Cream puffs are always good, I got the matcha cream puff this time. The filling was cool and creamy but not too heavy.

I came to Beard Papas at around 3pm because I wanted some sweets today. I was immediately greeted by these two young workers, they were extremely nice, friendly, and polite with me! They answered all of my questions and gave me suggestions for my order. The puffs they made were very generously filled and perfectly served. Even the music was very entertaining and enjoyable. I definitely will come back again because of the amazing puffs and service!!

I always come here when I visit my parents from AZ. We have gotten vanilla, chocolate, and matcha , but I prefer the standard shell and standard vanilla filling. So good, the shell is light and flaky, with a creamy filling. Our half dozen order was about $25. I think the prices have increased but I assume that is due to inflation everywhere. They have open one or two in AZ but I believe one of them already closed.

I love these cream puffs. i dont love all cream puffs because they're not my thing, but i love these. the filling choices are wonderful with seasonal rotating flavors. also the fillling is a custard that's so smooth and creamy and refreshing when cold. cold cream puff on a hot day is excellent! try it chocolate dipped. that's my fave and go to item

Was walking around the plaza when we decided to try Beard Papa's for the first time on a Friday around 7pm. I got one dulce de leche cream puff and it was pretty average. I would have preferred a softer crème puff as the outside was dry and hard, so the cream would almost explode with each bite. I also wish there were more filling options for the shells as they only offer chocolate, vanilla, and green tea. One crème puff was about $5, which is a bit pricey. I don't think I would return

It's been awhile since I had a vanilla filled chocolate Beard Papa and we had to order some to go. Approximately an hour later, we cut one open and the cream was still cold which went well with our coffee!

I was working nearby with the crew and I've been waiting to get my hands on a cream puff since the last time.. I knew nobody on my work crew has ever had one so I had to figure out how to let them experience the beard papa magic without breaking the bank. I bought 4 full sized puffs and 2 mini puff cups. I wasn't sure if the mini puffs were big enough from the pictures, because I've never had them. They were definitely shareable and loaded with flavor. There is no sacrifice in going smaller lol. It's located in a super busy shopping center so parking is plentiful yet scarce here. You'll have to make a round or 2 to park but it's not the end of the world. The product and service is definitely well worth it. There's plenty of variety and I haven't been let down yet. This isn't the cheapest guilty pleasure but you'll get your money's worth, for certain. If youre ever in the area to get a BP cream puff, don't pass up your chance. This will turn anyone's day around in a positive way lol.

came by around closing and the staff was so kind to give us a complimentary one since we were the last customers of the day. decent size for the puffs and generous usage of the vanilla cream inside. puff itself can be a bit dry but i feel like the matcha really made up for that, the cream felt a bit much at times but i want to come back to try matcha cream since they had ran out

My favorite place for cream puffs. Gotta says it's a bit pricey, but it is absolutely yummy. Their (classic) vanilla filling is creamy and not too sweet. Their flavor frosting is a bit on the sweet side. I like their original plain puffs the most. Store is small. Kinda nice that you can get to see some of their making. Friendly staffs.

What a cute cream puff shop. I was helped pretty quickly upon entering the store. The they had a ton of cream puff shells stacked up and ready to be filled. I ordered a box of 6 for a friend's birthday and I decided to order one for myself. I tried the eclair cream puff with vanilla filling. It was delicious. They are very generous with the filling. The staff were very helpful and the shop is nice and clean on the inside. I'll definitely be back.

Stopped in while in line for Izumi. I would recommend the original with vanilla but the chocolate filling with it i think it good as well. I got the chocolate shell but it wasnt satisfying bc it was too hard and cant really taste the chocolate that much. The service was very good and they answered my questions well. Would recommend for a not too sweet treat!

Beard Papa is such a treat! The staff were friendly and accommodating, and in-store they have more flavors than the app shows (the app also has weird ordering time limits that don't exist in person--definitely could improve that). The matcha filling is a standout--smooth, rich, and delicious. Everything I tried was tasty, nicely packaged, and fresh. The plaza location is nice, with other food options nearby for a little stroll. I loved being able to mix and match fillings and toppings--makes it fun to customize. Hard to pick a favorite, but the matcha cream puff and matcha topping top my list. Eclairs are also excellent. Great spot for customizable cream puff desserts!

I tried their matcha & chocolate cream puffs for the first time and It didn't disappoint. I've never been a fan of sweets, but these were good. My favorite was the matcha cream puff. Great Japanese cream puffs, not overly sweet!

    Yes

Is this business taking phone calls? The phone keeps ringing or disconnects immediately...

The same happened to me as well so I came in person. On the day I went, they were late to open, only had two people working, and my online order was cancelled. They could be overwhelmed and/or under staffed.

How often do u make the milk tea flavor? And if I do an order of a dozen or 2 dozen of mini puff, would u be able to make that seasonal/temporary flavor and another another regular flavor? e.g., 12 milk tea and 12 green tea to make a 2 dozen?

It's seasonal. No milk tea flavor. This month (Oct) is caramel pumpkin then next month is apple.

I dropped by after dinner with my family. As they loaded up their tray, I walked around looking for vegan options. I found two items displayed near the register: Gluten-Free Vegan Coffee Cake Mini Loaf and the Gluten-Free Vegan Double Chocolate Chip Mini Loaf. Note: Their website mentions they also have a Vegan Chocolate Chip Muffin and a Vegan Blueberry Muffin, but I didn't see them during my visit. The Plain Baguette is also vegan. I tried both mini loafs, but unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with either. The texture was too sandy, the loaf was dry, and the flavor was lacking. Traditionally, a coffee cake is moist, buttery, and has warm spices like cinnamon with a crunchy streusel topping. This was lacking cinnamon and the topping didn't add texture. When I think of a double chocolate chip mini loaf, I imagine something rich, sweet, and chocolatey. This was not moist or rich, and the chocolate cake lacked depth. The only saving grace was the chocolate chips, but the actual cake texture wasn't enjoyable enough to finish it. As a vegan, I wouldn't shop here again. In fact, I'd rather have Abe's coffee cake or brownies from the grocery store than this bakery's vegan options. That said, I added two stars instead of one because the staff is friendly, parking is easy, the store is clean, and as I recall, their non-vegan options are tasty.

Even as I grew older, I never grew out of combing through their catalogue of delightful egg tarts and sweet and savory buns. The experience I'm speaking about today pertains to their custom cake order. You will likely need to speak Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese for this. I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for my party of approximately 20 people, and we had almost half of the cake left over to spare! To be fair, I did give a much more generous estimate (I mentioned that there would be around 20-30 people attending my party). Definitely would've downsized had I known everyone's appetite would be so small. The ladies working there will let you know which size is best for your party. The cake was gigantic, and made in my favorite flavor (their mango mousse) with my birthday message written atop it in red and white icing. I loved everything about it! They're generous with the pickup process, you can definitely arrive after the time you specified for picking up. Everything went very smoothly, my friends were surprised that the cake was so delicious and many had never even had a mango flavored cake to begin with either! The creamy rich mousse layers complement the spongey cake perfectly. It was $135 total, but if you get their regular fruit cream cake, it'll be cheaper than if you pick a specialty cake (their tiramisu, passionfruit, etc).

When we've brought it to social gatherings in the past, it's also always a hit. Their other desserts, like their lemon bars, french napoleon, and turtle cheesecake, are also major hits. So when it was time for my wedding, I knew I had to get my cake from them! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They offer cake tasting boxes that include their most popular flavors. However, we had a specific taste profile in mind and asked if they could custom make the samples for us - they said yes without hesitation and didn't charge us extra! The samples were delicious and the pickup process was easy. We went with a ribbon cake (chocolate and vanilla) with fresh strawberries, whipped cream filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. It was a 3-layer vanilla cake filled with lemon mousse, covered in buttercream and white chocolate bark pieces, and topped with 10 blueberries. This flavor can be found on their website catalog. I don't know if this is typical for this bakery, but the cake was heavy, claggy on the bottom, and way too sweet. The lemon mousse tasted incredibly strange, as if it were artificial or maybe had some kind of herb or weird flavoring added. The less said about the cream, the better. The white chocolate was quite good though. I saw they had a wide variety of cake offerings, but I don't think I'd want cake from here again. I might get the choux pastry again.
