Pros: Ambiance was super nice. Part craft brewery, part modern Southern brunch joint. Very cozy and inviting. Service was super nice. We got brunch, but we didn't even know they served brunch, so that was a huge bonus. The food was out of this world delicious. And their beer selection was great, too. Far more than your typical selection of only IPAs. Cons: Not a single con. Tips: Come for brunch. Get one of their astounding burgers.

Stopped in around 12:30 on a Wednesday during Restaurant Week since I had the day off and wanted to finally try Beer Kitchen. They did not disappoint. I was not in the mood for beer and it was still fairly early, so I focused on the food and stuck with water for my first course. I started with the chicken thigh fries. They were delicious, just spicy enough, and came with a fantastic dipping sauce. The portion was extremely generous. I would have liked them slightly crispier, but they were still hot, flavorful, and very satisfying. For my main course, I ordered the smashburger and it was excellent from the bun to the patties. Everything worked together perfectly. I added the Parmesan truffle fries and those were also fantastic. I also enjoyed the ketchup flight. The barbecue ketchup did not do much for me, but the classic ketchup and the chipotle ketchup were both great. The restaurant was fairly noisy, but since I was dining alone it did not detract from the experience. Service was fast and friendly, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. It felt like a cool neighborhood spot, and I am glad I am staying nearby while traveling. Overall, a fantastic experience. Now if you will excuse me, I think it is time for a nap. All that food is definitely sitting in my stomach

We are within walking distance to Beer Kitchen and it is one of our favorite places in Westport. We frequently stop in for happy hour but this week took advantage of their restaurant week menu. As always the service is as great and the restaurant is always clean. My husband had an app and entree, I ordered an entree and dessert. Everything was fabulous--as always!

Stopped in for happy hour. I almost always stop by when I'm in Westport, mainly for a quick beer. Every time I've been here it's usually pretty busy. Not overly packed but not empty either. They do have bar seating and tables. Service has always been lovely. They do have food and most of it looks pretty good. I'll have to return to have a proper meal sometime but on my last visit I did try the pretzel twists. They were good but nothing mind blowing. Again, I mostly come for the beer because they usually have lots of great options on tap. And it's probably got the best beer offerings in Westport. Stop by if you're in the area.

First time here and cannot wait to come back. So good! Everyone was friendly, food was fantastic, and I loved the mocktail! Such a cute spot in Westport :) They were out of the chicken thigh fries so I would definitely love to try those on our next visit!

I am in love with this place! Amazing food for a relaxed dining experience. They even have a separate menu just for gluten free people. The mimosa carafe was a good ratio of champaign to orange juice. The Bloody Mary was perfectly spiced and thick. The beer list was endless!! The gluten free mac and cheese was 11/10 good. Highly recommend. The non gluten free people even said it tasted good- that's how you know it's good! The crispy waffle smash burger was a great meal meant perfectly for brunch. They have plenty of seating but make sure to make a reservation. Our server, Paul, was amazing!! He always checked in on us and helped me navigate the gluten free menu. I liked that they have TVs and plenty of beer menus and taps to look at.

Girlfriend and I decided to try a random place in kc and decided on Beer Kitchen. They don't call them damn good burgers for nothing! I had the smokestack my girlfriend had the brickhouse we were both thoroughly impressed with our meal. I think this is my new favorite burger it was so damn good. The zucchini fries were ordered by my gf and she loved them I also enjoyed the one I ate. Service was also excellent, waitress was very friendly and attentive. We will most definitely be coming back.

We ate here on a Friday night after visiting the Art Mueseum and we wanted some place note worth for our KC trip, we ordered the Burnt end nachos, I had the lobster roll, fries and French onion soup. (To get the soup, there was an upcharge, but I was okay with it) My husband ordered the burger, and our kids covered off the kids' menu. Our waitress was awesome and super helpful for our KC adventure. Overall, we were all very happy!

This was our first time going to Kansas City. We were staying in Westport and we decided to take a walk in the snowstorm in the first place we came to was the beer kitchen. Immediately when we walked in the bartender Steven greeted us and made us feel like long lost friends. We decided to sit at the bar because we loved Stephen's energy. We weren't sure what we wanted to drink and he said what's your preference of alcohol? I told him it was vodka and he made me a delicious Caprice and my husband loves tequila and he made him the afternoon delight. We got the appetizer the zucchini fries, and they were amazing. We wish we had it stumbled across this place earlier in our trip, but will definitely be back!

Came in on a Sunday around 12:30. Plenty of parking around Westport. They were serving brunch, I was looking for lunch but very happy with my decision when I saw the menu. Was able to sit down quickly though it was at a community table. People got sat w us, with a spot in between us. I ended up ordering the Dutch baby. It was delicious, I wish they would have skinned the apples though. The rosemary syrup was amazing. I even dipped my breakfast potatoes in it. It was super fluffy like a pancake. A great place to go for lunch or brunch in Westport.

I can't recommend this place enough ! My friend and I accidentally found this spot on accident after visiting the art museum while we were in town and we haven't stopped thinking about it since. We came in for happy hour and ordered drinks, truffle fries, and fried zucchini and were not disappointed. We also ended up ordering the build your own mac n cheese and it was beyond our expectations, with add ins like truffle oil, caramelized onions, and bacon. Our waitress was extremely kind and told us that the cheese sauce and the truffle oil are both made in house which makes sense because the quality was evident. If you're ever in the area this place is not only super cute but also super delicious!

I came down here last Monday after a fantastic time at the Nelson Atkins Museum to grab a quick bite to eat before we headed over to supernatural body piercings. Both my friend I was with and I were craving a burger and I pulled up ye old, trusty yelp and directed us over to this fantastic restaurant. It was patched lunch, rush, and well before dinner rush so we mostly had the restaurant to ourselves, the staff made sure that we were well cared for, and that everything we needed was ordered to perfection. The bathrooms were also very clean and well organized, and the restaurant itself was tidy and had a great ambience. I definitely wanna go back and try more of their unique burgers. I enjoyed the ones we had, also the ranch dressing that clearly is made in house was phenomenal.

Gram & Dun was one of those restaurants. We show up for our reservations and get seated for a wonderful meal. Ambiance was surreal. The vibes inside were that of a modern Italian kitchen inside of a Southern parlor room. I know that doesn't make any sense, but it's true. And the restaurant looks out upon the quaint downtown street of this Kansas City suburb through giant, floor-to-ceiling windows. So beautiful. Service was great, as well. The server knew the menu very well, and was able to answer a few questions, guiding me to the correct thing to order. The apps, entrees, and dessert were all paced well, too. Service lead to a lovely evening. As for the food, we started off with the Not-So-Standard Potato Chips (parmesan, sauce flight: gold sauce, comeback sauce, black pepper bourbon ketchup). These were very good. House cooked chips that were just thick enough, had a good bite to them, and were absolutely covered in luscious parm. The sauce flight was fun, too. Keep the leftovers around to pair with the rest of your meal. Onto the Low Country Pimento Cheese (fried saltine crackers, candied black pepper bacon, bread & butter pickles, tomato jalapeño jam). Hillbilly charcuterie. Lots of fun to mix and match some bacon, some pickles, a little jam, all on those very unctuous Saltines. Very fun app. My main was the Brick Pressed Chicken (lemon & thyme brine, prosciutto & sausage bread pudding, caramelized cabbage, lemon & shallot cream sauce). Chicken was cooked to a charred perfection, that savory bread pudding was just an amazing as it sounds, and the cream sauce really brightened everything up. I don't usually get chicken, but I'm telling you, this was the chicken to get. I also got to try one of the nightly specials, some sort of cheesy parmesan pasta covered in black truffle shavings. It was as extravagant as it sounds. Fresh-made pastas, giant chunks of lobster, cheesy ooey gooey, and those truffle shavings add just a touch of class and umami that really made this a good pasta dish. We finished up with the Gram & Dun Bar (chocolate peanut and pretzel nougat, marshmallow cream cheese, chocolate mousse, peanut butter ice cream). Again, another thing I don't usually go for, the dessert bar, but this place did it in a way I haven't seen before. Each layer added to the dessert. Nougat, cream cheese, and mousse, all tied together with that cold, creamy peanut butter ice cream. So so good. Overall, as good as this place was on paper, Gram & Dun really blew me away. Really elegant food, found right in the heart of the country. It was a pleasant surprise, and I would come back in a heartbeat.

The chicken was perfect, hard to mess up chicken and waffles, I know, but it was still on point. The salmon dish was excellent and flavorful. They were clearly short staffed. Felt bad for her. She came over, apologized, and took our drink orders. The adults had coffee and the younger ones had water and lemonade. Our coffee was warm. Not hot, just warm. We ordered the cinnamon roll and the goat cheese sampler. Boith were tasty. For our meals, I ordered the Rye Breakfast with over medium eggs. For those that don't know, over medium is a fine line between runny yolk and cooked all the way yolk. My eggs were basically over easy. Check the picture. It was yolk all through the plate. My gravy was cold and the biscuit was hard as a rock. The only thing I ate was the bacon from my meal. My hash brown tasted like oil and was hard and cold. My kids didn't like their pancakes. The oldest said it was too doughy and was cold. I also asked for no oranges on top but, they both had oranges. The youngest one just didn't eat it at all after one bite. Hubs meal was also cold. We have been here for Easter brunch two years in a row. Last year was fantastic, no notes. This…read moreyear was a bit of a letdown. The prime rib was dry, chewy, and a bit overcooked. That should be a centerpiece, and it was disappointing. There was one broccolini dish that the sign said was with lemon butter and cotija cheese, but appeared to be just steamed broccolini with absolutely no seasoning. I asked and was told they wanted to keep it vegan, but..... seriously, no salt? Pepper? Oil? Apparently not, just sad, plain broccolini. They did at least white out the accompaniments on the sign to correct themselves, so that's something I guess, but you really do expect something better from an establishment like this. The server was attentive to our drinks- the brunch was bottomless- but hard to find to get the check. The biggest weak spot both years has been the dessert table. There were perhaps five small desserts on a small cocktail table. Really not what you'd expect. The bacon was pretty good, however, you often find a lot of undercooked bacon on buffets. One conspicuously good thing is that, unlike so many other places on Easter, the tables were spaced well apart. Many places will pack the diners in like sardines, and this was not the case here- we had ample room to move about. Altogether, Grand Street needs to step it up for Easter Brunch. There just wasn't really anything special about it, and some elements were very much lacking. It didn't feel like a brunch you go to in celebration, which in my opinion an Easter brunch should. Nothing stood out, it was fairly plain [including decor] and it just needed MORE.
