Third time visiting this place and it never fails. My quesadilla was amazing and my husband burrito was just perfect and big, very big. We also had a Mulita which now has become my favorite. This is the first taco truck I've hit since the mask mandate lifted. I've come here a couple times about a year ago and I completely forgot about it... I stay in LA where taco stands and trucks are on every block. I can say without any hesitation that Beans & Limes is by far the best Mexican food I've had in the valley, and is on par if not better than the best trucks in LA. Most taco spots use fatty meats that are low quality but they cover it up with lots of marinade and seasoning.. not at Beans & Limes!! Also, the owner is the guy who took my order every time. He is an extremely amicable guy and a good dude, you can just pick up on the energy. But lemme get into my most recent order (actually I ordered the same thing twice in 1 week lol) Poblano Burrito ($11.90) -HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Ordered without beans and sauce on the side with asada. They grill the burrito so it has a bombass crunch to it. The asada is not like the taco spots you may be used to- they use high quality beef, NO fat, NO stringy parts, almost like a thin skirtsteak that's been slow cooked. Literally EVERY piece of meat had the perfect amount of bite to it and since they use good quality meat, the meat taste shines thru without having to drench each bite with sauce. The poblano pepper inside is slightly charred and is not skimpy. It's in every bite and just adds this next level of flavor that I would buy EVERY DAMN DAY. And... the burrito is BIG. It is literally twice the size of an El Taurino or King Taco burrito; well worth the price, you can cut it in half, buy two of their Mexican corn in a cup (esquites), and two people can eat and be satisfied. Esquites ($3.90) - HIGHLY RECOMMEND - I live in LA so I always see the Mexican corn carts everywhere. Yes they charge anywhere from $1.50 to $2.00, but at Beans & Limes, they do not skimp on the essentials! The corn does not seem to be from a can! It has a bite that only fresh corn cut would have. They generously top it with the cheese, mayo, butter, and the spice. Plus, its in a good sized cup so you can eat it without dripping butter and mayo everywhere and having corn stuck between your teeth! Large Handmade Tortilla Taco ($3.25) - I'm a sucker for any taco spot that makes their own tortilla; I specifically seek out taco spots that have handmade tortillas. This taco does not disappoint. For one, the tortilla is LARGE just as advertised. It's almost like two street taco sizes in one. And of course, the toppings and meat are all excellent as usual. I ordered this with Pastor; I am not of Mexican descent but my closest friends are Mexican/Salvi/etc so I know good pastor.. Two spots come to mind- Leo's Taco Truck in MidCity and a very lowkey taco truck on 8th and Ardmore in Koreatown. Both spots have skewers with the pineapple and their pastor is charred and excellent- but the pastor at Beans & Limes is on a different level. As with the Asada, the Pastor seems to be from a different cut of pork. It's almost like a very thin fajitas or skirt steak version of pork. The meat is not chopped into tiny pieces- I was kind of worried it would be stringy or too chewy... but nope, has a great bite to it with no unnecessary fat, has great flavor, and even with the big pieces the meat is super tender. Half Bowl of Beans and Rice ($3.00) - I usually do not like beans, but I saw a picture of how they serve it; a bowl is half Mexican rice half pinto beans.. topped with cojita cheese, onions, sour cream, etc. I know beans and rice are a VERY inexpensive dish with huge profit margins- but I still ordered it... and I am very glad I did. The toppings really made the dish. If it was just beans and rice for $3.00/half bowl, I would've probably asked for a refund. The toppings worked perfectly and this with one of their Large tacos in itself would suffice as a meal- pretty much a deconstructed burrito. CONCLUSION - If you've been disappointed by all the taco trucks that have saturated the valley, do yourself a favor and get yo ass over here ASAP. Yes, their prices might be a few dollars more expensive.. but the quality and quantity more than make up for it. Most taco spots FAIL HORRIBLY with their "sauces"; I guess they want to cut corners and save money so they water it down until its like green or red water... (that is another way to tell if a taco spot cares about the food they put out). Beans & Limes have two sauces, and both are NOT watered down. They are thick as they should be, and also have a very nice kick to them. The owner obviously takes pride in the food they put out and the quality of the ingredients they use. Both times, I got home and opened the containers and EACH DISH LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HOW IT LOOKS ON THEIR PICTURE MENU! No menu catfishing here! We haven't been to the truck it's self but we've order from DoorDash several times now. You would imagine that after some order the food quality but drop, but that's not that case here. Every time we order food from here the burritos are big and stuffed. The meet taste great and it's always well cooked. They give you enough food to get filled up and be satisfied. Probably some of the best, freshest, cleanest street food I've ever had. Customer service is great, presentation, and pricing is great. I bought tacos de asada, which were made out of hand made tortillas. The meat is lightly seasoned and cooked to perfection. My husband ordered a torta de chorizo which was very well put together, the meat tasted amazing and wasn't greasy at all. I got a quesadilla for the little ones which Is big enough for 2 little ones to share. The quesadillas come with 4 different kinds of cheese, a scoop guacamole and crema drizzled on top. I got the chance to taste a little bit of everything we ordered and it all tasted just as clean and fresh as the last. This owner says he has 200-250 tickets yet this truck never has a line. Writing "lol" doesn't deflect from the fact that actually TWO reviews here have found HAIR in their TASTELESS food or changes the fact that actually quite a few people have also had really negative experiences with this truck and this owner. This business is one you'd find on Kitchen Nightmares, in my opinion. Go across the street and there's better and more deserving businesses. I will make it a point to dissuade everyone I know from being a patron of this poor excuse for Mexican food. Sad Pablito's doesn't have this corner anymore. Instead we have this eye sore with 70s branding and barely palatable "food." UPDATE: Why would anyone want free food from a truck that serves food that I wouldn't even give to a dog? I'm making it a point to share my experience (the point of Yelp) so we can all save $11 and support a more deserving owner. Nice work team! You're definitely onto something but I think you can do better. First off, have you ever heard the saying; if you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk? The gentleman taking the orders exudes a level of confidence in the menu that is mismatched for the level of flavor being produced here. Food quality is good but flavor is lacking. I recommend you reassess your use of salt almost unilaterally across the board. Guacamole was flat, needs more flavor (salt). Carne Asada was also flat, needs more flavor (salt). Green and Red salsas are appetizing yet they also come up flat. Try using an air fryer to keep your fries tasting fresh when it comes time to serve them after they've been sitting for awhile. Corn should be roasted and have some char (black color). I can tell that you love what you do and I can imagine you will only improve as time goes on. I appreciate the opportunity to have somewhere to go for late night Mexican food. You have a beautiful truck and I really appreciate how you keep your area clean and tidy (sweeping). This place is OK. Located in the parking lot of a gas station on the corner of Sherman Way and Sepulveda they are convenient. There's better and cheaper food elsewhere though if you have a Mexican craving. I had two different quesadillas, and a burrito. The pastor was...meh. The asada also meh. Their sauces also lacking. I had to use hot sauce from another place to make it edible. Wouldn't go back but if I was starving and it was free I would eat it. They provide convenient ordering through the Yelp app, but I ordered way ahead like 20 minutes or so and there was no line so they weren't busy when I arrived and my food was still not ready. Wait for Pablitos to be at this very same location on a Tuesday when they offer $1 taco Tuesday, they're much better. read more

Great house burrito!!! It is actually very large and the asada tastes like home cooked steak. It is actually very juicy and the hot sauce is a bit spicy, but fits perfectly with the food. I also got the quesadilla. I'd say top two in my burrito houses. It is in a food truck and the owner seems to really work hard to keep it up and do well. Ordered yesterday via Postmates around 930pm-10ish and so happy to find this place. I had1 carnitas Mulitas for the first time and was in heaven. As soon as I tasted it I wish I ordered another lol. I also had 1 order of Al pastor sopes which were the bomb. Great portions of meat as I took my first bite it was so much that some falls off which I really appreciated! After that I was too full to take a bite of my poblano burrito so it's in the fridge for lunch today, it's huge fyi. I also got some of their house salsa, both were good but I liked the red more then green. I added this place to my favorites and highly recommend it.
