Decided to give this place a try while in Peekskill this morning and so glad I did. I never get to try daytime food in Peekskill since I work in the city during the week and on weekends mostly eat in or locally (Yorktown) anyway, my daughter and I stopped in and chose to eat outside. Perfect day sun above us with a nice cool breeze. I had a caramel latte, she had juice. My latte was perfect and they serve in coffee mugs that make you feel like your home not just a diner like coffee mug. I had the Greek Omelette which was soooo good and my daughter had the Veggie Omelette also very good. The home fries for me were good but I like mine cooked more crispy and I had forgotten to ask for salt and pepper which probably would have made it more seasoned which was a bit lacking for me but my daughter said hers were perfect. Overall still will be back again as the friendly staff and yummy food made this to my newest breakfast stops worth my 15 min drive.

An absolutely terrific time at the Bean Runner cafe last night. They had a classic Salsa band playing on the street in front of the cafe and a nice crowd of guests dancing and having a great time. Peekskill is an old town that has developed a very nice group of breweries and restaurants around the town and quite a nice crowd of young people moving in to the beautiful lofts that are developed from the great old architecture found throughout. The bean runner offers great service and cold beer. The food and drinks are ok but they do offer a good collection of wines and beer. They have a beautiful collection of art work throughout the restaurant but the best part was the entertainment which was fantastic!

First time and we loved it, I had the Lobster Bisque soup and it was just delishhhhh wished it came with the crackers and I also had the Cross Country wrap (Chicken, guacamole, grilled and peppers, cheddar cheese, salsa, sour cream & lettuce on a spinach wrap) and OMG my mouth just danced with joy. It did take a lille longer to get our food, but the wait was worth it. Now let's talk about inside, I love how they support local artist as they have their paintings displayed on their walls and you can purchase them right there on the spot. Plenty of seating (inside and out), very clean and loved their homemade lemonade. Will stop by again when we are up in Peekskill. There is street parking near by and lots and lots of great stores near by as well. Do check out the Third Eye Arts Studio and Gallery next door.

I really liked this place's cozy, small town, coffee shop atmosphere. It's the type of place the Gilmore Girls would get a cup of coffee. The outdoor seating makes makes you feel like you're in a place that isn't Peekskill, no offense to Peekskill. The food menu is comparable to a diner. I had a nice bacon egg and cheese and the pancakes were also good. The service was also really friendly. I'll definitely be stopping back in.

Found this place on accident. It's a really cute casual cafe and dine in restaurant! Coffees brewed hot, and their smoothies taste very natural. Gluten free options are a good variety. Two thumbs up from both parties!!

The menu is a bit limited, but what we had was good -- sort of shared antipasto as opposed to having a big meal. The service was wonderful -- and the place attracts a wonderful crowd; good folks who enjoy good music and being together. I can't wait to go back!

Friday and Saturday evenings tickets range $25 (students) to $35 (adults). Sets are basically at 7pm and 9pm. On Sundays they feature smooth Brazilian Jazz and/or Samba sets at 4pm or 6pm, tickets range $15 (students) to $20 (adults). We have had the pleasure to see performances by Ravi Coltrane and his quartet, Renee Rosnes quartet, Bill Charlap, Joey Francesco, Joe Farnsworth, Eric Alexander, and a few others. A small menu consists of: cocktails, wines and beer, plus various appetizers, a few entrees at an added cost. The room has many small tables, and a few high tops for seating. Owners, Ellen and Mark have put their hearts into the venue through the years. They are often present, with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Jazz Forum also has educational Jazz programs for children available on their website. Jazz Forum is a perfect venue to enjoy some awesome talent in the Westchester area! Donations are welcome. Kinda wild that I didn't write a review the last time I was in this jazz joint…read more Last time I popped into the 2am show and it blew my sox off. I saw Miki Yamanaka randomly for the 1st time. But apparently i missed writing a review. Maybe because there are many glowing reviews already. But may I put my 5 star review on the pile. This time we caught the 2pm Sunday open jam. We were smartly near the front of the line so we got my favorite spot, right on the bar rail near the stage. The drinks were good and strong, the service was quick and succinct. The jam was incredible. I didn't know all the guys but the guy on drums is a legend named muppet. He held back on his solos on the first 2 songs. On the third, when the baton was passed to him, he ripped off an impressive solo that would be amazing for anyone, and he is 93. We had to dip out to catch our flight, but cant wait to stop in again next time.

Still, this was enough to get a good feel of what the club is all about. Just standing in line we got to talk to a musician, who had just played at another location, but told us the people playing there that day were amazing, including the 91-year-old drummer "Muppet". We went during the day so no cover charge, but think they do at later hours. We got some spots at the bar, knowing we would not be able to stay long. From any seat you are able to enjoy the whole atmosphere and set. They had one server and one bartender, and I honestly thought at first they would be scrambling with all the drink orders but the way they worked, quickly and still being personable with each guest was impressive. The band playing was great, we stayed a bit more than we should have because of how good they were. Very intimate, chill way to spend time enjoying live music. The only reason I took one star off is the restroom situation. I went down hoping I could use the facilities but the mold smell and other strong smell made me sick and I had to run out. Just make sure you go before you are inside or hold it. Apart from that, very intimate, chill way to spend time enjoying live music.
