lime citrus. I didn't enjoy it very much. Definitely would come back for the food, but not for the blended drinks. Well done Coaster Saloon!

Parking can be difficult at Belmont normally, but if you're there between 5:00 & 6:00 am there's plenty to be had. This time I had the croissant breakfast sandwich with potatoes. I probably would've ordered pancakes, but I had dental surgery and had limited items I could eat. I ended up taking some of it home, since it was quite a bit of food. Prices are standard fancy tourist area, $20 for an entree. Staff are super friendly, and helpful. There are tons of TVs around the restaurant/bar, so this would be a good place for Padre/NFL/Hockey viewing

We are meeting up with some friends and ask the waitress what sandwiches were good here and she agreed that the fried chicken sandwich was her favorite so most of our party ordered that with a side of drive-thru fries. We happen to come on a night where it was Love Island trivia, it was rather loud and went on for several hours. Nice that they have events like this, but it was definitely very difficult to have a conversation during the game. All of our food came out at once and wow, the fried chicken sandwich really looks like it's worth the money, however it is incredibly dry, mainly breading, and unbelievably crumbly that the sandwich will fall apart before you get halfway through. The saving grace was the fries, essentially better In-n-Out fries. Out of all the places over on Mission Beach this is a pass.
