Wild Fork CM is having an Easter event today, 4/4 from 12 - 3. There are free food samples and a chance to spin for a prize. I won a pair of mini tongs. Although I'm not normally a fan of chicken, the drumstick that was handed out was juicy and not dry. The ribeye roast was tasty as well. I don't care for ham so I didn't eat any. The Easter Bunny is keeping cool inside waiting to take photos with your little ones (and pets?) I saw a lady bring in her two small dogs to take a photo with the Easter Bunny. Seafood and meat products sold that are frozen but taste super fresh. Products are prime and well packaged. Owner's choose products specifically of high grade. Nice selection of frozen vegetables that are tasty as well. Surprisingly so. I'm a foodie so sometimes I need frozen in a flash. Wild Fork fits the bill. First time coming here to this location. Have been to the Seal Beach location before and it was pretty good. Super friendly and helpful staff. I was able to get more spices (Island Jerk Seasoning, Chicago Chop and Steak Seasoning, and Island Spice Seasoning) and also a package of Mary's Chicken. Excited to make it at home. I also got a pound of the uncured calabrese sausage which i have made before for my morning breakfast. This store is similar to the SB store as how clean it is and how much variety of proteins that you can try. They crazy item I found was a bag of frozen chicken hearts. HA! I like how they have a variety of beef, steaks, chicken, turkey, seafood, pork, and ground meat. Make me want to learn to cook more foods! They also carry exotic meats such as wild boar, kangaroo, yak, bison, duck, alligator, ostrich, quail, and one thing I found most interesting was rabbit and pork sausage mixture. One day I will try these exotic flavors. Moving on to dessert, I got their cheesecake, mini beigneits with mixed berries, and lava cakes. This place is amazing if you want to pick up an affordable dinner with delicious flavor. We picked up their frozen sea bass, picanha steak, rustic tomato seasoned chicken breast, garlic baguette, broccoli and cheese gratin, and their rotisserie potatoes with garlic and herbs. All the items were flavorful especially the picanha steak which was tender, juicy and easy to cook. You only need to add salt and pepper. The portion size is good as well. The rotisserie potatoes with garlic and herbs are delectable sides to eat with the steak as well as the garlic baguette. The garlic baguette had melted garlic butter with a crispy outside which made it better than your typical garlic bread. We highly recommend coming here if you want to have a meal that tastes home-cooked with minimal effort. We will certainly come back again. read more

Terrible experience at Wild Fork Foods. I came in looking for gluten-free products and asked an employee for help. Instead of helping, they called the manager on the phone, and his response? "I have no idea." I was told to just "Google it" and "figure it out." That kind of attitude from a store manager is not only unprofessional, it's dangerous. People with allergies or dietary restrictions can't afford to guess. If you have celiac, a gluten intolerance, or any dietary needs, do not shop here. Wild Fork in Valencia is very clean, All personnel were very friendly. Their Veal is very good, their boneless half ham is outstanding. Their steak is questionable, I purchased a 25.00 dollar T-Bone steak along with some other steak. The T-Bone was cooked to 138 degrees, I took two bites of the steak and remarked to my wife that this is one of the worst steaks I have ever gotten, it was so tough that I took 2 bites and dumped it in the trash can. The other steaks I purchased Rib Eye and New York were Ok and on the same level as a Grocery Store select grade. i will not be purchasing any steaks From Wild Fork in the future. Both Sam's Club and Costco choice steaks are better and a bit less expensive than wild fork. I am really disappointed in the quality of the Wild Fork steaks. read more

Here's what we have tried and loved so far: -chicken thighs -chicken wings -shrimp -ground berkshire pork everything tasted better than getting it fresh fro whole foods at way less of a cost. we had this order delivered straight to our home and the driver took it to our apartment door! today we we decided to visit the storefront and were not disappointed. the staff is super friendly, funny even. we enjoyed our time in store. we got to see more than what we would have on the website... idk something about being in store gives me more patience to explore. we grabbed the following: -salmon -picanha -ground beef -boneless short rib -more shrimp -angus beef pattie's excited to try these out. might update on how we felt about the meets. the store itself is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. i'm a fan so far! have to admit, i was a bit cautious about frozen meats because i usually get meat fresh from the butcher or grocery store. but i haven't been disappointed yet. my younger brother who i cook for even asked where i got the chicken thighs this time because it was juicer than the fresh ones i usually get! we definitely will be return customers. read more

This review is long overdue. Our family loves Wild Fork and almost all of our meat and seafood shopping is done here. Do not let the frozen aspect fool you. Yes it is frozen but it's flash frozen and once thawed is similar to going to a grocery store or butcher to purchase your meats and seafood. This is how these items arrive at the store. Our go to items are their New York steaks, salmon, ground beef, ground pork , swordfish and Argentine jumbo shrimp. You can't go wrong with almost all items but these are our regulars that are tried and true. You are missing out if you haven't tried Wild Fork. Just a gem of a concept and thank you for coming to the Newport Beach/ Costa Mesa area. read more

They are curently in the process of open a location near where I live, after looking online, discoverd that there were several stores in Orange County, since we were in the area decided to stop by and and take a look and see what they have to offer. Store was empty when we walked in on a Saturday afternoon except for 3 staff members resocking the cases, all were very friendly and greeted us as we walked in, gave us a few minutes to look around and then asked if we needed help finding anything. Looked around and picked out a few things to try, Shrimp and Scallop skewers, Bison New York Sirloin Steak, some sausages and a few other non meat items, prices were very reasonable. Generally not a huge fan of frozen meats and seafood when fresh is available, but really wanted to give thdisappointments. sirloin was OK, shrimp and scallops were very good, sausages were OK will need to try some of their other items for a final decision but for our first set of items there were no major disapointments. read more

Cannot get behind this place so far. First, everything is frozen and the whole claim of "frozen is better" is utter nonsense. There's nothing better about a frozen steak vs. a fresh Prime cut. Don't fall for the marketing nonsense, frozen helps one store food longer so it doesn't spoil, it has nothing to do with it being better for you. Granted, there are a lot of people who love to eat from the freezer but that's not ideal. Fresh food (meat, fish, poultry) is always best. Period. If you want great steak, hit a butcher shop, there are some legendary ones around us here in NPB. Second, the quality and sourcing of their products is suspect. While the prices are well below market rate for Prime steaks, poultry, and lamb, you get what you pay for. I purchased a whole kosher chicken which was in-line with grocery store prices ($16) and this bird had more feathers and hair on it than a baby's head. I echo the other reviews both online and on Yelp regarding Wild Fork selling hairy, unplucked chicken - go look online and on Yelp for others who've had the SAME experience with their chicken. Bottom line: it's a low grade, poorly sourced chicken they're selling. I've never seen a hairy or not fully plucked chicken in any grocery store, ever. If you want frozen steaks, go to Costco and freeze some Prime or even Choice steaks for the same if not lower price point. If you want a great steak, you're gonna pay $40 / pound at a butcher shop. Seafood selection is also 1) priced the same as fresh seafood, 2) limited and 3) cryptic as to what it is on the packaging. Farm raised, wild, this, that. Unknown. I just don't see the point of this concept here, perhaps in places where grocery is limited it may work but in NPB / Costa Mesa where even grocery stores have Prime steaks, where you have incredible butcher shops and incredible fresh seafood - this is not the place to go. read more

Wild Fork is a clean grand slam and after 2 visits I'm compelled to write a 5-star review. Wild Fork hails from the friendly and beautiful country of Brazil, a place that knows beef and good food. Highlights: --Has the elusive flat iron steak in stock. --Decent pricing. --Long list of beef types: prime is sold, along with grass fed, Wagyu, South American cuts, Korean cuts. --Macaroons! And at a great price. --Thick cut bacon at 1/3 the cost of Peter Luger's. --Sausages galore, including some South American treats. --5 or 6 types of smoked salmon. (I must try the gin-and-tonic flavored salmon next time.) --Don't have to become a "member." Walk-ins are welcome. --Items are purchased frozen, so minimal worries about partial spoilage of meats. (I'm looking at you, Trader Joe's and Von's/Albertsons.) Only quibble is a lack of breakfast sausage, but with Wild Fork's ground pork, my wife's cookbook collection and a New Orleans-sy range of spices, that issue is moot. We found the quality of meats and products to be extremely reasonable for the quality. The variety and method of display makes it very easy to shop. The help we received from Santiago in selection and how to prepare was very valuable...we want to call ahead and make sure he's there every time we visit. Being able to compare a prime cut to a choice cut side by side and see the difference is a real good way for us to shop. We made much better decisions. We'll be back. read more

I purchased the Taglierini chicken lemon and garlic sauce. The taste of the food was a 3 star. THE problem was the photo on the front of the package shows 12 slices of chicken and at least 17 peas. There was 6 pieces of chicken and 11 peas. I was seriously cheated on the chicken portion. SHAME on them. I am NEVER going back!! read more

What a novel concept!!! A modern day butcher shop with a wide array of meats and cuts (skirt and picanha) that you wouldn't find at traditional grocery stores. They have those too, but the variety of meats (buffalo, venison, duck, veal) and seafood is fantastic. All the meats are flash frozen (similar to sashimi grade fish). Enrica helped me get an education on all the offerings. She was so passionate and well informed. I learned later she also teaches Italian cooking classes. The manager, Kelly, was also super helpful and welcoming. I'm so pleased to have this store in our area. I can't wait to try the different meats and share my new discoveries with friends and family. Ordered an organic brined turkey for 2023 thanksgiving we were really excited for the great taste and quality but we're sorely disappointed. My husband is a fireman and has cooked numerous turkeys for large groups of people brined, deep fried Gordon Ramsey style he's done it all. This turkey looked great after it came out of the oven but the meat would not fall off the bone it was stuck and only a few pieces on the outside came off easily. It wasn't over cooked or undercooked it was just a bad quality bird. Ive had chicken low quality at the grocery store that has done this before too where the meat it tightly would and will not come off the bone. There was very little turkey to eat basically no dark meat and we were very disappointed. The sides were great that you can just pop in the oven so I gave 2 stars for that. On the plus side, they are relatively cheap, they carry some unusual meats (gator), they are clean, and the employees friendly. On the not plus side, the quality of the products is poor. I've tried bacon, beef, scallops, salmon, and squash. The squash was decent, for frozen squash cubes. The salmon sub-par, the rest more so. You get what you pay for here. They have high quality protein options, and most importantly kind employees that are willing to help you find exactly what you need. I've been to different types of stores like this, that are not affiliated with Wild Fork, and I have never encountered such kind people. At those other stores there's always an option to tip at the end of the purchase, and this is one of the first places I wish I could tip but it isn't an option. This is a pretty cool place. It is interesting because all of the meat is frozen, which had me a little nervous at first. But I bought a ribeye and figured I'd check it out. It was delicious. Incredibly tender and super flavorful at a fantastic price point. I've been back since and one of the things I really like about this place is their "exotic" meat selection. I ordered food five days before I was going to pick it up. When I got there, I found out that it wasn't ready and they had no idea of the order. I had to show them my order to confirm it. The assistant manager said she had to check with corporate to find out whatever happened to the order. Then I find out that the meat isn't fresh it's frozen, I tried to explain that that was not gonna work for me and that I wanted to cancel my order and I would get a couple of the other things that I wanted. She said she had to call Customer Service to get my refund and that she would call me back today. of course I never heard from her and I have yet to receive my refund. I am very upset. Nowhere on the website does it say that the products are all frozen nothing is fresh there. I will not be going back and I would like my refund please now I have to run around and find what I needed to get from another store. I'm having 17 people at my house for dinner on Saturday and this did not make getting ready for it any easier! read more

I love wild fork! I have the yearly membership and order all the time online to have it shipped to my house. live in San Diego, but my girlfriends family are in fountain valley and when I heard there is a wild fork going there I was so excited! This last trip to visit them we took a drive to Costa Mesa to visit the newly opened store for our first time. It wasn't a huge store but super clean, organized and all the employees were super helpful! Everyone asked if we needed help finding anything and we're all around great. I ended up buying about $100 worth of food to take back home with me. WE NEED A WILD FORK IN SAN DIEGO!!!!! but for now I'll visit the Costa Mesa store and the fountain valley store (once opened) until we get one here in San Diego! read more
