Dr. Torkian is truly wonderful. I've been doing botox for a long time, and found my first visit with Dr. Torkian to be among the best. He has an artful approach, he's realistic, and kind but direct about what procedures can and can't do aesthetically and the price was very reasonable, especially for a Beverly Hills office. Highly recommended. I was nervous and cynical about getting surgery to straighten out a couple fractures and improve my breathing. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Torkian. I went there with my 20+ year old son to fix his nose which was large and very hooked. In addition, his septum inside was completely deviated so he could not breathe properly or easily through his nose. Dr. Torkian took the time to explore what we would want the nose to look like and only gave his opinion when asked. We collaborated and arrived at the right look for his face. The first surgery went well for the rhinoplasty part but the septum did not hold and re-deviated within a week. It was a bummer but Dr. T and his friendly helpful office staff made good on it and rescheduled a second surgery a few months later to fix it again at no extra charge. They are so easy to work with and genuinely care and try to do their best with each patient. People have to understand that there are never absolute guarantees when it comes to plastic surgery. So you would be wise to choose a competent and honest practitioner so if something needs adjusting, he/she will stand by you until you get the expected result. Dr Torkain is very competent and honest. He did his very best and my son's nose now looks beautiful and functions perfectly. I recently had rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Torkian and I am beyond ecstatic with my results. From the very first consultation, now mind you this is the fourth Doctor I've had a consultation with because I wanted to do my research and make sure I found the right Doctor for me. I've also never had any kind of procedure done before which can be scary. From the moment I walked in the door and talked with the receptionist I felt a very warm welcoming atmosphere. I was then taken to get pictures done so they could do the before and after of how my nose could end up looking. I then met with Dr. Torkian who was very warm and easy to talk to. I told him what bothered me with my nose (dorsal hump) and what I would like to change. He examined my nose and walked me through what he thought would be best for me. Then through their computer system was able to show me after pictures of how my nose would turn out if I go through with the procedure. It was exactly what I've always wanted. It was really natural looking and fit my face and did not look plastic like I had a nose job kind of look. I knew after I walked out of the office that day that I found my Doctor. After I set up an appointment for the procedure everything went smoothly. Every concern I had was addressed, him and his staff are really there for you with any question you have. Martha his patient consultant is the absolute best! I was in constant contact with her before and after the procedure with questions or concerns. She has such a warm welcoming personality you feel like your best friends with her after you talk with her. I had my procedure done two weeks ago now and I am still in the healing process, had my bandages taken off a week ago and I am beyond satisfied with my results! I had a consultation with Dr. Torkian @ 11, had to leave my house no later than 9:10. It was a drive, but totally worth it! My co-worker recommended me with him, I did some research and I was loving his work. I booked my consultation a month prior to my appointment. Staff is super friendly. Martha is so sweet. Dr. Torkian basically didn't have to ask me what I wanted, he already knew! He doesn't rush you. He takes his time with you and gives you the best advice. My name is Steve and Dr. Torkian did a septo and rhinoplasty on me. I had never liked my nose and wanted to have it taken care of since I was a teenager and nearly rushed into getting it fixed in my twenties, lets just say I'm glad I waited. There's no way to describe my experience with Dr. Torkian and his staff other than "perfect." I actually was having severe breathing problems from a broken nose years ago I never got fixed, and Dr. Torkian immediately assessed the issues while also guiding me through some minor cosmetic alterations I was debating. He listened and truly heard my issues, spent 2 hours with me on my initial consultation (which was free), and his entire staff were wildly supportive and comforting during the whole process. On the day of surgery I was so nervous, and everyone from nurses to the anesthesiologist came in to speak with me and made sure I was ok. His super clean and luxe facility made me feel comfortable and calm before and after, and the surgery was a piece of cake. Recovery was uncomfortable of course but Dr. Torkian gave me his cell number and we were texting throughout as he wanted to make sure all my questions were answered. What a legend! The part of Dr. Torkian's services I was most impressed with is how quickly I healed after surgery with his steps for success. It's exactly 2 weeks since my surgery date and I have no bruising, slight swelling (nothing noticeable) and have jumped in the ocean, gone on a run, ridden my bike and hung out with friends. I never expected that and although everyone is different, his healing suggestions (get the arnica pills and roller ball!) will set you up for quick healing! I had a modeling job 10 days after and he did everything he could to get me camera ready which I was. I assumed I'd be out for a month! Best of all I love my nose. I had my first rhinoplasty done with Dr. Grigoryant. I had a second procedure done with him to fix some issues and he completely ruined my nose. The tip had become so small and the skin so thinned out that it was constantly red. It was very, very bad. I kept going back to Dr. Grigoryant asking him to fix what he had done and he simply would say "there's nothing that can be done." Instead he would charge me $500 to inject fillers to the tip of my nose which wasn't any help. My entire family forbid me from getting another surgery done because they were sure that the 3rd time would be a complete disaster. But I couldn't stand looking in the mirror. I went and visited a friend who recently had a revision rhinoplasty done with Dr. Torkian, and that's when I decided to put my complete trust and faith in Dr. Torkian. I have done an extensive research before deciding on going with Dr. Torkian for my rhinoplasty/dev. septum surgery. I went to some famous BH surgeons as well for a consultation who were charging a lot more, however none was as attentive and thorough as Dr. Torkian. I was greeted by the nice front office staff at their beautiful facility on Lasky ave, which is also the place where I had my surgery. 3D pictures of my face taken (at no charge, most places charge for this service) and we spent about 2 hours (again at no charge) discussing what would be best for me. Besides building a great friendship with the doc over the following months, what I liked most is he showed me many of his previous work and we discussed with honesty what and why some were better than others. I had my surgery end of January, 2012, closed rhinoplasty, and I was up within 2-3 days with minimum bruising and quick recovery. My surgery took less than an hour. He did assure me the final result would be perfectly seen within one year and he sure was right. I am familiar with this as I know any plastic surgery takes 6mos -1 year for it to settle down completely. Although you have a pretty good idea about the result within 6 mons there is a visible improvement between the 6 mos to 1 year mark. I was quite careful and took my time to make a decision of which Dr I would go to and I could't be happier with Dr. Torkian. I suggest anyone who is considering a surgeon touch your face, where we are most vulnerable, you have to at least consult with Dr. Torkian. You won't regret it! PS- I went to Kanodian (the famous Ashley Simpson Dr.) and after waiting for an hour he only had 4 mins to spend with me as he was catching a plane to Fiji! I can't express how happy I am that I made the decision to have my very complicated revision rhinoplasty done with Dr. Torkian! My nose was broken very badly when I was 3 month old. I had a surgery at 15 and I think they did what they could for the very rural area I was living but through growth and the fact that the medical problems were not fully addressed in that first surgery, I needed another. I held off for years until finally I just needed to do it! I did a lot of research and met with many surgeons. I was referred to Dr. Torkian through a friend who had just finished a similar surgery with him. She raved about the entire staff and I had just gone through a really irritating experience with another office, so I was happy to go check them out. The office is beautifully decorated and feels comfortable, not like a medical facility, and definitely not like the typical, pretentious Beverly Hills plastic surgeon's office. His entire staff is amazing!! They are sweet, beautiful women who absolutely don't have the "plastic surgery" look... and yes, I know you know what I'm talking about if you've been to other offices. I've always wanted to have my nose done since I was 18. I was too afraid and let it go and never got around to it. Life took over. At age 41 midlife crisis hit, and I decided to do it. The huge task of finding the perfect physician started and stopped when I found Dr. Torkian. He's genuine, friendly and takes his time to listen. I'm a product designer and very picky, he totally understood every little concern and even "saw" what most people didn't see when I described the problem areas of my nose. He doesn't have the Vibe of the Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, he's not stuck up, and totally full of himself. As an artist I recognized one when I saw his work. He makes changes that suit your face. He did a few injections for me months before I went into the nose surgery. Everyone said, you look great...no one could tell what I had done, even my friends who get fillers. He did Juvederm and Radiesse for me in the cheek area... I love his staff, the girls are super friendly, Martha is very funny and helpful and Olivia is very sweet. After 6 months in May 2013 I went in for the nose surgery. It went very well, I'm healing and can't wait for the results once the swelling goes down. Amazing Doc, super friendly staff. Dr. Torkian has been doing my Botox since November 2009, but I inquired about a minor nose job and fat grafting under my eyes. So, I just had 2 simultaneous procedures done by Dr. Torkian. A removal of a box like bump on the bridge of my nose and fat grafting from my abdomen to the wells underneath my eyes and my cheek bones. I'm 45 y/o and as you grow older, fat dissipates making people look older than they'd like. Anyway, I was very concerned with the potential pain involved as I elected not to go the operating room route and general anaesthetic. At my request, he did the procedure in office under local anaesthetic only (same nerve block used by the dentist). Dr. Torkian has great personality and skill and as such my concerns with pain were unwarranted. He had a way with the injections, jiggling the my lip (the first injection site) so that it was barely felt. From there, it numbed upward so that each subsequent numbing injection was also barely felt. It was a breeze! The procedures had mainly the feeling of pressure and absolutely tolerable to the point of being a relief from my fears that it would be painful. I actually only paid for the under eyes and nose. Upon his election, he decided to do the cheeks as well, indicating that he wouldnt feel right about it if he didnt do it. No additional charge. Most surgeons charge per area, but he wanted to do the best job possible without nickel and diming me. Very refreshing. Oh and the result, Awesome. Straight nose and full looking eyesjust like when was 19! He wrote me a prescription for Vicodin for the post operative pain. This Doctor was so skilled as to not traumatize the tissue more than necessary, that not only did I not need the Vicodin, but I only took 2 doses of Tylenol Extra Strength and nothing thereafter. He just took off the dressing today and it is just what I wanted. In case you couldnt tell, I am recommending Dr. Torkian without reservation. read more
