Near Labour Day 2021, I noticed that there were puddles of water in my second…read morebathroom, and freaked out - I couldn't tell if it was from a pipe burst, a ceiling leak, or something worse. It turned out (after a lot of self-experimentation) that it was from the toilet (most likely the feed that goes into the toilet bowl itself) -- since it was from the original condo build in 2003, and this was 2021, so... I guess toilets can stop working too? In any case, I had to scramble to get someone to fix it since I was afraid the leak would affect the floor beneath me (given how terribly this building was constructed, I wouldn't be surprised if the "between floor" spaces had issues). I bought my own toilet from Home Depot (thankfully they had some toilets, but I didn't get a water-saving one like I wanted because, despite the rebate, I don't actually pay for water in my building, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), and set out to find a plumber to install it. I tried to make sure I found a local business to support, so off I went! 1) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9/10. All things considered this turned out to be the cheapest option I had, since the other quote (Joe's 2 sons plumbing) was almost double what this one was. It came out to $523 (after tax) for labour and installation (of customer-provided toilet); the cost came out to be the same for either repair or replace ($375 for an onsite visit), but I needed to also change the angle stop for an extra $100 (labour inclusive). After tax, that seemed pretty reasonable, since I didn't know how to do this myself (Eero had mentioned it was pretty easy, but if it was my first time installing a toilet... maybe I should watch first). 2) QUALITY: 10/10. So far, no further leaks. I had a smarthome leak sensor near the toilet just in case, but I moved it elsewhere in the home as I realized these guys were legit, and I'm very happy with this off my back! 3) SERVICE: 10/10. The workmanship was solid - the most impressive thing I noticed was that I didn't need to move my over-toilet shelf to accommodate the plumbing work. He simply worked around it, and installed the toilet successfully! The plumber's name was "Eero" - he was no-nonsense, and even answered some other quick questions about my hot water heater that I had concerns about. The full turnaround was only six days, from "initial contact" to "work completed" (including a site visit to give me a free quote). I contacted them on September 3rd, and they completed the work on September 9, 2021. Jeremiah was responsive and explained everything in a very thorough and articulate manner (especially given my lack of understanding in the plumbing space).

Once Ryan arrived, he was extremely helpful and clearly determined to resolve the slow drain in our kitchen. He walked us through a few possible approaches and immediately got to work. After some diligent effort using a drain snake followed by his high‑powered water flushing equipment, the clog was finally cleared. Ryan also took the time to leave us with helpful tips on how to prevent future buildup, especially regarding cooking oils that had hardened inside the pipes. That extra guidance was much appreciated. Beyond his technical skills, Ryan was personable, friendly, and professional. In this day and age, it can feel worrisome inviting someone into your home--but Ryan is someone I'd gladly invite back for a cookout anytime. After researching plumbers I chose Ben's Plumbing based on their positive reviews and BBB accreditation, switching from the firm we had used several times in the past. Derek and Taylor arrived and were able to find the general area of the leak. In order to expose the pipes and pinpoint the leak, they concluded that a hole would need to be cut in the groove-and-tongue staggered planks that formed the underside of the overhang. Though they could cut the hole if I wished, they suggested that I have it done by a specialist for aesthetic reasons; Ben's could then return and fix the exposed pipe. I followed their suggestion. After the pipes were exposed I was able to locate the very wee leak. Ben's Plumbing then sent Derek and Taylor to do the repair. They did excellent work, and the total cost was very reasonable with no surprises. The office staff I communicated with (via text) to set up the two appointments, Michelle and Kiera, were a pleasure to deal with.

Jafco Plumbing had previously done two plumbing/sewer jobs for me at a reasonable cost and I had…read morepaid for a membership to get discounted services in the future. So, when I needed new hot and cold water inlet valves installed before the delivery crew would install my new washer, I called Jafco and made an appointment. The basic fee for a service call was quoted as $180. The Jafco plumber, Leif Storkersen, came as scheduled, looked at the job, and wrote up an estimate. I was stunned to see the cost: $691.38! When I expressed my astonishment and dismay, he explained that they had a minimum job cost, so the price was the total of their minimum job cost plus the two valves, plus tax. I accepted this outrageous bid because I figured that I was on the hook for the service call and because of the time pressure--the washer delivery was scheduled for the next day. Yes, Jafco successfully installed excellent new spigot valves, but I doubt very many plumbers in Seattle would charge almost $700 for barely a half hour of work and a few dollars in parts.

I then called Josh, the owner of 5 Star Backflow, and he and his team worked around the clock to help me because I was up against a deadline. His communication with us was spectacular and thanks to him our water did not get cut off. We even had a complication with the backflow valve being broken, but he got it taken care of and he went way above and beyond to help us. Once they had me in their system, they started contacting me in advance to schedule the test each year, which I really appreciate since the city notice doesn't usually give a lot of turnaround time. This year the city surprised me by sending the notice a month early, and I was on vacation when the notice came. This left me with just over a week before it was due. I contacted 5 Star Backflow Services and they were able to do the test just a couple days later. After the test they always send the report directly to the city within 24 hours. I have been very pleased with the service. Thank you!

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME we have posted this review. The first one was removed by Yelp for "not enough detail." We can only wonder if Bee's had something to do with that, as they will apparently fight like heck to get negative reviews removed. Bee's Plumbing requires approximately $100 to come out and look at your problem. The money can be applied to any work done. Beware, though! They will give an outrageous estimate. You won't want them to do work at their quoted price, but you're now out $100 for nothing. Find yourself a company that does not operate in this manner. Our first problem was a leak at the kitchen sink. We were not having, and never mentioned, blockage problems, only a leak at the sink drain. However, they proposed to change out the plumbing under the kitchen sink because "the baffle you have can cause blockages." Our second problem was a broken part under the bathroom sink. They advised a faucet replacement. A new part could be easily obtained; the job did not warrant an entire faucet replacement. After we declined the kitchen sink re-plumbing and the bathroom sink faucet replacement, the two workers went out to their truck for a long time, so long that I finally went outside to ask what was up and to find out what their charge would be to fix the kitchen sink leak. They refused to answer or leave their truck until they finished researching a faucet replacement, which they were still proposing. We had no choice but to go back inside the house and wait it out . . . finally they came to the door with an estimate of over $700 to fix the two kitchen sink drains for our leak problem. At that point we told them we were done. Later, we called Moen and they mailed out a new bathroom sink part (for free!) and then another plumber installed it (also for free, since it took only five minutes and he was here anyway for the kitchen sink fix). The new plumber's rates were far, far more reasonable than the Bee's quote. We received an email from Bee's after they were here to which we replied with a complaint about their practices. We never heard back. However, when we gave a negative Yelp review, we heard back immediately! In fact, we received multiple emails and phone calls. They gave the most absurd excuses for their behavior on the original visit; for instance, claiming that they were not happy with the way the guy "in training" had spoken to us. It was really difficult to get them off the phone, as they were insistent on making things right somehow because their "reputation is so important" to them. We did not want to bargain with them in any way about their service or amends of any kind or our Yelp review. We were definitely through with them because of what seemed to us like dishonest business practices. After the third call we demanded that Bee's never call us again. We are not the first to give a similar review, so it looks like Bee's has chosen not to change their ways. This seems to be their business model. read more

Seattle is EXPENSIVE! And it is very difficult to get quality work swiftly. Bee's was as good as it gets . . . prices were a little high, but after discussing options & the extent of work we needed, it was clear that the prices were well within range . . . plus they were out VERY quickly. They identified the true issue behind our immediate issue . . . which probably will save us thousands in other plumbing failures in the future. In other words, they didn't just fix the one problem, collect payment & move on . . . Ben took the time to provide FANTASTIC customer service and identified the root of our problem. He's very knowledgeable in both HVAC and plumbing . . . and the next time I have any issue . . . Bee's Plumbing and Heating will be our FIRST and ONLY call. Thank you for caring. Thank you for your quality of work. Thank you for working with me on pricing . . . THANK YOU, BEE's. So a note on the pricing: they use a pricing provider that bases pricing on Seattle prices, not national averages. You're going to find that is the case with all of the local *licensed, bonded and insured* Seattle HVAC and plumbing contractors . . . if you're getting a toilet installed for the national average ($376 according to Home Advisor in November 2017) you're probably not dealing with a licensed contractor, you're dealing with an apprentice, or you're going to wait days or weeks to get someone in. Ben extended me $400/toilet & gave me $100/toilet discount for hauling the toilets away myself. So he was less than the national average & FAR less than the average in Seattle . . . I had him do 3 toilets, 2 faucet installs and a furnace repair . . . so if you have a bunch of work, he'll work with you. If you're looking for a single toilet install . . . you should expect a little more: like probably $450 or so. He offers a deal here on Yelp too, which I didn't see until after he was here, but he built in the discount for me anyway. If you read any of the negative reviews here on Yelp, (and I read them & called them anyway) know that those reviews are from people who are fundamentally clueless. I actually discussed the two reviews I read with Ben while he was here. A word to the wise: if your HVAC specialist warns you that your water heater is improperly vented & spewing carbon monoxide into your home . . . there's a good chance you should probably listen to them . . . not leave a one star review. Bee's is an owner operated husband and wife team whose service goes above & beyond . . . and really, that is just awesome to find now days. I HIGHLY recommend them. read more

The 5-star rating is mostly about the technicians and the job done. Trent and Bryson showed up the first thing in the morning of the scheduled day. I had planned on getting my kitchen waste disposal and a toilet replaced. When they checked my kitchen sink, they found my faucet hard to pivot (which has been annoying me for years) and said they could include it in the quote. The quote for installing the disposal (I already got one from Lowes), a new faucet and installation, and a new ToTo toilet and installation was about $2,200 plus tax. It was more than what I was prepared for, so I told them to just replace the disposal. They were fine with this and didn't push further, which I appreciated. As they were preparing the job, I did more research. Although I could save several hundred dollars if I purchase the items with installation from Lowes, I had a very bad experience trying to schedule the disposal installation through them which wasted me a lot of time, so I eventually decided to ask them to do all three while they were here. Trenton and Bryson were efficient and got everything done in the morning. They did a nice job and cleaned up everything well. They were professional and courteous. It was pleasant interacting with them. The rest of this review is about the company. Scheduling with them was pretty easy. They had availability right away, although this was also the case with the other two companies I called. All three companies charged dispatch fee which can be waived if you decide to work with them. Bee's Plumbing was the highest one at $99, and I had to say that they didn't mention this until I asked (they were the 3rd company I called, so I learned). I called these companies when I was out of town. When they told me they could send someone on the same day or the next day and the dispatch fee, I told them I would call them after I got back in town. The other two companies were fine with this, but Bee's Plumbing told me they were having a promotion and they could give me $59 off, and they could schedule in advance. So I scheduled a day with them. The most inconvenient thing with Bee's Plumbing is that their schedule window is a whole day from 8 am to 5 pm, and they texted me at 7 am on the scheduled day to let me know someone will arrive between 8:30 and 9:30. I have a regular job and that scheduled day was probably the only day out of an entire month that I could have a whole day open. This may make working with them again in the future difficult. read more

I contacted Bee's Plumbing for an issue with my footing drain mainline. The mainline had been invaded by root weed vegetation that had likely rehydrated with recent rain. I was placed on their schedule for the same day which was excellent; additional rain was expected. Throughout the day I was contacted multiple times, each time providing updated arrival window information and service call position. I found this extra step a nice personal touch and allowed me to run a few errands knowing I had a 30-minute window to be home prior to my technician's arrival. My technician was Dillon. He was accompanied by an apprentice, Salih. Both introduced themselves and were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and listened to the narrative of my issue. After approximately an hour or so, the weed root vegetation was sufficiently cut using a mechanical cable device with a cutting tool attachment that dislodged the remaining root vegetation and clearing the mainline. As a side note. I have a second mainline drain for the peripheral yard and driveway. Dillon inspected the peripheral drain and clean-out and informed me it was working properly and showed no signs of being clogged. He suggested a maintenance procedure to ensure continual drain flow. Once both mainlines had been inspected, Dillon used a camera to verify all root vegetation had been removed from the footing drain mainline. He also was able to locate the spot where the root weed began its invasion and marked the location on the ground with the depth noted. He advised me of future maintenance protocol to prevent the same problem in the future. I appreciated his time, information, and future invasion prevention suggestion. I cannot say whether Bee's Plumbing was more or less expensive than another plumbing company. To me, the cost was worth the timeliness of the appointment, the courtesy and professionalism of both Dillon and Salih, not to mention my mainline is clear and I no longer am concerned about water backing up into my crawlspace. I would hire them again in the future and will do so for the suggested maintenance by Dillon. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Bee's Plumbing. This was my second time using them--my first experience with Jose was great, which is why I returned. However, this time was nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. Our boiler was working, but it would occasionally shut off abruptly, requiring frequent restarts. When Jeff, the technician, arrived, he immediately focused on a water leak--even though the leak wasn't even happening at that time. Despite this, Jeff insisted that I needed to replace the entire system, quoting a ridiculous $28K. When I questioned why a full replacement was needed, he suddenly offered a $7K alternative but still did not address the original issue with the boiler itself. Before Jeff's visit, I had done my own research and found a few possible causes for the issue, including: Ignitor Failure - It may be dirty, damaged, or malfunctioning. Gas Valve Issue - The gas valve may be faulty or not opening properly. Flame Sensor Issue - A dirty or faulty flame sensor could prevent ignition. However, Jeff did not check any of these. Instead, he fixated on a water leak and pushed for an unnecessary replacement. To make matters worse, Jeff later called me and was rude, claiming that I had been trying to get in touch with him when I had not. His tone was condescending and unhelpful, leaving me feeling disrespected and frustrated. I decided to get a second opinion from another technician, who identified the actual issue--a faulty flame sensor. As for the leak? The solution was simple: tighten a screw. Once that was done, the system worked perfectly. I feel completely misled by Bee's Plumbing. Rather than diagnosing the real problem, they tried to push me into a costly replacement without justification. I can't help but feel like this was an attempt to scam me. I also believe they should refund the diagnostic fee, as the service was completely useless. I would strongly caution others to be wary of their tactics. read more

Any household plumbing issue can be nerve-wracking & stressful but the team at Bee's has been incredible every step of the way, especially technicians José C. & Bogey. After being out of town around Christmas, I came home New Year's eve to find a leaky water main valve. I'd also been having concerns about my tankless water heater & radiant heating. I expected to just leave a voice mail & have someone contact me after the holiday, but not only was my call answered, an appointment was scheduled promptly with José, whose specialties include hydronic, radiant & boiler systems. José not only fixed the main water valve leak in minutes upon arriving, he thoroughly diagnosed the issues with my tankless water heater, as well as a new concern (excessively high water pressure coming into the house). Our experience with PJ and Jim from Bee's was a lot of things: easy, well-priced, timely, and professional, just to name a few. But it was also an extremely valuable lesson for us in homeownership. We'd gotten a quote from Bee's to replace our water heater in August 2022. Our thinking then was basically that, even though our water heater was old, we weren't having any actual problems with it. We decided not to move forward with the replacement at that time. Then, last week, it up and died without a moment's notice (as they apparently tend to do). We knew that between inflation and supply chain shortages, there was no way we'd be able to get the same price we'd been quoted last year. So, we called Bee's and Beacon for quotes. While I'm sure Beacon does great work, we weren't thrilled with our quote experience. The tech literally spent 5 seconds looking at the pilot light and told us we'd need a new one, no two ways about it, and that it'd be $8300. (Significantly more than Bee's quote in 2022.) Bee's quote, shockingly, came in slightly under Beacon's. They also took the time to explain exactly what all our options were, in addition to the tankless heater we were interested in, and explained not just the price differences, but the specific benefits and drawbacks of each option. It's one of the only times we've EVER worked with a service provider for home improvement and felt like we were actually making an informed choice instead of backed into a corner. We couldn't be happier with the installation procedure and the new tankless heater itself. After trying a couple other residential pluming companies with mixed results, I found Bee's plumbing via an online search. Based on the reviews I was hopeful that Bee's plumbing could be the company I've been looking for, unfortunately they turned out to be similar to the rest. I had two jobs at my residence which I needed a plumbing to help with, 1. descaling my tankless water heater 2. install an extension to my septic line for RV septic tank draining. The descaling went well and was within the expected price, however the septic line extension consisted of adding 3 feet of pipe to my existing line and placing an elbow and cap at the end. The extension took them 40 minutes to complete, after which they charged me $1800. In fairness, they did provide me an up front estimate for both, making me think that the extension was going to be a much larger effort. In my personal opinion, $1800 for 40 minutes of work, in a crawl space that provided 5 feet of clearance, seemed rather steep. Since the technicians didn't seem to have much flexibility on the pricing, I had them move forward with the work and talked to the Bee's management team about my concerns. Based on our conversation, the Bee's highly customer focused staff worked with me on a price adjustment. Bee's has proven that they are focused on their customers and backed up their customer satisfaction pledge. I would definitely recommend Bee's pluming moving forward. A company sets itself apart, not when everything goes well, but how they do when things become challenging, Bee's team stepped up provided a great outcome to a challenging situation. I had leak in my upstairs bathroom that was leaking into the dining room wall below. I looked on Yelp for local plumbers with great reviews. Of all the companies that I called Bee's Plumbing actually answered the phone. They were able to schedule my appointment within a day. One thing that I really appreciated from Bee's was all of the appointment reminder's that I received. For each visit, I receive an email reminder the day prior. The day of, I received an email, text, and phone call to let me know when the technician was on his way to my home. When Ben came to my home to assess the problem, he was very detailed in explaining to me what all of my options were and why each element of the job was necessary for the best result. And he was very patient with all of my questions. Each quote that we discussed was emailed to me immediately. During the assessment, Ben showed me that a portion of the bathroom sub-floor had rotted completed and needed to be replaced in order for Ben to securely attach the new toilet flange. Ben took the initiative to call a contractor that he knew and the contractor scheduled me the next day to repair the sub-floor. After the contractor removed the rotted sub-floor and installed the new one, Bee's was able to get me on the schedule the very next day. For Ben's next visit, I requested some additional plumbing tasks that weren't a part of the original plan. Ben didn't fuss. My water company alerted me that I had a leak somewhere in my system. I was able to determine that the leak was outside - which was a terrible prospect as I live on half an acre with a large driveway and multiple planting beds, lawns, trees, etc. Luke came out almost immediately and was also alarmed by the difficulties of the property, but assured me he could help. He quickly set up an appointment for the following Monday. His 'water leak finder' guy was right on time and after all sorts of technical work, he found the leak. Meanwhile, Luke showed up (on the very early end of the allotted time frame) and explained to me exactly what needed to be done and how much it would likely cost. He then got right to work and quickly fixed the problem. Not only that, since he had to cut back a shrub, he cleaned up the mess and even put it in my lawn waste container for me. When it came time to calculate the bill, he told me what discounts were available and applied them to the bill. While it was still an expensive job, it was completely quickly and efficiently and under the original price quoted. I might add that Luke was not only a great worker, he was also personable and kind and compassionate. If I ever need plumbing services in the future, I will definitely call Bee's first and will specifically request Luke - although if the rest of the work force are anything like him, I'm sure they're all great. (Also, when the job was completed, the company emailed me and double-checked on the quality of the job and whether I was happy with it; I thought that was a nice touch!) read more

I am happy to write a 5-star++ review for Jeff and Sean from Bee's Plumbing--for their prompt response in an Emergency and their Outstanding Service until my problem was resolved. When my downstairs neighbor alerted me to a possible leak in my condo--water was coming into her condo--I was able to quickly shut off the water supply to my toilet. However, I clearly needed professional help right away. Having noticed Bee's Plumbing signs on Delridge Way during my commutes, I decided to call them for assistance. Although Jeff and Sean were about to finish their workday, they made time to come to my condo and address the problem. They ensured there would be no further leakage and, at my request, even removed the toilet and offered to dispose of it. Their willingness to go the extra mile provided me with "peace of mind" during a very stressful situation. I later called Jeff with several other questions about plumbing, and he was always willing to offer guidance, his opinion and cost estimates. When it came time to choose a new toilet, Jeff took the time to discuss the advantages of different brands and models, helping me make an informed decision. In the end, I decided to replace only the one toilet, and I specifically requested Jeff and Sean do the installation. I rarely write reviews, and if I do they are usually to complain about something. The fact that I am so overwhelmed with the quality service and attention from Bee's prompts me to write my fist ever favorable review. As a retired designer in the architectural and building trades, I have had my fair share of experiencing and hearing from others about the nickel and dimeing of customers from plumbers among other annoyances. Not so with Bees. The prices were more than reasonable, and the service I got from everyone from the receptionist to the technicians were outstanding. Very accommodating and honest. The technicians sent to my home, Darius and Baylor, were very friendly, accommodating, professional, honest and clear on what needed to be done. What stuck me all the more was their offering to tweak a few odds and ends that needed tightening or rearrangement at no charge. They even saved me a trip to the hardware store or internet search to find a hole cap in stainless steel that they did not initially have and went shopping for later to get it for me. Now that's amazing customer service. They were on time for the two appointments I had with them.. Whatever Bee's is doing to ensure an amazing and positive customer service keep on it. It's great! I will surely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone seeking this sort of service. We love Bee's Plumbing, not just for their plumbing work, but also because of their exceptional service. We had a kitchen faucet that was leaking and they were able to send someone out the morning after I called. PJ arrived right on time, and quickly replaced it. He took the time to explain what had broken with the old faucet, too. Going above and beyond, he removed a good chunk of the interior cabinet that had been damaged from the leak, which was so kind of him! While changing out the faucet he identified some issues with our shutoff valves (the rubber o-rings were old and disintegrating) and was very honest about the cost to repair. He had to do quite a bit of extra work to remove some of the disintegrated particles so we could use the new faucet, but even with that, didn't pressure us to do the repairs right away, which I really appreciated. We also had an exterior spigot we couldn't use because the faucet had some kind of attachment that wouldn't fit a garden hose. I asked if he could replace it. He was transparent that it would be a big job requiring cutting into the drywall, and instead identified what it was (a broken backflow preventer), removed the broken piece (which we'd tried to do ourselves unsuccessfully), showed me the replacement piece I could purchase myself, and explained how to install. Seriously, the technicians from Bee's have always gone above and beyond to make sure the job gets done and you know your options for repairs. Bee's. That's it! Give them a call! Time and again when my wife and I want something done excellently for our home - We call Bee's. Especially their specialist when it comes to recirculating heating systems, namely Jose. Jose is like having a tech specialist, high-skilled tradesperson, lab Scientist and "Plumbing Artist" in one human being! Consistantly, this Gentleman Tech goes over and beyond to, not only service our system, but also to mention many things that can save us money and time! Bee's is always forthright with their pricing, billing choices and suggestions for how we can better tackle our home system changes or problems. Did I mention that he and Atajcon completely serviced, cleaned-out, installed an entire new thermostat system, house mains-regulator plus electronic controllers and....wait for it...."Apps " on our Smart phones to better control our system(s) with?-- All this after I just slightly suggested that we hadn't followed through with a completed re-wiring (Through electrical contractors), of our Garage where our heating unit was ....because of the expense. Jose found a way to not only negate the need for re-wiring, but also, modernizing our whole system towards the future! Here is the blown away part!: It WOULD have cost us a TON more for extra electrical and.....he and his assistant got the entire work done in less than 4 hours! -American workmanship, pride and customer service are on their way back! Our water heater stopped working last Thursday night, and my landlord contact Bees on Friday. Soon, I received confirmation that Josh and TD would come to repair/replace it the next day. They arrived on time and explained their entire process to me before starting work. After inspection, they told me that this water heater had been in use for seventeen years and had no value for repair. It must be replaced. They usually carried a standard water heater model for replacement, but they had no stock in their car because our model was a unique old one. Considering my urgent need, they would try to find it at the Home Depot. If stock is available, they can replace it on the same day. Unfortunately, they made a trip in vain because the Home Depot was out of stock. Josh promised me that they would stock up on Monday morning and come to help me replace it around 9 o'clock. He didn't break his promise. Before 9 o'clock on Monday, they had already pulled the water heater to my garage door. It took them two or three hours to replace the water heater and fix the water supply pipe. We have been using the new water heater for six days, and it works well. I am very satisfied with the efficiency and quality of Josh and TD's work. Their entire service team has very smooth communication and clear quotations. Bee's Plumbing is fantastic!! Jose and his team were amazing at re-plumbing our entire home, installing a tankless water heater and replacing the main pipe that goes to the city supply (under a ton of concrete to boot) in just about a week. They worked tirelessly the first day so we'd be able to at least use the toilet and when we had water access again but were having an issue with the valve/water pressure for the shower, they fixed it immediately and cleaned out the shower head which was filled with rust (from our old galvanized pipes - gross!). They also moved a water spigot on the outside of our house that used to be next to outlets and added a spigot on the outside of the house from the laundry room to make watering the garden on the side of our house WAY easier. If you're wondering whether to make the move to tankless - do it! Does it cost more? Sure, but aesthetically it's nicer to look at, more energy efficient and INSTANT hot water. We used to wait 2 minutes for the water in our bathroom sink to warm up - not anymore! Also, when we were doing the quotes process, Jose was very thorough on a good, better, best recommendation and was prompt in all communications. We cannot recommend Bee's Plumbing enough! [Updates] Bee's manager Jonah called me later and explained why they didn't contact me. It was because he was in a conference out of town. He gave me a call right after going back to Seattle. He resolved my issue fast and professionally, and I believe they really care customers a lot. tl;dr: The general experience is just like stung by a Bee unexpectedly. The good reviews here are very misleading. Full story: The drain was clogged in my laundry room. 1. Called them in the morning to schedule the same day drain cleaning service. Received a call on around 2:30PM to notify me they can't do it. It is too late to find another same-day plumber. 2. They came in the morning of the second day. The tech sent me a quote at $555 before doing the job. Expensive, but I accepted because I want to get it resolved ASAP. After the job was done, the charge was changed to $738 without any reason. 3. I called them to ask for the reason. They told me the tech will call me to give me explanation. But no call. 4. I called them again on the third day, and they said their manager will call me to resolve the issue. But no call again. Today is the fifth day, no one contacted me. 5. They also charged me $681 for camera inspection. But I didn't receive any inspection report. I have filed dispute with my credit card company to charge my money back. read more

Woke up in the morning over Veterans Day weekend and found sludge and some water leaking out of water heater. When we called Bee's the dispatcher was friendly and they were able to get a crew out to us within 90 minutes! PJ Straight and his apprentice (Brayden I think) were fantastic. PJ did a nice job running down our opptions regarding brands, sizes and costs of a new water heater. We were not pressured to buy any particular product. After deciding what we wanted they were able to pick up the water heater we wanted and get to work. The job took a few hours and PJ answered all our questions about the new water heater. Everything was cleaned up nicely when the job was finished. They were even nice enough to help us get our garage sink re-attached after it had been pulled away from the wall, disloging the drain pipe at the wall. Both men were very friendly and professional. We were happy to find out that Bee's does not charge an extra fee for weekends or holiday work. Normally having to replace expensive home appliances is a real pain in the neck, but PJ and Bee's Plumbing made the experience as pleasant as it possibly could be. We will definately be calling on Bee's plumbing in the future for any plumbing needs we have. read more

It was a Saturday, so... not a great start to the weekend, and also, not a lot of (decent) plumbers available! Anyway, I posted a project on Yelp, and Homeservice Plumbers were fairly quick to respond after my other Project options (not to be named here) either demanded a phone number or made wishy-washy timing range options (which were not amenable to my schedule). Homeservice Plumbers was quick, to the point, and not pushy or demanding at all anytime I was talking to them. I scheduled for Tuesday between 12-2pm arrival, and Xavier, the first person who came out to see the problem, showed up in a timely manner (just before 12pm!) as he had another service call in the area. He was respectful of property (brought his own shoe coverings!) and was also pleasant to work with. Unfortunately he didn't have the tools, but he was the one to call in Nick who had the requisite tools for the job. He confirmed the service would be possible, and off he went. The next person, Nick was great to work with - he arrived promptly at 5pm (the quoted range was 3-5pm, which was perfectly reasonable), respected the property (brought his own shoe coverings, asked to use a small bowl to capture the grease drippings from the p-trap, and cleaned up after the work was done), and was able to provide a fair estimate for a high value of quality work. He finished by 6:30pm and confirmed the drain was working, and verbally confirmed (it's not on the invoice but I hope I never have issues again!) that there's a one year labour warranty - great deal! I never caught the phone "operators" name (my bad, she called me THRICE and I still never caught her name), but she was cordial, polite, and quickly handled my concerns for updates on when the plumber(s) would arrive. Scheduling through Yelp was simple and easy - and having no "service call" fee means there's no obligation to go through with anything you're not comfortable with. Anyway, short story (really) long: this company is on my list of "high quality work at a fair rate", because (1) they don't charge for service calls, which is a bold move in today's service-oriented environment, (2) they are reasonable with pricing given that I'd done some research beforehand, and (3) they verbally offered a warranty for their services, which means that they're willing to stand by the quality of their work. Call them today for your plumbing issues. Fair, honest, trustworthy service is hard to come by - the companies you see on the billboards aren't the only options in town!
