Bee's came out to look at a sump pump problem I had. The sump pump had become disconnected from the drain line (pvc pipe). It needed to be reconnected. Since the sump pump was 20 years old, I asked about getting a replacement. They quoted me over $2000 to reattach the sump pump and over $12,000 to replace the pump. The pump retails for about $1000. The amount of time to reattach the pump was less than 1 hour (completed by a different company yesterday). I asked the Bee's repairmen when they presented their bid why it costs so much. They couldn't explain it. I sent the bid back to the company (email) and asked them, they haven't responded. They got their fee ($99 + tax) for showing up, but they obviously didn't want the job so decided to way over price their bid. What a waste of my time and money. read more

Our shower faucet handle failed, so off to Home Depot we go to get a replacement. For a guy with aerospace experience how hard could it be... So, called Bee's Plumbing, the dispatcher is polite and professional, scheduled the appointment for that day (Sunday). Took some time, however keep us informed. When the technician (Julio) arrived, he was not only equally professional and friendly, but took the time to explain what failed and how a fellow with aerospace experience could fix it the next time. Called Bee's Plumbing after being referred to them by a neighbor. One of our drains started to backflow suddenly and ended up flooding our laundry room/basement. Bee's was able to send Josh & TD out the next day. Our house is old (1952) and we knew that a lot of work would need to be done eventually with the plumbing and piping in the home - plus the previous owner seem to have done a lot of the "work" himself so there were some weird things that just didn't make sense. Despite this, Josh's investigative work was truly amazing and he was able to eventually figure out the problem and clear the clog for us. Not only did he fix our sewer backflow but he also noticed a problem with our water pressure - turns out we had a 20+ water heater that needed to be replaced. He was able to replace our water heater and then also referred us to a water remediation company to take care of our flooded basement. Josh was able to clearly explain everything, gave us fair pricing, went above and beyond what we expected, and was kind/considerate with our family (we had a toddler running around and a newborn). We couldn't be happier with Josh and TD's professionalism and time. This also goes for the entire Bee's staff from the people calling to tell us the technician was on their way to the person who answered the phone when we called about the problem. They explained what the situation was and the most likely fix needed. They quoted me a fair price and started the work. Then, Ryan and Eric discovered something that would make the job easier and quicker in the design of the kitchen pipes. They told me and revised the quote down to reflect the time saved! They fixed a sump pump other companies told me I had to replace. Ally plumbing and I went back and forth playing phone tag literally for months. They said they were having trouble finding a replacement Sump pump for me, which may well have been true with COVID shortages. My issue with them was having to chase them down with daily phone calls without getting return calls to me what was going on. We had a pretty wicked windstorm the Wednesday before last. It knocked out our water main. (I think the tree that fell on our house shook so hard the branches broke the main) I called around and nobody could come out in a timely manner. Bee's was able to come out the next day to restore our water. They are also the only plumber on yelp to have a perfect 5 star review with an abundance of reviews. Oh, they also rented a machine that burrowed a hole instead of digging a trench across our front lawn....way less invasive. They attached a "tracer" of some sort that will be able to pinpoint a break should it ever happen again, reducing future cost. read more

Pros: They were very professional and communicative throughout the entire process. They back their work with a warranty. I called them out to inspect and repair a loose toilet - they were quick to diagnose the issue and resolve it. The entire process may have taken an hour and they resolved some minor issues they found as they went. Big plus on that. Cons: Pricing. I was a bit surprised at the quote they gave me on the spot but I saw the reviews this company gets all around and I gave that some authority. After doing some research online regarding labor/parts and talking to other professionals post job, the majority vote was that pricing was on quite the high end. Overall thoughts: You get what you pay for in the end (at least you would hope). But I think in this scenario, the value received for the price I paid is questionable. Will you get great service with Bee's? Absolutely, but do your due diligence, try to get an accurate estimate, and spend that time to receive multiple quotes. read more

We've used Bee's plumbing two times now for different services and they provide consistently great service! Each time, the service provider explained the issue, asked about associated warranties, and provided different levels (and prices) for fixes. I really appreciate that they present various options for moving forward and letting us decide. The first time they came out, our tankless water heater was on the fritz. Matt came out to help us fix it, noting that it was still under warranty. He explained that our brand of water heater frequently has this type of problem and he could call the company, order the part, and return to install the part. He also told us we could replace the whole thing. He gave us prices for each and we went with the first one. When the part came in, we scheduled the installation. We were up an running with hot water after that. The second time, we had Ben, the owner, come out and check the kitchen drain. Our dishwasher was occasionally not draining. Ben removed some debris from air gap and now it is working. Back story: we had two other professionals come out to help us with the kitchen drain.The first plumber came by, told us to call a dishwasher repairman, charged us $200 and left. We called the dishwasher repair guy and he said "get a new dishwasher because the pump on this one isn't strong enough." We bought a new dishwasher, months later, and the kitchen drain still wasn't working. Knowing that Bee's did a great job on our hot water heater, we called them for the kitchen drain. Kudos to this locally owned an operated business!!! read more

We had a great experience with Bee's. We found water leaking into our basement. Bee's sent Tate out within a few hours of our call, and he was able to identify a likely cause within a few minutes: a sewer drain backup. Tate not only successfully snaked what turned out to be a pretty nasty root ball growing into our main drain line; he felt so strongly that we would benefit from a camera inspection of the line that he threw it in at no cost when it became apparent that it wasn't within our budget at this time. Tate took the time to explain what needed to be done at every step of the process. He even helped us unclog the faucet head in our kitchen sink. I needed to have someone come out right away to help us with our furnace after we smelled gas and became woozy and sick. We just bought the house and when the guys came over, I felt really silly since it turned out we actually had an electric furnace. When they opened up the furnace, they could see that it was brand new. Ben advised us that at the very beginning, the oil left over from manufacturing it would need to burn off, and that was likely the cause. Since there is only a little, he had us run the furnace with all the windows open and air the house out. The guys checked the *whole house* just to make sure there wasn't another gas appliance. We called Bee's to come fix a leaking shower faucet and the entire experience was fantastic, beginning with the woman who answered the phone who was so sweet and nice and very accommodating for my time constraints to the two plumbers who arrived to do the work. they were professional, explained everything to me in detail, gave me all the options available and did the work professionall, efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. On Saturday evening our kitchen sink stopped draining so I ran the garbage disposal to see if it had food in it. This caused water and old food to shoot up out of our bathroom sink. I went on Yelp and found great reviews for Bee's so I filled out their online form. I spoke with Bee's first thing Sunday morning and they scheduled Darius to come out on Monday morning. Darius and his assistant arrived when scheduled. Darius checked out our pipes under the house and determined that it was definitely a clog. He snaked it, got everything working and then explained to us why it happened and what we should do to prevent it from happening again. He also left us with a waste eliminator to continue to use to keep the pipes clean. He was so personable and patient in explaining everything he was doing that I mentioned we also were having some issues with a toilet. Well, to no surprise, he fixed that too! They had someone out Monday morning to take a look.
