I love coming here to watch a football game , or a ufc fight ; it's always a good time. This time around I decided to get some food and it did not disappoint ! Service was super great & we ended up getting the branzino which was surprisingly delicious and the hot wings & lemon pepper . I personally prefer the hot wings but the lemon pepper were still delicious

I was here at 11pm on 3-17-26, St. Patrick's Day. First, it was a ridiculous $30 cover charge that came with a free drink. At the bar there was only one actual bartender, so it took over 30 minutes to get a drink. The other ladies with green tape on their breasts just walked back and forth not really helping anyone unless someone raised their hand. They were also not allowed to help customers using a credit card. I used the coins to get the free ($30, but actually $8 each) green beers. As you can see in the photo, it's mostly foam. And she had the nerve to ask for a tip. Lastly, there were only two stalls on the women's restroom and both were completely out of toilet paper.

My second visit and love the ambiance and the food is good too. My first visit I ordered the fish and chips but the first unfortunately a bit undercooked on one piece. My friend had the bangers and mash which he enjoyed. Yesterday I went with the Tonny burger and it was very flavorful that went well with my black and tan.

What proper Irish pub would serve Guinness in a plastic cup?!? These guys need to do their jobs

This place use to be good. Who serves Guinness in a plastic cup?? These guys need to do their jobs and wash the glasses besides making excuses. Meanwhile others walked off with glasses. No one monitoring anything. Dirty and dead place.

I found this bar underground while walking with my boyfriend through DTLA after a jazz night, I loved the ambiance and the decorations. There are pool tables and games to play. The bartenders had a great conversation with my boyfriend and I, made us feel welcome. I loved that one of them also turned up the music when he saw me dancing in my chair, they have great music and drinks.

They don't pay the bartenders, all the workers who are there aren't getting paid, don't tip . Bartenders don't keep it . They take it all.

Ask the Community - Casey's Irish Pub

Is there an elevator for restricted mobility customers?

    There is no elevator

    Still allow smoking outside?

    Yes.

Until what time are you open tonight?

Hello, sorry for the late answer. We were opened yesterday till 2 a.m. Today we are also working from 4 p.m. till 2 a.m.…

    Is this place closed permanently?

Nope. They're coming back in one form or another. Just taking forever!

    Do they show ufc fights?

    They do not.

    Is this business kid friendly?

I would say no. It's all adults, drinking and playing pool. Just having a good time. Could you get away with sneaking a kid in, maybe, but I wouldn't bring my kids here. Just my friends 👭

Do they show the international rugby games live?

They have direct TV. If you know what channel it's playing on, they should be able to show it. Especially if it's a big game.

Is this a good spot where Eagles fans meet for games?

I can't say if this is an "official - unofficial" meeting spot for Eagles fans, but there is definitely enough space and privacy in parts of the bar where anyone can meet up for any sporting event.

Do they stream the online/app ESPN + through the TVs? It is not on Live Tv only online at espn.com or through their app for ESPN+, pub would have to have roku or something similar to stream it through their TVs for West Brom vs Villa

I believe it is live TV.

Do you need to pay to get into the fair?

Hi Ivan. Are you referring to our St. Patrick’s Day festival?

Will there be green beer at the street fair this year?

    Yes

But...the food in the bar is definitely sub-par. I was really in the mood for the fish & chips ($25) but was very disappointed. The fish tasted doughy not at all crisp, and the fish was not fresh - had an off taste. I hadn't eaten lunch so I was really hungry & I ate it all, but not good. The fries were typical frozen out of a package & were luke warm at best. It came with cole slaw that was slimey & completely inedible - I mean AWFUL! It's a shame because the place has such character & it has a loyal following, The service is amazingly slow. I was at my table for 10 minutes before I got up & snagged a menu myself. Then, another 10 minutes before I got up again & went to the bar to order, but the barman told me that a waiter would come to my table. Many minutes later I finally ordered. My drink & my water glass were empty forever. I finally had to snag down another waiter to get another drink. I probably will come back because I love the cozy Scottish pub atmosphere, but they have a treasured gold mine here and they are squandering it for sure. No one seems to care. What a shame! It could easily be a really top notch spot. I'm giving this place 3 stars solely for the ambiance.

There's tons of ways to make veganized versions of traditional items and even if there's no meat substitute, adding vegan butter/cheese would open up a lot of options for guests. But! Overall, our recent experiences have been solid. It's always great when an "old favorite" still feels like a good value. I miss some of the menu items like the lentil shepherd's pie, but we have very much enjoyed the hearty English breakfast. They also have a good selection of European beers on tap. Service has been friendly, but it is lightly staffed and pretty slow, so it's not a good place if you are in a hurry. They don't keep an eye on the patio, so if you sit out there, it's best to go inside and let them know. They also seem to have more rules than before - but I have to imagine these have come from experience. I don't think this is an ideal place to go with a large group. If it's a quiet night you might be able to pull tables together long-ways, but most tables seem ideal for 2-4. We come with our dog and sit on the patio when it isn't busy. The dog meals are massive (more food than ours eats in a whole day and she weighs 60 lbs). It's a good value, but beware if your dog is on a diet! Overall, my favorite thing is that genuinely feels like a pub, in that you can just come as you are and take your time without being rushed. A good fit for both locals and visitors in Pasadena.

Never before in my 20 years of coming to this bar, have I ever noticed server or employee of lucky Baldwin's paying more attention to the TVs then to the guests this was very offputting and this guy should not be there if this is how he usually operates very bad experience. During the World Cup we checked out some German beer gardens, and somehow over saw this one,…read morepossibly the only heart-driven authentic German one. The most we have seen so far, it was more a "business plan" let's do what Americans may think a German beer garden looks like. Our friend, the LA promoter Vahe, took us yesterday. We found a little gem, grown over the years, with an actual German owner and a service that had more than basic knowledge of German food. Nice! The ambiance was what you would expect from a place like this, less stylish-designer but more owner look-what-we-brought-from-Germany over the many years. The food was actually good, reasonably priced and generously portioned - the sauce platter really deserved its name "platter"- Came with great German curry ketchup. It would be too much to brag about the food, it was decent better than just OK version of classic beer garden dishes. But one has to be fair: where in German beer gardens you find food really worth bragging about? So while I was really tempted to stop at 4 out of five stars, I give 5. After all, it matches my most key how-to-get-5 element: would I do a 30+ min detour just to go here. If someone asked me to show them decent German cuisine in a somewhat authentic ambiance, I would take them here. The Kiez may be closer to our home, the Wirtshaus more stylish, but here we found the hearty welcome we missed elsewhere.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. I ordered the chicken schnitzel with mushroom gravy, my boyfriend got the Hungarian brat with spaetzle, and our friend ordered the Hungarian brat on a roll. Starting with the schnitzel: it wasn't completely terrible, but it definitely wasn't good. The breading was some what soggy and sliding off the chicken, and the chicken itself had almost no seasoning besides an odd lemony sourness. The mashed potatoes were honestly awful -- extremely sour, like they were overloaded with sour cream but missing butter, salt, or any real flavor. I LOVE mashed potatoes and only managed two bites before giving up. The red cabbage was overcooked, mushy, and had a slightly off taste. Overall, the schnitzel plate was maybe a 2/10, and those points go solely to the fact that the chicken itself was technically edible. My boyfriend's meal somehow managed to be worse. The bratwurst was fine, but tasted frozen and reheated rather than fresh. The sauerkraut, according to him, "tasted like dirty socks." The spaetzle was genuinely offensive -- mushy, overly bland, and tossed with what looked like hydrated diced mushrooms that literally tasted like dirt. I honestly questioned whether it had gone bad. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself felt dirty and had a strange smell throughout. It honestly seems like a place locals may still visit out of habit or convenience, but it no longer reflects what I imagine it once was. It's unfortunate, because there's something special about a restaurant that's been around for 65 years and still tries to maintain its old-school charm. Sadly, the food and cleanliness just don't live up to that legacy anymore. Save your money unless you're only stopping in for an overpriced German draft beer. We definitely won't be back.
