Ordered the half salmon half ahi tuna poke bowl and it was really good. Extra side of sauce, perfection. Great outdoor seating too.

Spicy roll with Shrimp Tempura and Ineda (baby yellowtail) super buttery!!

I absolutely loved my experience at the sushi bar! I felt very welcomed and accommodated. I had the spicy roll with Ineda. The baby yellowtail was so buttery. I loved the spicy chili oil and the fish combination. The shrimp tempura adds another layer of smoothness! Overall a very satisfying roll. I was also offered the Tako sashimi. The octopus was creamy and tasted beautiful. I love the soft and chewy combination. I have always had a deep love for octopus. The service is wonderful. I had a very fun experience. It is extremely lively but you are able to get your food very fast and your beer even quicker!

There was a line out the door to order about a 15 minute wait to get to the front to order. After getting to the front to order, I got a variety of tacos ($6.5 ea) of tuna, mahi, wahoo and they came out in about 15 mins. The mahi and wahoo were a bit overcooked and weren't super seasoned. The Tuna poke was the best of the three I had. This felt overhyped for what I had. Food(50%): 6.4 Staff/service(25%): 6.0 Value(25%): 5.0 Overall: 5.9/10

Came here to pick up a meal to eat and enjoy sunset. Very close by the beach but unfortunately there was quite a wait and an even longer wait to pick up the food, especially for any cooked entrees. The place was crowded with dinner rush and felt very beachy with its seating. The cashier was very friendly and helped me order his go to burrito order. We picked up the ahi tuna per pound with chips + the mahi mahi burrito. I felt that the poke was a little fishy and not as fresh as other options in the area. For the price of everything, I most likely won't be back but is decent if you are in the area

A solid place to get poke from in Newport. I'm from the South Bay so I'm a little biased towards jus poke and ali'i but this was a pretty good option here in Newport. I got the ahi poke that came with nacho chips which was pretty good and tasted very fresh. There was also plenty of seating inside and outside. Along with lots of parking in the structure. I think if I'm ever in this area again, I would get this again but still prefer my southbay staples!

The line was pretty long but they were moving pretty fast inside. I got my poke quickly and it was very delicious. I loved that you could add avocado.

Half and half salmon and tuna poke. Guac

Poke was good. Fish sandwich was not. It was not put together well and was just fish and bread. No sauce or anything

Amazing fresh fish. My choice is the SMALL SEAFOOD PLATE* 1/3 pound of choice of fish & 2 sides. The choice of fish depends on the fish caught that day. They usually have a few choices but, my favorite was the Wahoo. Eating here makes you feel like you are making a healthy choice with the fresh fish and sides. They also have a fresh fish market to go so you can take home fish at prepare at home if you want. Appetizers, sushi bar, and rolls also available.

Repeat order on the burrito and always fresh, not a big fan of the poke bowl though this time. Too bland. Have had much better other places. Generally ok food, nothing too crazy worth waiting in a long line. I've had other items at other visits and feel the same about most the menu. Dude taking the order could have been be a little more helpful at the front on this visit.

What a cute place. It can get pretty packed here. Some indoor seating & a lot more on the patio. Order at front register & they bring you your food. The dynamite sushi roll was perfect. So fresh & delicious. One of the best I've had. Another visit I wanted the blackened grouper sandwich that was on special, but they were out already. I got the plate with shrimp, black beans, & veggies. Shrimp was great. The veggies were a nice mix & prepared nicely. The black beans were ok, a little plain. The chips & guac are a huge serving. So good, but I wish they had 2 sizes. My husband loved the corvina fish. Everything is fresh & simply prepared. Great place.

Located at the Lido Maria Village in Newport Beach. If you're in the mood for some seafood or even some sushi, come check this place out! They have many choices of drinks to choose from as well including Arizona, Gatorade, beers and wines! I Came here on a Saturday after enjoying the beach nearby. It wasn't super packed and was able to order my food rite away. There is plenty of seating and tables inside. There are some bar seats. Also many tables and outdoor seating available to enjoy the nice evening weather. I ordered the specialty burrito with Ahi poke as the choice of meat. The burrito took less than 10 minutes to be prepared and served. Very fat, very wet and very flavorful! Such a refreshing entree. Cost was 14 and some change but very well worth it. I didn't see any needs of improvements, that is why I'm giving them 5 stars

Clam Chowder, Ahi Poke, Guac, & Bear Flag Burrito
    Catherine N.

Bear Flag always hit, but I feel like it was kinda off this day. Kinda disappointed because I was hyping it up to my boyfriend and it was only ok. The chowder has a zesty taste to it and the clams were very chewy. I don't like that the veggies were chopped up in huge chunks, would not recommend. The poke was solid and great with the chips. The guac had a heavy black pepper taste to it. It was busy on a Friday night, there's seating indoors and outdoors. They have a free parking lot.

This place is the bomb! There is usually always a line, but luckily a moose pretty fast. We love their Aji, pokey, and their salmon pokey is really good as well. I also usually get a side of veggies, which is a decent amount for the price you pay. The fish tacos are also fresh. Everything we've had has been pretty good. I feel like the rolls, though are a little pricey for the amount you get. It's her go to pokey place when we're in that direction. SYOY!

Is real or imitation crab used in the sushi rolls?

    Imitation

Is there no longer an online order option?

You can order online from Toast. Make sure you select the correct location.

Are there any gluten free options? Essentially is the sushi gluten free?

Yes. They do not charge for gluten.

What's with your phone number not working on Lido location?

Is poke pre marinated in sesame oil and poke sauce?

    Yup and it's amazing.

Given COVID, do they now take credit/debit cards?

    Yes, they do!

    Do they serve alcoholic drinks?

    Yes they do! Enjoy!!!

Does anyone know if the poke is Keto friendly? I am doing low carb / Keto diet and ate here today, I ordered 1/2 pound of the salmon and ahi poke- I realized it's pre marinated with DELICIOUSNESS and seeds/ etc but there is no way to find carb count

It should be, I eat that without the chips and and still stay in ketosis. It just has sesame oil to my knowledge, however a half pound of poke is a lot of protein which can also throw you out of ketosis. So depending on how much protein you need,…

    What time is happy hour?

No happy hour to my knowledge

I see a lot of reviews complaining about them not being open, I recommend following them on Instagram as they post their hours and offerings on there. I wish they included pricing on their posts to allow us to budget better before being on site. They are very much on the pricier side but for the most part that is justifiable with what you get. I picked up some spot prawns at $45/lb, 4 pieces ran me about $25 but those were so fresh I would get them again. I also picked up scallops. I did expect them to be fresh but they were completely frozen so I am not sure when they harvested them and the scallops themselves were a tad on the smaller side, at about $33 for a 17oz bag that seemed a bit steep. Most of their fish range from $32-35 per pound and their Mexican white shrimp were $25/lb. I do very much plan to come back but this would not be a frequent stop for me

They also carry exotic meats such as wild boar, kangaroo, yak, bison, duck, alligator, ostrich, quail, and one thing I found most interesting was rabbit and pork sausage mixture. I went on a monday night and got the baja bucket which was the deal for the night ! The baja bucket contains. 4 lobster tails, 12 shrimp, 2 corn on the cobs, chicken, steam, rice and beans, tortilla, and a salad (or up charge soup) plus fried ice cream at the end. OMG! It was soooo good, the food is flash fried which worked perfectly for this meal. Everything was cooked perfectly, j clouding the lobster. I enjoyed every bite. I will say I split this with my boyfriend and there was sooo much food that by the time the ice cream came around it was hard to fully indulge in because I was so stuffed! Modal night the deal brings this meal to about 70/80 dollars. That is honestly so much food and hard to come by in 2026! I've been telling so many of my friends about the experience here. The servers were attentive and very knowledgeable. The place looks like a cute tiki dive bar but restaurant style. It' has a cute waterfall that we were able to sit next to. The lobster was good, shrimp pretty meh but the Alaskan King Crab ruined just about everything. Steak was ordered Medium but came out Done, chicken was basic, and corn was chewy and not fresh like it had been boiled, steamed, and then grilled. The margaritas we ordered were too sweet and about 16oz with only one shot in the drink ($18 each) not worth the price for juice and hardly any alcohol. Now, back to the ruinous Alaskan King Crap (not a typo). The crab was molting which means when you crack open the shell there's a leathery skin on the meat inside that's supposed to replace the outer shell when the crab is still growing, this extends to the spikier parts of the crab and if swallowed could cause issues and is dangerous to eat. My girlfriend and I tried to eat around it and see if it was just a few legs but it was the whole damned thing. Our wonderful server offered us a replacement of snow crab but our total bill was never adjusted so we paid for King Crab and never got it. I hear that this is par for the course for this place which is sad because this place used to be pretty legendary. Too bad, I don't recommend but left a star for our server who was awesome.
