a menu for a mexican food truck
    Asia C.

Honestly this was exactly what I needed. On a Friday night you can find this food truck on the street of the petco parking lot. This gives you plenty of spades to park at. It's amongst some other good food trucks. I got here 30 minutes before close so I'm glad they were still cooking. Ordered: regular beef tacos with the soup on the side. It came out to only $10 which was a great deal honestly. I thought the tacos were pretty tasty and hit the spot. The soup was so flavorful. I'd definitely come back to try other stuff!

    Quick and friendly service!

I always pass by this truck on my way to the gym and one day, I figured that it would be okay to try it once and then go hard with the workout later in the week. I parked at a lot adjacent to food truck and saw that the line was moving fast. I scoped out the menu for awhile since it had been a long time since I tried this type of dish. I decided to order the tacos with cheese and a burrito too to see how consistent they were across their items. I have to say that I actually had to wait to get home before giving it a try because it would have been messy and greasy in the car. I needed a plate and more space in case the food would get all over the place. These were different, yet so delicious! I recommend this spot if you have not tried it yet!

Piece of glass that was in the taco!

Was one of my favorite taco spots till today it became a nightmare I went to get the taco tuesday deal I got 6 tacos with onion and cilantro when I got my tacos they had no onions or cilantro and there was a piece of glass in my taco that is insane be careful ordering from here! Was trying to get in contact with manager/owner but seems to be no way to reach them.

    Taco de birria and quesataco

Their most popular item on the menu is their quesataco estilo Tijuana. I ordered the quesataco and a regular taco de birria along with their consommé. This is the first taco truck in my life that hands you salt packets with your tacos. It gives you an indication that you're going to need it. I took one bite out of each taco and both were bland. You'll definitely need salt packets for their tacos. Or you'll need to dip them in their consommé. What they excel here is their consommé "con todo" with heaping amounts of birria de res. My suggestion as is you come for the consommé and ask for tortillas on the side. It's a good option in the area but it definitely isn't the best.

    Try these guys.

Flavor is basic. Seems high on the oily side. You can tell right away from their consome. I've had MUCH better birria in other places around the city. Even Red's tacos are better. Their birria seems very dry also. I wouldn't recommend it. Try h the birria on PCH & Figueroa (Harbor City). It's called Hijos De Villa. That's top notch birria my friends.

My favorite taco truck in the area. I've had the quesatacos, the quesadilla, and the tacos of course. I love that they are generous with the amount of meat they put in them. Always hits the spot.

This Taco Trunk is amazing! Great find as I wanted to grab some birria tacos and wanted Teddys Red Tacos but came across this place and absolutely loved it! I had two tacos dorado and they had so much meat! The salsa is spicy but great tasting and the consume has so much flavor! They are quick and made to order so you know you will have fresh tacos each time. The only thing is that there is no dinning area so you must eat in your car or on the side- but regardless this is a good taco fix!

Delicious, fresh made to order food. My tacos were standout all star quality! The salsa nice and spicy.

Heard about them from facebook on "Pero Like" and ever since i knew i had to try them!! It was a bit confusing to get to but thankfully "janett" and "chuy" patiently helped me with the directions till i FINALLY got there Thank you guys for the great service‼‼ Quick and full to expectations tacos and consome FULL of meat! And tasteful(a bit dry but thats why you must get consome) --- BE CAREFUL WITH THE SALSA!!! it is spicy ‼‼‼

They had no signs or menu posted on what they offer or prices except for this https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrieria-villalobos-los-angeles-2?select=bnCtWewHd10lhCpeRPZimw&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg Villalobos is not on the same level as Teddy's or La Unica, for a lover of Birria I'd say above average but nothing to WOW you here. Consome con Todo Large ($13.00) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrieria-villalobos-los-angeles-2?select=-Ymranyy7MXnvLTVtL8Raw&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg Birria de Res/Beef, the Consome was clean but I thought lacking a bit in flavor, the shredded beef was lean I found no fat but portion size of actual beef was small for the price https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrieria-villalobos-los-angeles-2?select=dY5Ip-YebCLcxx2JfCim5w&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg the salsa roja was nice and had a kick, tortillas were out of a bag but fresh. 3.5-Stars Quesadilla con Todo ($8.00) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrieria-villalobos-los-angeles-2?select=nqO1bBPOxkGvvVYaV9lPaQ&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg This was packed with meat but for a Quesadilla it lacked CHEESE.... Which made the flour tortilla very soggy and fell apart while eating https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrieria-villalobos-los-angeles-2?select=YjAtzsBCJ4h-defTTRzE9g&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg needed to finish off using a fork. 3-Stars Taco Dorado con Todo ($2.35) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/birrieria-villalobos-los-angeles-2?select=YjAtzsBCJ4h-defTTRzE9g&userid=mXl8GMozjLoraG7PyFHWkg Tacos are a bit on the smaller side like 2 bites, I liked how the tortilla was lightly crisp, just wish it had more meat. 3-Stars Not the best Birria in NELA, but I'd come back for tacos if they had no lines......

I went to the Sepulveda location. Is very easy to park. Delicious tacos and mulitas. Tasty and flavored. We wait for about 15 minutes. Highly recommended.

Had a quesi taco and a quesi Dorado taco. These didn't travel too well and considering there's nowhere to eat there, you're obviously getting them to go. They tasted fine but nothing more. If I were to go back I think I'd get a Burris quesadilla instead.

    The Jamaica is bomb too!!

Birria ramen was very flavorful and warm for the chilly night. Quesadilla was good. The salsa was ok, not my favorite.

We ordered #14 tostaditas w/ asada, #6 tacos doritos w/ birria, and asada quesadilla. We absolutely loved how crispy the tostadas and tacos doritos were. The meat was tasty and tender! The birria concomé was so delicious! So nice that they had three long tables to sit at. Made the experience that much more welcoming. I will definitely be back.

Unfortunately.....ended up disappointing…read more Here is why: I've been to quite a few tacos spots. I've been trying to try this one because I saw the hype on social media (maybe I was expecting them to live.up to that hype) Tacos - 2 stars: there was flavor in the asada and al pastor but the tortillas were small and kinda of hard. They may have left them on the grill too long. Im used to the nice soft delicious tortillas. Guacamole was ok Prices - 2 stars: spent $41 for 8 tacos and 2 senorials. They are over priced and portions are very small. I could have gotten more for my buck somewhere else for example: tacos el venado on sepulveda. They are really good. Angels tacos on sherman way (they have home made tortillas and their tacos are twice as big Over all, disappointing. Would I come back again? Not even if I was starving. But try then for yourself, you may have a different opinion. I have certainly have had better.

So, the truck is owned by a guy named Herb hence the name ... Havana Herbs. isn't that amazing? LOL. He is super nice and will take time to explain stuff to you if you need some more information. The Cubana sandwich that i got was ... okay i guess. I wish it had cheese. You always get this picture of Cubana sandwiches with melty cheese and there was none in the one that I had. So I was a little bit disappointed. The meat was good, there were 2 kinds. not sure what exactly what the 2nd one was but there was ham for sure. I did like that my order automatically came with Mariquitas (fried plantain chips) That being said, I did not grow up eating Cubana sandwiches and don't know what the hell I'm talking about so If any of you people who grew up eating this can tell me otherwise, please do, i would be happy to get the education. The truck does not have the plates, only sandwiches. In my opinion, you might be better off driving or walking another mile to Versailles, down (up?) the road, you would have more choices and maybe a better experience. But anyway, don't let a stupid "yelper" like me prevent you from trying it out, this is just my opinion, you might have another one! Save the whales, promote world peace. Hug and love one another.
