My senior lady friends and I had a very rough day. We needed to bring our blood pressure down a few points and Woodys Timber Ridge Steakhouse did that for us! From the Woodsy feel walking up to the restaurant to the calming pictures inside we knew it was a great choice. The warmth of the bar area called us in. Our server suggested the sampler platter appetizers which consisted of warm spinach artichoke dip and chips, zucchini and Mozzarella sticks with marinara Sauce, loaded potato skins, then a happy hour order of garlic Parmesan wings and topped it off with Margaritas! This place is worth a visit.. Trust Me.. Yes this place used to be something else, but don't be afraid to go inside and see what's going on.. We came in just after opening to have lunch as we were in the area. We we're welcomed by a friendly smile who asked us how we were doing. We were seated right away, and our server was awesome. We ordered off the lunch menu and the prices are very reasonable. I ordered The Lodge Club Sandwich and My Wife Ordered The Cheeseburger. The wait wasn't that long. The food came out and it tasted just as good as it looked.. The steak fries were cooked perfectly to match.. Our Server SAM was very attentive and friendly.. I would hope for him to be my server again as he has a great attitude that made our experience very nice. The thing that made me happy that we had lunch here was the story behind this place. We have eaten at Woody's, which is a nearby restaurant with the same owner. Knowing that the owner opened this place and brought back the previous businesses employees, makes me truly hope that this business survives. Went here on a Tuesday night for my mom's birthday. (9-15-26) We were a party of 7. I walked in and was told it was a 20 min wait. We sat there for 1 hour and were told they only had 2 waitresses and not enough kitchen staff. The waitresses kept coming up to the hostess asking her to not take anymore people because they needed their breaks and were overwhelmed. What boggles my mind is, this was Claim Jumper prior to Timber Ridge taking over. Not having enough staff on a Tuesday evening in a really busy city is crazy. Let alone lying to us about the wait. Loved it the first time for lunch on a Monday but will likely not be coming back here especially for birthday celebrations. We were pretty much shooed away at 8:00PM. Even if you had a reservation they were severely understaffed and wouldn't have been able to take the party. Advice to the new owners: Staff your waitress and waiters appropriately. 3.5-4 Stars. The service was nice and anyone we interacted with was friendly. We got seated fairly quickly. I don't think much changed decor wise but I could be mistaken. The garden salad was okay. The ranch was super watery and not enough. The steak was good. The Mac and cheese side was ok. The mashed potatoes were almost "watery". The garlic fries were soft and soggy. The amount of garlic was awesome but it was not crunchy or satisfying. The 11 year old in the group did like her steak, regular fries and cup of fresh fruit. My boyfriend liked his happy hour bbq pizza and wings. He liked the amount of garlic in the fries too but also thought they were soggy. Now, this location just opened and is in the process of renovating and changing things. I don't think I'll be back again, but I do recommend checking it out at least once and see for yourself what you think. I wanted to like this place located at the former Claim Jumper location, but I honestly did not like most of the food that was ordered for our table. The Mountain Spinach Artichoke Dip was okay, and the Timber Ridge Loaded Potato Skins tasted good but were not very loaded--especially lacking in melted cheese. I ordered the Share Size, and it consisted of thin strips of Potato Skins with some cheese, small pieces of bacon, and a few Green Onions, plus available sour cream. A Small Garden Salad was fairly plain, with a good-tasting Asian Dressing. And although I saw a round loaf of salt-crusted bread on another table, no bread was offered to my group of four. Diane's Pan-Seared Sea Bass was noticeably undercooked, and when brought to our waitress's attention, she did offer to replace it, But Diane declined. Unfortunately, my Mountain Country Steak was crumbly, and I had two bad bites that I spat out. But the Mashed Potatoes, assorted vegetables, and Country Gravy were good. The owner came by and indicated that a new menu is coming out in a couple of weeks, with more offerings like Meatloaf, so I will return fairly soon, and hope for a better overall experience next time. read more

She gave us great recommendations on what to order and was very helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our entire dinner. The food was on point, but what really stood out was the customer service. We were honestly surprised when Laura mentioned she had only been working there for two days and was still training--you would never know it based on the service she provided. I had such a nice experience at lunch that I brought the whole family for dinner too. Ryan our server was spot on. Took care of our whole section with such grace. The mozzarella sticks are huge and hand breaded. They were amazing. Steaks, pot pie, salmon and burgers were all great too. I recommend the Mai Tai if you indulge. The aesthetic is cozy and rustic. We came to try this restaurant after having visited the other Woody's locations, so we were very excited to see what this one had to offer. Although they are currently in their soft opening, with some exciting new things still to come, everything we tried was delicious! Our server, Sam, was wonderful--very pleasant, attentive, and made our experience even better. We also had the opportunity to speak with the owner, Mike, during our visit. He was incredibly friendly and took the time to speak with guests, hear feedback, and make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. We went here tonight to celebrate my friend's birthday. I found out through Yelp that Claim jumpers changed names and ownership and saw the good ratings, so we decided to check it out. It was a nice and pleasant experience. I liked that they didn't blast the music so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. Our hosts Amy and Kristen were both very friendly and helpful. It was too late the day before to make a reservation and I forgot to use the Waitlist tonight, but it was only about a 15 minute wait which was amazing for a Friday night on Hospitality with a packed parking lot. I know that everyone can have different religious beliefs, but when we walked in and saw the John 3:16 sign up on the wall, we felt good right from the beginning that we were supporting a Christian business. My friend and I shared the bone-in Ribeye and a wedge salad with a baked potato and BBQ baked beans on the side. I had never had a wedge salad before and I don't really like blue cheese, so I ended up leaving that for my friend to take home as she enjoys a good wedge salad. I am glad that they had a good balsamic dressing and a citrus vinaigrette. Most steakhouses don't have the option of any vinaigrette. The baked beans were awesome. They had a unique flavor that wasn't too sweet but sweet enough and a smokiness that differentiated it from the same tasting baked beans that most places have. I am not much into baked potatoes but they were good enough. Again, this was something my friend enjoyed more and it was her birthday, so I made her pick the sides. Miguel was our server and I just want to warn everyone, if you ask him how big something is, he will tell you normal or small. Nope, everything was large. The baked potato was large, the wedge salad was huge and the free piece of chocolate cake we got for the birthday celebration was huge! Even though we shared the meal we still had about half of it to take home. The bone-n Ribeye is huge. I think it was 21 ounces and it wasn't taken up by a lot of bone. They brought it out and we tasted it and the flavor was fantastic. However, there was a lot of sinew and hard stuff to chew through that wasn't just fat or gristle. Miguel got the manager to come over and they explained that this particular steak; the bone-in Ribeye; they don't have any control over the cut, whereas they do on all the rest of the steaks. He replaced it for us with no problem and I just want to mention for management that the second one was way better. So there is a sort of hit and miss and you can get a bad cut, but the fact that they were willing to remedy the situation without issue was great. Especially for paying that much for a steak, you want it to be great and enjoy it. I have this odd mixture that I like with steak. I mix horseradish with cocktail sauce and use it as my dip instead of A1. They had both kinds of horseradish and cocktail sauce. So I was able to make my concoction and their horseradish is very good. So many places are not serving root beer anymore and replacing it with Dr. Pepper. I can't stand Dr. Pepper, so I like places that serve root beer. It was good here. The right amount of carbonation and sweet enough yet not too sweet. I can't wait for them to get their new menu, lower pricing and the salad bar in a month or so. We have so many things we want to try. We had a nice talk with our hosts Amy and Kristen about the restaurant and the owner and story of the JC on the salad bar and the Christian music and about their desserts. Their cheesecakes look so delicious and a whole cake is cheaper than Cheesecake factory. Hope everyone will check this establishment out and enjoy their meals and service like we did. read more

Stopped at the Timber Ridge Steakhouse in San Bernardino (old claim jumper) to see the newest establishment owned and operated by the owner of Woody's in Grand Terrace and Colton. This was my first time in the location, I had never been to Claim Jumpers. The restaurant was BEAUTIFUL! The wood and rock work had a cabin vibe and the light music added to the atmosphere. We had an amazing server, Miguel. He was very attentive, ensured my kids and I had everything we needed. The food was very good, came out hot and correct to order. So happy to have another restaurant nearby that has good food, can accommodate large parties, and provides good service. We will definitely return to check out the happy hour and we look forward to the large salad bar and Sunday football. Stop in and check it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

Came for a quick bite for lunch, I tried the fish tacos a side salad and a Mai tai! The fish tacos were amazing and the salad actually had vegetables lol. The drink was tasty too. I also ordered a piece of the 6 layer chocolate cake to take home for everyone. Next time when I'm not alone, I'm going to try the ribs or brick fired pizza. They are also working on a salad bar. This was previously Claim Jumper. Its new owner has retained the staff , most of the menu and maid some improvements . On entry the familiar desert display greets you with a familiar giant chocolate cake. We were seated in the bar . Other than new wall art it remains similar to its past the menu is similar as well with new names attached . Our server was excellent very friendly, helpful and fun . She is definitely worth the visit on her own. The drinks were delicious and I will admit surprisingly large. The food I had the Cobb sandwich with coleslaw. My mother opted for a steak with grilled vegetables and coleslaw. The steak was done as she requested and had a good flavor. I can't say juicy as she is a medium well on steak ( it's a work in progress better than her previous extra well done) . The coleslaw was solid. My sandwich was perfect the cheese bread was perfect. Chicken was juicy plenty of flavor .we opted for the Cheese Pie with strawberries. And yes that translates in to cheese cake. Generous portion that was delicious. This is soft opening an actual grand opening date will be announced soon. The salad bar will return and rumors have a breakfast menu in the future. Husband and I came here for dinner Wednesday night around 5:30-6ish, not super busy. Our waitress was Deb, she was absolutely AWESOME! I had an issue with my order (due to my own misunderstanding) and she brought one of the chefs out to see how we could modify my dish to make it to where I could eat it. If you even went to the old Claim Jumpers, it's the same aesthetic, old steakhouse feel. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will came back for sure. read more
