Bee's plumbing is totally unreliable. They cancelled one appointment for service and rescheduled later in the week. I confirmed my rescheduled appointment in the morning for service from 12-4pm. I did not answer the phone when they were ready to send a plumber so Bee's didn't keep the appointment. And they don't bother to tell you this when you schedule. Incredibly frustrating. Bee's plumbing promptly followed up the next day. They arrived shortly after the phone call. The job was completed in no time. I greatly appreciate their quick response to my concerns. On two occassions at two different homes Bee's helped us fix our plumbling problems quickly. At our previous residence, Bee's replaced our tankless water heater. They were able to inspect, quote, and install immediately. It was super efficient, they did a great job, and the cost was fair. At our current residence, we had blockage in our dishwasher hose leading to the sink, forcing water up through the air gap. We called them and they were able to send Julio out in a couple of days. Julio cleared the blockage quickly and tested the dishwasher a few times to make sure everything was functioning correctly. We have been impressed with Bee's so far and will definately be reaching out to them for our future plumbing needs. read more

Tried showering on Wednesday night and our shower diverter suddenly stopped working. Was able to get in touch with Bee's plumbing that afternoon and they had a technician out the next day. Josh & TD were able to replace just the center diverter without needing to replace the full 3 set of handles (much more cost friendly option). They also replaced an angle valve on the bathroom toilet that wasn't working and installed a replacement pump I had been planning on replacing. They were very professional and super helpful. Our tankless water heater went out and I reached trying to find a same day plumber to help us out. Bee's responded almost immediately to my request and sent someone out before the end of the day. Their service was absolutely stellar. The lady who answered my call was friendly and helpful and within 2 hours, Marcus was at my door. He was friendly, professional, and even my cats liked him (they don't generally care for anybody). He quickly got to work and i'm not much more time than it takes to write a review I had a brand new working garbage disposal. The only negative is the cost for service seems on the high side. An itemized estimate/invoice also would have been helpful. Between work and other commitments I didn't really have time to do much research or comparison shop, but I later looked up the disposal model they installed online and based on retail prices, I think I probably could have found a better deal if I had more time. TLDR: You might be able to find a better price from somebody else, but you won't find better service. read more

I need to say... In this day and age it is extremely rare that any company follows up as much as Bee's has. Not only did the call center person call me but the owner did to make sure that I was taken care of. Whatever the cause and result....(took me almost a month to get back to them)... to me that shows professionalism and commitment to your reputation and goodwill. I would keep this company in your short list just for that. Maybe the lesson learned is get written or recorded quotes for whatever services could be needed to fully understand between anyone on the phone and the person who eventually shows up to do the work. Kudo's to the owner of Bee's plumbing.. The fact that they took the time to call me a few times and follow up to figure things out.. That's the best service company response since this darn bug shut everyone down. These days the response is normally,, "Don't like it, find someone else or even good luck...". Bee's cared to follow up.... Apparently the variation on rates can be extreme between companies, so just need to be absolutely clear what you get for your $$. read more

I initially contacted the company last week to come out and do an estimate for an adjustment to my HVAC system layout - they said they didn't normally do this type of work one-off but would send someone out to do an estimate and see what was feasible. Before getting off the phone they wanted to charge to even come out - which I promptly said no thanks, I'll resource elsewhere. Whomever I talked to said they would waive the fee but if an emergency came up they have to reschedule. Within 30 minutes they called to say an emergency came up scheduled for the same day as my apt. It's the season - fine, I get it. So then I reschedule for Monday (today) at 9am - and they call 15 minutes before the apt to say the person they were sending is out sick and won't be available for another week. Apparently they only have 1 person to do estimates? Completely would not recommend based on their accountability of keeping an appointment alone - extremely unprofessional. On top of several other reviews highlighting they are over priced - happy I didn't waste any money or any more time entertaining a company that can't even respect prospective customers. read more

They refunded the $100 and they've been hounding me to update my review. Here's the update. Charging a $100 for an estimate was okay when I assumed that they would provide a reasonable quote. But charging $100 to provide an outrageous quote (2X as much as two other companies) was not okay. Yes, they care about their reputation, but they didn't care about fair business practices. And then I got non-stop calls (one a day, at least) asking to "make things right", citing their dependence on reviews to grow their small business. A huge shoutout to PJ for coming out and fixing our water heater. We have been out of hot water for 3 going on 4 days. We had asked 6 different plumbing companies to diagnose and fix our water heater only to be told that we should completely replace the water heater or change it to a tankless system. The plumbers would look a the water heater, not even get their hands dirty, and told they weren't able to fix the problem. That was super discouraging. PJ came out on Sunday morning and was extremely resourceful and was able to get our water heater running in less than an hour. He took time to do his due diligence by looking at the water heater in detail and now we have hot water! PJ and his teammate were resourceful, looked at the manual for added assurance and were professional throughout the whole process. I contacted Bee's and they scheduled someone to come out right away and they fixed it...it was something I could have fixed, it just needed tightening. I was immediately reached out by Melissa and her team and they went above and beyond to ensure that my service request was taken care of. They accommodated my appointment after few days and followed up to make sure that the maintenance was done on time. Five stars for customer service they provided. We have a rental in the Seattle area that is tenant occupied, and we were notified that there was no hot water. I sent a request to Bee's Plumbing and Heating , and was answered promptly that they could help us. They contacted the tenant and set up an appointment to accommodate them. I procrastinated on getting my tankless water heater looked at for a while even though it was causing problems. Another company came and serviced it but it didn't help. Finally, it just wasn't heating the house anymore and I didn't know why I was punishing myself so I found Bee's. They scheduled an appointment quickly and Adam and Marcos were knowledgeable, friendly, and very skilled. I now have a working hot water heater! I can run the shower and the heat at the same time. Or, turn on both shower heads in the master bath without the unit shutting down. I haven't been able to do that in almost 3 years! Negative: The plumber had an 8am to 4pm arrival window, confirmed by text in the morning. The plumber never showed up. Called at 4:30, was told I was next up and that the plumber would show up by 6. I have used Bee's Plumbing 3 times now. From what I have seen, they identify something isn't up to code, fixate on that fact, and then give you a crazy expensive bid for a bunch of work to bring it up to code rather than offer any creative solutions to solve the problem. It would be great if my 60+ year old house was up to modern plumbing code, but it isn't (and never will be with the prices they estimate!). I love that the company is family owned, the apprenticeship model (they have an apprentice do the work under supervision), that their plumbers are licensed and background checked, and that the company is licensed, bonded, and insured. I also understand operating a business of that caliber costs money... but charging $450 to spend 15 minutes snaking a drain is kind of crazy, so I am undecided about whether I will use them again in the future. read more

I am making a yelp profile just to review Bee's Plumbing. Under no circumstances should you ever hire them to help with your plumbing issues. I called them yesterday for what was a simple project of a stuck Moen cartridge in our shower valve. Wife came into our room Thursday complaining about no hot water at our upstairs bath. I figured it was an old shower valve cartridge not allowing a proper mix. Easy replacement. Took of fixtures and attempted to pull out the cartridge. The core came off with the cartridge remover I purchased but had left the brass core that was oxidized into the surrounding shower valve. I didn't have the tools and was at my wits end after moving into our home a week and a half earlier. The technician showed up and told me there was no way to remove the brass casing and that it would be a full shower valve replacement. estimating $1500 for the job which I would call steep but fair for the work. He then requested to shut off my main water line. I had been working the main gate valve line for the last two days on and off for my own amateur work And being careful to go slow with it because of their notorious ability to fail. The minute he touched it he started cranking it left and right and all of a sudden the gate failed and we were stuck on minimal pressure (thankfully closed). We located the street shut off and turned the water to the property off but obviously now our attention turned from the stuck valve cartridge to the broken main line valve. He insisted that the failure was natural which in some parts may have been but may have been due to the force with which was exerted on the valve. because of our "oxidized copper pipes and sweating work already done on the piping leading to street and main valve he insisted he could try replacing the gate but there would be no guarantee or warranty associated and quoted over 3k for the work. He also said if he couldn't fix the gate he would have to completely redo piping from the street to the meter and find a new access point to the house for our main line and quoted 20k for that job... needless to say we were shocked. A simple job had turned to a major repair before our eyes. I called my friend who had done a lot of his own plumbing work and he assured me that the major repairs quoted were not necessary - simply try as hard as we could to get the gate valve stuck open and only use the street shut off. We were able to open the valve after an hour and shut off the street water source again. From there we used a simple 1/2 inch tap to thread holes into the brass casing of the leftover shower cartridge and used a 1/2 bolt and nut with some washers to free the old casing. It took a one trip to home depot - $40 in supplies and 1 hour to complete with drive time. this isn't something a licensed plumber would know to do? How can that be? 1. Either our plumber was incompetent which may be the case. Or 2. It is Bee's business model to charged $99 for a consultation and run up the price on unsuspecting people. I guess its the same wall of information that exists between a mechanic and a customer. If you are at the repair shop they figure they can hoodwink you on anything. With that being said my friend who helped with the repairs had said that a small local plumber was the one who taught him the threading technique that accomplished our job and that he didn't charge him for it when the same instance had occurred to him. I'm now $107 dollars poorer and have a broken main gate valve to thank them for. Under no circumstances should you hire Bees. If you absolutely need a plumber use a local group and save yourself time and blood pressure medication. read more

We called Bee's because our garbage disposal stopped working, and after trying several things decide we needed some professional help. Jake and his apprentice showed up and were able to install a new one in less than 2 hours! The process was super easy. They gave me several options for replacement and were very respectful of my home. That's not always the case with this kind of service so was much appreciated. They even cleaned up under the sink so I didn't have to. Would definitely use Bee's again. read more

We had a very good experience with Bee's Plumbing. Dmitri and his plumbing assistant were prompt, tidy and efficient. Dmitri explained a couple of different options to address my leaking problem. One solution was to fix my leak. The other more extensive solution would fix my problem long term. I originally chose the least expensive and time efficient route. Once Dmitri dug into my issues he brought me back into the discussion to point out a few things about old galvanized plumbing. He showed me a length of pipe that needed replacement that was more than 75% clogged with rust after 60 something years. He explained this was very common on homes that used this type of drain pipes 60 years ago. He insisted he could address my original problem but it was only a short term fix that will present itself somewhere else another day. In short, my problem wasn't going to go away forever. I quickly convinced myself that Dmitri's recommended repair that was thousands of dollars, not hundreds, was going to be my best overall solution. Thank you Dmitri and crew and Bee's Plumbing for a timely and thorough repair. I couldn't be more satisfied with our experience. I spent more than I expected but definitely got my moneys worth. Good plumbers aren't cheap but cheap plumbers aren't good, so there's that. read more
