HOLLY does my mani and is so fast and efficient. Every month, I get compliments about the different designs (I always pick a nude base so the regrowth isn't noticeable). THUY does my pedicure and she is the best at massaging my calves. She also really takes her time to clean up my cuticles and scrub off the calluses I have from walking a ton. After coming to the salon for 10yrs now, I was even able to convince my boyfriend to try a professional pedicure for the first time. He now comes with me for a monthly pedicure with DAISY. Both services were reasonably priced. The spa is small but clean and bright. The staff were friendly, and there's plenty of parking right outside. The only minor hiccup was a brief communication mix-up (English isn't everyone's first language here), but once I clearly restated that we wanted pedicures too, they immediately moved us into a booth, and took excellent care of us. I didn't win the raffle but the winner wanted a wax, nothing more. Reina's couldn't do this so she offered the certificate to me as she knew I really wanted microblading done. The winner told me the business had verbally approved the transfer-- as they should seeing as it was hers to do with what she pleased after winning! Moving forward..... so I buy this GC... I'm stoked! Next day I contacted Reinas to book, told them I was the one who purchased raffle ticket from winner.... Etc. Lady told me this was being offered by artist Nazzii. I requested her insta.. all checked out... and that very same day she had a cancellation! I was then told to shoot her a text of my brows before the appointment. I then text the photos to Nazzii and immediately she said she doesn't work on brows done by previous artists. Kind of weird since it's a SEMI PERMANENT tattoo that calls for touch ups every 2-4 years (depending on skin type, sun exposure, etc etc.). And In my case, it'd been over three years... ANYWAYS....that was pretty much it. No mention of corrective options, removal, or starting fresh. Just statement that she doesn't work over other artists TATTOO* (ahem-- I don't have tattooed eyebrows!) followed by a message stating that "Microblading is a natural individual hair stroke on natural brows". .....yes this is correct.... And your point is.....???? Pshh Her alternative offer: one brow tint. One brow tint. For a $600 certificate. Ya know... if terms and conditions were disclosed prior to the raffle....All would be fine. And come on ---The original winner couldn't even swap it for a basic brow wax (which is fine they only thread)..... but the fact I couldn't use it for the service it was issued for... no no no. And the business's solution was a single tint service worth maybe $20. In conclusion........Before booking, I'd suggest reading the review directly before mine on this page -- it appears to describe a very different policy about working over previous brow work. Make of that what you will. Zero stars if Yelp allowed it.

That brings me to the Nail Studio of San Carlos. It is located directly next to a Starbucks Coffee House I like to visit. One day as I was leaving Starbucks, I looked up and noticed the nail Studio San Carlos. I had a walk in pedicure and everything was perfect. I have since become a regular at the Nail Studio of San Carlos. My technician is Wendy ("Hang") and she is wonderful. Very efficient, and she does a perfect job on both my manicures and pedicures. It felt like the focus was on getting customers in and out as quickly as possible rather than providing the quality service this salon used to be known for. The work was rushed, careless, and not at all what I've come to expect from this salon. I hope management takes this seriously. If the salon is going to increase prices or promote upgraded services, the quality and attention to detail need to match.
