I was here at 11pm on 3-17-26, St. Patrick's Day. First, it was a ridiculous $30 cover charge that came with a free drink. At the bar there was only one actual bartender, so it took over 30 minutes to get a drink. The other ladies with green tape on their breasts just walked back and forth not really helping anyone unless someone raised their hand. They were also not allowed to help customers using a credit card. I used the coins to get the free ($30, but actually $8 each) green beers. As you can see in the photo, it's mostly foam. And she had the nerve to ask for a tip. Lastly, there were only two stalls on the women's restroom and both were completely out of toilet paper.

I love coming here to watch a football game , or a ufc fight ; it's always a good time. This time around I decided to get some food and it did not disappoint ! Service was super great & we ended up getting the branzino which was surprisingly delicious and the hot wings & lemon pepper . I personally prefer the hot wings but the lemon pepper were still delicious

My second visit and love the ambiance and the food is good too. My first visit I ordered the fish and chips but the first unfortunately a bit undercooked on one piece. My friend had the bangers and mash which he enjoyed. Yesterday I went with the Tonny burger and it was very flavorful that went well with my black and tan.

What proper Irish pub would serve Guinness in a plastic cup?!? These guys need to do their jobs

This place use to be good. Who serves Guinness in a plastic cup?? These guys need to do their jobs and wash the glasses besides making excuses. Meanwhile others walked off with glasses. No one monitoring anything. Dirty and dead place.

I found this bar underground while walking with my boyfriend through DTLA after a jazz night, I loved the ambiance and the decorations. There are pool tables and games to play. The bartenders had a great conversation with my boyfriend and I, made us feel welcome. I loved that one of them also turned up the music when he saw me dancing in my chair, they have great music and drinks.

Ask the Community - Casey's Irish Pub

Is there an elevator for restricted mobility customers?

    There is no elevator

    Still allow smoking outside?

    Yes.

Until what time are you open tonight?

Hello, sorry for the late answer. We were opened yesterday till 2 a.m. Today we are also working from 4 p.m. till 2 a.m.…

    Is this place closed permanently?

Nope. They're coming back in one form or another. Just taking forever!

    Do they show ufc fights?

    They do not.

    Is this business kid friendly?

I would say no. It's all adults, drinking and playing pool. Just having a good time. Could you get away with sneaking a kid in, maybe, but I wouldn't bring my kids here. Just my friends 👭

Do they show the international rugby games live?

They have direct TV. If you know what channel it's playing on, they should be able to show it. Especially if it's a big game.

Is this a good spot where Eagles fans meet for games?

I can't say if this is an "official - unofficial" meeting spot for Eagles fans, but there is definitely enough space and privacy in parts of the bar where anyone can meet up for any sporting event.

Do they stream the online/app ESPN + through the TVs? It is not on Live Tv only online at espn.com or through their app for ESPN+, pub would have to have roku or something similar to stream it through their TVs for West Brom vs Villa

I believe it is live TV.

Do you need to pay to get into the fair?

Hi Ivan. Are you referring to our St. Patrick’s Day festival?

Will there be green beer at the street fair this year?

    Yes

This was one of our favorite places in pre-pandemic Pasadena. We had some "could have been better"…read moreexperiences during the awkward period of reopening several years ago, but since then it seems to have mostly hit its stride. Overall, our recent experiences have been solid. It's always great when an "old favorite" still feels like a good value. I miss some of the menu items like the lentil shepherd's pie, but we have very much enjoyed the hearty English breakfast. They also have a good selection of European beers on tap. Service has been friendly, but it is lightly staffed and pretty slow, so it's not a good place if you are in a hurry. They don't keep an eye on the patio, so if you sit out there, it's best to go inside and let them know. They also seem to have more rules than before - but I have to imagine these have come from experience. I don't think this is an ideal place to go with a large group. If it's a quiet night you might be able to pull tables together long-ways, but most tables seem ideal for 2-4. We come with our dog and sit on the patio when it isn't busy. The dog meals are massive (more food than ours eats in a whole day and she weighs 60 lbs). It's a good value, but beware if your dog is on a diet! Overall, my favorite thing is that genuinely feels like a pub, in that you can just come as you are and take your time without being rushed. A good fit for both locals and visitors in Pasadena.

My best experiences have been when I sit at the bar (alone or with friends), drinks only. Even at that, the service has rarely been stellar. Sierra Madre is the exception as far as the service is concerned. Never have had bad service there. The other 2 locations.....meh! The Old Town location is the worst as far as comfort is concerned. Super cramped and claustrophobic. No elbow room whatsoever. The other two locations aren't as tight but still need better spacing. The food here is mediocre at very best. The traditional Fish and Chips equal 3 words.....soggy, Soggy and.....SOGGY!! Crisp isn't even in their vocabulary. Both, Fish and Chips are very under-seasoned and just very disappointing and unappealing. The "Bangers and Mash" are equally disappointing. Are you serious.....deep frying the Brats to "finish them off "? The flavorless Mashed and Gravy really seal this dish as a sucker's bet. And don't get me started on the nasty frozen peas that they serve. The British Curry is the best of the traditional fare and it is barely average. Desperately in need of flavor. I go to the East Pasadena location on New Year's Eve to meet a very large group of motorcyclists for a ride, but after 3 years in a row of very disappointing breakfasts now all I do is meet them there and ride. I mean, have you ever had greasy pancakes?! And the kitchen couldn't cook an egg to order if their lives depended on it! I have to say that they do have a couple tasty Burgers though. Not what most go to an "English Pub" for but pretty much the best stuff on the menu is in burger form. The "English" is a pretty solid burger, well rounded flavors and a big seasoned and juicy patty. The "Irish" is good too. I just don't understand the Swiss Cheese, why not an Irish Cheddar?! The rest their Burgers/Sandwiches seem very uninspired, something you can get in just about every restaurant in America! Do yourself a favor and get the Steak Fries (well done) with your Burger, not the soggy homemade Fries. I went this Sunday 07/05 with some out of town guests to hit up a futbol match. They wanted to watch in a "real pub atmosphere", and had heard of Lucky Baldwins on Big Bang Theory. There was 7 of us and we arrived early enough to get a good table for the match. The place was virtually empty when we got there but filled up quickly. We all ordered our beers, then my buddies unloaded on some appetizers....5 Scotch Eggs, 2 Irish Nachos (with Steak Fries, no Tomato) and 2 Buffalo Cauliflower (1 with no sauce). Everyone Loved the Scotch Eggs, they were grub. The Grain Mustard is such a compliment. The Cauliflower was very good, with a crispy breading and very well seasoned. The Buffalo Sauce added a great kick but the Bleu Cheese Dressing was not up to par.....watery and where was the Bleu Cheese?! Our Irish Nachos were decent but came with Tomatoes (which I cannot eat). I do have to say that they do have a great variety of ale and beers. They are a little pricey though. Go for the beer, stay for the beer, be mindful of what you order!

    - Broken Compass Tiki…read more My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Broken Compass Tiki. I originally found it on TikTok, followed up with a few YouTube videos, and knew I had to check it out the next time we were in Burbank. It completely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in Burbank, but we got lucky and found a street parking spot nearby. If you don't get as lucky, driving around the block or into the surrounding neighborhood should eventually turn something up. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, and there were already several people inside. By the time we left, the place was filling up quickly, so it's definitely a popular spot. I surprised my girlfriend by keeping the destination a secret and just telling her we were going somewhere fun with a unique theme. She loved it. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Both the bartender and our server were incredibly welcoming. Our server asked whether it was our first visit and took the time to ask what kinds of drinks we normally enjoy before making recommendations. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell us. Instead, he explained why he thought certain cocktails were better choices based on our preferences, and every recommendation ended up being spot on. As you'd expect from a tiki bar, the cocktail menu is heavily rum-focused, but there are also non-alcoholic drinks, a small beer selection, and wine available if rum isn't your thing. I ordered the Zombie Magic first, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. After that, I tried the 100 Year Cigar, a Scotch-based cocktail that was perfect for slowly sipping. Both drinks were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Painkiller and the Navy Grog, and she loved both of them. We started with the Shut It Polly wings, crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and they were outstanding. We also ordered the Aloha Dippers with the Cajun seasoning. I paired mine with the Chipotle Citrus Aioli, while my girlfriend chose the Firecracker sauce. Both dipping sauces were excellent and complemented the fries really well. For our entrées, I ordered the Pub Burger with Irish cheddar, onion strings, and horseradish aioli, cooked to order. It was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Roll, and we both enjoyed it. The only item that didn't quite meet our expectations was the macaroni salad that came with our meals. We've had some incredible macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants, and this one just didn't quite compare. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was the one part of the meal that didn't stand out. One thing that really impressed me was how accommodating the staff was regarding my raw fruit allergy. I explained what I could and couldn't safely eat or drink, and our server took it seriously. He made sure every cocktail recommendation was safe for me without sacrificing flavor or experience. That level of attention made me feel comfortable ordering drinks I otherwise might have avoided. The décor is also worth mentioning. The pirate-themed exterior transitions into a fun pirate-and-tiki atmosphere inside that really adds to the experience without feeling overdone. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. The drinks were strong and creative, the food was excellent, the service was some of the best we've had in a long time, and the atmosphere was a blast. There are still plenty of cocktails on the menu that I'd like to try, so we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Burbank.

This place really made you feel like Captain Jack Sparrow was going to jump out at every corner. It so themed for a tiki bar, but if pirates and mermaids had a place to hang out this would be that place. From the decor to the detailed bathroom sounds and the menu item names. You couldn't escape the theme anyway and I loved it! We were gathering for a friends birthday and there was 30 of us. Couldn't believe we found enough seats for us in the back area but we did. The staff was there to keep drinks flowing and keep food coming. The portion for their poke nachos was unreal. Do i wish they put a bit more poke on the dish? Yes. But it was still one of my favorite dishes of the night. The drinks were all so cute and they had ample non alcoholic mocktails as well which were yummy. If you want a speakeasy feel (you lieterally go through a secret door in the wall) and an under the sea eperience while ctching up with friends, you can totally do it here. For my friends birthday they rang some bell and all sang happy birthday to her which was so cool. Why was the bathroom the coolest part? They literally have ocean sounds and seaguls for you to hear while using the restroom. Theres even a fan in the bathroom to make you feel like you're next to the ocean because I kept fighting that darn toilet seat cover to stay put. Such a fun night and will be back for the vibes. Special s/o to Amanda and all her crew the night we were there. They helped out with photos, drinks, and keeping food going all night. She had such a great team with her that night. Everyone was helping us out even finding us chairs and clearing tables so we could make room for more food.

Finding Hidden Gems: Art District Brewing in Little Tokyo, LA…read more One of my favorite rituals when traveling is hunting down the best local breweries -- and Los Angeles did not disappoint. Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Little Tokyo, Art District Brewing instantly caught my attention. The atmosphere alone made it worth the visit, with that perfect blend of industrial cool and neighborhood charm that only LA seems to pull off. The tap selection was impressive -- thoughtfully curated and clearly crafted with intention. But honestly? The food is what stole the show. I always love leaning on a server's recommendations, and this time it paid off beautifully. The chicken tenders arrived golden, perfectly crispy on the outside, and impossibly juicy within. These weren't your average bar bites -- they were the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate the moment. Whether you're a craft beer obsessive or simply someone who appreciates great food in a great setting, Art District Brewing belongs on your LA itinerary.
