Cool interior good vibe, the happy hour is also pretty good. The cauliflower and and vegan gochujang wings were pretty good. The viet nom nom wrap also very good, impressive vegan meat. Would come back

Beelmans has been a go to for us for a while now Such a cool vide lots of great photos all over the walls. The food is absolutely delicious. I live the vegan menu nom nom wrap is so good spices hit perfectly add some fries with ketchup and cholula and its perfect. The buffalo cauliflower is one if the best I always share these with my husband and we are completely satisfied every time. West coast IPA is my go to FYI. Tonight the music was OFF total 80s vibe and not the good vibe. Ugh.

Popped in here for a while with my husband a few weeks ago before ending our night. The decor and lights caught my attention. It was pretty empty. Drinks were delicious, that husband and I ended up going from "one last drink" before coming in here at about 10pm, to staying until closing at 2. We will definitely be back.

If you are catching a show next door or are in the dtla area, this place is fun. They specialize in vegetarian appetizers but they do have tasty meat options. The vibe is one of a sports bar-we caught a game along with a mixture of local residents and business folks. We have been here several times and gives us a great place to eat and grab a drink.

I try to visit Beelman's any time I'm in LA. The downtown location is really convenient if you're already going to a downtown event. I've had the tacos, and a few of the wraps/sandwiches and everything has been excellent. I would say they have some of the best vegan food in down town LA. I like sitting in the front patio since there's usually a breeze. I don't drink alcohol so I can't really comment on the drinks.

So glad we stopped by after an event in DTLA! I ordered the Oaxaca Mule and my friend got a sangria, and we split the Rodeo Burger with onion rings. Everything was so delicious! Honestly one of the best burgers and onion rings I've had this year. I low-key regretted sharing because it was that good lol. I loved the wall decor in the bathroom too! It wasn't too busy so we were able to order rig by away at the bar. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the area!

I wanted to love this spot, but I didn't exactly. Overall, it is nice and I appreciate the extensive vegan options (although it used to be fully vegan then added the non-vegan). The food was good but very average, especially for example the fries which are basically crinkle fries out of a frozen bag. The drinks were good so thumbs up for that. We had a straw-basil margarita, frozen blood orange daiquiri and a lavender frozen drink (all pictured here). The place is a bit small, we were out in little patio because we had our dog with us, arrival experience was somewhat chaotic as we had to figure out how to order, get our menus and all. Room for improvement but ok if you just want to chill and nothing special.

I love going to DTLA just to eat here, it's such a laid back atmosphere where you can get a sports bar vibe. Also the plant based food menu is amazing! We ordered the vegan lemon pepper wings, taco trio and "That's a Tasty Burger". The name of the burger tells it all, it was the first to be eaten! The wings were good but I do wish they added more of the lemon pepper seasoning. The Taco Trio was delicious! My favorite was the Citrus Spare "Rib", I've never had a taco with that flavor profile before. The Al Pastor and Crispy Tofu taco both tied for second place. This place is hidden in plain sight and I hope more people visit!

Tachos- so good you can't tell it's vegan

A cool and cute little bar setting with booths to have a bite! I recommend the blackberry mule and tachos- they're so good you can't even tell they're vegan!

Such a pleasant surprise! I was downtown and looking for some late night Vegan food after an event, thankfully I found Beelman's. I ordered the buffalo cauliflower and totchos. Both were great. The service was cool and the restaurant has a dim lit and relaxing atmosphere. I'd definetely visit again!

I came here through a recommendation from a friend that talked highly about the place. I was somewhat disappointed as whatever she raved about seemed non-existent. She recommended it for the awesome cocktails and the exquisite vegan cuisine. When I dined there they had very basic vegan dishes that were not worth the price. Such as sandwiches and tater tots. The menu was also not exclusively vegan or vegetarian. Not that this matters as I am neither, but I am always up for trying different food especially when it was so highly recommended. The cocktails were also basic and nothing special. First I thought my friend just had a bad taste, but then I found out that they changed their menu and that the food is not that great anymore.

Beelman's, I'm back!! This gastropub will always get my love... with creative eats that included a 70/30 mostly plant-based menu of savory bites and delights. It's Rustic Pub chic and Downtown LA in the best possible way. A spacious, inviting blend of tavern meets trend. Beelman has a great menu of new American fusion style noms.. Including bowls, burgers, entrees, sandwiches, tacos, wraps and appetizers aka Bar Snacks: definitely try the Totchos, Buffalo Cauliflower, Philly Pretzel and the Vegan Chicken Wings when they're not out : _ ( Stopped in for the first time in a long time with a foodie party crew of 4! Alyssa, Miori and Sarah were the perfect end of the week crew to revisit an old favorite with. Miori enjoyed the regular Wings, Sarah had the B.L.A.S.T. and Alyssa had those perfect Buffalo Cauliflower crispy florets w/ plant based ranch (egg and dairy free). We had cool brews, mules and drink specials. For me it was rose as well as frose all day! Some great craft brews and a mule or two for everyone else in the crew. Our service was amazing - you do order everything you want at the bar where you can also leave your tab open (they return your card to you right away and you just let them know when you wish to close out). Good music, good vibes and plenty of seating to choose from - seat yourself inside at a booth, bar or shared long tables. The patio outside has some great options as well - really nice and well lit (especially at night). Restrooms still as still alternative indie and well kept. The temp is mostly room, but they will adjust to beat the heat and/or humidity (much of that lately). Parking is street or lots only - there is a small lot across the street off of Spring as well as some options nearby on neighboring streets. Only a five minute stroll from Pershing (Square) Station. I miss the Poor Man's Korean BBQ Tots on the menu, but love the revamp and new items too. Definitely stopping in again soon, hopefully you will too!

Can the business confirm it is 100% vegan? Says "plant based", but then others say they have chicken. ty!

They're back to selling corpses :(

Is it all vegan? Menu no longer has symbols online.

    All vegan except chicken wings.

I love this place, but I haven't been here during covid, Is it open for patio dining and what is their schedule?

Yeah they have like 5 tables on the patio. Walk-in only. Safe. Can get a little hood though with the area and clientele. They have security to help with that. But good place to eat and drink during this. Open until about midnight every night. They…

Can anyone confirm if they reopened?

    Yes, they are now open

Is there a gluten free menu online?

    Yes

    Do they sell gift cards?

I don't think so. You can call and ask but they didn't have any kind of memorabilia for sale or any sort of checkout counter for such things. It really is more of a local bar.

Do they show any UFC fights here?

Doubt it! They don't have many TV's... but they might!hope this helps

Page says no dogs allowed. Does that include the patio out front?

Patio out front is dog friendly

The menu says kitchen closes a 12, but yelp says 10, anyone know what time they stop serving food?

    I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure it's 12!

    Is it always 21+?

Yep, they check ids at the door.

Hello, my friend has a gluten allergy. How much of your menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free? Thanks!

They have two gluten-free meals. I think it's not enough to gluten-free person.

What time does the kitchen close?

    10pm.

Are we able to get dinner menu items during brunch?

    You sure can!

We had some "could have been better"…read moreexperiences during the awkward period of reopening several years ago, but since then it seems to have mostly hit its stride. Overall, our recent experiences have been solid. It's always great when an "old favorite" still feels like a good value. I miss some of the menu items like the lentil shepherd's pie, but we have very much enjoyed the hearty English breakfast. They also have a good selection of European beers on tap. Service has been friendly, but it is lightly staffed and pretty slow, so it's not a good place if you are in a hurry. They don't keep an eye on the patio, so if you sit out there, it's best to go inside and let them know. They also seem to have more rules than before - but I have to imagine these have come from experience. I don't think this is an ideal place to go with a large group. If it's a quiet night you might be able to pull tables together long-ways, but most tables seem ideal for 2-4. We come with our dog and sit on the patio when it isn't busy. The dog meals are massive (more food than ours eats in a whole day and she weighs 60 lbs). It's a good value, but beware if your dog is on a diet! Overall, my favorite thing is that genuinely feels like a pub, in that you can just come as you are and take your time without being rushed. A good fit for both locals and visitors in Pasadena.

My best experiences have been when I sit at the bar (alone or with friends), drinks only. Even at that, the service has rarely been stellar. Sierra Madre is the exception as far as the service is concerned. Never have had bad service there. The other 2 locations.....meh! The Old Town location is the worst as far as comfort is concerned. Super cramped and claustrophobic. No elbow room whatsoever. The other two locations aren't as tight but still need better spacing. The food here is mediocre at very best. The traditional Fish and Chips equal 3 words.....soggy, Soggy and.....SOGGY!! Crisp isn't even in their vocabulary. Both, Fish and Chips are very under-seasoned and just very disappointing and unappealing. The "Bangers and Mash" are equally disappointing. Are you serious.....deep frying the Brats to "finish them off "? The flavorless Mashed and Gravy really seal this dish as a sucker's bet. And don't get me started on the nasty frozen peas that they serve. The British Curry is the best of the traditional fare and it is barely average. Desperately in need of flavor. I go to the East Pasadena location on New Year's Eve to meet a very large group of motorcyclists for a ride, but after 3 years in a row of very disappointing breakfasts now all I do is meet them there and ride. I mean, have you ever had greasy pancakes?! And the kitchen couldn't cook an egg to order if their lives depended on it! I have to say that they do have a couple tasty Burgers though. Not what most go to an "English Pub" for but pretty much the best stuff on the menu is in burger form. The "English" is a pretty solid burger, well rounded flavors and a big seasoned and juicy patty. The "Irish" is good too. I just don't understand the Swiss Cheese, why not an Irish Cheddar?! The rest their Burgers/Sandwiches seem very uninspired, something you can get in just about every restaurant in America! Do yourself a favor and get the Steak Fries (well done) with your Burger, not the soggy homemade Fries. I went this Sunday 07/05 with some out of town guests to hit up a futbol match. They wanted to watch in a "real pub atmosphere", and had heard of Lucky Baldwins on Big Bang Theory. There was 7 of us and we arrived early enough to get a good table for the match. The place was virtually empty when we got there but filled up quickly. We all ordered our beers, then my buddies unloaded on some appetizers....5 Scotch Eggs, 2 Irish Nachos (with Steak Fries, no Tomato) and 2 Buffalo Cauliflower (1 with no sauce). Everyone Loved the Scotch Eggs, they were grub. The Grain Mustard is such a compliment. The Cauliflower was very good, with a crispy breading and very well seasoned. The Buffalo Sauce added a great kick but the Bleu Cheese Dressing was not up to par.....watery and where was the Bleu Cheese?! Our Irish Nachos were decent but came with Tomatoes (which I cannot eat). I do have to say that they do have a great variety of ale and beers. They are a little pricey though. Go for the beer, stay for the beer, be mindful of what you order!

    - Broken Compass Tiki…read more My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Broken Compass Tiki. I originally found it on TikTok, followed up with a few YouTube videos, and knew I had to check it out the next time we were in Burbank. It completely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in Burbank, but we got lucky and found a street parking spot nearby. If you don't get as lucky, driving around the block or into the surrounding neighborhood should eventually turn something up. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, and there were already several people inside. By the time we left, the place was filling up quickly, so it's definitely a popular spot. I surprised my girlfriend by keeping the destination a secret and just telling her we were going somewhere fun with a unique theme. She loved it. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Both the bartender and our server were incredibly welcoming. Our server asked whether it was our first visit and took the time to ask what kinds of drinks we normally enjoy before making recommendations. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell us. Instead, he explained why he thought certain cocktails were better choices based on our preferences, and every recommendation ended up being spot on. As you'd expect from a tiki bar, the cocktail menu is heavily rum-focused, but there are also non-alcoholic drinks, a small beer selection, and wine available if rum isn't your thing. I ordered the Zombie Magic first, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. After that, I tried the 100 Year Cigar, a Scotch-based cocktail that was perfect for slowly sipping. Both drinks were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Painkiller and the Navy Grog, and she loved both of them. We started with the Shut It Polly wings, crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and they were outstanding. We also ordered the Aloha Dippers with the Cajun seasoning. I paired mine with the Chipotle Citrus Aioli, while my girlfriend chose the Firecracker sauce. Both dipping sauces were excellent and complemented the fries really well. For our entrées, I ordered the Pub Burger with Irish cheddar, onion strings, and horseradish aioli, cooked to order. It was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Roll, and we both enjoyed it. The only item that didn't quite meet our expectations was the macaroni salad that came with our meals. We've had some incredible macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants, and this one just didn't quite compare. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was the one part of the meal that didn't stand out. One thing that really impressed me was how accommodating the staff was regarding my raw fruit allergy. I explained what I could and couldn't safely eat or drink, and our server took it seriously. He made sure every cocktail recommendation was safe for me without sacrificing flavor or experience. That level of attention made me feel comfortable ordering drinks I otherwise might have avoided. The décor is also worth mentioning. The pirate-themed exterior transitions into a fun pirate-and-tiki atmosphere inside that really adds to the experience without feeling overdone. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. The drinks were strong and creative, the food was excellent, the service was some of the best we've had in a long time, and the atmosphere was a blast. There are still plenty of cocktails on the menu that I'd like to try, so we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Burbank.

You couldn't escape the theme anyway and I loved it! We were gathering for a friends birthday and there was 30 of us. Couldn't believe we found enough seats for us in the back area but we did. The staff was there to keep drinks flowing and keep food coming. The portion for their poke nachos was unreal. Do i wish they put a bit more poke on the dish? Yes. But it was still one of my favorite dishes of the night. The drinks were all so cute and they had ample non alcoholic mocktails as well which were yummy. If you want a speakeasy feel (you lieterally go through a secret door in the wall) and an under the sea eperience while ctching up with friends, you can totally do it here. For my friends birthday they rang some bell and all sang happy birthday to her which was so cool. Why was the bathroom the coolest part? They literally have ocean sounds and seaguls for you to hear while using the restroom. Theres even a fan in the bathroom to make you feel like you're next to the ocean because I kept fighting that darn toilet seat cover to stay put. Such a fun night and will be back for the vibes. Special s/o to Amanda and all her crew the night we were there. They helped out with photos, drinks, and keeping food going all night. She had such a great team with her that night. Everyone was helping us out even finding us chairs and clearing tables so we could make room for more food.

Finding Hidden Gems: Art District Brewing in Little Tokyo, LA…read more One of my favorite rituals when traveling is hunting down the best local breweries -- and Los Angeles did not disappoint. Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Little Tokyo, Art District Brewing instantly caught my attention. The atmosphere alone made it worth the visit, with that perfect blend of industrial cool and neighborhood charm that only LA seems to pull off. The tap selection was impressive -- thoughtfully curated and clearly crafted with intention. But honestly? The food is what stole the show. I always love leaning on a server's recommendations, and this time it paid off beautifully. The chicken tenders arrived golden, perfectly crispy on the outside, and impossibly juicy within. These weren't your average bar bites -- they were the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate the moment. Whether you're a craft beer obsessive or simply someone who appreciates great food in a great setting, Art District Brewing belongs on your LA itinerary.
