Outstanding breakfast in Pismo! Awesome sausage and gravy burrito and their fresh salsa goes great with the burrito.

We stayed at Pismo Beach for a little vacation and came here for breakfast. We ate at 3 different restaurants in this area, and this was by far our favorite spot. If we are ever back here, we will definitely stop by here. After consuming donuts and coffee, we ordered the Pismo Pier to share. The portion was large and we had plenty to eat. Personally, I am not a big fan of biscuit and gravy, but this was actually very tasty! Try it out! read more

I'm not sure how long this place has been here in Pismo Beach but I'm guessing it's fairly new. I come here often and never hear or seen it during my many searches of new and tasty places to eat. I had a breakfast burrito with chorizo which was better than I expected it to be. The biscuits and gravy are really good. This place is so tasty -- I would recommend this to anyone who comes to Pismo Beach. We came on a Friday morning to order some breakfast. There were a few people dining in the outside patio space, but otherwise was fairly quiet when we arrived. We ordered the Pirates Cove Biscuits & Gravy, Tsunami Burrito, and 3 Biscuits with Jam. They do charge for the jam which I thought was strange. Everything tasted fantastic! They definitely smother the biscuits with gravy in the Pirates Cove which was great. Everything tasted fantastic. One thing I would recommend is ordering ahead - We had about a 20 minute wait for our order even thought there wasn't anyone else waiting. It just felt like a long time to wait with no one else in line. Parking seemed easy - They have 3 spots designated for the restaurant and plenty of street parking right out front. read more

We ordered the Portuguese Burrito, Toes in the Sand and Sand Dollar. I don't understand the hype for this place and it seems to be always packed. We ordered to go and it took almost an hour to get our two orders. My biscuits and gravy with eggs was just ok. Huge! The paper box is very soggy from the gravy - needs a sturdier box 3. Although I love the biscuits and gravy together, I also like the honey butter and biscuit together - but not all 3 together. So when I added a 3rd biscuit to my order, I wanted it separate for the butter but it was mixed with the gravy. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but a few things put me off. Don't come here on a Sunday or weekend morning unless you are prepared to wait over an hour for your food. I'm not talking about waiting in line to place your order. That is an additional 15-20 minutes. Luckily 2 party left the line so it shortened our wait in line. I even tried calling a few times before heading over, but no one picked up the phone. One thing I would recommend is to try calling or place your order online. I don't understand why it would take 15-20 minutes to put in our order when there was about 4 groups in front of us. When we finally got to the front, it only took us about 2 minutes to put in our order. The 1 hour plus wait for our food was unacceptable. Especially when we just ordered the Pirates Cove and Beachin Sammie. As for the food, the biscuit was pretty good. It was light, fluffy and buttery. The sausage gravy was good, but a little bit bland. I do like the consistency of the gravy though. Not too thick, not too runny. But when I added the Cholula, it made it much better. The hot sauce cut through the fat of this dish. The bacon strip add ons was not crispy and just ordinary. The high marks this place is receiving is not warranted IMO. I don't think the food here is to die for. It is good, but not worth the wait or price they charge for it. read more

First of all let me say, the rest of my group were very pleased with their meals. Son got tsunami burrito---loved it! Daughter in law got eggs m bacon---pleased. Hubby got the bacon, eggs, potatoes, biscuit n gravy---loved it. I got the burrito with bacon, eggs, potatoes. It was awful. Eggs not fully cooked---no taste. I took half home. My husband wouldn't eat it, either. Threw it away. I guess I just ordered the wrong thing. read more

Popped in this morning to try it out. Ordered the Boogie Board burrito. The cashier, who was friendly and awesome, asked if I wanted to add meats or anything. I added the pepper/onion blend and avocado. Sat down on their outside patio, it was a little chilly in town morning but they had heaters going so it was a nice and comfy atmosphere. My name was called quickly and the food is top notch. The burrito was one of the best I've had in the area, hands down. And it was huge! I have some leftovers :) They're reasonably priced, especially for the area. Definitely coming back again! read more

WOW!!! Parking is super easy and there was no meter parking so that makes it convenient. With everything going on with the Covid they have it under control, you can order takeout or call to place an order as they do not offer online ordering. The wait time is a little long but worth every second. I ordered the biscuit with egg made over medium, cheese and sausage. We also had a breakfast burrito which had the potatoes, eggs and sausage inside. Hands down the burrito was the best I've ever had. It was large, moist and the flavors complimented each other. The breakfast biscuit was very good as well but the biscuit took over the inside of the sandwich so be prepared. The homemade salsa, and coffee were amazing! Highly recommend this place. read more

We enjoyed this place!! Other than Grandma's southern kitchen, you won't find biscuits like these anywhere! My husband gives the gravy (with biscuit!) 5 stars! I loved my biscuit with homemade honey butter. Coffee was so-so. We got ours to-go. Glad we did because the tables on their patio were super close together not 6 ft apart at all. Stopped by here on our way out of town, and they certainly did not disappoint! There's plenty of parking around the shop, and a few outdoor seating tables. We got a couple of baskets with jam and butter, as well as an omelette sandwich. The biscuits were hearty and filling. The gravy is severely under seasoned and sweet, definitely the worst gravy I've ever had. The breakfast burrito had about an entire stick of butter melted inside and all over the outside, it was an actual butter sponge, disgusting. The first breakfast burrito I threw away instead of eating. Also, they do not provide customers with water, you have to buy a bottle of cheap purified water if you want water; have to say that's the first time I've ever encountered that at any restaurant. I am very confused how this place has so many good reviews... odd. I would advise to go elsewhere for edible good food. read more

During Covid, they have outdoor seating, but tables are very close together. Be prepared to wait for your food. They give fair warning by posting the wait time by the window, but it was an underestimate for us and food does take a while. Low tide - I loved this. The biscuit is tall, tender, and fluffy. The eggs had cheese melted on top (yum!), and with a dash of cholula this is the breakfast of my dreams Breakfast burrito - I hope you are hungry. This is massive and I love how they griddle the burrito so the tortilla gets nice and golden. Delicious. Unfortunately our party all got their food after about 30mins, but ours took more like 45mins.. much longer than the estimate. Hopefully they can figure that out. read more

Unfortunately the food just wasn't to my liking. Biscuit (ok) and sausage gravy didn't seem balanced to me due to being too salty and too much pepper. Felt like crap (due to the fat) and it didn't taste good (makes you feel even worse when eating something unhealthy). The potatoes were inedible due to the saltiness (had to throw them away). Eggs/bacon were fine. Preferred Jimmy Dean sausage over this sausage. Most likely this just didn't match my palette (but the entire family wasn't digging the food). Zorro's down the street is magnitudes better. Even the biscuit and gravy was more enjoyable at Zorro's. I don't recommend you to waste your calories.. read more

Sanddollar is the best, I love the in house mad apple butter and strawberry jelly. Everytime my family visits Pismo beach there is 3 places that are a must go to every time. Splash cafe for there chowder, pismo beach cinnamon roll and now beachin biscuit. Delicious! One of my favorite spots to visit when I am in Pismo. Pros: Place was very clean Biscuits are fresh and hot! I ordered the "Totally beachin Sammie" and added bacon.. it was sooo good! My husband ordered the "boogie board breakfast burritos" and loved it! Cons: A little pricy especially since they charge for meats. Coffee was pricy for the amount given and the flavor was artificial, almost has if they had put too much flavored syrup. Next time I would order a black coffee. My biscuit was dry and hard. And it was in gravy!! Even the ice latte was horrible, but when your thirsty! maybe if you come earlier? I got here when it was 3 0 minutes from closing. So maybe? Words CANNOT describe how delicious this place was. I thought it was a little pricey, but didn't care when I sunk my teeth into my Pismo pier entree!! Our party of three all got the same item!! I think I couldn't split this with my kids as it was a bit too much food, but it was seasoned perfectly, the right temp and absolutely delicious. I think there are about 7 outdoor tables and luckily, we made it before the 9:30an crowd in a Wednesday morning. It was packed by the time we left.
