My home had a clogged kitchen sink for two days and the clog was farther down the pipes than I could fix myself, well beyond the p trap. I called Bee's this morning around 9am and at 12:30pm one of their trucks arrived! I appreciate the same-day, prompt response. The two employees, PJ and Matthew were excellent. They clearly explained what the problem likely was, and were transparent about the price. About an hour and 15 minutes later they had cleared the clog (about 30 feet down!). Last week, we learned the best time to install a new water heater is when you get the quote-- not a year later when the dang thing dies suddenly. PJ, Jim, and the whole Bee's team made what could've been an absolute nightmare into an easy, straightforward experience. We'd gotten a quote to replace our old water heater in 2022, but ultimately didn't pull the trigger. When it died last week, we knew we should've just replaced the thing in 2022. We also knew we'd be stuck paying 2023 rates as inflation and whatnot continue to impact prices. First off, we were thrilled to find out that PJ, who gave us the quote in 2022 and was familiar with our house/water heater, would be working with us this time too. It may seem small, but that attention to detail is huge for us. He also took the time to review every option and line item with us to give us maximum control over which features to add or not add. And he didn't give us any flak when we didn't choose the most expensive setup! The replacement went off without a hitch. PJ and Jim were professional, polite, efficient, and proactive in everything they did. You know how you always dread losing a full day of work when any tradesmen are at your house? Not a problem with these guys. My spouse and I were able to work all day with minimal interruptions, which is really just the cherry on top. I came home to a near disaster with my primary bedroom bathroom toilet overflowing and water seeping into my carpeted closet. I called around and landed on Bee's (haha) who were able to get out to me sooner than anyone else could. Their employee John was amazing. He had the sense of urgency that really comforted me. He was able to find the rare part that was needed for my out of the ordinary toilet. He waited around to ensure that the proper care was used with turning off the main water shutoff in my condo. He even helped the concierge move a very heavy fridge to get to the shutoff. It is not easy to have a stranger in your home, I always feel weird when service providers are in space, let alone in such a private one. John did not make me feel awkward, he made me feel comforted. As a Seattle area Realtor, I am asked for contractors and vendors daily. If anyone asks for a plumber, I recommend Bee's without hesitation. last year, in the middle of the Pandemic, our hot water heater in a rental sprung a leak. I called several places and was told 2 weeks at best. An old timer, mentioned Bee's & I gave them a call. When I explained my situation, they had someone out within the hour. Today I was getting another rental ready for market & my handyman said he could not find the proper pipe to reconnect the gas stove. I called Bee's. They answered right away. I asked if it would be cheaper to wait till Monday. They said they do not differentiate weekend/weekdays. I'll cut to the chase: Bee's is very good and very expensive. If you're looking for bottom-dollar quotes, you'll probably want to go elsewhere as Bee's tends to be 1.5x-2x the cost of other firms. I had a sewer inspection on my new house and it was about twice what other places charge, and even more if you wanted a copy of the video. However, they were super communicative, very detailed, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The technician answered a ton of my questions and gave lots of helpful advice to help me care for my home. If you want high quality, I'd happily recommend them--just be aware it comes with a price to match. read more

From the opposite side of the house, I heard an odd water rushing sound coming from the master bathroom. Running to see what the noise was, I discovered a fountain of water spewing from the wall behind my toilet hitting the ceiling and creating a little pond in the bathroom. I turned off the water from the wall (getting soaked in the process) and called around for a plumber. The Bee's team were the only ones with a human who answered. They were at my house within the hour and it was fixed with me only missing one work meeting. AMAZING. Plus the customer service from the first phone call (sorry I didn't get your name!) to the service technicians (Cameron and Adam) was excellent. I now consider this business my go-to plumbers. We recently had a water shutoff valve problem which required replacement and Bee's had the quickest and most professional response to my request for a bid. They were great with scheduling and follow up and gave us a heads up when the tech was on route. On site, Zane and his partner were fantastic and worked with us to find the best solution to our problem. Additionally they wore protective gear and shoe covers which we greatly appreciated. Bees Plumbing reached out to me twice. On the second call, we made a deal for a discount off the final price in exchange for a removal of the original review or a 5-star review. I agreed and edited the review, but after thinking about it, it didn't sit well with me and I'd like to write an honest review. If Bee's is reading this, you are welcome to rescind the discount offer in exchange for a 5 star review. Here's my review: I have no problem with the work that technician Adam did. The job was well done, and he was polite and professional. It's the cost that I have a problem with. 2 hours and 20 minutes of work came out to $1680.97 ($1071.24 to replace a main water valve and about 1.5 - 2ft of PVC to metal pipe, and $450 to cut out a 1.5ft square piece of drywall). A T&M (time and material) rate is typically $200/hr. However, Bee's doesn't do T&M, they do upfront pricing which if expressed as an hourly rate, is anywhere from ~$325-$500/hr to account for the risk that a job would take longer than expected. With a T&M rate, my job would have been ~$500-$700. With Bee's, it was more than double that because not only did they charge for plumbing, but they charged an additional $450 to cut out a small piece of drywall. In my case, I think I would have gotten a better price if I went with a plumber who did time and materials, but it was my first time hiring a plumber and I wasn't aware of what rates were like, and given that there was no water coming into my home, I rushed and agreed to the job. If you're reading this and looking for a plumber, please be aware of what rates are like and shop around. read more

Our shower faucet was leaking and I knew the issue was the shower cartridge, but we didn't want to mess with the plumbing because of how old the shower handles were, so we contacted Bee's. Tate and Loc arrived at their earliest convenience and on time as promised. Tate explained that it was the shower cartridge but because it's so old and stems were stripped it couldn't be turned anymore. We ended up replacing the entire 3 handle shower valve system so that there won't be any more issues or the chance of the other valve leaking too. Handles are now new and no more leaks! Tate also pointed out water valves that has been galvanized and recommended that I speak with our landlord about it for any future repairs (he even sent me an estimate for that project if the landlord is interested!). I will definitely be reaching out to Bee's Plumbing again for more plumbing issues! Thank you Tate and Loc! read more

Had several problems in an old house, resulting in need for fast response and quick fixes. In both cases, Bee's Plumbing got everything squared away and working properly as quickly as reasonably possible. In one case, the plumber worked past the normal end-of-day time to make sure our toilets were usable. I do believe he had to explain to his wife why he wasn't home at the usual time. I had a plugged kitchen sink that evaded my best efforts to clear. I was referred to Bee's Plumbing from a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and the amount of communication via text and email and from the receptionist. When the plumbers arrived I was greeted by PJ and Brian who were friendly, recommended a minor update to my pipes to assist with future challenges, provided an estimate, quickly resolved my clog, (they snaked approximately 75'!), throughly cleaned after themselves and for much lower than I would have expected from other plumbing companies. After a prior poor experience and 1-star review, a manager at Bee's contacted me and was very apologetic both for the poor work and the lack of follow-up on my original complaint. He quickly refunded the prior trip charge I paid and offered to do some free work to show me what "5-star service" is all about. He was very persistent and eventually sent us Marcus to look at a few plumbing odds and ends around the house. Ultimately, they installed a free instant hot water heater and fixed a few other nagging issues entirely for free. The price was a lot more than I expected and was about 6x more than the lowest bid I got. The difference and why I paid what I did is 3 fold: 1. You get what you pay for, 2. They answered same day (yesterday 4/13) 3. They had people available the next day (Today 4/14) to do the work. I could have probably even negotiated with them if I had felt like it, but they had 1 plumber and at least 1 of the other two were trainees working to get into the field. I was willing to pay a bit more to support them in making sure we have well trained people. When they showed up they were professional and prepared to do the work. They even helped with a screw for another valve for the toilet and adjusted the tank when they were making sure the screw worked and I hadn't tightened the tank down enough. They made sure to inspect for leaks and they were very nice to work with. The extra mile, training of people, and great attitude made it a 10/10 experience. read more

I called Bee's after a contractor made an absolute mess of my new master bath plumbing. Tate, my plumber, gave me an honest quote and replumbed my entire bathroom... get this... without ripping anything but a little sheetrock! What really set him apart was pride he takes in his work. He clearly thought hard about how to make my plumbing safe but without demoing half my house. He did the little things well, which gave me more confidence that he did the whole job well! As an example, I just noticed that he cut back some drywall in my garage ceiling on a tape seam, so my drywall repair can sit right up against a square edge. As another example, he went beyond what was strictly necessary to redo the connection into my existing plumbing. Even though "it worked now", he made it safer and more robust for the long term. He was also patient and answered my maybe too many questions. I can't recommend him enough! I hope I don't need to call a plumber for anything else, but if I do, Bee's has made a customer for life. read more

Honestly felt like a bait and switch. I explained the problem we had with our tankless water heater in detail when I called. The dispatcher was very responsive and scheduled to send a truck within a few days, for a $99 dispatch fee. So far so good. When the truck arrived, the two guys were courteous and professional. I explained the issue exactly as I had done before. They looked at the water heater for about two minutes but then immediately said that they couldn't figure anything out until I paid $330 diagnostic fee. I tried to get a better sense of whether my concerns were even warranted, or if what we were seeing was normal for a tankless heater. He really insisted that he couldn't say anything else without a $330 diagnostic fee. I politely declined. If it'll cost $330 just to look at the problem, just tell me it costs $330 upfront--don't say it will be $99 to come out but then immediately say it costs more to look at the problem. Or, as a friend later said when I told them of this experience--"You actually paid them $100?! For what? To come out and say hello?!" Since they were there and I figured this trip already cost me $100, I also asked about another minor repair that I was planning to do myself for a leaking bathroom faucet. Super easy repair, very common failure point. I ordered a cartridge from Delta Faucet already, but the shipment was stuck in the mail. I asked if they could sell me the (super common) part that I needed. The plumber said he knew exactly which part I needed and that it was in his truck, but he could only sell it to me if I pay for the entire repair. Okay, I guess that's fair, they reserve their supplies for their own jobs and don't want to be liable for customer repairs. I asked him to please just check the part in their van and confirm whether I had ordered the correct part. "Umm... sure, I guess I can do that," he hesitated. After I paid their fee, the two sat in their truck in front of my house for a few minutes typing up a visit summary and additional estimates. I asked him again from outside if he can please just let me know if I had the correct part, as I was eager to fix my faucet. "Okay, yeah, I'll see what I can do," he says. Instead he sent me a bunch of estimates for repair. $330 if I have them come back out to look at the water heater. $450 to change out the faucet part. It lists all the *super difficult* things he would have to do to change out a faucet cartridge: "Replace faucet hot and cold cartridges in an attempt to repair faucet. Includes disassembly of faucet, ordering parts, installation of new internal parts and existing faucet parts/trim." It even recommended "faucet replacement" as an alternative. Oh boy. And he doesn't send me the part number. Instead of giving Bee's Plumbing another $450, I waited for my (correct) part to come in the mail for free from Delta Faucet. I fixed it myself in less than ten minutes, and I'm not even handy. It really wasn't difficult-- there are a lot of great YouTube videos showing the whole process. And I definitely didn't need to change the whole faucet. What a waste of $100. read more

Thank you Garrett!!! I just had Garrett out two nights ago to help me with my running toilet. He even worked late just to give me a special appointment after 5 PM. I've already had to take so much time off work for doctors appointments and such it was so nice that he was willing to accommodate my late schedule and work late. He showed up on time and even put his booties on before entering my home to protect my carpet. We called him out to fix the toilet we tried to self install. I learned my lesson on this one! Just call professional the first time. Luckily it was a quick and easy fix. He told us we actually did the install correctly and set the toilet right but it was running for some reason and he was able to make some adjustments in the back and we were good to go. The best part about the whole appointment is that we had our old toilet sitting on our back deck for almost a year and he happily took that back to his shop and dumped it for us.
