3 topping pepperoni, sausage and pineapple pizza

I visited the Bear Claw Bakery in Pine Mountain Club yesterday and I had an amazing experience. The worker was so polite and she logged into the wifi for me. My fiance and I ordered the medium 3 topping pizza with 2 sodas special for $16.99 plus tax. This was a fundraiser for the Peak to Peak Charter School. We had the pepperoni, sausage and pineapple pizza. The pizza was cooked perfectly, pineapple was just right and the crust was crispy and tasty. I would definitely try again in the future.

This bakery is a favorite spot to visit when coming to Pine Mountain Club. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and happy. You truly feel they enjoy what they do and know customers by their faces and names. We only come up to Pine Mountain Club two or three time a year but they always remember us. In addition the food and pastries are delicious. I love to get the Cappuccino muffin and my husband really enjoys their empanadas. We just go their breakfast sandwich with everything and loved it. It was delicious. They have a few tables outside with umbrellas and a birds nest that made its home in one of the umbrellas. A very friendly gentleman plays violin to a track outside and sets the vibe of a cafe. This bakery is more than a bakery, it's become a little cafe. I love this gem!

Such an absolute GEM!! Not only would I say to stop here if you're in the area, but I would say make a point to go here! I splurged and bought several things so I could try them all. Everything was delicious!! And the COFFEE!!!! I'm coming back just for that! (I had a caramel latte). The almond bear claw was my favorite, but we loved everything. The sweet owners are the cherry on top. I love supporting small businesses and definitely recommend Bear Claw Bakery. It's an adorable mountain bakery that'll you'll be craving too. Love "Dave" & her daughter :)

Empanadas ALWAYS ask for the chimichurri sauce!!

Like family! Everything is delicious! My faves are the pizzas, empanadas, and orange-cranberry muffins! But DEFINITELY treat yourself to a cinnamon roll!!!

Yes, we do we do pizza gluten free, and chocolate mini cakes.

There were people playing pool in the back bar / lounge area and some sitting at the higher bar stool type tables just enjoying conversations. My fiancé even got a fish taco because he really loved those at the other location and he really enjoyed that as well! Lori was so sweet and brought us a bowl of warm water and lemon to wash our hands after the sticky wings and that was so thoughtful and much appreciated! The atmosphere felt warm, lively, and welcoming in a way that made it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. The food there tasted genuinely good to me, and every dish had the kind of flavor that makes you slow down and appreciate what you're eating instead of rushing through it. I liked how comfortable everything felt, and I appreciated that I could enjoy my time without feeling pressured or hurried. I noticed a lot of teenagers at this location, which made sense because the place has a fun, friendly vibe that younger people would enjoy a lot. Seeing them there made me realize how much teenagers would love spending time at The Perch, especially since it gives them a spot where they can eat good food, talk, laugh, and feel like they belong. Even though this restaurant was new to me, I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and settled in. I've only visited The Perch one time in my life before writing this review, but that one visit was enough for me to understand why people speak so positively about it. It's one of the most comfortable and enjoyable restaurants I've been to in a while, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place to enjoy good food, spend time with friends, and feel part of a lively environment. If you're in Frazier Park and want a spot that feels inviting and fun, The Perch is definitely worth checking out.

For a bit, we were the only ones inside and we placed our order fairly quickly, but it took more than 45 minutes to get our food and then we had to get utensils to eat it. I asked for a Chardonnay and the bartender insisted I should get the Sauvignon Blanc and then he brought me Chardonnay. The flatbread was good but not worth the wait. Again, it appears the locals really enjoy the restaurant/bar. They have open mic night and other entertainment it seems. While I don't go to vacation area restaurants on any timetable, the wait time for food was not good. So this experience was not exactly enjoyable.

I only purchased two items -- one cream puff and one slice of cheesecake -- but the cashier charged my card THREE times due to repeated mistakes. Here's exactly what happened: 1) My first card (Card A) was charged $11.20. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said yes. Then she told me the receipt didn't come out because the transaction "didn't go through," and asked me to provide my card again. 2) I gave the same card again, and this time she charged $11.69. 3) Then again, she told me that it didn't go through, so I used a different debit card (Card B), which was charged $11.20. While sitting at the table with my family, I immediately checked my bank account and thought I had only been charged twice. I spoke to a staff member at the store and requested a refund for one of the $11.20 charges, which was processed. However, today I realized I had actually been charged three times, meaning there was still another $11.20 that needed to be refunded. So I called the bakery and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with someone named Danielle. I calmly explained the entire situation and told her I would send all my receipts and bank transaction records by email so they could double-check and confirm everything. She said ok and gave me their email address, but it was very long, and I was concerned about making a mistake while writing it down. So I politely asked if she could text me the email address instead. Her response was extremely rude -- she said, "I'm not required to do that," and told me to just write it down myself if I had a pen and paper. Although I was already uncomfortable with her attitude, I carefully wrote it down and sent the email. However, the email bounced back as invalid, even though I had confirmed the spelling with her multiple times over the phone. When I called again, Danielle answered and said, "Ma'am," in a very dismissive tone, and told me that they had found the three charges and had already processed refunds for both $11.20 transactions. I tried to confirm which card the refund was going to, since I used two different cards, but after putting me on hold for a long time, she read off a card number that was not mine. When I told her that wasn't my card, she insisted those were the only transactions for $11.20 yesterday and told me to "check my bank in a few days" and call back if the refund doesn't show up. And, she didn't apologize for the mistake, even though they charged my cards three times and wasted a significant amount of my time. Even yesterday, when I asked for an apology, I only received one reluctantly after I pointed out that they had made a mistake -- and even then, the response was dismissive, as if I should just accept it because they were "taking care of it." The attitude throughout this entire situation was rude, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. The cheesecake was very good. But because of this experience, I would never come back. We drove all the way from Los Angeles to Tehachapi with my family, expecting a pleasant visit, but this bakery completely ruined the day. Being charged a total of $34.09 for just two small items due to repeated errors is unacceptable. If your staff cannot properly process payments, they should not be working as cashiers. Situations like this should never happen. What's even worse is that after making multiple mistakes, there was not a single sincere apology -- only attitude, dismissiveness, and instructions for me to keep checking my bank and call back again. My time is valuable. This entire situation could have been avoided if things were handled properly from the beginning. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I am very disappointed. Cf) For reference, the other $16.05 receipt is for bread that my brother purchased.
