Upscale sports bar right on the beach! Draft is a solid place to catch a big game after a fun day in Mission. Lots of great appetizers that were great to share and a wide selection of entrees to please an entire group. The service was much faster than we expected even on a busy night. Pretzel bites, wings, and fries made for a great afternoon snack and the meals were delicious too!

I recently visited Draft House for Taylor Swift trivia. We had such a good time! First of all, the views are fantastic! We were able to see the beautiful sunset and obviously the beach/ocean. 10/10! The food was pretty decent, just a tad pricey, but they were having a special .50¢ wings and it was delicious! Also, was so crazy to see that they have a 1lb mozzarella stick lol! My friend got to try it and he said it was good! They have a large selection of drinks, they carry one of my favs which is the Mother Earth so, it was great! The place is HUGE! They have so many tables and sitting areas, we were on a booth and I have to say, it's pretty comfortable. Our service was attentive and fast too. Parking is challenging since it's right on Belmont park.

This is a tough one. My wife and I were looking for a place to take the kids to eat after spending all day at the zoo. We were all pretty hungry. So we went Belmont park and found Draft. Place looked awesome with incredible views of the beach and it was fairly empty. But to our surprise when we tried to get a table the hostess told us that there was a wait list??? Pictures are the empty tables. Seriously, you could see about 10 open tables and they don't take reservations. That was really off putting. So we sat around for 15 minutes until they finally sat us and when they did all those tables were still open. I was also rather disappointed in the beer selection. For a place called draft there were only about 4 premium beer options . On the upside the steak we ordered was pretty good and we got to watch a beautiful sunset. If I was gunna give them the benefit of the doubt I could reason that they were probably short staffed so they were staggering the customer seating. I wish they would have just said that. Or they could have sat us and told us to please be patient. But to be frank, it really felt like the three teen hostesses were acting like conceded immature kids having some fun making people wait. It wasn't a good look having three of them standing around doing nothing either. I hope this place figures out what they're doing wrong. It has tons of potential but the customer service is garbage.

We wandered in on Saturday early afternoon following a nice long walk on the beach after brunch. We were thirsty and found a couple of stools at the bar. College football was playing on all the many TVs. There are an amazing number of beer choices but We felt like Negronis would hit the spot! The bartender said he would check on the supply of Campari. When he came back he was holding 2 perfect Negronis. I tipped him $8! The view is wonderful and the place is very large with no bad seats! I would love to come back here anytime! Have the Negroni!

Great spacious restaurant on the beach. Service was fast! Very cold in winter so dress in layers if seated indoors near the patio.

Stopped by for lunch with coworkers and waited about 18 minutes because they opened at noon. We were greeted and seated right away and ordered drinks too. Food portions were big and i enjoyed my chicken breast cobb salad. The salad was pretty large but the bowl was not. This got messy and items kept falling out. Service was fine everyone enjoyed their meal.

Draft gives casual, beach vibes literally steps from the sand. They have a large bar and indoor / outdoor seating with open garage door type windows looking out to the beach. It's a feel the sand on the floor beach bar. They don't have too many outdoor tables, but the open air feel was fine when sitting inside. We still had great ocean views. They have huge TVs and screens, perfect for sporting events. First impressions were great, as there was a considerable wait just to speak to a hostess and get our name on the list. They had two hostesses, but only one iPad...so only one was useful. It was a longer wait in line to speak to hostess than the actual wait for a table. They said 15 mins and it was ready in 5. Our actual server was good though. Food: The brunch burrito is huge! My husband said it was good, however, the ingredients weren't mixed well so all the egg was on one side. The Chicken club was great and the fries were crispy and seasoned. Kids grilled cheese, french toast, and chicken tenders were all well liked. Drinks: all you can drink mimosas on Saturday for $20 for brunch. Not a bad spot if you're looking for a sit down restaurant on the beach.

My wife organized an event at Draft and they reserved some tables for her at the patio. It was an awesome event and people loved being next to the beach! They also loved the food and service as well. Even though it was super busy because of trivia and wing night, our server Lexi was awesome! She had a great attitude, very friendly and helpful. Everytime a new guest showed up, she was ready to help them in any way. My wife was so happy how the night went. We've eaten here before and always liked the food. We are glad our guest loved it as well. We hope to plan more events here because it was an awesome time. And again, Lexi and the staff helping her were awesome!

Came here for an afternoon birthday lunch and it was awesome! Made a reservation on open table for 5 of us and it was super easy to get our table and they sat us on their patio as soon as we arrived. Very clean and comfortable. Service was quick and everyone was very kind. They were even sweet enough to bring out a dessert + candles despite the windy weather!

Great location on the boardwalk in Pacific Beach! Solid food, wide drink selection, and perfect outdoor seating to end your beach day. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here specifically but it's a great option if you're in the area and looking for a casual beachfront spot. Really enjoyed their fries and Caesar salad. I've been here twice and I will say that service was pretty slow, but server was still super friendly.

Surprise surcharge for Draft beer at "Draft"
    Elliot J.

So "Draft"; we went for the big DRAFT beer selection, over 50 beers "On Draft". Good things to say about Draft, but first a very funny but very annoying thing. There was a Surcharge for "DRAFT Beer" ! So the possible fine print disclosure aside, am I the only one to find it so ultimately ironic that they have a surcharge for ordering the very thing the bar is named for? Just as funny, it costs the bar less per serving for draft beer than bottles. Imagine a Taco shop that sells you a burrito but has a "Taco Surcharge"! Don't you hate hidden charges when you think you were given the price? See https://oag.ca.gov/hiddenfees for example. Otherwise; a good time was had, made great new friend (Hi Bear the Rottie), service at the bar was great, it is clean, well decorated, and of course has great views of the beautiful Pacific. NFL special for the apps was a good price. Finally Another disappointment for me, with over 50 draft beers only 2-3 imports (counting Stella). Some lovely local small brews, but I was really hoping for a couple of great English or German beers at least.

Decorated so well for the holidays and the drinks come out so festive and cute. Everything was great, only thing is they were obviously very busy. We def would have ordered a second round of drinks - including water, but our server didn't come back until the end of the meal. So glad we had reservations, not sure we would have been able to get in otherwise. Great stop always but especially fun for the Christmas decor

My boyfriend and I stopped in on a Sunday around 5pm for some food. The restaurant has a lovely view of the beach and even though we sat inside, we had a great view from our table as the sun was setting. It was a game day, so we got their game day special: $10 carnitas nachos and shrimp ceviche. The nachos were awesome, but the ceviche was just okay. We also each got a pickle beer and made it into a michelada for $3 more dollars and it was really great. The service was fast even though the place was crowded. It was a great place to spend an early evening in San Diego!

Mahi burger was absolutely fantastic, perfectly cooked, moist, bun fantastic too, well executed, would order again.chef's kiss.

Can kids attend the miracle at Christmas event like a 7 year old?

Yes. There was no ID checks when we went and there were a couple strollers with babies inside the building.

What tf is a "Draft Surcharge"?? It's a rhetorical question as this business added a 5% fee to your food / alcohol bill.

If you have large party they may charge a surcharge for accommodating. If it's a small party- no clue. I haven't got a surcharge there but my party is always small.

    What days/times is happy hour?

Hello , do you know if you need reservations on a Sunday?

    no you do not :)

Are there TVs in the dining room showing UFC?

    Yes

Is there happy hour? Food and/or Drinks specials?

Yes, I believe it was half price off all appetizers and a few drink specials! Excellent happy hour spot

Is this a good place to watch UFC?

There is at least 20 TVs and an entire wall that is a 40 foot TV. And you can't look in any direction without seeing a TV. The draft lines are dirty AF. But other than that I would think this is a good place to watch.

Great recommendations, super genuine and fun, had the best energy and was CONSTANTLY checking in on us; however, a couple of the other workers could have been a little bit more open with communication. We were sitting against the window at the high top wraparound bar tables (feels like an extension of the bar), so the bar is easy to order from and was our go to as soon as we arrived. The bartender took our order, but was standoffish as if we were doing something foreign or a big "no no". One drink had a girl feeling tipsy. We ordered from the late-night "midnight Bites" menu, which was the only thing we could choose from at the hour of our visit. Everything we selected was really good. Wed got the Frito Pie ($12), Chicken thigh tenders ($7), and Tots ($7). The frito pie presentation was my second favorite part (after the bear glass drink), It came in a all-clad style bowl with the chip bag cut open inside, loaded with Texas-style chilli, melted nacho cheese, and shredded cheese. It was so good I even started adding tots in there too. The tots and Thigh tenders had the perfect crisp! They have sweet and sour chili sauce for dipping with the chicken which was fab! The retro decor made the place even better. I loved seeing the old Blockbuster VHS tapes and music cassettes displayed around the bar. My little eye also spot the Dallas Cowboys flag! Texas energy is definitely in the house. There's also a small arcade area in the back, and my eyes instantly lit up seeing PAC-Man. We didn't get to fully explore the game room because we were trying to make it to Ghirardelli Ice cream & Chocolate shop for dessert before they closed at midnight too. Thankfully everything worked out perfectly since our car was parked right in front of Ghirardelli. NO military discount was honored here even though the owner is a veteran, but overall I still had a really good experience and would definitely come back whenever I'm in the Gaslamp district in SD, Cali. When I entered the restaurant around 7:00 PM, I was stopped and questioned extensively by security regarding my service animal. Rather than being asked the limited ADA-compliant questions permitted by law, the interaction became prolonged and uncomfortable while staff repeatedly attempted to determine whether my dog was a "real" service animal or simply an emotional support animal. I remained waiting at the entrance while this was repeatedly discussed back and forth. What made the situation especially humiliating was that another patron openly laughed at me during the interaction while walking outside for a cigarette. I later realized this same patron had her own dog inside the establishment in a stroller the entire time. Staff members appeared very familiar and comfortable with her, and multiple employees, including my waitress- referred to her as a "regular." Although her dog was eventually moved to the patio area, the contrast in how the situations were handled made me feel singled out, embarrassed, and unfairly scrutinized. I later spoke with management in hopes of resolving the matter respectfully. During that conversation, I was surprised and concerned to hear that neither management nor staff were familiar with psychiatric service animals or their protections under the ADA. Psychiatric service animals are legally recognized service animals when trained to perform disability-related tasks, and this lack of awareness was deeply concerning, especially in a city like San Diego with a large disabled and veteran community. I fully understand that businesses are allowed to ask limited ADA-compliant questions regarding service animals, and I also understand that many establishments have dealt with individuals falsely claiming pets as service animals. However, there is a significant difference between appropriately verifying a service animal and making a disabled customer feel publicly interrogated and humiliated. The overall handling of this interaction lacked professionalism, sensitivity, and basic understanding of ADA service animal protections. No customer should feel mocked, scrutinized, or publicly embarrassed simply for entering a restaurant with a legitimate service animal. I sincerely hope this situation can serve as an opportunity for additional ADA education and proper service animal training for staff moving forward so that other disabled guests do not experience similar treatment. I would appreciate being informed of any steps the restaurant intends to take regarding ADA compliance and staff training before I determine how I would like to proceed further. Thank you for your time and attention.

The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. The burgers are truly out of this world--juicy, flavorful, and expertly crafted to ensure a warp-speed experience with every bite. You'll find that each dish is prepared with precision, as if overseen by a skilled chef with the abilities of a Vulcan and the passion of a true culinary Starfleet officer. In conclusion, Nicky Rottens is a prime destination for anyone seeking a vibrant atmosphere, stunning views, and a solid meal. I can confidently say that if you ever find yourself in Coronado, this establishment is a must-visit. After all, it's just one small step for man, and one giant leap into deliciousness! Got a paloma and the flavor was more intense than I expected, but it was pretty good…read more Tater tots are nice and crispy, great texture. Aside from that, they're generic normal tasting tater tots. For the burger, I liked the bun and other ingredients, but thought the savoriness of the meat was just okay. Also, can't say I'm a huge fan of the tiny lettuce whenever I see it. Overall, this joint is not bad, but I can think of very little about it that stands out. I don't feel that it fully leans into being a sports bar or dive bar or even as a burger joint. It's just.....a bar. Apparently, it prides itself as being an original coronado spot, but I didn't get that kinda vibe here. I don't know.
